Danish’s two Pakistani feature films are set to release this year, titled ‘Mehrunnisa We Lub You’ and ‘Tum Hi To Ho’. Danish is also currently working in another movie titled ‘Wujood’.
Danish Taimoor is one of the biggest stars in Pakistan. A self-made actor, Danish Taimoor has defied many odds to reach the heights that he is at now within the last few years. He has worked in different types of dramas and performed diverse characters with many that went on to create viewership history. Danish Taimoor is married to superstar Ayeza Khan and together they are the true definition of a power couple. He is a father to two kids and he is making and breaking records everyday.
Debut In Dramas
Danish Taimoor made his television debut in the year 2005 in a series titled Mystery Series that aired on Indus Vison. Many of today’s superstars got their breakthrough Indus Vision and Danish Taimoor is one of them as he started acting at the age of just 22. He has come a long way since then and works with the biggest productions now.
Marriage To Ayeza Khan
Danish Taimoor and Ayeza Khan met through work and fell in love. They broke up once in the middle but the break was short-lived and they got back together again. The couple got married in the year 2014 and their wedding was widely covered by media and social media. The beautiful events and the love they held for each other was visible throughout the wedding. Ayeza Khan is a superstar herself and the couple is parents to two beautiful kids. The star status they both possess as a couple also pushed forward their careers as their fans love to see them flourish.
Self-Made Status
Being born in privilege is not someone’s fault but with the passage of time, people have started resenting those who get a better chance at starting a career just on the basis of where they were born. Many times such stars slack as they know they will keep getting opportunities and the ones who come through nepotism but still work hard are still scrutinized because they never had to struggle as much as a star who came from outside the industry. Danish Taimoor is one such self-made actor.
Danish has reinvented himself in different phases of his career and he has been able to remain relatable and a star people look forward to. The fact that the star has survived in the industry on his own increases his fan following and audience’s love and respect for him .
Good Looks
Danish Taimoor’s looks also play an important role in the fan following he has. He has the quintessential hero look that our industry demands. His fair complexion combined with the perfectly coiffed here and perfectly trimmed beard is something every producer wants in their hero and Danish Taimoor has that look. He also takes care of his fitness and therefore completes the requirement of a Pakistani drama hero starter pack.
Ab Dekh Khuda Kya Karta Hai-The Turning Point
In the year 2018, Danish Taimoor starred in Ab Dekh Khuda Kya Karta where he played a negative character Jaan e Alam. Danish was the chocolate boy before this. The drama was a massive hit and drama makers found their angry young man who had the ability to attract the audience with his presence. With Jan e Alam, Danish Taimoor wisely reinvented himself and it proved to be a great idea.
Deewangi-Beginning Of A New Era
The very next year, Danish Taimoor signed Deewangi. Sultan Durrani became the biggest hit of his career and Danish showed the world what he is made of. He became the young, suave hero who takes what he likes and with his looks and style managed to get love from the audience. With Deewangi, Danish started a string of similar characters that fell in love with the heroine at first sight and then did everything in their power to get her. He has since done similar characters in dramas like Ishq Hai, Kaisi Teri Khudgarzi, Rah e Junoon and now on-air Jaan Nisar and Teri Chhaon Main also have similar traits. The angry young man Danish Taimoor is a big fan favourite and it works every time whether you call it repetitive or non-creative.
The Art Of Wooing
Danish Taimoor knows how to woo the audience. Yes, every time a trailer of his drama comes out, we get to hear the same thing about why he is doing similar roles and why he is not reinventing. The fact is Danish reinvented himself from the chocolate boy into the suave grey-shaded hero-esque figure in 2018-2019 and the formula is a hit for him. Add to that his acting ability as he knows he can act and he has an eye for scripts that will work with the masses. Danish Taimoor is not trying to prove himself anymore with the roles he takes on as he started working two decades ago and he has done that already. The star is wooing fans and successfully does that with each new project whether we like it or not.
