President Mamnoon Hussain Showed Up At The Parade Yesterday & The Trolls Just Wouldn’t Stop

23rd March, Pakistan day was full of patriotic emotions, brilliant parade and spectacular show of Pakistan Air Force at Seaview, Karachi! The amazing Pakistan Day celebratory show was indeed memorable. President of Pakistan Mamnoon Hussain showed up at the parade festivities yesterday but because this was one of the very few times Pakistanis got to see him being a part of any official event, the nation couldn’t stop themselves from trolling the president. However, we all still respect him.

Our fellow Pakistanis shared their Mamnoon jokes and took over the twitter. And boy, they were really mean!

And a sweet petty request:

Prem Gali Last Episode Story Review – Finally

Ohkay so, Prem Gali ended last night & to be honest, I feel relieved. Although the drama ended on a good note & it was a clear case of everyone living happily ever after but I really feel that is just not enough. The major mistake the drama-makers did with this drama was to prolong it for 30+ episodes because the story of Prem Gali was just not made for these many episodes. It is unfortunate that the commercial aspects always take over such projects & instead of ending them at the right time, the viewers’ patience is tested.

Characters Failed To Show Any Growth

As much as the drama started off on a high note, it kept on deteriorating, until it became hard to sit through its episodes without getting distracted. The writer Faiza Iftikhar gets full points for some of the messages she instilled in the story for the audience to see & understand. The best message definitely was how a newly married couple deserves time & space to grow as a team but then again, the way the joint family system was glorified & Hamza & Joya were blackmailed & guilt-tripped into believing they did something extremely wrong, it just took away the impact of that message because, in the end, it was obvious that Hamza & Joya themselves were a part of this craziness & couldn’t function without it being a part of their lives.

I really feel this turned out to be a story of unreasonable characters. The unreasonability looked funny & interesting in the initial episodes but when the characters failed to change or show any growth, that’s where it stopped working altogether. It is amusing that the madness Hamza & Joya ran away from, they themselves started showing signs of that by the end of the drama. The last two episodes were dedicated to one single misunderstanding that happened where Hamza misjudged Joya for keeping Dada Jaan’s condition from him a secret & it ended up being so dragged that literally, everyone had to jump in to make Joya understand such a basic thing that she needs to let go of it. Obviously, there are never definitive answers to such situations & characters who continue to be so unreasonable but it seems they all will continue to be this way with one of them always making mistakes & others blowing things out of proportion.

Prem Gali Last Episode Story Review - Finally

Joya also failed to forgive her father but I guess Shireen should’ve had that kind of conversation with her, telling her about the wrongs she committed too when she was married to Manzoor. It was sad that this could’ve been used as an opportunity to show that separated parents can also be on cordial terms with each other with Shireen & Manzoor coming to terms with how their life panned out & how they came to terms with it for the sake of Joya. In the last few episodes, all the characters kind of took a backseat & it was Joya, Hamza & Dada Jaan in the limelight, with their equation not being too fun either. Even at the end of the story, it was this easy for Dada Jaan to make Joya doubt her Nani’s intentions & question that maybe she was faking her illness!?!

The only interesting track for me in this drama was of Luqman & Musarrat but unfortunately, they both got the limelight literally at the end of the drama that where the writer could’ve made the most of this particular track, even that opportunity was wasted. I am pretty sure Luqman & Musarrat could’ve brought the charm that both Hamza & Joya being lead couple failed to do. Uzma Hassan was brilliant as Musarrat & Abdullah Farhat was just perfect as sad Luqman.

The Execution Wasn’t Right

All in all, Prem Gali could’ve been an interesting drama but the dragged & prolonged treatment made it what it is. I do understand that the writer Faiza Iftikhar had a very exciting idea in her mind but when it came to execution, maybe the director or even the producers failed to understand how to take it along because this drama just failed to make an impact. Usually, when social messages are given in such a light-hearted manner, it tends to make a lot more impact but this one just fell flat. The actors no doubt did a great job, Farhad Saeed & Sohai Ali Abro were brilliant & so was the rest of the supporting cast but together they all just couldn’t create magic, the chemistry that would’ve made Prem Gali a superhit drama or an interesting watch. Please share your thoughts about the final episode of Prem Gali.

Prem Gali Episode 9 Story Review – Absolutely Sweet

Ohkay so, this episode of Prem Gali was fun & interesting to watch. Prem Gali is now at that stage where I am actually enjoying the way the story is progressing & I am glad that there is so much happening in the lives of the main leads that the pace now seems fast. One of the strengths of this drama in my opinion is the interactions between the characters & their one-liners. It is always interesting to find out what each one of them has to say because one thing’s for sure, they all are opinionated & do not hold back in voicing them out.

Hamza’s Plan

Hamza took his job very seriously & decided he had to arrange a few proposals for Joya so that in the end Shireen gets disappointed & chooses him to be Joya’s life partner. One would actually think why isn’t Hamza being honest & upfront but considering the kind of person Hamza is, he fears Shireen’s rejection because he knows it is going to be very hard to undo if something of that sort happened as Shireen is not someone who changes her mind easily. By now, everyone is pretty aware of the kind of nature Shireen has & Hamza is dealing with this entire situation keeping that in mind. I absolutely loved the interactions that Shireen & Hamza had. It is always interesting to note how Shireen doesn’t allow anyone to act over-smart or efficient in front of her – the pani & ilaichi comment was made by Hamza because he wanted to make sure that Shireen sees how over efficient he is but she corrected him then & there. I liked seeing how Shireen cut Hamza short almost at all the instances & didn’t give him an edge. Although it’s a simple love story the way Faiza Iftikhar has added this angle to it which makes it a lot more complicated & fun at the same time.

