Yasir Hussain and Iqra Aziz have finally tied the knot. The duo looked absolutely gorgeous and very much in love throughout their wedding festivities which consisted of a mayun, mehendi, shadi and valima reception. After his wedding, Yasir Hussain took to his social media to share a heartfelt message with his fans and followers talking about a simple wedding and how they had broken norms by not indulging in useless traditions and dowry.

Posting a picture of his hand holding Iqra’s Yasir wrote, “bhaiyon aur behno.. shadi itni mushkil cheez nahi hai jitna hum ne mil k usy bana dia hai . mai ne shadi gher mai hi karni thi magar choti jagah ki wajah se gher se bahar shift ki. hum ne aik dosry ki families ko koi ghairzaroori gifts nahi diye.. jahez nahi lia. bari nahi bani. fazool zevraat pe paisy kharch nahi kiye. nikah khwan k 8000 aur khana hasb e istetaat. shadi bus yehi hai . apny gher walon pe rehem karen aur Shadi ko asaan banaen.”

The gist of Yasir’s message was how people had been making weddings difficult because of useless spendings. Yasir added how his and Iqra’s family had refrained from gifting each other the traditional gifts and instead opted for a simple wedding feast that they could easily afford. No dowry was taken and no money was spent on jewelry or whatsoever. Yasir urged the masses to make weddings easier for one’s ownself and their families.

Yasir Hussain while defending his statement against Azfar Rehman mentioned that “Yes I mentioned Azfar’s name when I was questioned by the host that which one of the actor is not good at acting.”

One of the most prominent actor of Pakistani entertainment industry Yasir Hussain was recently spotted in an interview with “BBC Urdu”.

Yasir Hussain while criticizing TV shows and channels mentioned that “Recently I went to a show where, if I did not answer the questions asked by the host I was supposed to eat or drink different food items for example raw egg, ginger etc.”

“My question is that the TV shows or channels who ask such questions are not highlighted, if we reply to such questions we are immediately caught by the audience and then they start criticizing without any reason or knowing the exact reality or truth. People think that only I’m wrong if I answer such questions. The directors and TV channels should be questioned on doing such things”, added Yasir Hussain.

Yasir further said that “I really wanted to mention my name in every answer but I was not allowed to do so. If someone will ask me the truth, I’ll definitely tell the truth. There was nothing wrong I said.”

Yasir Hussain is indulging in a war of words with Nadia Khan. Nadia is an actress, host and now reviewer of dramas. She is a part of a show Kya Drama Hai and she reviews all the on-air dramas alongside Marina Khan and Atiqa Odho. She recently spoke about Paradise, a drama starring Iqra Aziz and Shuja Asad. The show is directed by Yasir Hussain and it is airing on Express TV. Nadia did not have nice things to say about the drama and revealed why she thinks Paradise has many problems.

Nadia Khan in the end stated that she was told by a big director from the fraternity that she should not even give 4 marks to a project that is bad. And this is what she should do:

Yasir Hussain is not happy with what Nadia Khan said about his project. He took to Instagram and said that he will give only 1.5 marks to her whole acting career and 2.5 marks to her hosting. He added that she has turned into Pakistan’s Arnab Goswami these days. He also encouraged fans to stop caring about critics and keep watching Paradise.

Many did not agree with Yasir Hussain’s remarks. They think Yasir needs to learn to accept criticism. He is not as successful as Nadia Khan in any manner. One said, “Paradise is a flop and you should learn to accept criticism.” One added, “Yasir is a diverse actor but he needs to resect seniors and gracefully take criticism.” A user was of the view, “The biggest achievement of Yasir’s career is his marriage to Iqra.” This is the other side’s point of view:

Yasir Hussain is an actor, director, writer and theatre who is always in the news for his statements and stances on various things. Yasir Hussain is blunt and he likes to speak his mind without caring about the circumstances or the backlash that he may get. One of his statements went viral recently and many took offense to what Yasir had said in that interview.

Yasir Hussain was a guest on Fayeal Quraishi’s podcast and clarified his stance about legalizing adult entertainment in Pakistan. Previously he said that such entertainment should be legalized here and the income on it needs to get taxed.

He said that people misinterpreted his stance. What he was saying is that vulgar dances are happening in the theatre unchecked and banning is not working. So, the government should legalize this theatre and start taking heavy taxes on them. This way the practice will be discouraged and revenue will be generated.

He further added that PEMRA should be strict on television. The unnecessary Shiza-Fiza type dramas and intimate scenes playing on television should be stopped as they are unnecessary and children can easily access television.
