Inkaar Episode 11 Story Review – Brilliantly Done
Tonight’s episode of Inkaar covered the aftermath of the attack on Hajra in the most apt manner possible. Every aspect of this problematic and extremely sensitive situation was covered in the most realistic and detailed manner possible. The dialogues in this episode were phenomenal throughout and there wasn’t a single scene which was out of place or unnecessary.
Perfect In Every Way
Tonight’s episode belonged to the writer, director and the actors involved since it was perfect in every way. This episode of Inkaar also had the most heart touching scenes which were acted out faultlessly. It is always a pleasure watching your favorite actors in situations which bring out the best in them. Yumna Zaidi and Rehan Sheikh nailed their scenes together. These scenes were also written beautifully because they showed a father’s helplessness and a daughter’s guilt superbly with great clarity.
Although, the writer made it quite clear in the previous few episodes that Hajra was in no way responsible for whatever happened to her but the scene in which she apologized showed that she still blamed herself for falling for someone like Rehan Chaudhry. Shayan’s frame of mind was translated on screen equally well by Sami Khan. His anger and outrage made perfect sense and the fact that he did not go back running to the hospital made it even more relatable. He did not want to listen to anyone’s reasoning and the conversation he had with his father also suggested that this wasn’t the first time that Rehan had wronged him. These were the kind of details which made this episode one of the best ones so far. People like Rehan usually show signs of their psychopathic personality early on in life. Shayan was always asked to ignore Rehan’s wrongdoings even when he was justified in reacting in a relatively violent manner. It seemed like Shayan wanted to take revenge for everything Rehan had done to him till date and all his pent up anger needed an outlet now which is why he even refused to listen to Hajra.
Easy To Connect To
Rehan’s stepmother’s role in spoiling him was further highlighted in this episode. This woman has no feelings and she is only ‘doing her job’ which most often involves covering up for her husband and son. Munazzah Arif has done complete justice to this role. Hajra’s mother and father’s conversation was right on point, I could understand their anger, disappointment, shock and fears so well. While her mother pleaded her daughter’s case in front of her son, she knew she could share her vulnerabilities and fears with her husband. Hajra’s mother has always been shown as a conservative and rigid woman who will probably give her a really tough time even now. The ‘log kya kahenge’ part was also covered in an impressive manner since very often people in this situation are pushed to worry about what people think more than the situation they are in. I am looking forward to watching what Hajra’s state of mind will be like once she is out of this trauma and can think straight. Rehan is injured and heart broken as well. All his scenes tonight showed that he never wanted to hurt Hajra and the reality of what he did is setting in. That doesn’t change the fact that he is the criminal and it would be great to see Hajra fighting to put him behind the bars. Imran Ashraf’s performance tonight was the best when Rehan had that conversation with his mother. Rehan is still confused and physically not fit enough to move around on his own therefore right now Shayan is running the show.
Overall Impression
The preview of the next episode showed that Shayan will finally find Rehan and will try to attack him. I can’t wait to watch their scenes and confrontation in the upcoming episode. Special thanks and appreciation for Yumna Zaidi for truly looking like someone who was going through hell. I hope all those actresses who find it impossible to look this way on screen would learn a thing or two from these scenes. Her makeover tonight made these scenes even more realistic. I absolutely loved this highly emotional and charged episode of Inkaar. Kashif Nisar directed tonight’s episode brilliantly and most of the performances tonight were truly mind-blowing.

Cheekh Episode 20 Story Review – Kuch Bhi
Opening Thoughts – Hit & A Miss:
Ohkay so, Cheekh drama as a whole is more on a hit & a miss kind of stage for me currently. Where some things work, some don’t because I truly feel the execution could’ve been better or should have been totally different to make things more realistic. I also feel that in stead of dwelling more on the misery of Mannat, it would’ve been far more exciting to show her preparing the case with the lawyer & handing him out all the important details to make it stronger, but as always, our writers don’t believe in doing the hard work, they just resort to negative scenarios & think showing bechargi of the characters is going to be enough.
Ramzan Ki Life Ban Gai:
Mannat was still unwell & pretty much in the hospital that is why she could not attend the court hearings. I think it was definitely required to show that even though she could not be there, she was in contact with the lawyer, meeting him at the hospital or even in the comfort of her home preparing the case with him. The lawyer from Mannat’s side seems to be heading on with the case based on the information he is getting from somewhere miraculously as his client is just unwell & mostly absent from the scene.