Prem Gali Episode 9 Story Review - Absolutely Sweet

This entire episode definitely belonged to Farhan Saeed & Hamza of course because he ran the show & was in the limelight the entire time. It was enjoyable to watch him come up with one plan after another, he also posed to be quite confident in front of his friends but in reality, he was losing his mind over the thoughts of exposing Joya to so many suitors who might approve of her.

I must say, another beautiful & endearing part of this episode was Rahat’s support to Hamza & Joya. I like how Faiza Iftikhar had established the bond between Rahat & Joya right from the beginning but showing that Joya’s grandmother was always in touch with her emotions. We have always seen Rahat being supportive of Joya & feeling a lot for her. Out of all the people, Rahat is the only one who understands how hard Shireen has been on her only daughter, that is why she requested Shireen to allow Joya the freedom of meeting her friend Fari or as much as having a pet. This is exactly why now when she easily approved of Hamza, it didn’t come as a surprise because this is exactly the kind of relationship both Joya & Rahat have. They have this equation where Joya has Rahat’s back & that turned out to be the case this time around too. All the things Rahat said to Joya were absolutely sweet & it is nice to know that Rahat totally saw Hamza as an eligible bachelor & suitable life-partner for Joya. I am glad that Joya & Hamza have Rahat on board with their plan & now everything is being taken care of by her & Hamza doesn’t have to worry much.

Prem Gali Episode 9 Story Review - Absolutely Sweet

Another fun interaction was between Hatim & his father related to the zodiac signs & zaicha that his father wished he had checked before Hatim was born. Luqman too has started bonding with Musarrat & they both get to talk about their emotional baggage with each other. It was nice to see Musarrat being comfortable around Luqman, though it was unintentional they both seemed fine with the idea of interacting with each other, it wasn’t like they were awkward or having a hard time talking.

Fun Interactions

This episode of Prem Gali was quite interesting to watch. All the characters have grown on me & I like seeing them interact. Farhan Saeed was definitely the star of this episode. Sohai Ali Abro was cute as Joya. Abdullah Farhat has definitely made Luqman a very interesting character, his dejected body language & the never-changing forlorn expression on his face actually make me feel for him quite a lot. Saba Hameed, Shamim Hilali & Uzma Hassan are convincingly playing their characters. The story is definitely getting better with each passing episode. It is definitely going to be fun watching Hamza & Rahat’s plan unfold, with Joya assisting them further. The comedy quotient in this drama is absolutely amazing, all the interactions Rahat & even Shireen had with the guests were quite amusing. The director has done his part well & made sure that he does justice to all the characters that Faiza Iftikhar has given such dynamic personalities to. Please share your thoughts about this episode of Prem Gali.

Prem Gali Episode 8 Story Review – Heartwarming

Ohkay so, this was probably one of the best episodes of Prem Gali that have aired so far. Just when I was getting a little worried about the message that was being imparted regarding the importance of unnecessary burdens like dowry, Faiza Iftikhar came through & did not disappoint. This entire episode showed how close-knit neighborhoods join hands & show support in the hour of need. Everything that unfolded in this episode was heart-warming & I loved seeing each one of them contributing in their own way.

Heartwarming

The main focus of this entire episode was mostly on Fari’s dowry. It showed how not only Haseena but all the families in Prem Gali got affected by this tragic event. What made it even better was that it all just didn’t stop there & everyone came together to show support to Haseena & Fari. It won’t be wrong to say but as much as I liked seeing all of them playing their part, I was getting concerned about the collection of new dowry for Fari because in times like these, where weddings have turned into business transactions for the majority of the society, to reiterate the importance of dowry was making me feel uneasy.

However, it doesn’t take away the sweetness of the entire incident because out of all the people, it was Shireen who came up with the idea of helping Haseena out. For her & then everyone else to give up on their savings just to support Fari was absolutely sweet. It showed how their hearts were connected & the emotional residents of Prem Gali understood the true essence of being neighbors, because of which they all decided to play their part. Haseena too felt burdened but because she was feeling helpless, she couldn’t say no to their generosity. It goes to show that in some aspects, they all may disagree but its always times like these when everyone feels the need to come together & figure a way out.

Prem Gali Episode 8 Story Review - Heartwarming

I liked that Fari took a stand against what everyone was trying to do in regards to her dowry. She had all the right to do that for herself because she didn’t want her worth to be reduced to the things she or her mother could afford to take to her new home. Although it was Joya who understood what her friend was trying to say I actually laughed when out of all the people, Hatim made it look like he too was on the same page & then the look that he got from Hamza explained it all that he definitely wanted all of his money back.

I was happy that the writer decided to show in-laws like Firdous’s family who wanted nothing from Haseena but only agreed to the dowry because they understood that as a mother she must’ve picked up some gifts for her daughter. It showed that they were simply considerate people who didn’t want to hurt a mother’s feelings & wanted her to do whatever made her happy. This episode definitely imparted a beautiful message that materialistic things don’t really always guarantee a happy married life or a life full of dignity & respect only because a girl’s family was able to afford a lot of stuff – by the end of the day courtesy, consideration, respect, empathy, understanding & love matter the most & set ground for a healthy relationship that two individuals share.

