The Pakistan International Screen Awards aka PISA 2020, was held yesterday in Dubai. The management team of PISA has received severe criticism for mismanagement and disrespecting celebrities.

Many stars including; Nabeel Zafar, Osman Khalid Butt, Ali Safina, Nadia Afghan, Ahmed Ali Akber were nominated first and then the management team failed to make travel arrangements for them. Celebrities came forward and slammed the team of PISA.

Yasir Hussain took to Instagram to share his opinion regarding this matter. He requested the team to be more organized and next time facilitate all the nominated stars.

Furthermore, he also requested celebrities to be more understanding as this is the first time PISA is happening in Dubai.

Feroze Khan got divorced recently and he has been in a lot of legal trouble since. It all started with his custody battle with ex-wife Syeda Aliza Sultan. During the trial information about alleged domestic during their marriage got leaked. This was picked up by social media and many artists also reacted to it calling out Feroze.

Feroze Khan ended up sending legal notices to many actors and actresses as well as his ex-wife for defaming him and posted their contact information and their addresses with the notice that he had sent without censoring anything. This led to all those actors and actresses getting prank calls and messages while it was also endangerment for them all as Feroze had leaked their addresses. FIA has been doing an inquiry against Feroze Khan after this.

Another Pakistan film is all set to go on floors and it is Yasra Rizvi’s Senti Aur Mental. It is also produced and directed by her. Senti Aur Mental seems like a comedy drama as the name is suggesting. The film was going to start filming a few years back but couldn’t due to unexplained reasons. Yasir Hussain and Yasra Rizvi herself were going to be the lead cast of the film but the time passed and now the cast change has happened as Yasir Hussain will not be playing the lead role opposite Yasra. Yasir Hussain has experience with film making as he has been a part of Karachi Se Lahore series. But now he has been replaced by the Sanwari actor Zain Afzal.

Zain Afzal will now be playing the lead actor opposite Yasra. He has also been a part of a film called Maya which was released in 2015 and now it will be his comeback to the silver screen in 2019. The other cast members include Syed Araiz and Faryal Mehmood.

Yasir Hussain and Iqra Aziz have finally tied the knot. The duo looked absolutely gorgeous and very much in love throughout their wedding festivities which consisted of a mayun, mehendi, shadi and valima reception. After his wedding, Yasir Hussain took to his social media to share a heartfelt message with his fans and followers talking about a simple wedding and how they had broken norms by not indulging in useless traditions and dowry.

The gist of Yasir’s message was how people had been making weddings difficult because of useless spendings. Yasir added how his and Iqra’s family had refrained from gifting each other the traditional gifts and instead opted for a simple wedding feast that they could easily afford. Yasir Hussain is proud of his wife Iqra Aziz for winning this award and he congratulated his wife.

Taking to Instagram, he wrote, “A hat trick at any level is a tremendous Accomplishment. congratulations Begam @iiqraaziz 2 saal mai 3 best actress Awards (Lux) aisi hat trick toh waseem bhai ki bhi nahi the. Mashallah you are not just best actress but best wife and best friend. I’m proud of you. Love.”

Iqra Aziz thanked her husband and wrote, “Baby thankyou for always supporting me and being there for me♥️ you’ve given me so much strength and love that all of this feels surreal. I love you to the moon and back.”

Pakistanis were excited for PSL 2020 but the opening ceremony was an absolute disaster. Fan’s energy and excitement were on its peak but the opening ceremony was truly disappointing.

The show was hosted by a new face in the entertainment industry, VJ Ahmed Godil. His way of hosting was trolled by social media. He tried to warm up the audience but it didn’t go well.

According to sources, Indian director, Shubra Bhardwaj was appointed to direct the show. It is the first time that an Indian director was appointed for the opening ceremony of PSL.

Actor Yasir Hussain shared a throwback story when he was hosting the first Pakistan Super League in Dubai. He revealed that Indian directors are not capable of handling Pakistani shows and they change the script as well.

He said, “when i was hosting very first PSL in dubai the same thing happened to me. these indian directors can’t handle Pakistani shows. they change your script and then say “kuch bhi bolty raho”.”

Yasir Hussain also requested to give chance to Pakistani directors and said, “plz Pakistani Directors ko moqa den.”

Yasir Hussain is a celebrity who is known for his versatility and blunt statements. He is a writer, director as well as an actor and he never shies away from saying what is on his mind. Yasir Hussain has been in controversy several times and he says whatever he wants without caring about the outcome. He said that Pakistani stars cannot really take humour and he has seen this a time or two. He said that he has seen stars like Meryl Streep getting roasted on the Oscars and how she handled it so well.

He said that he is grateful that Pakistani stars have not reached the Oscars yet as they cannot take jokes at all.