Shariq finally contacted Haya & told her everything about Ramzan. I think this scene should’ve come in the episode right after Shariq met Ramzan because after that Ramzan attended the hearing twice, so not sure why was Shariq waiting for so long, bearing in mind the fact that there’s a good span of time between every court session. Anyways, Shariq not only contacted Haya, he found Ramzan a job too & due finances to get back on his feet. Haya found Ramzan a house & just like that, Ramzan’s life flipped completely, which was good but the thing which was totally not good was his incessant crying & inaudible dialogues. Ugh! Also, I wish they had also shown a session of the lawyer with Ramzan telling him to buckle up & face Aqilzada’s cross questioning confidently, seeing him shiver continuously ticked me off.
Wajih commits a crime & then goes back to see how things are working in order to seek pleasure out of other’s misery, which I think is getting boring now. I found it totally unrealistic that after Mannat’s miscarriage, no one spoke to Yawar about it, rather Yawar only warned Wajih that ‘IF’ it turns out that he is responsible for what has happened with Mannat, he will leave him too? Like why was there even an ounce of benefit of doubt? Why didn’t anyone just make it a point to convince Yawar that it was Wajih who did all of this??? At least it is good to see Wajih being in contact with his lawyer, unlike Mannat who is just MIA. Amir Khan changed Nayab’s statement & not sure why it came as such a surprise to anyone. Also, Mannat’s lawyer asked for forensic reports, but then, even before the director does, I will tell him that those reports will be changed too, plus why not as Wajih has Yawar on his side who is experienced in getting the reports changed!
Closing Thoughts – Amusing Precap:
This episode of Cheekh was alright. The director seems to be losing the direction & the story is losing its impact, which I dreaded. In stead of turning it into Balaa Bhai (male version of Balaa) they should have kept the focus on the case & showing Mannat having an upper-hand but that thing has been compromised upon. Also, it is very frustrating that half of the dialogues are barely audible. Even in the scene where Mannat was crying in front of her mother, I could not get what she was saying whereas I watched that scene twice.
I think it’s a done deal that after inflicting one misery after another on Mannat, in the last episode magically & miraculously everyone like Haya, Siddique, Shehwar, Shariq etc etc etc etc will join forces and testify against Wajih & that will be the end of the drama, but before that happens, it is pretty obvious that things will continue to get dragged. To be honest, the preview of the next episode actually left me feeling amused that out of nowhere, Mannat will be declared mentally deranged & the judge will hurriedly order her to be admitted to the mental asylum? Matlab kuch bhi? Pehle to judge sahab ko kuch samajh hi nahi aa rahi thi but Mannat ko dekhte hi he will declare her pagal, lol!?! Mannat bechari awain hi itni hairstyling kar ke ayegi court, whereas she could’ve done totally fine with Samina Peerzada wali wig from Balaa. Anyways, please share your thoughts about this episode of Cheekh!

Mohsin Abbas Haider can easily be termed as the king of expressions since he pays great attention to detail. He also makes sure that he looks the role apart from translating the mannerism of his characters flawlessly on screen.
Madiha Imam
Madiha Imam is an absolute delight to watch on screen since not only is her portrayal of every character she plays perfect but her presence is pleasing to the eyes as well. Although Madiha Imam has not experimented like some of the other actors in this list but she has always given every character her best. Like Sami Khan, she too is one of those few actors who share great on-screen chemistry with all their co-stars. Madiha Imam never fails to impress and makes the viewers look forward to her scenes.
Yumna Zaidi
So young yet so immensely talented and wise as well. Yumna Zaidi is one of those very few good young female actors who choose their projects so carefully. She is well known not only for her natural acting but she is also highly respected by the drama watching audience because almost every drama she has been a part of lately and even in the past has provided quality entertainment. Yumna Zaidi lives and breathes the roles she plays, the fact that these portrayals come naturally to her is always evident from her performances. From Guzarish to Inkaar, the list of the memorable performances given by Yumna Zaidi is long. Yumna Zaidi has surely proven that for her convincing portrayals come before everything else. An actress who refused to let glamour and commercialism be the first priority for her, this list would be incomplete without Yumna Zaidi.
Ramsha Khan
Ramsha Khan is comparatively new in the list of actors that have been mentioned but it is a fact that she really has proved her acting skills in such a short span of time. Ramsha Khan has a strong screen presence and her effortlessness in emoting and acting makes her a very strong actor. Ramsha Khan’s recent dramas Khud Parast and Kaisa Hai Naseeban allowed her to showcase her talent and she was beyond impressive. Ramsha Khan has it in her that she can also do justice to non-commercial dramas and we hope she explores that genre as well.