It wouldn’t be an episode of Prem Gali that does not end on a cliffhanger. Shireen wants Hamza to find a decent guy for Joya, it is actually amusing that Shireen, who happens to be so far-sighted has not even for once paid heed to the fact that Joya can get married to Hamza too. Obviously, it’s not going to be an easy journey for Joya & Hamza, which means there’s going to be a lot more drama on the way. Another interesting development was the interaction between Musarrat & Luqman. I loved seeing them together in one frame & having an emotional conversation – I can already sense fireworks & definitely looking forward to their love story. Imagine seeing them both love-struck & smiling thinking about each other, it’s going to be absolutely cute.

Prem Gali Episode 8 Story Review - Heartwarming

A Breath of Fresh Air

This episode of Prem Gali was definitely heart-warming with a lot of beautiful interactions & some cute moments. Hamza clicking Joya’s pictures was another cute moment that they shared. Also, the way Hamza was right there for Fari, as well as Joya throughout this entire incident, was really nice to see. He genuinely is a nice guy & it shows with the way he behaves & interacts with people around him. Shireen won hearts in this episode by showing it again that she too had a heart & felt a lot for people she is associated with. It was nice to see everyone coming together in this episode & trying to find a way out of a messy situation collectively. Script, direction, acting, camerawork & characterization definitely make Prem Gali a breath of fresh air. Please share your thoughts about this episode of Prem Gali.

Prem Gali Episode 7 Story Review – A Feel Good Drama

Ohkay so, this episode of Prem Gali was fun. The best part about Prem Gali is that it’s a feel-good drama & even if the overall story doesn’t make much progress, the interactions between all the characters make you smile because they are so many & each one of them has one thing or the other to contribute to.

Fari’s Wedding Festivities Begin

This episode focused more on the interactions between all the residents of Prem Gali, where they all came together for Fari’s joyous wedding. Another major event was the interaction between Shireen & Hatim. Fari is on cloud 9 & she can not wait to get married. It was absolutely a treat to watch each & everyone from the neighborhood excited to participate in Fari’s wedding one way or the other; be it Tau Hidayat who came to bless the family of the bride or the tea vendor who enthusiastically supplied tea to Haseena’s place because he knew she was hosting a lot of guests.

Prem Gali Episode 7 Story Review - A Feel Good Drama

Hamza & Joya continue being smitten by each other. Hamza following Joya during the all-girls shopping spree was amusing as well as quite realistically portrayed. All the interactions that girls had during their shopping trip were fun to hear because these are the things girls around brides talk about. This is what sets Prem Gali apart that although the scenario is comparatively new & there’s a focus on an entire neighborhood, the conversations they have & even their wit & humor portrays realness every single time. Even the comments that the shopkeeper made, firstly about Fari’s complexion & then about her friend’s weight, despite being wrong were amusing because this is what usually happens in day to day interactions where people find it hard to keep their unwanted opinions to themselves & then people end up reacting differently.

Shireen decided she wanted to hire Hamza as Joya’s tutor but because of that, she got to meet Hatim & his father. In short, she met Hamza’s family & got to see that they were just happy-go-lucky kind of people who were also their neighbors. Shireen actually didn’t find anything questionable about them, therefore the chances of her approving Joya & Hamza’s marriage are quite high.

Prem Gali Episode 7 Story Review - A Feel Good Drama

Although all the residents of Prem Gali are totally different from one another, one thing that’s common between all of them is their ability to assume things quickly. Hatim & his father didn’t even think for a second before assuming that Shireen must have come for something else, this is why they kept on pushing it & thought that she wanted Joya to get married to Hamza. It also showed how desperate they were because without even seeing Joya, they were ready to agree to the proposal. Honestly speaking, I sighed with relief when Shireen clearly spoke about the tuition, because it meant the whole misunderstanding didn’t prolong & they all got a clear idea why she was here. The way Hatim took back the plate from her hand was amusing. It also highlighted the fact that he would half-heartedly go out of his budget if he is going to get something in return, but if that doesn’t happen to be the case, no one can eat a morsel of food from his house for free.

Fun Episode

This episode of Prem Gali was fun to watch. Along with that, there are always certain antics & expressions of the characters that I as a viewer enjoy observing & that adds more fun to the overall drama-watching experience. I am glad this episode focused a lot more on the rest of the characters & even Musarrat had a thing or two to say. It was heart-breaking to see Rahat speak so callously about Musarrat’s divorce, especially when she knows that she is quite sensitive. This is another depiction of reality that at times, family members being family members do not really understand where to draw a line, they just say everything casually without thinking about hurting the feelings which at all times is wrong, especially when it is related to such a sensitive subject. Anyhow, one thing is good that now with Luqman being a tutor, there are chances of his & Musarrat’s interactions. Can’t wait to see that.

The direction & camera work continues to impress. I especially enjoyed all the scenes where the girls stepped outside of Prem Gali & explored the markets together, they were done well. It was a treat to watch Waseem Abbas & Saba Hameed as well. Please share your thoughts about this episode of Prem Gali.

