The Legend of Maula Jatt is hands down the most anticipated film to come out of Pakistani cinema since the day it was announced. It boasts of a mega star cast consisting of mostly actors people have been dying to see even individually in a project and now fans will get to see Hamza Ali Abbasi and Humaima Malick back with a dark and edgy bang while their favourites Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan will be creating magic as Maula and Mukho this time. Hamza Ali Abbasi playing Noori Natt is definitely one to look forward to as the film is all set to release.

The film is directed by Waar famed Bilal Lashari who is also Hamza Ali Abbasi’s great friend. Hamza shared in a recent interview that Bilal narrated the story to him and he was all in to play the legendary Noori Natt earlier played and made immortal by Mustafa Qureshi.

Hamza was asked that did he not think of playing Maua as he is the hero and took up Noori. Maula is definitely the protagonist and the film is named after him so was he tempted to take up Maula than Noori.

Hamza said that Noori’s character is not straight laced like Maula and had a lot of margin of performance. Thus Noori is definitely Hamza’s choice.

Main Shahrukh Khan Hoon is an Iris Inc’s short film, Iris Inc is a new YouTube platform which will be releasing new and unique short films for the viewers. The short film Main Shahrukh Khan Hoon features talented Pakistani actor & Singer Mohsin Abbas Haider in the lead role. The short film has been directed by Cheekh famed director Badar Mehmood. It has been produced by Shakil Hussain Khan & Adnnan Soddha. The short film has been written by Hamza Ibne Wasi.

The short film is about an aspiring actor who loves Shahrukh Khan and copies him all the time, the character lost his identity in the love of Shahrukh Khan. The actor ended up being an extra performer who used to do short characters in which he used to copy Shahrukh Khan. The movie starts with the dialogue when actor is doing mimicry of Shahrukh Khan, he, then gets schooled by his conscience on losing his identity for the sake of following his passion and his idol.

The movie only stars Mohsin Abbas Haider as five different characters which include lawyer, policeman & actor. In the end, the aspiring actor successfully regained his own identity by refusing being Shahrukh Khan for a short role as an extra actor. Here is the short film !

Mere Humnasheen is a Geo Television network’s popular drama which had a huge cast and a unique storyline. The cast included Meher Bano, Hiba Bukhari, Shahzad Sheikh, Syed Jibran, Haris Waheed, Normal Khalid and Ahsan Khan. The drama drama has been directed by Ali Faizan and it has been written by Misbah Ali Syed. The storyline featured Pakhtoon culture. Well, the drama got popular because of Ahsan Khan’s epic acting and accent, however, in start the drama got flak on the fake Pashto accent.

Today, the last episode of the drama aired on Geo Television. The episode was loved by the fans because finally Khajista and Hadi met in the drama, fans found the ending of the drama as satisfying after the death of Darakhzai. However, a few fans still believed that Darakhzai should have been alive. They were of the view that the drama is incomplete without Darakhzai. Few fane were sad on the ending of the drama because they wanted Khajista and Darakhzai together. A few fans said that they wanted at least one more episode of Hadi and Khajista.

They loved the drama but many viewers also said that the story of the drama became boring in the end. They were happy for Hadi and Khajista but they were sad for Darakhzai who really loved Khajista and died. They were sad for Aima too, who loved Hadi but could not get her love. Tamasha is an Ary Digital reality show which had been successfully aired on Ary Digital, since last 43 days, the show started with 14 contestants and it was based on Big Brother/Big Boss format. In last week, 6 contestants managed to stay in the house but two were eliminated further during the mid of last week. Maira & Humaira were eliminated by Adnan Siddiqui on indulging in a fight.

The release of Maula Jatt is just around the corner and we will get to watch Fawad Khan back in Pakistani cinemas in a full-fledged role after 15 years. Fawad Khan impressed everyone in Khuda Ke Liye and then worked on television. He went to Bollywood from there and after his return we have been missing him from everywhere. Fawad Khan is the new Maula Jatt, an iconic character previously played by Sultan Rahi and the film is in Punjabi language as it is set in Punjab.

Fawad Khan is a resident of Lahore where he got his education and naturally everyone assumed that he is a Punjabi speaker hailing from the heart of Punjab. But Fawad revealed that he was born in Karachi and then they moved around abroad due to his father’s work and later settled in Lahore. But the actor cannot really speak Punjabi as it was not spoken in his house.

He added that it was the film’s writer Nasir Adeeb who helped him with the correct pronunciations and applying the correct expression to the dialogues. And opposite Fawad was Hamza wo is completely fluent in the language. Fawad had to work a lot on getting the language right too. He said that he has not seen the original Maula Jatt completely as it was difficult for him to understand.

The first fun interview of Fawad Afzal Khan and Hamza Ali Abbasi is here in which they are indulged in very hilarious banters. The interviewer asked from both, “do you guys hold grudges in real like Noori Nath & Maula Jatt hold in film?”. Pakistani dramas are where the stardom has been for the country as our film industry was a disaster for many years. But with the gradual revival we are seeing films getting successful now. Stars from our television majorly shifted to films and some of them are now exclusively doing films. Fahad Mustafa in particular is only doing films while other film stars like Humayun Saeed, Mahira Khan and Mehwish Hayat have done projects for the small screen.

Humaima Malick is considered among the biggest stars of Pakistan. She achieved success both in films and dramas. She was a success with Ishq Junoon Deewangi and later on her film debut as Zainab in Bol. Humaima went and also worked in Bollywood and she was also a newsmaker there. Well, in the last few days of the Tamasha, the house turned into a jungle and all the contestants started fighting and abusing each other, unfortunately, the ladies were the most harsh with fights, the ugly fights also turned the show into a wild circus.

Mere Humsafar is a popular Pakistani drama which aired on Ary Digital and gained a good viewership and success. The drama has been written by Saira Raza. It has been directed by Qasim Ali Mureed and produced by Samina Humayun Saeed and Sana Shahnawaz.

The story of drama revolved around the miserable life of innocent Hala whose father left her at his brothers’ house. Afterwards, Hala was tortured by her elders at home. She was being raised as the step member of the family. Hala got married to Hamza who was her first cousin and her rude aunt’s son as well. Hamza’s mother created differences between Hala & Hamza.

Today, the last episode of the hit drama aired, fans absolutely loved the happy ending of Hala and Hamza after an extremely miserable love life of the couple. Viewers loved the ending of the drama and they were satisfied with the ending of all the girls, however, they wanted to see Sameen and Khurram’s happy ending as well, many viewers loved the character of Hala and Sameen and said that they both were the example of true women of strength and said that they both stood for themselves when it was needed.
