Different things have gone viral on the Internet recently and some of them were the statements from our female celebrities. Sadaf Kanwal came on HSY’s show with Amna Ilyas. She made some insensitive comments on the movement there as she said that “Jabb Me Too Hua Tabb Bol Do”, people were not happy with it since it takes a lot for a lady to disclose something like that especially in a society that is not very accepting. Hira Mani came on Samina Peerzada’s show where she told people how she got together with her husband Mani. She said that she cheated on her then-fiance to be with Mani. And lastly, with the ongoing Ko Ko Korina fiasco, singer Momina Mustehsan decided to reply to HR Minister Shireen Mazari over her expression of dislike for the song. She quoted Uncle Ben from Spider-Man to make her argument strong in front of a federal minister.
Actress Mansha Pasha was not happy with any of this and decided to tweet about it. She quoted all these incidents and asked that women in the industry should learn to speak better. This is her tweet:
Sadaf Kanwal who was indirectly quoted in the tweet was not happy with this and took a jibe at Mansha Pasha as she posted this on her Insta-story:
Sexual Harassment is getting recognized as a problem finally and people are speaking about it. Women all over the world have come out and spoken about all these issues. With great courage, people have named the ones responsible and with that, the Me Too movement started trending. It reached wide and far and people came out with their stories and asked to stop the heinous crime.
Women in Pakistan have also talked about it and some high profile accusations also have come forward. Salman Saqib aka Mani posted a picture on his Instagram and ridiculed the woman who started the movement for her looks. The picture said that she could not be harassed because she does not have those conventional beauty looks. This is what he posted:
People were furious on this insensitive post and started bashing him. People downright rolled over him and also dragged his wife Hira who has recently painted him as her hero in an interview with Samina Peerzada. Here are some comments, people were doing under Mani’s post:
After all the backlash, Mani took to Twitter and revealed that he was not the one who did the post. It was his PR guy as he does not use the social media too much:
Do you remember the 26th of June, 2010? When everyone was wanting to stay glued to the TV screens. It was when year’s biggest drama serial was telecast. Romance in the air, political tensions rising, women clad in colorful traditional Shalwar Kameez, Men in sherwanis & kolhapuri chapals made it a treat to watch indee. Yes, I’m sure, by now you have guessed that I am talking about Daastan. A brilliant piece of work & a great novel by Razia butt executed beautifully into a memorable tv drama. It took us back to the 1940s. A treat to watch ineed but do you remember any period drama after that? Well, No. Because there has been none. It is not an easy job to make a period drama. It takes guts to invest in the genre. But here is the good news you already are familiar with that none other than Hum Tv is again bringing a magnum opus of sorts to your TV screens. Yes, I am talking about Aangan. Now that it is taking forever to launch, we thought to make your wait worth it. Let’s get into the details of the show.
It is based on the famous novel of the same name written by Khadija Masroor. The screenplay has been penned by Mustafa Afridi of Sang e Mar Mar fame. It is to be directed by Udaari’s Mohammad Ehteshamuddin & will be produced by Momina Duraid. Well, there isn’t just one thing that makes it a much awaited show. Infact, there are lots. Its huge cast includes several senior actors to the superstars which include Sajal Aly, Ahad Raza Mir, Ahsan Khan, Sonya Hussayn, Mawara Hocane, Hira Mani. Now that is seriously going to be something. I wonder if any powerhouse of talent is left to be part of the show. Another USP of the drama is Ahad-Sajal’s much awaited reunion. Sajal is going to be paired opposite Ahad & there are many twists yet to be revealed as all of the principle characters play a significant role. Previously, the drama was to be telecast in October but as of now there are no details of it arriving anytime soon. And we totally understand as it is not an easy task to make an epic.Till then, we can do with the pictures being shared by the cast members which only make us more excited.
So, everyone knows, Mahira Khan has achieved global recognition because of her debut with Shahrukh Khan in Raees. It is also true that the dream debut did not turn out as expected due to the rising tensions back then between the borders of the two countries. Yet, the opportunity made a superstar out of Mahira Khan. Be it her appearance at the Cannes or being every film production’s dream heroine then what made Mahira suffer eventually because of Shahrukh Khan? Well, relax.