Shehzad Sheikh
Shehzad Sheikh has been one of those actors who learned the craft on job and that it why we can see a considerable difference in his acting from before. Shehzad Sheikh has definitely remained consistent in his on-screen appearances but he does tend to stick to certain kind of roles. Since Shehzad Sheikh has really started giving brilliant performances, it would be interesting to see him trying different and challenging roles even more.

Ranjha Ranjha Kardi Episode 29 Story Review – Change of Heart
What a beautiful turn of events, loved tonight’s episode and absolutely love the new turn the story has taken. Noori is completely in control but not entirely out of danger therefore there is no guarantee that there will be smooth sailing from here on. Tonight’s episode had so many deep, meaningful and emotional conversations to its credit. Faiza Iftikhar pens down the best dialogues and her screenplay always keeps your at the edge of your seat. Kashif Nisar has directed this drama remarkably well and all the actors have done complete justice to this beautiful script.
Powerful Scenes
Noori and Bhola’s scenes tonight were sweet, they reminded me of the time before Bhola took the overdose and attacked Noori. The way Noori’s change of heart has been shown is not only convincing but also very intelligently done. Few weeks back we couldn’t have imagined Noori taking this step. In fact even last week she was more than ready to leave everything and elope with Sahir. Sahir and Noori’s scene was one of the many powerful scenes tonight. Noori made sure Sahir knew that she was no longer on his side and her dialogues also clearly elaborated why she decided that she had to change her thinking and her priorities. Noori has always been a strong and determined woman, now she is all set to save Bhola. She knew exactly where to find him and it was good to see Mumtaz Begum in a different light in this episode. I would have liked to see more of him/her because the dialogues tonight suggested that Mumtaz Begum was fighting a battle as well and might have had a story to tell. This scene however summed Mumtaz Begum’s thinking and struggle up really well. I am glad though that the focus throughout has been on the main characters and the story never went off track.
Noori, Bhola & Fehmida
The best part of this episode were Noori and Bhola’s scenes. Bhola instantly felt the change in Noori because this was no longer the same Noori who pushed him away and made him feel like he was not good enough. Imran Ashraf and Iqra Aziz were phenomenal in these scenes. Iqra Aziz’s expressions were superb throughout especially when Noori was reassuring Bhola of her support every time he was insecure. Imran Ashraf has owned his character throughout and it was especially good to see Bhola safe with Noori.
Fehmida finally put her foot down and was more protective of Noori than ever. Noori is a smart woman who knows how to get her way and Nusrat knows that only too well. That conversation Noori had with Fehmida made her think on those lines more than anything else. Now that Noori is expecting, Fehmida’s priorities have completely changed. She had Bhola after praying for a child for years, she loves Bhola dearly and probably never even dreamed of having a grandchild therefore the fact that Noori’s happiness right now comes before everything else makes perfect sense.
After Fehmida shared her final decision with Nusrat his reaction was actually quite interesting since he felt cheated. Actually he was furious that he was no longer in control but he played the victim. Nusrat should definitely be punished for his wrongdoings in the end.
Overall Impression
Tonight’s episode of Ranjha Ranjha Kardi belonged to Noori, Bhola and Fehmida who after a long time looked like a complete family. This fight isn’t over yet, all the secrets are not out even now, Nusrat and Sahir are more desperate than ever but it looks like Noori’s will and determination is going to be the game changer. The preview of the next episode showed that Sahir is not going to back out this easily. Will Noori tell Nusrat everything she knows about his background? Looking forward to an ending which will make this enjoyable ride even more worthwhile. I would love to see Noori teaching children like her or running a school owned by Fehmida, her and Bhola for underprivileged children.

Aamir Liaquat Taunting His 1st Wife Infront of 2nd Wife Tuba
Aamir Liaquat got married a second time and the news not only shocked the world, but it also caused a lot of chaos in his family with his daughter even posting about the issues publicly on Twitter. His first wife Syeda Bushra Aamir was not on board with the decision and his first family ha been estranged of sorts since then.