A Very Private Person
Danish is a very private person. The star never gives any interviews, however big his projects are. His social media is all about his work and we all know only on the surface level who his family is. He as a person remains disconnected from the audience which allows his fans to take his characters as his reality and connect to the characters even more. This has helped with how his dramas are all hits barring if he kept his life so private intentionally or unintentionally.
The Ultimate King Of Viewership
You can love or hate him but you cannot ignore him. In a time when Humayun Saeed was making his comeback on television with Gentleman and Sajal Aly was shining in Mustafa Afridi and Saife Hassan’s Zard Patton Ka Bunn, the drama that topped the charts with huge margins and viewership is Danish Taimoor’s Jaan Nisar. His other drama Teri Chhaon Main was able to get over 3 million views in its opening episode despite having a new leading lady and zero promotions. Danish is getting critcized for picking up similar love-obsessed and angry characters but he is the king of viewership is a fact that cannot be denied.
In the end, it is establsihed that with many young and old superstars fighting for that top spot, it is Danish Taimoor who has taken over as king of viewership of Pakistani dramas and he smashed records on all the three channels showing that it is him and not any other factor contributing to the massive amount of rating and views. In my mind, I was the youngest kid in the house who simply obeyed his elder brother’s orders. I got respect when I started earning. Although I started earning with Yasir but I had no idea how much we were making. Meri Zindagi Hai Tu is a new drama which just started airing on ARY Digital. Bilal Abbas Khan and Hania Aamir have teamed up for the show and fans were waiting for it to air as soon as possible. The drama is here and it has received backlash for once again romanticising stalkerish behaviour of a man who just cannot understand the meaning of “NO” and keeps bothering the girl. As the lead pair are big stars, the show is receiving a good number of views while the debate regarding the storyline is also on.
Danish Nawaz, an actor and director, is currently enjoying the success of Sanwal Yaar Piya which he directed. His drama is also a love story but people love the respectful Sanwal. He has something to say subtly about love stories with stalkerish heroes and he did not hold back his thoughts.
Danish Nawaz said that Sanwal is a hero who respects consent. Pakistani people like watchng positive romance. He added that he has seen heroes nowadays who go and sit under the heroine’s house. They do not show any respect to her consent and he wants to know where the fathers of these girls are. The girl keeps dealing with such guys on her own. Where is the father of the girl? This looks unbelievable. He very subtly threw shade at Meri Zindagi Hai Tu which is under discussion or exactly this plot.
Danish Nawaz comes from a showbiz family. His father was a senior actor and later on his brother, himself and his sister in law have been famous names. He was known for his comedy roles in acting and he has featured in many sitcoms. He is also a successful director now and he has given dramas like Chupke Chupke, Dobara, Kashf and now Jafaa. Danish Nawaz said that he has left comedy as he wanted to show the world his mettle. He was just given similar roles and his talent was hidden somewhere in the background. With the dramas he has directed, now the world knows how good an artist he is and his versatility. He said that he is a serious person and now his work shows his true side.
This is what he shared:
Danish Nawaz also spoke about getting stereotyped by the industry. He said that he was never used properly as an actor and he has never really acted. This made him drift away from comedy. He also spoke about how this is a dilemma that follows every actor who works in the comedy genre.
Danish Nawaz is a celebrated Pakistani television and film actor and Director who got immense recognition from his plays ‘Nadaaniyan’ and ‘Extras The Mango People.’ Though he made his entry in Showbiz with acting, yet with time he experimented with his skills and became a Director.

Further Danish revealed his plans for the kind of movie that he wants to direct in the future. Talking about his own love for movies, Danish said that he doesn’t want to make a movie that people will forget about as soon as they walk out of the theater.
“I don’t want to make a film where people just watch, laugh, and come out of it. I want the audience to be able to take something away from the film that stays with them. I want to make a film that moves them, that inspires them to become something”, added Danish.