There is nothing as dire as it sounds to be.Recently, Shahrukh Khan tweeted thanking his fans for loving Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge since it came out. The film completes 23 years, today. Well, not only this but the film also holds the exclusive record of having run for 1200 weeks at the box office. While, we were just gushing over his tweet & his love for the fans, the Zalima made her entry making the moment special altogether. Mahira RTd SRK’s tweet that it has been a great suffering for having loved the film for 23 years.
Well, Mahira, we share your sentiments and love for the film for we hold great memories of watching our favorite superstar wooing an equally favorite heroine. Meanwhile, we wish we get to see SRK romancing our very own superstar Mahira someday.
Ever since Ko Ko Korina’s rendition by Ahad Raza Mir and Momina Mustehsan has gone on air people have criticized it to the limit. Now that both the artists have shared their views about it and they have also requested the people to stop being so unkind with the criticism, more celebrities are coming forward to support them. Everyone obviously thought that this criticism will die down in a day or two but it seems to be getting worse with every passing day.
Nadia Hussain in a video message shared her thoughts about the issue and particularly about the way people were criticizing the song. She said that people who are criticizing the song call it constructive criticism but she thought it was just hate. She also said that people have never ever even criticized the Pakistani team so much after losing a match, the way they are after Momina and Ahad for singing the song.
She also reminded these critics that Ahad and Momina did not do the composition and the changes, that was the producer’s doing. Nadia also shared her opinion about the rendition. She said that she personally really liked how Ahad sang it and Momina did well too. Lastly, she asked people to stop the hate.
No animated movie in the history of Pakistan has been as anticipated as The Donkey King. The hype was increased by the excellent marketing campaign of the Geo TV network, giving in to the which, we decided to give it a go and are really glad that we did. Here’s a short review for those who are still contemplating the idea of watching it.
Casting (5/5)
We have some of the best (not to mention underrated) actors in the subcontinent. Credit goes to the casting director to sift through these gems and match the best suitable actors to their animated counterparts. Hina Dilpazeer as the cunning fox named Ms. Fitna (and a few minor roles), Afzal Khan as the simpleton but ambitious Mangu, Ghulam Mohiuddin as the deep-voiced Badshah Khan, Adil Hashmi as the burger prince Shehzada Khan, Ismail Taara as the not-so-lenient mentor Pehelawan Chacha and the veteran actor Irfan Khoosat as Jamhoora, all excel in their respective roles. They even made use of Maani’s slight lisp for the chameleon Rangeela. For me, the unsung hero was Shafaat Ali who provided occasional Easter-egg parodies throughout the movie adding a layer of delight to it.
Storyline (4/5)
The story is somewhat simple, a coming-of-age story of a looked-down upon creature (that’s right, a donkey) of the fictional Azaad Nagar when fate makes him the king of all. Hardly believing his luck, he bathes in the glory, forgetting the responsibilities coming with the throne and becomes an easy prey for the cunning fox’s treachery. The story starts at a fast-pace but somewhat drags in the middle. The climax, though, makes up for the lost charm.
Relevance to the Current Affairs (5/5)
I wish I could give six out of five in this category. The movie came at a time when the country had just gone through general elections and was on the verge of nation-wide by-elections. The relevance to the current affairs is undeniable. Whatever the producers say, there is an uncanny resemblance of the characters to the current (ahem) scenario. Although, we were happy to find that they have tried to make a neutral ground for all the key players (except perhaps the fox and the Ring Master, hmm…. wonder who could that be…). Anyways, whichever political party you may support, you will find the representing character(s) justified in their actions and good in their intentions.
Humor
The movie is absolutely hilarious. And what’s more, it somehow manages to appeal to children and adults alike. Some of the one-liners and puns come out of nowhere to crack you up. Of all the characters, I found Mangu and Shehzada to be the funniest. The occasional appearance of the side-character Panoti the zebra was hilarious too (keep working in other movies Panoti!). The satire is there for those reading between the lines and the jokes would make the children root for their beloved characters.
CGI (4/5)
The best animation we had seen so far from a Pakistani Studio was of Allahyaar and the Legend of Markhor. I would say that the Donkey King is a tad bit behind it in terms of CGI but it is definitely a great attempt on its own. When the movie was announce, people started comparing Mangu with donkey of the Shrek series but Mangu has his own separate personality and features (which is lovable, gullible and hilarious at the same time). The lip-syncing of the characters in particular was amazing. The best character in terms of presentation was The Ring Master. He was frightening and mysterious even to an adult like me.
