A Pakistani restaurant has recently introduced the Halal version of Beer for the people who occasionally wants to taste the beer but in a Halal form, according to the chef of the restaurant, the best is for those who are against having Haram Beer.

Well, the idea behind Halal Beer was derived from Dubai where all sorts of beer is available, so I wanted to introduce something for our youth which should be Halal, I made a version which has Halal ingredients including lime soda, fresh fruit puree, 7up soda and Jo Water”. There are only a few dramas every season that public waits for to watch on their television screens. One such drama is Kuch Ankahi which has brought on a collaboration between the Kashf Foundation which has always presented good scripts empowering women and sending out great messages and Mohammad Ahmed, a writer who can write without the usual tropes of violence and sister rivalry. Add to that the direction of Nadeem Baig and the cast including names like Sajal Aly, Bilal Abbas Khan, Irsa Ghazal, Asma Abbas, Mira Sethi, Qudsia Ali, Ali Safina and Sheheryar Munawar Siddiqui.

The first episode of Kuch Ankahi aired last night and it had everything, a dash of drama, a pinch of spice and a whiff of comedy. Some characters are relatable while there are a few larger than life. People got to see their favourite characters and the main idea was introduced in the first episode.

Here is how the audience is reacting to the fist episode of Kuch Ankahi:

Asad Rauf is a former ICC elite umpire who has rendered his services in countless international matches. He also did umpiring in IPL and was quite popular in India. Asad also made headlines with an Indian model.

Currently, Asad Rauf’s videos are making rounds on social media in which he can be seen selling second hand clothes and shoes in a local second-hand goods’ market in Lahore. Soon after the videos made rounds, the news channels reached out to the umpire and asked, “Why an elite umpire is compelled to sell second hand stuff?”.

Replying to the query of many, Asad Rauf said, “I always used to wear good clothes, I have a reasonable knowledge about clothes, that’s why I started this work”. Talking about his financial conditions he said, “this is the work I have been doing even before cricket, this business stood me on my feet, in Pakistan, people make fun of you for the work or profession you opt to do, there is no harm in doing what you know, the work has been going welll, so far”. Asad Rauf also said that he has enjoyed a great cricketing career. He denied all the accusations that were inflicted on him that he did spot fixing. He said that he didn’t receive billions of dollars and his condition pretty much tells that he didn’t do spot fixing.

Ramadan transmissions are going on in full swing and the whole month we get to see big stars coming on these shows. There are scholarly reviews, quizzes, celebrity interviews, cooking recipes and a lot of other stuff on these shows and we also get to see a lot of controversies. There are a lot of objections too on these Ramadan transmissions with some having reservations about actors hosting these shows while others objecting to the consumerism these shows project.

Dr Omer Adil is a very famous host and an insider of Pakistani entertainment for years. He gave his two cents about these transmissions and he did not mince his words. Dr Omer Adil thinks these shows are garbage and they are not promoting any good values in society. A lady hired to cook in one segment will be telling us wazaif in the other and that is how these shows run.

Here is what Dr Omer Adil thinks about these transmissions:

People agreed with Dr Omer while others thought that he should remove statues from his house before giving advice. Here is how people reacted:

Chahat Fateh Ali Khan is the new sensation on the internet. His weird sense of style, his music and whatever he keeps pulling keeps him in the news and gets him invites to different shows and events. He just hit it out of the park as he released his version of the old song Akh Lari Bado Badi. His song Bado Badi managed to get 28 million views on social media. The song was a hit in the whole South Asian region due to its catchy tone and outright ridiculousness.

The original song is by Madam Noor Jehan and it was and is a hit.
