Saba Qamar was previously seen in Lahore se aagey and is a part of an upcoming Indian film ‘Hindi Medium’. Pakistani actors were banned to work in India, post the growing political conflicts between the countries. However, Saba Qamar starer Hindi Medium will possibly release on March 31, 2017.

An Indian website Pinkvilla recently reported that during an interview, When the media asked Irrfan, if Saba is still a part of his film, he didn’t want to get misquoted on the issue and hence joked. He quipped that the actress is now married to an Indian and hence technically is now an Indian.

While the press understood the joke it was somehow made into breaking headlines in Pakistan leaving the actor completely amused. Not just that, but the actor’s joke also landed Saba in some serious trouble. She has been receiving lot of death threats as some people in Pakistan think that she has married an Indian.

According to Pinkvilla a source informed them, “Irrfan joked about the situation so that he doesn’t get misquoted. But he didn’t know that his remark will land Saba in trouble. She has been receiving death threats now and people are actually believing that Saba has married an Indian.”

The actress has now recieved postive response from the critics across the border and has decided to increase charges to act in a drama or a film. According to a report in Dunya News, Saba will now charge a sum of Rs 2.90 lac for each episode of a drama.

“It (Baaghi) is a very interesting story written by Umera Ahmed while it’s being directed by Farooq Rind,” Kazmi told Instep. “I can’t reveal much about the play at the moment except that it will be on air sometime in May.”

Kazmi revealed that Baaghi also stars actor-director Sarmad Sultan Khoosat, who was recently honored with the prestigious Pride of Performance honour.

While Maharashtra Navnirman Sena was threatening Pakistani stars to leave India Saba Qamar was busy shooting for her film in Delhi. Saba has finished the shooting of the film and now is back in Lahore. Saba spent her entire summer shooting Delhi for her debut Bollywood film.

Irrfan who is doing the male lead role along with Saba in teh film said,  “she wasn’t affected by MNS’ hostility towards Pakistan.”

Saba regarding her working experience in India said, “The team made me feel very safe. We often hung out with each other and they made me feel very much at home. There was no unease at all; I was well looked after”.

Regarding her co-star Irrfan Saba said, “I was awestruck by the way Irrfan works, I used to keep looking at him while he delivered his scenes. He’s one brilliant actor and a pleasure to work with.”

She adds, “Bollywood is a whole new ballgame. They [the team] were so very warm and professional. I had an amazing experience working with all of them.”

According to sources She refused to comment on the ongoing Pak-India conflict and said she wishes that both nations soon develop peaceful relationships.

On her return to Pakistan Saba is all geared up to do a dance performance in the Hum Jazz Style Awards, alongside her “Besharam” co-star, Zahid Ahmed.

Hindi medium is a light-hearted romantic comedy film about a young couple from Chandni Chowk, eager to blend into Delhi’s creme de la creme. In an interview with Images, Saba Qamar spoke about Hindi Medium and revealed that she’s in talks for a biopic.

“It’s a very different topic yet very relatable; people will be able to connect to the story. It’s every household’s story in a way. Every home has kids, those kids need to get an education and have to learn certain languages.”

“We have even more issues; we need to know Arabic to read the Holy Quran, we need to know Urdu to converse in society but for a good job, we also need to know English… So we’re quite the jack of all trades, don’t you think?”

The report also states that Saba Qamar said, “For now I want to see how successful this project goes. ‘Hindi Medium’ was a big challenge for me but I learned a lot from the talented Bollywood actors acting opposite me.”

Hindi Medium focuses on Saba Qamar and Irrfan Khan’s characters, a couple who is on a quest to get their daughter admitted to a posh school. Saba has outdone herself as a dominating wife in Hindi Medium.

Saba was ruling the TRP charts with Baaghi for which she bagged the best actress award in LSA 18 this year. Now she is coming back with Badshah Begum. Gohar Rasheed will be starring alongside her. “The environment has become such that anything can happen any time. I remember at the time of Billu Barber, something had happened over a word. So, you always feel lucky when there’s no controversy, you never get to know when a mountain is made out of a molehill,” said Irrfan in a recent interview.

His previous film Madaari was in hot waters for his remarks regarding Qurbani, and he is now being cautious while speaking anything publicly. “Yes… I am very careful, and I realised one thing: we don’t have a place where you can go and express yourself and say what you want to, you’re a media person and your intentions may be good and you might write the thing in the right context. But after you write it, your words will be broken into different contexts and I can’t even comment on what extent it will happen. So, it is very unfortunate that we don’t have a platform where we can say anything,” said Irrfan.

Saba Qamar has once again become the talk of the town after she shared a gorgeous picture in a stunning pastel backless gown with the caption ‘If it’s meant to be, it will be.’ Under those pictures, Azeem commented, “Let’s get married?