Music (4.5/5)
The movie has four tracks, two of which are absolute hits. Inky Pinky Ponky and Donkey Raja are melodious and catchy. The proof is the millions of views attained by these two tracks. One can go as far as to compare Inky Pinky Ponky to Coco’s Poco Loco song in terms of cuteness, humor and delight (and that is saying something).
Overall Impression (4.5/5)
All in all, the movie is pure, clean, family entertainment. It is a mark of this that we went on a weekday afternoon to watch it, still the house was full. The movie also gives a message that a true ruler is the one who is chosen by the people and who knows how to assign duties to his people based on their strengths and weaknesses. There are some stories circulating around The Donkey King that it is a conspiracy venture to brain-wash the kids against the current premier, but I would still recommended that you should go and watch it for your own. It would definitely surprise you in many terms and you would leave the cinema house as happy and entertained as we were.
Ohkay so, this episode of Dil Mom Ka Diya was pretty depressing & real. It showed how those who cause so much pain to others are immune to that feeling that they don’t even feel a thing or two themselves. It is interesting how the writer has kept the characters true to themselves & everyone is doing what is in line with their nature.
Afzal Finally Reacted:
Ulfat got rid of the baby & that acted like a last nail in the coffin because Afzal just could not bring himself to forgive for such a heinous crime committed by his wife. Ulfat has really tested Afzal’s patience over the years but now there was a limit which she pushed & Afzal reacted, he had to react. Ulfat actually thought that she could get away with this too but she had no idea that Afzal will take a stand. Afzal is done being taken for granted & that is why he drew a line. Even after Afzal sent Ulfat away, he thought about her because he genuinely loves her but then Ulfat just doesn’t understand.
Molvi Sahab passed away after having a heart attack but unfortunately, Ulfat didn’t take the blame for pushing her father to that limit rather she held Afzal accountable for everything that happened. Ulfat is just so self-absorbed to even think that she can be wrong, that she is the only person wrong in every single situation. Tamkinat was there to support her Chachi & Farhat every step of the way but then even that was something which Ulfat felt was an act put up by Tamkinat. Unfortunately, the drama that Ulfat created at her father’s funeral ended up taking a toll on Farhat’s relationship as well because it was too obvious that her mother in law was upset at what she heard & was not in a mood to pursue this relation any further.
This entire scenerio also affected Kausar’s personal life because her husband was upset with her absence from his home too. The writer quite realistically showed how a spat in one family unit affects everyone directly or indirectly. I found Ulfat’s mother irrational too when she once again cried buckets sympathizing with Ulfat, I mean c’mon being a mother is one thing but she has seen Ulfat’s track record so it was unwise of her to assume that Afzal must have done something wrong!
Closing Thoughts – Powerful Performances:
Anyways, this episode of Dil Mom Ka Diya was mostly dedicated to Molvi Sahab & his departure from the world but then it also ended on Ulfat demanding divorce from Afzal. I am sure Afzal will find a way but won’t leave Ulfat as he can see how everyone else is suffering because of her absence in their children’s life. Neelam Munir has done a wonderful job as Ulfat, I don’t think anyone else could have played this twisted character to such a perfection. Yasir Nawaz really makes me feel for Afzal, he has nailed this character too. I like how despite showing that Ulfat – a negative character has an upper-hand, the writer has balanced it out with a positive & very strong character of Afzal because usually the negative characters rule & the others only get oppressed (recent example Balaa) but in Dil Mom Ka Diya things are different & realistic because even though Afzal is forgiving & is on the good side, he has a very strong presence & character too. Tamkinat is another character played beautifully by Hira Mani who balances out Ulfat’s negativity. I like how the writer has shown Tamkinat to be polite & courteous but she always makes sure to respond to Ulfat’s gibberish in a civil manner. This I feel is the strength of this drama where the writer has shown the good side to be equally strong & dominating too. Please share your thoughts about this episode of Dil Mom Ka Diya.

Khalil ur Rehman Qamar’s name attached to a product means quality. He has given hits after hits with his pen. With dramas like Sadqay Tumharay, Pyare Afzal, Mera Naam Yousuf Hai and films like Punjab Nahin Jaongi, people watch anything coming from him, thanks to his unique writing of script and dialogues. He is working right now on a new film titled Kaaf Kangana. The film stars Sami Khan, Saba Hameed, Ayesha Omar and Eshaal Fayyaz.