Prem Gali Episode 6 – Story Review

Ohkay so, this episode of Prem Gali focused on Fari’s rishta & everything related to it. Overall the episode was enjoyable to watch but the story is not really showing much progress. So far, it has been purely about the characters – establishing the dynamics of the residents of Prem Gali & also how they all are very much involved in what happens within the vicinity of their mohalla, even if it’s something as personal as someone’s proposal. The conversations & witty dialogues are definitely the strength of this drama but I would definitely love to see some progress in the story.

Proposals

The way all the neighbors showed excitement & involvement when it came to Fari’s proposal was actually quite sweet. It kind of shows how important it is to be surrounded by people who like to feel that they are very much a part of your life, even if it is appreciated or not. Haseena’s take on everything was actually quite amusing because she knew that they all wanted to know the details to satisfy their curiosities. Apart from what has happened in the recent past where the entire neighborhood targetted Fari & Luqman, I find Haseena to be unnecessarily bitter about everything in general. She barely shares a healthy equation with people around her & not really sure why she is like that because on the surface, everyone else in the mohalla seems nice in general. They all do have their issues where they find it hard to mind their own business but Haseena’s anger & bitterness that comes through all the time is a little hard to digest.

Fari & Joya’s excitement was actually quite cute. The comedy related to names is definitely refreshing & probably is being heard in a drama after quite a while which probably is my favorite part of Prem Gali. No matter what, they always have to have an opinion on people’s names, which kind of starts the conversation & gets it going. I must however commend Faiza Iftikhar for showing all kinds of people under the sun in Prem Gali. The conversation between Mateen & Tau Hidayat showed two different perspectives where Mateen focused more on what Firdous had, but Tau Hidayat was more concerned about his religiosity, nature & niceness.

Hamza & Joya’s track has been pretty stagnant but finally, he did get the conversation started about his & Joya’s marriage. Some of the scenes covering his & Luqman’s discussion about this entire aspect seemed a bit too stretched but nonetheless, I am glad he finally decided to speak up. It seems Joya & Hamza will get to spend some time with each other especially when Shireen will appoint him as her tutor, or maybe not especially after she’ll see the kind of reaction Hatim & his father will give upon hearing Joya & Hamza’s name being linked up. This is definitely going to spread a rumor because that’s what usually happens in Prem Gali.

Time For Some Progress

It seems there’s going to be a fair share of tears in the next episode with someone once again going wrong with Fari & her marriage. It will be nice to see the entire neighborhood coming together & standing by Fari’s side yet again – which I hope will help in changing Haseena’s perspective. I would really love to see more of Musarrat’s character especially because of the way Uzma Hassan has played that character. I feel Rahat’s character gets a bit too much coverage in every single episode. Her dialogues are fun & it is interesting to note how she always has a lot of opinions about everything but I feel there are other characters too which are interesting as well & deserve a lot more coverage as well such as Shireen, Hatim & even Musarrat. Shamim Hilali has been phenomenal as Rahat & there’s absolutely no denying the fact. I especially love how she is always concerned about Joya & is thoughtful of her emotional state especially. Let’s see how things roll in the upcoming episodes. So far Prem Gali has been promising but I think it is important to show some progress in the story as well because at this point everything seems a bit too situational. Prem Gali Episode 5 Story Review – Mohallay Ki Baji

Ohkay so, this episode of Prem Gali was happening & had some emotional moments which were done nicely. The overall execution of the drama is really interesting but at times, the situations fall flat & seem to be a bit too stretched. The dialogues of Prem Gali happen to be one of the strengths of the drama so far with some actors doing justice to the tone set by the writer with their perfect timing, whereas some of them seem to be struggling. Prem Gali overall is the kind of drama that one can tune to when in the mood for light-hearted entertainment, for that purpose, it definitely is the drama that should not be missed!

Fari Becomes Mohallay Ki Baji

The curiosity got the better of Fari & Luqman, therefore they were linked together & the rumors spread. It was interesting how everything escalated quickly but then it also served as a realization to almost each one of them who became a part of the rumors because they eventually believed the things they heard from Luqman. The way things ended was definitely surprising because I actually thought Fari was going to get married to Luqman because she kind of liked him but then, Luqman proved that he genuinely loved his Dua.

In this entire scenario, what I really liked was how their humane side was highlighted with each one of them having a different kind of emotional understanding & perspective. Luqman thought Fari was in love with someone else & because she came to meet him, he could not get married to her. He didn’t want to repeat the same mistake & when I heard him say all those things, I actually hoped that he & Fari get to have a conversation so that he can find out what’s in her heart.

Prem Gali Episode 5 Story Review - Mohallay Ki Baji

I feel everything falls flat in most of those scenes that are shared by almost all the characters. Somehow the timing seems to be considerately off & it seems they all forcibly say things in order to contribute to the scene, even if there’s no need for it. This makes some of those scenes a little uninteresting. Luqman came to Fari’s rescue & Fari was sad that she became mohallay ki baji.

Once again, I liked how the writer brought in emotional nuances to that entire conversation which was supposed to be humorous with Fari contemplating whether people would’ve believed her or not had it not been for Luqman. I wish they had also shown Shireen’s apology because it would’ve been nice to see that side of hers too because of its a rarity that Shireen feels that way. It was however suggested that she went to see Haseena but then I did feel that scene should’ve been a part of this episode.