Danish said that “A movie-watching experience should be like a rollercoaster. You have to be in that disheveled state after walking out of the theater. You have to go home and discuss the film because it left an impact on you. The older films used to have that in them. The films that are made nowadays don’t have that. They are like a 3-hour long moment that breaks the second you walk out of the theater hall.”
Although Danish said the idea of the film is still in the early development stages, he does have the story for it planned. When questioned who he wishes to cast in the film as the hero, Danish replied that Ahad Raza Mir does pop in his head but it is far too early to talk about anything finally

Many people said that Nauman Ejaz’s age is not matched with his character but what we actually need is a best actor. Either we can match his age or his performance with our specific character.”
“We selected Usama for Affan’s character because we saw some similarities between Usama and Nauman Ejaz, on the other hand Maheen totally fits into her character. They actually look like siblings. We selected Bilal for Mahir’s character because we needed a person whose transition could change from the previous one and you’ll see this on your TV screens soon”, added Danish Nawaz.
Danish further said that “We selected Sakina apa for phopho’s character because she was not appearing in many drama serials lately and I wanted to show a different face to the audience. The way Sakina Samo has played her role is worth appreciating. She is portraying a negative character but no one can specifically call her character a negative one.”

Recently, Danish Nawaz appeared on Nadia Khan’s morning show Rise and Shine. On the show, he defended Sanwal Yaar Piya’s sad ending.
Talking about it, Danish Nawaz said, “The love which is easily achievable is not real love. In reality, many true lovers didn’t have a happy ending, like Majnu didn’t have Laila and Ranjha didn’t find Heer. People do suffer in true love in reality. Viewers are thinking that I am the villain of this story. The ending of Sanwal Yaar Piya was just realistic. Also, only Sanwal loved Piya; it was a one-sided love. Piya herself was confused. She thought of Sanwal as a friend, not a lover. People do get so close in friendships.” Watch here:
Sanwal Yaar Piya fans are extremely angry with Danish Nawaz and the writer for defending the ending. Many are saying that they will not watch any drama of Hashim Nadeem, Durefishan Saleem, and Feroze Khan after being betrayed by the makers of Sanwal Yaar Piya. Many said that the drama was popular only because of Sanwal’s character. Read the comments:

There are mediocre actors, there are good actors, there are method actors and then there’s Daniel Day Lewis who is the method himself. When it comes to acting the world rarely gets to experience an actor as amazing as Daniel friggin’ Day so naturally when he announced his retirement earlier this year in June the world was heart broken to say the least.
Daniel is known for keeping his life private and staying away from the limelight, when he is acting he immerses himself completely in the role and that has it’s perils, so the actor followed his intuition and decided to end his career. Daniel will be bidding farewell to Hollywood with Reynolds Woodcock’s biopic set in 1950’s titled “Phantom Thread”.
Set in the glamour of 1950’s post-war London, renowned dressmaker Reynolds Woodcock (Daniel Day-Lewis) and his sister Cyril (Lesley Manville) are at the center of British fashion, dressing royalty, movie stars, heiresses, socialites, debutantes and dames with the distinct style of The House of Woodcock. Women come and go through Woodcock’s life, providing the confirmed bachelor with inspiration and companionship, until he comes across a young, strong-willed woman, Alma (Vicky Krieps), who soon becomes a fixture in his life as his muse and lover. Once controlled and planned, he finds his carefully tailored life disrupted by love. With his latest film, Paul Thomas Anderson paints an illuminating portrait both of an artist on a creative journey, and the women who keep his world running.
Phantom Thread is Daniel’s second collaboration with director Paul Thomas Anderson the first being There Will Be Blood. Anderson also has movies like The Master, Inherent Vice and Magnolia to his credits so all we can expect from these two men is greatness.
As much as we await this movie we also know that we won’t be seeing Daniel on the big screen ever again, talk about being “happy sad”.
