Khalil-ur-Rehman signed four drama serials and one film script with Geo Entertainment and 7th Sky Entertainment.

Geo Entertainment announced that they have suspended the contract of Khalil-ur-Rehaman after he gave derogatory remarks on Marvi Sirmed.

The popular channel also wants Khalil-ur-Rehman to apologize for using abusive language and sexist remarks.

The official statement says, “Geo believes in exchange of ideas and promoting the culture of Live and Let Live (Geo our Jeenay do) we believe that everyone has the right to express their opinions and the culture of healthy debate should be encouraged. Khalil u Rehman Qamar sb  not only used abusive language against a woman but also refused to accept his mistake and apologize for it.”

Raqs-e-Bismil is an upcoming drama series having a soulful story, featuring Imran Ashraf and Sarah Khan in lead roles. It has been written by Khuda Aur Mohabbat writer Hashim Nadeem and it will air at the end of 2020.

There are only a few dramas every season that public waits for to watch on their television screens. One such drama is Kuch Ankahi which has brought on a collaboration between the Kashf Foundation which has always presented good scripts empowering women and sending out great messages and Mohammad Ahmed, a writer who can write without the usual tropes of violence and sister rivalry. Add to that the direction of Nadeem Baig and the cast including names like Sajal Aly, Bilal Abbas Khan, Irsa Ghazal, Asma Abbas, Mira Sethi, Qudsia Ali, Ali Safina and Sheheryar Munawar Siddiqui.

The first episode of Kuch Ankahi aired last night and it had everything, a dash of drama, a pinch of spice and a whiff of comedy. Some characters are relatable while there are a few larger than life. People got to see their favourite characters and the main idea was introduced in the first episode.

Coke Studio 2020 earlier announced its artists for this year and people were excited about it. Today, three songs have been released featuring different artists. The first song is Jaag Rahi which has been sung by Fariha Pervez and Ali Noor. The second one is Dil Khirki sung by rising star Mehdi Maloof. Asad Rauf is a former ICC elite umpire who has rendered his services in countless international matches. He also did umpiring in IPL and was quite popular in India. Asad also made headlines with an Indian model.

Today, the Islamabad High Court has allowed the makers of Hadsa to showcase their drama on the television. His post reads, “The Honourable Islamabad High Court has allowed our fictional character Taskeen, to tell her inspirational story of getting justice for herself and all other survivors like her. The detailed verdict of Supreme Court says that the drama can be aired without showing the rape scenes. HC stated: “The impugned order dated 30.08.2023, passed by Pemra has been suspended in the light of case law”. It further said, “Only the objectionable part should be prohibited from being broadcasted and directed to be suitably modified, and the broadcast or rebroadcast of the complete play or drama must not be prohibited”.