Prem Gali Episode 5 Story Review - Mohallay Ki Baji

I am kind of amazed that Fari hasn’t been able to put two & two together when it comes to Joya & Hamza. She continues to make guesses & is easily fooled by Joya’s lies. Joya also has no reason to hide everything from Fari but I guess she is too scared of the rumors getting spread but I guess her friend deserves that much of her trust. Joya & Hamza’s scenes are interesting but are kind of getting repetitive, I am eager to see some developments in their track.

A Hit & A Miss

This episode of Prem Gali was more of a hit & a miss, but I will say that I did enjoy the conversations all the characters had with one another. As much as I really enjoy Qavi Khan’s energy & scenes, his character is coming along as caricaturish. Farah Shah is such a good actor but in Prem Gali, she has been unable to give a convincing performance. I wish Sohai Ali Abro had not gone overboard as Joya because at all times, she has made it obvious that she is ‘acting’ & not performing the character of Joya.

Saba Hameed & Waseem Abbas continue to hold my interest as a viewer of Prem Gali, also the supporting characters such as Tau Hidayat & Mateen have a lot to offer. Anoushay Abbasi & Abdullah Farhat are convincing as Fari & Luqman. I think with Fari out of the picture, there’s a possibility of Luqman & Musarrat ending up together – if that happens, I’ll be more than happy & can’t wait to see that track developing. The precap suggests some development in Joya & Hamza’s love story which is definitely required considering we’re past the initial stages of the story. Let’s see where it goes. Prem Gali Episode 4 Story Review – Fun Episode

Ohkay so, Prem Gali is the type of drama that you can just tune to, in order to get entertained because everything is very situational along with some real fun dialogues & conversations. It is always good to watch such dramas where each & every character has its own personality & without much effort, when they all come together, they create amazing chemistry which is always refreshing to experience. It has been established by now that although with each passing episode, a bit of a story gets unfolded but in general, everything is quite situational which covers the collective mindset of the people residing in Prem Gali.

Fun Episode

I am glad they didn’t just introduce all the characters immediately, this is why now when slowly all the characters are making an entry, it is helping in building up the interest. As much as I was keen to find out more about Nargis, I was pleasantly surprised to see her husband Mateen. They both are a representation of those people who are very superstitious & believe in what they actually want to believe in without logical thinking. It took one basic conversation between Chaudhry & sons & Haseena for the rumor to spread & take such a turn where people started contemplating whether Hamza’s grandfather was really handsome that he compelled the ghostess to cross borders for him. That entire conversation was hilarious & then the way Mateen kept making sure that no one forgot about the new species that have started to reside in Prem Gali was amusing too.

Prem Gali Episode 4 Story Review - Fun Episode

It was interesting to note how the things Rahat told to Joya about Shireen made it far more clear why she turned out to be such a tough cookie. It was because Shireen saw that despite all the efforts of pleasing her husband, despite being a soft-natured, kind-hearted person that she was, she couldn’t save her marriage, that ended up having a reverse effect on her & that’s when she decided she won’t commit the mistakes her mother did. In one way or the other, the writer has also shown that no matter which extreme you’re at, marriage is hard work and needs a middle and common ground between the husband & a wife to make it work.

Joya & Hamza’s love story is turning out to be cute. The writer has added all the flavors that are in any love story of youngsters as possible in Prem Gali too. This is the reason we get to see them bickering over small things, having misunderstandings, walking the extra mile to catch a glimpse of each other & throughout the day, thinking about when they are going to see each other next. All these moments shared by both Hamza & Joya are cute & make their equation interesting, but then again, it is imperative that they have a lot of obstacles to overcome.

The entire conversation that Chaudhry & Sons’ had about their marital status was hilarious. The way their father recommending lying to conceal their past was amusing too. If things were as simple as they thought they’d be, they wouldn’t be having so much trouble finding a girl for Hamza. Anyhow, Luqman already is catching onto what Hamza’s up to, but the rest of the family members have yet to figure it out. For the first time, there was a bit of eagerness from Joya’s side too which was interesting. I like how the writer has kept their feelings & development of the relationship quite organic & raw. They are two young people who got attracted & started liking each other & that’s how they are approaching it as well, no complications nothing at all!

Prem Gali Episode 4 Story Review - Fun Episode

Funny Conversations & Dialogues

This episode of Prem Gali was interesting & fun to watch. I am liking the simple & light-hearted overall vibe of this drama. It is the kind of drama where you don’t need to put in much effort to pick up the details that are being shown or discussed. A complete entertainer with some real fun dialogues & conversations. I was in a fit of laughter when Rahat & Musarrat discussed Rahat’s family that resides in Hyderabad, the entire essay with which they paid tribute to the beautiful features of all of their female relatives was hilarious. The ease with which Shamim Hilali & Uzma Hassan delivered those dialogues made it look like they actually are so used to speaking like that, which goes to show the kind of effort all these actors have put in to embrace these characters in order to portray them to their full potential.