The first lead chosen for the role was Sohai Ali Abro. She was later replaced by Urwa Hocane. Urwa according to Khalil ur Rehman Qamar was begging for the role. So he cut of Sohai and cast Urwa. He is also very fond of Farhan Saeed and had to cast her because of him. The interview is quite blunt as he said that working with Urwa was a dreadful experience which forced him to go on meds. He finally replaced Urwa with Eshaal Fayyaz. This is what he said in an interview with epk:
Urwa has still not responded to anything said in the interview and Sohai has not responded either. What are your thoughts on Khalil ur Rehman Qamar’s statement? Share in comments!
Meera Jee is known for her unique point of views and demands. The actress has indulged in several legal battles in the past. She has also been ridiculed for her lack of command on the English language. Meera is back in the news as the cheques she paid her lawyer were bounced. Meera had no money in those accounts. Meera Jee is always part of the news one way or the other and we wish everything about her new case gets dissolved soon!
Ko Ko Korina has done which could not be done by the 22 crore people of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Yes, the opposition and the government are finally united. Yesterday, a huge drama broke out when Shireen Mazari, Minister for Human Rights called the attempt of remaking Ko Ko Korina horrendous. The singer Momina Mustehsan did not hold back and came forward to defend the song.
The situation got interesting when people were agreeing with Shireen Mazari left and right. We are all familiar with the relationship among Pakistan Tahreek e Insaaf and Pakistan People’s Party. With the former being in the government and the later on the opposition benches, they are never seen agreeing on any point. But Ko Ko Korina finally made it happen when Senator Sherry Rehman from PPP came forward with the same opinion as Shireen Mazari from PTI. She called the Coke Studio’s version flat and shared that she likes the Leo Twins version. Here is the Senator’s tweet:
Ko Ko Korina thus has established that Daagh To Achay Hote Hain and how sometimes small things can bring people together. Do you agree with the politicians or the singers on this? Share your thoughts in the comments section below!
Ahad Raza Mir took his time sharing his views about the Ko Ko Korina song which has turned into somewhat of a controversy! The fans and celebrities alike are sharing their opinion more aggressively than they ever have.
Ahad Raza Mir started with saying that he was going to talk about Ko Ko Korina and that tweet was followed by many other. He thanked people for their criticism as well as praise but at the same time requested them to share the criticism in a kind manner. He also acknowledged that it hurts when people criticize without being considerate. Ahad also thanked HSY especially who gave his two cents about the song and appreciated the effort.
Ahad Raza Mir also said that he felt that Shireen Mazari’s choice of words was not accurate and she should have been more responsible. Ahad spoke late about the controversy but he had a great deal to say.
Reactions to these tweets were a lot like the ones which are already being seen on social media. People were not very kind even now and some people said that Ahad was trying to get sympathy vote. Most people don’t want to see Ahad singing again and that’s it!
Ohkay so, this episode of Balaa was decent. It is pretty obvious that the story of Balaa is nothing new, it is based on an evil character Nigar. Balaa shows how far Nigar can go & wherever she goes, she only brings destruction, be it her own home & now the home of her husband. Top notch acting & skilful direction makes Balaa a decent watch but more than that I hope to see someone standing upto Nigar & her evilness!
Nigar Is Winning A One-Way Battle:
Taimoor has started to see things through Nigar’s perspective. Though Taimoor is not fully convinced but it won’t be too long before that happens because firstly Shama is not behaving the way she should & secondly, Nigar is constantly brain-feeding to make him see what she wants him to. Slowly & steadily, Taimoor has started to react on things that he wouldn’t have before his marriage that is only because Nigar makes sure that nothing goes unnoticed in front of Taimoor. Taimoor trusts Batool but only because he was pushed & pressurized by Zafar, he reacted.
Batool’s character is definitely nice, like she started thinking about what Taimoor expects from her & how she should not do anything to shatter it. Batool likes the guy who happens to be Shama’s doctor but oh well, Nigar had to find out about it as well. It is too obvious that Nigar is now going to invest her energies on ruining Batool & Doctor’s relationship so that she gets married to her hopeless pathetic brother Junaid. The way Nigar got involved in this entire matter once again showed that she now found herself a new adventure that she was ready to take on.
