Baaji is the upcoming film of Saqib Malik and it has created quite a buzz since it was announced. The film spots a huge star cast consisting of Meera, Amna Ilyas, Mohsin Abbas Haider, Osman Khalid Butt, Nayyar Ejaz and Nisho Begum. The film will mark the comeback of actress Meera on the silver screen. It revolves around life in the showbiz industry and how complicated and dark it can be.

Amna Ilyas and Meera Jee are the faces on the first lok poster and they are looking mesmerizing. Meera Jee is clad in a gold gown while Amna is also shimmering in a black number. The fourth season of PSL is going on in full swing and people are as always loving it. After successfully taking on the war on terror, Pakistanis have come a long way and are now a safer country again. We have seen matches of PSL in Pakistan last season too but this time we will be able to witness 8 matches which will be played in Karachi’s National Stadium.

All the foreign players were willing to come to Pakistan except Shane Watson who is loved by millions in Pakistan too and is a part of one of the best teams of PSL, Quetta Gladiators. Well, the good news for the Gladiators fans is that Shane Watson is coming to Pakistan as the owner of the team Mr. Nadeem Omar has convinced him to come. It is indeed a great day for cricket as all the stars are now coming to Pakistan.

We are hoping for some nail-biting matches ahead and hopefully, the whole PSL will be conducted in Pakistan soon!

The latest patriotic flick to drop by is Sherdil and is another PAF movie after Parwaaz Hai Junoon was a hit last year. The film stars Mikaal Zulfiqar and Armeena Rana Khan in the lead roles and Mikaal is playing a very zealous pilot. The on-going tension between India and Pakistan has proved to be a great time for Sherdil’s release as the real-life PAF Sherdil’s have just proven how professional the Pakistan Airforce is.

The official trailer of the film has dropped and looks like we are in for a full-blown Indo-Pak army drama. The film is directed by Azfar Jaffri who has directed Janan, Parchi and Siyaah before this. Check out the trailer below:

Ali Sethi is one of the most talented singers of Pakistan. He has won many accolades since starting his career and keeps mesmerizing his fans with his new ventures. The great news for the singer is that his hit song “Umran Langiyan” from Coke Studio Season 8 will be featured in a documentary “TheCase Against Adnan Syed” and it will feature on HBO. It is produced by Jemima Khan.

Ali Sethi is joining musicians as Lana Del Rey, Nick Cave, Cat Power and Michael Stipe. The lawyer of Adnan Syed, Rabia Chaudhary used to listen to the song while researching for the case and that is why his song will feature in the documentary. Check out the song below:

The actor sustained some nerve damage but he is doing well as he informed his fans on his Instagram. It will be great to watch Mohib Mirza in a completely different role after Bachana. Huma Adnan has collaborated with the UNHCR and has launched jewellery created by refugee Afghan women. The pieces are ethnic and chunked and looked awesome. Wajahat Rauf started with the films when he directed Karachi Se Lahore. The film got a good response and later a sequel was also made. After Lahore Se Aagay, there was going to be Karachi Se Lahore 3 but the director didn’t feel it and went for another project.

It has since been announced that the project will have Mehwish Hayat and Zara Noor Abbas as the leading ladies while Azfar Rehman and Asad Siddiqui will play the male leads. The film was being called as Film3 but the untitled now has a name. The film has been titled as Chhalawa and we will also get to see Ashir Wajahat and Mehmood Aslam in the film. Ahmed Ali Akbar and Mansha Pasha are coming to the silver screens with their film Laal Kabootar. Laal Kabootar is an intense looking film filled with mystery and it is going to hit the screens on the 22^nd of March 2019. The film will be released along side another Pakistani flick, Sherdil. Wrong No. 2 is another film which we will see in the cinemas in the year 2019. Yasir Nawaz has directed this one too like he did the first one. Project Gazi has been a film that has been delayed several times now. The film initially had to release in the year 2017. It later was delayed due to technical issues of the film and the delay came just on the night of the premiere. The film finally was announced to get released this year on 22nd March 2019 for the Pakistan Day holiday.

Two more Pakistani films are set to release on 22nd and they are Mansha Pasha and Ahmed Ali Akbar starrer Laal Kabootar and Mikaal Zulfiqar and ArmeenaRana Khan starrer Sherdil. The on-going tension between Pakistan and India has resulted in the banning of Indian content and so to support our cinemas and the industry, the makers have once again delayed the film for one more week and have wished all the best to the other two releases:

“In light of the prevalent situation and in support of Pakistani Cinema we have decided to release Project Ghazi on the 29th of March 2019. We wish Sherdil and Laal Kabootar a successful flight and all the best for the 22nd.” 

Project Ghazi will now release next week on the 29th March 2019!

Due to the on-going tensions between Pakistan and India and after the act of war from India against Pakistan, Pakistan has banned all the Indian content from their films in cinemas to all the Indian advertisements and dramas on the television. Due to this reason, many Pakistani and International films have been coming back to the cinemas.

Different films have been screening in different cinemas. Among these are Ho Mann Jahan, Jawani Phir Nahi Ani 2, The Donkey King, Teefa In Trouble, Parwaaz Hai Junoon, 3 Bahadur: Rise of the Warriors and Azaadi.

This is a good opportunity for fans of the films to go ahead and watch them as this is the second opportunity. However, the Indian content will apparently remain banned since the tension between the country resolves!

The tension between India and Pakistan have been rising since the last few days. Indian media has declared a war against Pakistan and the Indian government has also been busy in jingoism. However, our Prime Minister Imran Khan is trying to deescalate the situation and is the voice of sense and a flag-bearer of peace in this situation.

On 27th February, PAF pilot Hassan Siddiqui shot down two Indian Aircrafts and one of their pilots Abhinandan was also arrested.