In this episode, in particular, Farhan Saeed & Sohai Ali Abro were really cute. I also really like Tau Hidayat’s character, the things he said about wanting to go to Umrah were sweet, it goes to show how neighbors share their plans & certain dreams with one another while the other doesn’t mind giving health advice. Although Shireen was blunt with him, what she said came from a place of concern. The preview of the next episode was quite intriguing, can’t believe Luqman & Fari will be framed for something but then again, considering the way things roll in Prem Gali, it would be a perfect case of the mountain of a molehill. Prem Gali Episode 30 Story Review – Should’ve Ended By Now

Ohkay so, I honestly tuned to this episode assuming it might be the last but that did not happen & it actually was off-putting. I mean all the things that transpired in this episode, if they had happened back in the 15th or 18th episode, it would’ve made so much sense. It is actually amusing that a drama has been dragged for so long only for the viewers to see Hamza’s ridiculous plans of winning his wife over. What’s frustrating is that in situations that seemingly look realistic, so many things happen which are far from reality & the sad part is, none of it is fun watching either.

Super Unrealistic

Hamza finally found out that Joya was keeping a secret about her father & his boss Manzoor from him. He then realized his mistake & decided to fix it. By fixing it, he thought it was an amazing idea to resign from his job. I wonder how he felt it was the right thing to do, that too before he even heard from Joya. Yes, Fari must’ve given him an insight into what was going through Joya’s mind but well. Instead of just going to Joya directly, Hamza also decided to take a very unique route to get to her, so that he can prove his innocence to her. Joya obviously has come back but wants to be around her in-laws so that no one questions or even speculates that Hamza & Joya are having issues.

Hamza once again decided to come up with yet another plan to fool Joya so that she comes back to him. Joya is adamant that she is not going to forgive Hamza for misjudging her intentions but has she not heard about a thing called ‘benefit of the doubt’. She is ready to be around her in-laws only so that nosey neighbors of Prem Gali do not make assumptions & spread rumors but she is not ready to speak to her husband directly about what happened & how could he be so wrong? Are Hamza & Joya ever going to behave as adults & deal with these issues like two mature individuals or are they always going to play around like toddlers? Seriously it is absolutely no fun watching their take on different situations which always fall flat!

Luqman decided to pursue Musarrat once again & even got his brother Hatim on board. This was the ‘only’, I repeat ‘only’ good thing about this episode. I wish this track had gotten more coverage because it was far more enjoyable right from the beginning. Musarrat is scared but to see Luqman being a thorough gentleman while dealing with her was really sweet. It was nice that Rahat also decided to persuade Musarrat because everyone has seen the kind of person Luqman is.

Prem Gali Should’ve Ended Weeks Ago

The next episode definitely seemed interesting because it is going to cover Luqman & Musarrat’s wedding but I am kind of upset that it also might not be the last episode of Prem Gali? I am not sure who thought it was a good idea to spread this drama over 30+ episodes because there was absolutely no need for that. Please share your thoughts about this episode of Prem Gali.

Prem Gali Episode 3 Story Review – A Happening Episode

Ohkay so, this episode of Prem Gali followed the pattern of the previous one where it started off on a fun note & ended on a grim one showing what transpired in the past. I must say it’s an intelligent way of establishing what happened in the past & also to humanize the characters a bit more by showing their struggles & emotionality. To be able to feel for a character, it is very important to understand where they come from or what they have been through, therefore I actually liked seeing the backstory of Chaudhry & Sons!

A Happening Episode

The first part of the episode was quite interesting. It uplifted my mood the moment I tuned to it because of how the day started in Shireen’s house, it all seemed very realistic & relatable. The mood was grim & dull, none of them had the courage to face each other & were sulking but then Rahat took over & made sure that everyone snaps out of it. I loved seeing how Rahat brought everyone out of that mood. That’s what the elders usually do because they know the situation better. She didn’t want her daughters to continue to feel bad because of what happened in the past or what some inconsiderate strangers said. As a mother Rahat has seen all that her daughters have been through, therefore she understood that none of the things that people say actually matter. These are their personal lifelong struggles & they have worked hard to move past that phase of their lives. I must say the things that Rahat continued to say about those women & their dietary preferences were hilarious.

The entire scene where they thought Joya has run away was quite interesting. I loved the kind of assumptions they made, it once again showed the kind of mindset each one of them has. It didn’t take Shireen a moment to suspect Kuwait returned plumber & Fari. Musarrat had a lot of faith in Joya & she knew Joya wouldn’t do something like this. Rahat just panicked but then in the end also showed that she felt for Joya a lot because of all the restrictions Shireen has imposed on her. I must say, this has to be the most unique name someone would choose for their pet ‘jaanu manu’. Shireen’s reaction to it was hilarious!

Prem Gali Episode 3 Story Review - A Happening Episode

Joya & Hamza’s relationship is blooming & Hamza has already confessed what he feels about her. Joya definitely likes the attention & it’s understandable, considering how decent Hamza is plus Joya herself is at that age where an attention of this kind makes a girl’s heart flutter. However, I really like that Joya is not unduly or unreasonably smitten by Hamza. She has her inhibitions & it shows, that too because she lives with three women who have had bitter experiences when it comes to marriages, therefore I like Joya’s overall attitude & behavior when it comes to Hamza. She likes him, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with it but she is not too welcoming & is maintaining a distance.

The entire Milaad sequence was quite special too. It showed how the entire neighborhood comes together with Rahat being a representation of those people who do not usually entertain the idea of going out of the way to be a part of religious gatherings because they have their own beliefs & way of appproaching things. The way Fari & Joya discussed Biryani without Alus was hilarious, it kind of makes it all look very real because these minute details are usually discussed mostly after such gatherings in general, it also adds the comedy factor without trying too hard.

