“Now I did “Dunk” because I thought that I had already heard this story before the script came to me and I read this news keenly. Death of a man is not collateral damage for me” Yasra further added “Till now, no other drama had this much extensive discussion on the landscape of harassment. In the first 6,7 episodes, it’s not about truth and lies it is all about consequences. First of all, it’s a world where everybody has believed a woman, tables are turned and his wife and daughter are getting affected, now not all innocent people are watching this drama and those who are involved in such acts are also watching the consequences. There is not always one way of storytelling”

Film Mehrunisa V lub u is an upcoming film produced under the banner of YHN productions. It is written by Saqib Sameer and features Danish Taimoor and Sana Javed in the lead roles and is all set to release on Eid-ul-Fitr 2017. The shooting of the film is already in process. The producer of the film Yasir Nawaz, had earlier revealed that the film is a commercial masala entertainer and will bring along a strong message.

Yasir this time again shed some light on his upcoming project Mehrunisa v lub u. In conversation with Images he revealed: “The film is a comedy, a rom-com basically, but it also has a small message which we’ve told through the comedy as the overall tone of the film is very light and fun.”

However, when asked about the plot of the film, he simply said, “If I tell the story, even a one liner, then all the suspense and fun would be ruined. So I’d rather avoid that for now.”

When asked about the music of the film, he said the project will include a song called ‘Badalna Hai’ penned by Indian poet Sampooran Singh Kalra popularly known as Gulzar, sung by Indian playback singer Sukhwinder Singh.

“Gulzar has written one song for us so far, and Sukhwinder has sung it. We’re in talks with him to do another song. Maybe we’ll have two songs by him, but we don’t have the second singer finalized for the track. He has sent us the song with make-shift vocalists so that we can continue shooting but for now no one has been selected,” he added, saying that the final vocalists will be revealed in a couple of weeks’ time.

He further said: “We have a ‘celebration song’ in the film in which we’ll have a guest appearance by Amna Ilyas.”

Yasir Nawaz is a famous actor and director who has been working in the industry for three deacades now. Nida Yasir and Yasir Nawaz make one of the most famous celebrity couples of the industry. Recently they made an appearance in Time Out With Ahsan Khan in which Yasir Nawaz revealed the instances when Nida broke television and laptop in anger.

“Once Nida was sleeping and I were watching TV, she asked me to lower down the volume of the TV, I decreased the volume, she again asked me to decrease it. Before that, we had a fight so her mood was off. I then decreased the volume. I have a metallic water bottle. She woke up and threw that bottle on the TV and the Tv broke” said Yasir Nawaz.

Nida then added that it was 4 o’clock in the morning and Balaaj was on mother feed at that time, what else one can do in that situation.

While sharing another instance Yasir said: “Once I was doing a play and I cast a girl in it. I was sitting in the room working on my laptop, Nida opened the door and asked me not to cast that girl in the drama. I said to her that I don’t interfere in your morning shows so I can cast whoever I want. Nida again warned me and asked me to remove that girl from the drama. I said that whatever you say it doesn’t matter I will cast her. She again warned me. I didn’t pay heed. She came picked up my laptop and threw it on the floor and after that jumped on it”

Yasir Nawaz’s film Wrong number has been subjected to criticism both from viewers and some celebrities also who think that the comedy in the film is not up to the mark. The trailer of the film has disappointed some people who were very happy with the revival of the Pakistani cinema because they think that this film is against that spirit.

Talking to Express Tribune when Yasir Nawaz was asked if his film was a family entertainer he replied, “Of course it is a family entertainer. If you can take your family to watch PK, Dil Dhadakne Do and Queen; you can watch Wrong No. with them as well.”

Yasir Nawaz said that a film is different from a drama. “Film ko dramay ki tarhan nahi dekhna. Film alag hai, drama alag hai” , he said.

Yasir said that he was very sure that people will thoroughly enjoy the comedy in the film. He also said that by the time the film ends people will want more of it.

Talking about the film Javaid Sheikh said, “Actually it’s right number not Wrong No., you will find that out on Eid. It’s a thoroughly entertaining film.”

Talking about the tattoo, Yasir Nawaz said, “Let me tell you about my tattoo because the people are trolling me regarding this. This is a temporary tattoo, it will go away on its own, I will make it fade after washing it with soap. It will vanish in ten to twelve days. It is just a temporary which I got because I wanted to have it for a while. I know tattoos are not allowed in our religion. Why would I get a permanent one?

In this interview Yasir Nawaz mentioned the reason behind his hesitation for drama serial “Mera Dil Mera Dushman”. 

Firstly Yasir mentioned that he never wanted to perform negative characters, because his father also advised him to avoid such characters. 

After completing his shoot for “Bikhray Moti” in which he performed a negative character somehow, he was offered another negative character by her friend for “Mera Dil Mera Dushman”.

Sana Shahnawaz, a close friend of Yasir Nawaz forced him to play this role in “Mera Dil Mera Dushman”. Yasir was not mentally prepared to perform this character, because he was already performing a negative character in “Dil Mom Ka Diya” but because of his friend he accepted this role. 

Yasir reveled that he could not do justice with his role because of some issues on the set, but he tried to convey his best.

The host of the famous morning show Good Morning Pakistan, Nida Yasir struggled in the beginning too. Yasir Nawaz, in an interview with Yasir Hussain, revealed how he was not okay with Nida hosting morning show.

“I didn’t like Nida doing a morning show in the beginning. But later with time, things got back to normal. It was obvious because it takes time to build up a show and that duration disturbed me.”