His first wife is also hosting Ramdan transmission this year on Hum TV and PTV. While he is also hosting alongside his eond wife Syeda Tuba Aamir. Suno Chanda Season 2 Episode 1 – 10 Story Review
There were huge expectations from this sequel of Suno Chanda especially from the leading pair and some of the characters which completely stole the show in the prequel. The writer kept the essence of the original characters alive in this prequel (perhaps a little too much especially in the first few weeks) while adding some new characters in an attempt to offer variety and newness. Some of the original characters as a result haven’t been getting the screen time they were getting before. Naeema is one such character whose screen time has been cut down in this prequel. Shahana has been getting plenty of screen time for all the right reasons since she was the best thing about the prequel. Out of all the new characters Pari is the most entertaining one. Arjumand Rahim and Nadia Afgan never fail to impress. They make the most of their dialogues and situations and never go overboard. Mithu is cute and likable. Raza Talish’s debut is impressive since he plays his role convincingly throughout.
Suno Chanda is a visual treat because the overall setting, makeovers and camerawork is always on point. It gives you plenty to laugh about due to the witty dialogues more than the situations. There are however continuity issues and Farhan Saeed’s Johnny Bravo hairstyle makes him look older at times. The tharkpan of most of the characters (male & female) is off-putting even when you watch this play with the mindset that it is nothing more than mindless entertainment. With the recent episode, the story finally shifted to another direction which is definitely great because watching Jiya cry all the time was getting annoying. Iqra Aziz and Farhan Saeed own their roles and some of the ‘overacting’ goes well with the theme of this play and the characters they are playing.
The Story, Characters & Performances
After watching these 10 episodes, I can say it with all certainty that Shahana is the only character which always entertains no matter what. Even if her Katta Kholna dialogues are repeated by her multiple times in an episode, they are still enjoyable. Bi Jaan’s sane decisions and grounded personality is sometimes a nice break from all the chaos which is usually the trademark of the house she runs. The rest of the drama sometimes entertains and at other times disappoints especially when there is repetition or too much going on at once.
The first season focused on Jiya and Arsal’s opposite personalities and their attempts to convince the parents to stop their wedding from taking place. At the end of the first season, they ended up getting married after they realized they were meant to be together. This season opened with Jiya getting annoyed with Arsal’s snoring and after that in every single episode they were constantly fighting just like the last season. Basically marriage changed nothing and these two still find it difficult to agree on every little thing. There are times when their fights are entertaining and there are also times when you have a really difficult time relating to their love-hate relationship because the love is hidden somewhere deep under heaps and heaps of issues which show lack of maturity more than anything else. The first 9 episodes covered Jiya wanting to go and study abroad, which was great, but Arsal wouldn’t let her do so. It is good to see them reach a settlement because the constant bickering was not fun to watch and it is good to see them as partners now.
Shahana’s support for Jiya throughout has been the most refreshing change in this new season. Even though Arsal and Jiya are married but they continue to act like children. Iqra Aziz has given this character the right treatment but Jiya’s crying gets to you after a while especially when she starts using it to her advantage…hopefully that will stop now. The characters and scenarios have been written in such a way that sometimes you feel for Arsal and other times you feel for Jiya. Farhan Saeed’s Punjabi side is definitely more entertaining since his accent and dialogue delivery is highly amusing. DJ’s character is pretty much the same. Sami Khan is more confident than ever and is an absolute delight to watch on screen.
Nagina’s character appears to be inspired from Saima Chaudhry’s character but unlike Saima, Nagina is just plain annoying and not funny. Her scenes can easily be skipped since they test your patience and are boring. Fareeha Jabeen’s portrayal leaves a lot to be desired. Maina’s character has just been introduced and so far her dialogues and the way Sabeena farooq has translated it on screen has been superb. Definitely looking forward to this new track involving Mithu and Maina. Anumta Qureshi has a long way to go, hopefully her character will not be getting a lot of screen time. Ali Safina also makes you laugh every time. Arjumand Rahim and Nadia Afgan deserve all the praise for enacting their characters in the best way possible and making the viewers laugh every single time. Their award-worthy performances prove what a huge difference good comic timing and dialogue delivery can make. Nabeel Zuberi’s performance this time around is quite average and Mashal Khan’s dialogue delivery is unimpressive even in this season. Samina Ahmed looks beautiful and carries herself so well, her performance is always faultless.
Overall Impression
There were quite a few episodes in which this show seemed rather over-crowded but overall Suno Chanda 2 so far has provided the kind of entertainment it promised. It stayed true to its theme and the script has been engaging generally. We could surely do without the undue flirtation and few more sane characters like Bi Jaan would have balanced out the craziness of most of the characters in the show. Few of the comic characters however make you laugh and are the reason why I tune into this show every week. It would be great watching some of these characters on the big screen but in a different scenario which does not involve marriages and affairs as the central story.
