However, when the host took the name of Muneeb Butt, Zahid Ahmed said, “Don’t carry on. Butta is my friend and I want to advise him that its time for a change.”

“He should bring drastic change to his visual and maybe due to that he may get different offers of characters. He appears as a beautiful, chikna and very clean man but he needs to come as maila (unclean and rough) man,” Zahid Ahmed added.

Zahid Ahmed came to Sanam Jung’s morning show Jago Pakistan Jago for promotions of his play Daldal. The show was a bit different than normal morning show fiascos. It was an interview with the actor and Sanam asked him a lot of questions about his personal life. Zahid also gave an insight into his personal life.

Zahid has two sons Zaviyar 3 and Zayaan 1. His wife Amna is a business woman and she runs a facebook store which deals with women bags and similar stuff. Zahid told Sanam that his wife has always been very self-sufficient and does not want to endorse her work in any way as she believes in doing her business on her own.

He also told Sanam that he has started refraining from being too active on social media now as he believes the distance between an actor and his audience should be maintained. Looks like Shaan Sahid’s overexposure statement has got a new follower. Zahid said that Daldal is his first drama which is social issue based and deals with the reality prevailing in the society.

Zahid never remembers his wedding anniversary either and told Sanam that his wife is very understanding and accommodating about his career demands. Muneeb Butt later joined the show and Sanam and Zahid made a lot of fun of his philosophical statements. Zahid also said he has named both of his sons as he wanted his children to have names with letter Z and meanings were his second priority.

One of the most handsome and demanding actors of Pakistan television industry, Zahid Ahmed, has finally decided to make his film debut this year. 

Zahid Ahmed will be sharing the screen with the gorgeously talented and prominent Saba Qamar. Zahid signed his first film, Sorry – The Love Story, but the film is still on hold. Zahid’s quality as an actor is he chooses the character that many will dismiss. The role of Sameer – Sameera in his recent drama Ishq Zah-e-Naseeb is a great example. 

The shooting of the film will start at the end of February in Karachi. “If I were to look at the story and the character on offer with the same lens that I use to judge offers on television, I would have probably said no to this film because this is out and out commercial, comedy entertainer,” Zahid admits. “But the decision to ultimately do this was also because of the same reasons – a good entertainer with a good level of comedy that strays away from slapstick, goofy and crassness. Having a co-star like the amazing Saba Qamar, a good writer, strong director, and a holistically well-known production were some of the other reasons that drew me towards this project. This is me finally putting myself out there, stepping into the arena with a very safe bet.” 

The untitled film project of Zahid Ahmed opposite to Saba Qamar is scheduled to release on Eid-ul-Azha 2020. Let’s wait to see Zahid Ahmed for the first time on the big screen.

His fans also want to see him working in Bollywood. So, is Zahid Ahmed going to work in Bollywood anytime soon? His reply was,

 “Nahin. I will want to do a Pakistani film first. And if I like how it goes, I’ll never leave.”

 Answering another fan on the same question he gave a different reply. He said,

 “They are a hostile nation who have no respect so I don’t give a damn about them or their Industry.”

Another interesting plan which Zahid Ahmed has in store for the future is that he plans to give acting classes soon. Zahid Ahmed’s voice is considered one of his most valuable assets along with his talent. Talking about his voice he said,

“it puts the babies to sleep and keeps the ladies up!!”

“I am not serious at all… In fact my family often has to beg me to be serious.”

“No one asked them to make six packs or whiten their skin… This is silly bollywood mentality… Audience maangti hai performance… Wohi yaad rehti hai..”

 “I looooooove comedy… But I think all my female fans wouldn’t want to see me doing comedy anytime soon… It breaks the charm of an intense actor.”

The drama will be directed by Fruqan T. Siddiqui who has given us some brilliant plays. Talking about this one, he said this drama is about passion, endurance and destiny.

There are a lot of twists and turns in the story especially around the life of Iqra Aziz , who is playing the female protagonist Najaf. She has to shift to Karachi due to problems with the male lead as played by Zahid with the name Ahmed. Once her father passes away and she remains at the mercy of her stepmom, her relationship with Ahmed will take a new turn.