Nigar is slowly & steadily drifting Taimoor apart from his mother & sisters but it is unfortunate that none of them is doing anything to stop her. Shama can see what Nigar is doing & so does Batool but they are too forgiving I feel or are just ignoring things for the peace which Nigar is bent on ruining. Nothing can be expected from Saleha because she is too sweet & simple but at least Batool should speak up. Shama should make up her mind, either she wants to side with Nigar & ruin everything or she needs to take charge of the situation. Yes, Shama is simple & doesn’t posses such a nature to create issues but she has seen how Nigar is disturbing their lives that too with the support of Zafar, so Shama should really buckle up & do something about it.
Nigar is evil, so much so that she even held her father accountable & told him off for supporting her brother Junaid. I guess this is enough to see the kind of a person Nigar is because when she can not even stand her brother, then no wonder she is causing so much pain to Taimoor’s family. For a second I did feel good when Shama ignored Nigar even when she constantly spoke about taking the charge of household expenses but then Shama lost control & let Nigar rule her again.
After Nigar left, it was too obvious that Taimoor was missing her & then he got the time to analyse the situation & unfortunately, he deemed Nigar right & felt that Shama was wrong. Oh well, the troubles for Taimoor are far from being over because now he has started to trust Nigar more than he should & she deserves.
Closing Thoughts – Looking Forward To More:
Overall, these two episodes were definitely better than the last few episodes but I wish they do not prolong Nigar’s mind games & her winning for too long. I don’t know why but I have a feeling Zafar’s servant has an important role to play in the future, I hope there is something more to that character. Let’s see. Please share your thoughts about this episode of Balaa.

Coke Studio’s rendition of the classic song Ko Ko Korina got more hate than any other remake so far. It was sung by Momina and Ahad which is why apart from the producers they are being criticized from every corner for ruining a classic. Even Waheed Murad’s son criticized the song. Ko Ko Korina was produced by Waheed Murad and the old classic was picturized on him too.
There are some celebrities who have supported Coke Studio, HSY is one of them and now Sajal Ali has expressed her views in a more fierce tone. Although what Sajal said is more of a request but the way she said it shows that she is sick and tired of people obsessing with this remake.
Sajal and Ahad are good friends, that is a known fact so watching Sajal come to her friend’s rescue does not come as a surprise at all. This is what Sajal posted on her instagram page:
Sajal got different responses, most common of which was that people were merely sharing their opinions and calling it hate would be wrong. While Momina had a full argument with Shireen Mazari and so many others on twitter, Ahad took to twitter much later to share his thoughts.
Sajal Ali had more to say after people did not stop criticizing.
Nida Yasir invited an eye specialist Dr. Harris Shehzad to her show and asked questions which were very helpful for those people who wear lenses. The expert at the show shared that there was nothing wrong with using lenses regularly. He said that lenses can be used for up to 10 hours daily provided that the people using the lenses take proper care that they are being used properly. He shared some tips which are easy to follow and can prevent eye infections and other problems.
Dr. Harris said that the best option was to use disposable lenses, the ones which can be used daily and discarded. If this was not possible then the person using the lenses should ensure that they are used for only as long as it is prescribed to use them. Over using the lenses after their due period is one of the main reasons people get eye infections. He also said that the minute a lens starts irritating, it should be changed whether or not the time period has passed.
He also shared an incident in which a female patient slept with her lenses on and as a result she got such a bad infection that she could completely lose her sight.

She also shared what she had gone through in 11 years and why she stayed in this marriage.

The strength of a mother is what finally shows up in her children and all the stands we always have seen Amina take and whatever she is today is because of her very strong mother and Amna made sure to tell her about it.
People are unhappy with the latest rendition of Ko Ko Korina by Momina Mustehsan and Ahad Raza Mir. They are expressing their opinions about the song all over the social media. Many celebrities also came out with their opinions on the song. Among these was our Human Rights Minister, Shireen Mazari. She was disappointed with the remake and called the attempt a massacre of the original classic. This is what she tweeted:
People agreed with the honourable minister as they were all saying the same thing. The female vocalist for Ko Ko Korina, Momina Mustehsan however, did not like the criticism and replied back to Shireen Mazari:
Shireen Mazar was not okay with Momina dragging her ministry into this:
Momina also fought back and gave her opinion on this:
Shireen Mazari still not hold back and said it again that she just does not like the song:
And even posted a version that she did like:
Ko Ko Korina has definitely become a hit as far as causing debates is concerned. Who do you think should have held back among the two ladies? Momina as she was already getting criticism and Shireen Mazari said nothing new or the honourable minister as she is a very senior politician? Share in comments!