So, finally, everyone got to know how Chauhdry & Sons ended up being on their own without a trace of women in their lives. Hatim still believes that because he went against the orders of his Peer o Murshid, his wife ended up losing her life. His father was too passionate about Dangal, therefore he never really paid heed to the pain that his wife was going through. She fell sick & he didn’t really have it in him to actually understand how bad the situation is. All the things his wife said showed what an emotionally & physically absent he was as a husband. He let his wife suffer alone without complaining & now he has nothing but regrets. Luqman’s story was really sad, he got married to his Dua who actually was in love with someone else. If only Abdullah Farhat had toned down his acting a bit in that scene, it would’ve made a bit more impact because yes, although he seems to be quite emotional, it ended up looking funnily dramatic which is quite unlike him, but then maybe he was given a briefing to be like that because he was in front of his family & all the emotions are usually unfiltered in front of parents & siblings.

Prem Gali Episode 3 Story Review - A Happening Episode

Tau Hidayat came through with his Hidayat, first when he told Joya to drape the dupatta over her head & then he caught Hamza in action. I think by now, Hamza should know that if there’s one person who will be another big obstacle in his & Joya’s love story after Shireen, it is going to be Tau Hidayat. Joya ended up believing what she saw, which showed how relationships usually work, there are always ups & downs, sometimes things are smooth but then the next minute they are rocky – it was actually quite cute. Now Hamza will have to show Joya a complete picture for her to understand why Tau Hidayat reacted the way he did!

My Idea of Entertainment

This episode of Prem Gali was really nice. After this episode, I think there won’t be a need for more flashbacks or backstories because the main characters have been covered. I will say that I liked how the focus was shifted on Chaudhry & Sons because, in the first two episodes, it was mostly about Rahat & Co. Now that we know about all of them, it would be interesting to see their stories going hand in hand & tracks interlocking. Saba Hameed & Waseem Abbas definitely stand out & Waseem Abbas a bit more with his bright solid colored Kurtas. I really like how Faiza Iftikhar has crafted their personalities because no matter what they all are going through emotionally, they all get to be in their element & have unique personalities.

Sohai Ali Abro & Farhan Saeed have done a commendable job as Joya & Hamza too but somehow, they still have yet to draw the entire attention to themselves because at this stage of the drama, their story seems merged & although I don’t mind seeing what’s happening in their lives, I am more interested to see the tracks of other characters, especially the older ones. Their love story & conversations are definitely cute but at this stage, there are a lot of other things that seem far more interesting. Anoushay Abbasi as Fari is cute too, she has that sass & quirk to her character which makes me look forward to her scenes. After this episode, I am interested to find out more about Nargis & her story too. Dialogues & all the conversations make Prem Gali a fun drama to tune to, this definitely happens to be my idea of entertainment & I am enjoying it. Writing, direction & acting so far seems to be great. Please share your thoughts about this episode of Prem Gali.

Prem Gali Episode 29 Story Review – Misunderstandings

Ohkay so, honestly speaking it is upsetting what a drag Prem Gali is. It is also upsetting how misunderstandings have been stretched, forced & prolonged to create one situation after another. While watching this episode & seeing Rahat crying for Joya, instead of feeling sad for her, I felt burdened, this happens when the viewers fail to connect with the characters & it is only because the execution has been weak in that regard. Prem Gali could’ve been a very interesting drama but the slow pace & forced one-dimensional situations where everything thrives on misunderstandings hasn’t allowed that to happen.

Yet Another Misunderstanding

In this entire episode, Hamza was being mad at Joya because he ‘misunderstood’ that she was keeping a secret from him. I mean, Hamza has been with Joya for some time now, plus in general, he has seen that she is a very simple-minded girl who just says what she feels, so before even judging her or questioning her intentions, he should’ve thought twice. I felt relieved that at least before this episode ended, the misunderstanding between them subsided but Joya failed to tell him the actual secret that she has been hiding from him!

Joya connected with Shireen on another level & felt guilty for not being around. Rahat was happy to see her daughter & granddaughter having such a special moment. It was also nice to see Hatim being so considerate towards both Hamza & Joya because he has decided to respect their choices. However it seems that both Dada Jaan & Rahat really want the kids back in the house but the good thing is they have somewhat understood that some of the boundaries should be respected.

I really wish we could’ve gotten more of Luqman & Musarrat but for starters, the proposal finally happened & Musarrat’s reaction to it was amusing. She never saw it coming but it won’t be too long before she will start taking it seriously because she too was thinking about Luqman. I thought maybe Luqman only proposed to her because he wanted to make Dada Jaan happy but it was nice to see that he himself wants this because he has fallen in love with Musarrat. This was actually cute, probably the only track in the entire drama that is nice!

Hamza & Joya’s interactions have been so boring & burdensome. The lack of chemistry & the overall boring vibe is just off-putting, to be honest, plus the makeup clad faces of both Farhan Saeed & Sohai Ali Abro also take away from the gravity of the situation because it is quite distracting to see them so made up irrespective of what their characters are going through.

Hope It Ends Next Week

The preview of the next episode promised a lot of drama where Hamza will once again do what it takes to win Joya over & everyone else will help the cause too. I really hope that the next episode happens to be the last & Prem Gali ends on a happening note. Please share your thoughts about this episode of Prem Gali.

