Yashma Gill witnessed a motorbike accident while she was driving and stopped to help. The accident victim was heavily injured and Yashma stopped so she could help him to the hospital. She left her phone on her car seat when she got out of the carto help the victim. She took the victim to the hospital and saved his life but while she was out of her car helping someone else, her own phone got stolen.

Yashma later shared the story on Instagram and asked where we are heading as a society and there should have been compassion instead of crime in that moment.

She told that his father had two wives, not that they were disturbed instead she lived a happy life and things went smooth but she had this fear in herself that if she gets married, then there will be a chance that her husband will also marry another woman, and that’s what she can’t tolerate. She cannot share her husband with anyone else. “The things you run away from chase you the most and it’s good because when you face your fear you learn to conquer them. I met this guy and I dated him for a good one and a half years and obviously, there was a marriage that was on my mind and he also claimed that it was also in his mind. After one and a half years I got to know that he was nikkah-fied 3 years before he met me. That was a very big heartbreak for me not only because I had been lied to or I was betrayed but because the fear that I never wanted to face in reality came to my face. But now I am over it, I am 27 years old it’s been 7 years”

Yashma Gill appeared on Samina Peerzada’s show where she talked about her life-long struggles and how she comes from a broken family due to which she struggled with depression and anxiety.

Yashma shared her life story and said, “I come from a broken family and I started staying away from my family. I used to think all are against me and I can’t share anything with them. So, I started depending on friends. You try to make family outside but you don’t get the return which you get from your blood relations. You share emotional stuff with friends.”

“The things were going really rough and I shared with my friends. At one time in my life, I used to not know anything whatever is happening at my home. My family was used to my rebellious nature,” said Yashma.

Yashma poured her heart out and revealed, “I didn’t get the exact return from my friends. I made them my world but they didn’t make me part of their world. I think when you have a negative approach towards things you attract negative people. I made such kind of friends. At that time I was wanting lots of love, comfort, and acceptance. When you want to get accpeted you do a lot of stuff so I was taken for granted.”

Now after all this happened, there my battle with Allah started. When you’re in teenage life you don’t understand what you’re doing is something wrong and you don’t realize much. Then I start doing bad things because I saw nothing happens with bad people. You basically switch off the emotional button but somewhere in my head, there was fear of karma which I kept on suppressing. I won’t say which bad things I did but those things started making me feel guilty and burden increased inside my head, Yashma disclosed.

She further revealed, “At the age of 19, there was no one with whom I could vent out. All these things were going inside me and caused me depression and anxiety. I was diagnosed with clinical depression at the age of 19. That phase was the worst phase of my life because I was young and I couldn’t figure out what is happening with me. I had a panic attack later on. It was a difficult phase for me but I didn’t share it with my family. Later on, due to having anxiety and all I started staying at home and realized how nice my family is. Then I decided to change myself, I was the one who is wrong all this time. To stay away from the toxic environment I went to Australia for studies.”

She asked me to do one thing in Ramadan which was to pray five times a day and fast for the whole month. Just to prove her wrong I did all that. I used to listen to Zakir Naik as well. Slowly, the month passed and I did not feel anything has changed,” Yashma revealed.

As soon as the Ramadan ended, she again felt the same anxiety and negative thoughts. Yashma Gill while talking about her working experience in drama serial Phaans, mentioned that “When I was offered the drama, I was offered with Hira Khan’s character who played the role of Zara’s younger sister. I refused to portray that character because I played a negative character just before that drama so I didn’t want to do the same thing again and again.”

“Then they offered me Hafsa’s role which I changed a little bit. The part in which Hafsa makes sketches was added by me, they were not written in the script”, added Yashma.

Recently a video was shared by Yashma Gill on her Instagram account, where she is seen demanding justice for her dogs.

Yashma had adopted 2 stray dogs which had been the victim of much torture at the hands of cantonment board. They had been once before dragged by their necks with wires around them, and thrown out but still returned, them they were blindfolded and taken out , yet they came back. So I heard of this on my last trip here and I adopted them and got them vaccinated, says Yashma.

Yashma mentioned that “now I have returned on my visit to them in Lahore , and I have found out that they have been shot by cantonment board!! I am in absolute shock !! These dogs were of no harm to anyone, yet someone complained to cantonment board and they had them shot”. 

Yashma is now demands justice for her dogs, and for other such dogs that have been victim to such cruel fate. Furthermore, she added  “idk if the guy in the video had anything to do with the incident but his remorse and indifferent attitude and the statement “that pets are only always inside the house” boils my blood. People with such attitude in authority can’t get us anywhere with the safety of animals in future”.

Because it was Sunday so unfortunately she couldn’t get hold of all the staff in the office but she requested to get to the bottom of this and whoever is in charge of this atrocity with strays should immediately be told to act otherwise.

Ramadan 2024 saw a growing trend of game nights and we saw many celebrities growing out and enjoying different games at several venues. There were physical sports like badminton and tennis while celebrities were also seen playing boardgames before Sehri. The trend grew a lot and game nights were held every other night.

Yashma Gill is also a permanent fixture at all these games nights and she also threw her own in the last Ashra. Many people have criticized game nights as they thought this time should be utilized in ibadat and Yashma now has an answer for all this criticism.

Yashma said that they have more time during Ramadan and they also want to stay awake till Sehri so game nights are a good idea. Added to that physical activity is good for health. She said that people who criticize them should also concentrate on their own ibadat and not comment on their pictures.