Other main characters are played by Noor Khan, Abid Ali, Ainee Zaidi and Firdous Jamal.  Through these characters, the message of not being able to escape your destined road is made clear.

The drama is planned to air on Urdu 1 after Eid and seems very promising, given its star cast. Iqra Aziz has also started to prove her mettle as an actor with some amazing performances and her chemistry with the very handsome Zahid Ahmed is bound to be super interesting.

The versatile Zahid Ahmed is coming back as Akku on your screens. After starring in a social issue based drama Daldal, Zahid will be seen in a very different avatar. Hania Aamir will be playing the leading lady in the upcoming Visaal. The drama is written by Hashim Nadeem and will be directed by Ali Hassan. Zahid Ahmed talks about working with Khalil-ur-Rehman in the future and he shared how he won’t work with him if Qamar doesn’t change his behaviour.

He said, “I have worked very closely with him in drama serial ‘Zara Yaad Kar’ and ‘Tou Dil Ka Kya Huwa’. We have very close discussions and he is somebody who is very close to me in my profession.”

“I respect and care for him and even the entire country celebrates his talent. Because of this association and closeness with Khalil Sahab, this kind of behaviour cant be accepted by anyone and this is out of control. So you must apologize from that lady and from the entire country that he misbehaved and in anger, he used language which must not be used by anyone. He must say sorry for his behaviour.”

“If Khalil Sahab won’t work on his attitude and he keeps on defending this attitude there will come a point that I and other people from the industry will boycott from him and won’t work with him,” Zahid Ahmed said clearly.

He further added, “This time he has come on national television and made remarks about somebody’s body. I value him and care about him and this is why I am saying that you must apologize so please work on these things. I will not work on his script if he won’t apologize and I will take a stand if he refuses to apologize and continues with this behaviour. Although he is not the last writer of this world.”

The Ishq Zahe Naseeb actor shared his views about Feminism and said, “I don’t think women are lesser than men in any way. I am the child of my mother who was a teacher, fighter and brilliant woman even if she wasn’t, look around you man there are only two genders of human species. How can you propagate an idea which lessens the other in any form?

Zahid Ahmed, one of those actors who vowed audiences in a short span of time and managed to be the charming guy next door is all set to be seen opposite Zhalay Sarhadi in Hum tv’s upcoming project ‘Dil-e-Janam’.

She is also a woman in love and the combination of the two is deadly. I love doing challenging characters which have many shades. Asma is a real woman with true emotions and not just a symbol of evil or good. I was intrigued by the various colors in her personality and that is what drew me to this play”.

Talking about the future of JDC, he said, “It (JDC) is a ‘welfare organization’, it’s not an individual’s effort, it is a registered trust, I am an organization, if you will donate an ambulance, would it be mine or would it be JDC’s belonging, it would surely belong to JDC. This is a trust, an NGO and it will keep on running this way, systems will work in the same direction, charitable procedures won’t stop, someone else will take over the charge but it will go on.

Talking about it he said, “The reason behind youngsters leaving Pakistan is joblessness, what we see or hear is that people living abroad earning way better than Pakistan, they get 18 dollars or 25 dollars per hour for working in petrol pumps or for cleaning bathrooms, they work approximately 10 hours, which is giving them 50 thousand Pakistani rupees per day, in Pakistan, a young person earns 50 thousand per month, also there are no jobs in Pakistan, today, a youngster is disappointed with the system, all he does is he drops cvs, gives interviews for the jobs”. Yunhi was a beautiful drama and it followed the transformation of all the characters within its universe. The leads Kim and daud also went through their own transformations. Daud and his family changed their ways of thinking and also learnt not to judge a book by its cover while Kim went through a whole 180 degree change and her change was sjown subtly with a lot of sensitivity.

In the last episode we saw Kim wearing a Hijab. This was a girl who had a very negative view about Muslims and she was shown as a liberal minded person who liked to dress in Western styles. Maya Ali’s showed the change beautifully throughout and at the end Kim and Daud both brought changes in themselves for the love they had.