There was a time when it was difficult to get noticed and being part of a television show was not an easy feat. Now thanks to social media and the electronic media’s desperation for ratings, things have changed drastically. Anything that catches people’s attention gets viral and when something gets viral the electronic media in particular immediately tries to cash it!
Justin Bibis and the chai wala are some recent examples of people who got cheap fame which of course was short lived. Justin Bibis got famous because they could sing Justin Beiber’s song even though they came from a poor family and had never gone to school. Their “mimicking” skills were perhaps more impressive than their singing skills but they got plenty of attention from the media solely because they caught the attention of the general public. The chai wala Arshad Khan’s green eyes were noticed by one and all. People were surprised that a chai wala could be so good looking and that is when he got noticed by the media. Now, a video of a cute Pathan kid went viral where he was seen fighting to get his bag back. The way he spoke and fought for his bag was loved by people and this video went viral. It was his innocence which was loved by everybody. Because this video got so much attention, the people who made the first video made another one and today Nida Yasir invited this kid named Ahmed to her show.
While it was alright for Nida to call a kid everyone loved to the show but forcing him to show his anger on the show, instigating him to be ill-mannered and glorifying it was absolutely wrong. She also asked other children to mimic him so that they too would know how to “express” their anger in the right way!
People are not happy with Nida Yasir for dedicating a whole show to reenacting the video clip that went viral. Even people who liked the video which initially went viral did not like the way Ahmed got attention on the show because he was forced to be angry and ill-mannered. Ahmed was acting in a cute way and communicating like any other kid his age when he came to the show but then Nida made him feel like she was going to take something he liked so that he would react in angrily. The kid obviously figured out that his anger was being liked and that is what he was expected to do here.
Here is a video in which Nida Yasir is asking the boy to react angrily even though he seems to be quite capable of being equally cute while communicating in a normal way.
Coke Studio is known for making remakes. They have given us classics in the past, Tajdar e Haram being an example where Atif Aslam did complete justice to the original piece. This year Coke Studio did not come out with any major hit and was at an all time low. They ended the season with the surprise they were keeping in the closet, Ahad Raza Mir’s performance. To explain in easier words, people did get surprised but not in a good way.
Ahad Raza Mir and Momina Mustehsan reprised the classic Ko Ko Korina and it was “strange” to say the least. People were expressing disappointment and finally, celebrities are also expressing their feelings about it. The Minister for Human Right Shireen Mazari took to Twitter and showed her disappointment over the remake. She considered the remake a massacre:
The star himself, Zoheb Hassan also cannot understand what is going on with the Coke Studio and wants a complete shuffle of the production team:
The face of Ko Ko Korina is Waheed Murad and looking at the new version, his son Adil Murad also shared his opinion:
Do you agree with these celebrities and think that Coke Studio needs a makeover or not?
Ohkay so, these two episodes of Lashkara were good. Just when I was getting restless & losing my patience, the ticker of 2nd last episode motivated me to tune to Lashkara because for the last few weeks I was having a hard time watching it because neither the story was moving forward nor things were being wrapped but finally, this drama is ending, which is good!
Culprits Found:
Bubbly finally met someone who tried to put things into perspective. It sure is commendable how the writer has shown different stages of emotions that one goes through when they are faced with such a test. Bubbly lost her will to live but then, utmost attention & care brought her out of the extreme depression she was faced with. It is important to note that constant love, care & attention is what one needs to come out of any phase of life & Bubbly was lucky to have so many people around her telling her that nothing has changed in her or about her. Bubbly always had someone who would listen to her & that also played a major part in her recovery.
I liked how in the latest episode of Lashkara it was suggested that Bubbly’s Taya Jee saw a spark, a skill in her that he made sure she channelled out. Bubbly was feeling clueless all this while, even after she visited other acid attack victims, she still was demotivated but it was her Taya who saw what Bubbly could potentially be because she was good with fabrics, aesthetics & designing. She had it in her.
Well, Sunny finally found out who the culprit was. Sunny got to know that it was Iqbal who did all of that. Indeed, the writer has highlighted the harsh reality where the same men who pose to be the flag bearer of dignity when it comes to their sisters, wouldn’t mind going to another exteme to earn a few bucks that too from the extended family of their sisters. Iqbal turned out to one such loser who couldn’t find a better way to earn money but then, he was not alone, Akram & Nikki were the main culprits & Iqbal ended up becoming their pawn. Bubbly had a lot of enemies & unfortunately, she couldn’t do anything about it.
Feeka did exactly what he could, obviously after being shattered & broken, after getting to know that everyone was involved in doing this to Bubbly he just didn’t have a better way of punishing them all by punishing himself. I am glad that he took Nasreen’s name & held her accountable as well for everything that happened because if Nasreen had kept things under control, especially Nikki, this wouldn’t have happened.
Closing Thoughts – Perfect Suspense:
Overall, these two episodes of Lashkara were good but I am actually glad that it is ending next week. The note at which this episode ended was quite interesting. I am actually looking forward to know what will happen to Feeka, the suspense has veen built nicely. Let’s see. Please share your thoughts about this episode of Lashakra.

Ohkay so, this episode of Khud Parast was again interesting. Even though people might not agree with what is being shown but the writer has shown the reality in a convincing manner where at times people let their greed get the better of them & they end up taking wrong decisions.
All That Gitters Is Not Gold:
Uswa was sure that she didn’t want to get married just for the sake of it but her sister Maria & mother were on her case. To be honest, I was surprised to hear all the things that Maria said to Uswa because she looked like a narrow minded & backward woman in a modern packaging. Maria tried to entice Uswa by making her think about all the things that a girl dreams of & that was the first time when Uswa actually was forced to think about Hanan’s proposal.
On the other hand, Hanan’s mother is full of contradictions. I wish the writer had kept her a bit positive but it is too obvious that she is going to show religious people in a negative light – which again is a reality but it has become too easy & common for the writers to show that religious people are usually hypocrites. I wish we get to see more such dramas like Shanakht where such a bad image of practicing Muslims isn’t painted.
Anyways, Hanan’s mother is a graceful example of hypocrisy where she has a decent list of do’s & don’ts for her daughters in law but thinks her son has all the right to have extra marital affairs & even if he is having one, it is not his fault but the fault of his wife for not having enough attraction to prevent him from doing all of that. Bakhtawar was clear in her approach & let Uswa’s family know what she expects from her but then again, Uswa’s mother wasn’t thinking about anything else apart from Uswa’s luxury laden future.
Adeel has fallen for Uswa but then again, his intentions are still suspicious. I have a feeling that he might cause trouble for Uswa after her marriage because he is that kind of a guy. I thought Adeel’s ex might come in contact with Uswa to let her know what sort of a person Adeel is but Uswa chose to ignore him even without knowing much about him because her family convinced her to say yes to Hanan’s proposal.
Uswa’s mother tried to show her the brighter side while still giving her tips based on her experience & reality that indeed in the beginning mother in law has the control but eventually the daughters in law take over with their dedication, some compromises & sacrifices. That conversation was specifically the one that was nicely worded but apart from that, I was shocked to hear the way Uswa’s mother & the rest of the ladies were selling the idea of wealthy status to her & what shocked me even more was the fact that Uswa gave in & settled for everything even when she didn’t agree with the entire idea of the restrictions that were imposed on her. Oh well, she wasn’t all unique & different that she claimed to be, in the end Uswa also settled for a short cut & deemed getting married to a rich guy the right & the only option.
Even though everything that has been shown so far in Khud Parast is interesting & realistic but I still find it a bit unconvincing that Bakhtawar didn’t get a background check done on Uswa. Also, it is unfortunate that Uswa’s mother thinks Uswa will gel well in that family whereas being her mother, she should have judged the situation better about Uswa & Hanan’s future together. Uswa’s mother is doing the right thing in her opinion but she will later find out that wealth is not everything!
Closing Thoughts – Decent Execution:
Overall, this episode of Khud Parast was again interesting. I like how the director has kept things simple & straight forward. Oh yes, can someone tell me what is the name of Hanan’s sister in law, like we’re through 3rd episode & she is still gumnaan? Khud Parast can definitely be watched as a good time pass drama because the overall execution is really good & so is the acting & characters. Please share your thoughts about this epispde of Khud Parast.