Prem Gali Episode 27 & 28 Story Review – Some Realizations

Ohkay so, the past two episodes of Prem Gali took things forward & covered a few tracks that deserved some attention. I am glad that the story is now headed towards the ending & they are wrapping it up decently. However, now when the drama is almost about to end, I still feel it could’ve been a lot better if the pacing had changed & things were executed differently. Right from the beginning everything seemed a bit too stretched & had a very artificial vibe to it which made it hard to take this drama seriously. The good thing about Prem Gali is that it had a lot of nice messages but the way things were tackled didn’t add any depth into the situations that was needed.

Some Realizations

Shireen & Manzoor came to terms with what happened in the past. Manzoor acknowledged his mistakes & also gave Shireen the confidence that he was not here to take Joya away from her. The meeting between Joya & Manzoor lacked any depth & emotion. I also have an issue with the background soundtracks & music that they have used, it is just not easy to the ears. The only sound effect I liked was when Musarrat showed up because it matched the mood of the situation.

It was nice to see Musarrat finding her own happiness & not letting her past control her present or general outlook in life. The conversation she had with Luqman was nice too & it is interesting that she saw his dejection & decided to use it as a learning curve for herself too. The scene where Luqman looked at Musarrat for the first time with some interest was done nicely. I really think their equation deserved a lot more coverage because it was probably my favorite track in the entire drama but unfortunately, they will only get together at the end.

Joya has started seeing Shireen in a different light. She has a lot of gratitude for her mother. The time away has just only brought Hamza & Joya emotionally closer to their family members but they both are scared to admit that. They both feel they will disappoint each other but this is exactly how they both are feeling at the moment. It is also because they feel the guilt of leaving their loving family members in the lurch & leaving them unnoticed.

It won’t be an episode of Prem Gali without a situation shaping up based on a misunderstanding. At first, this used to look fun but now it seems burdensome that even after being with each other for a decent amount of time, they all fail to simply ‘understand’ each other. Hamza thought Joya was keeping Dada Jaan’s condition from him a secret without even thinking there could be something else too. The preview of the next episode also suggested that Joya will finally leave & things will become a lot messier once again based on a simple ‘misunderstanding’. I really don’t think anything is going to change in their family dynamics when Hamza & Joya will go back to their parents’ house but maybe they will learn to live & deal with the chaos & that will be their happy ending.

About To Wrap Up

Prem Gali could’ve been a very interesting drama if they had sped up the pace of the drama. I also feel the background score has a lot to do with the overall mood & vibe of the drama as well because it does impact the watching experience & Prem Gali has some of the most emotionally draining background scores. The Punjabi music seems forcefully fit in & the sad one is simply daunting. I am glad the drama is in its final stages & it is about to end, about time. Please share your thoughts about this episode of Prem Gali.

Prem Gali Episode 26 Story Review – The Aftermath

Ohkay so, this episode of Prem Gali focused more on the chaos that ensued after Joya and Hamza left. It showed how on both sides, none of them was truly happy. Their family members were upset & emotional whereas Joya & Hamza themselves didn’t really know what should be done. It seems they were just excited for this adventure & now when they are past that stage, they are just feeling burdened.

Chaos

It wasn’t too amusing to see Hamza & Joya in such a shape where they were just unsure of what they should & they must do with the opportunity they have created for themselves. They wanted to experience life as a newly married couple living freely & doing things as they liked but now when they have a chance, they are failing to make the most of it. It shows that they too have gotten used to the chaotic life they had when they were with the family but it actually defeats the purpose altogether. In so many relationships, space, time & privacy is actually the dire need of a couple but in Prem Gali, we’re getting to see a one-sided picture where they are just not ready to be on their own & like being spoon-fed by their elders, who fail to acknowledge the fact that there is a thing such as privacy which is a right of a newly wedded couple.

Prem Gali Episode 26 Story Review - The Aftermath

The scenes that covered the emotional state of their families were done well. They all had an argument, followed by speculations & planning. Shireen once again like paranoid that she is decided to blame Manzoor for it but then Manzoor once again came clear that he didn’t have anything to do with this. Joya has found out about Manzoor & she too felt guilty for leaving her mother in the lurch.

The news has spread & people are speculating but even those scenes were mere fillers but then it was understandable because this is how things roll in Prem Gali. The next episode will also have a lot of drama with Dada Jaan not coping well with the fact that Hamza has left his family. It was also interesting to note how both sides were blaming Hamza & Joya for coming up with this plan, whereas none of them actually thought about it that may be they both were on the same page & wanted this for themselves equally.

Wrap It Up Please

This episode of Prem Gali was average & it seems that they are on their way to wrapping the drama up, which I feel should happen soon. They have already taken things a lot slower than this kind of drama deserved so a happy ending is very much needed. However, it is upsetting that so far nothing has progressed between Musarrat & Luqman, talk about things being slow. Sohai Ali Abro has acted really well throughout the drama but in this episode, she went overboard. She usually has the tendency of overacting & in this episode in particular she showcased just that, which wasn’t a lot of fun to watch though. Prem Gali Episode 25 Story Review – A Decent Episode

Ohkay so, this episode of Prem Gali was heaps better than quite a lot of the previous ones, because it showed some development & most importantly, a change that was much needed. It was nice to see a perspective of a young couple who was struggling to find a perfect balance where they did feel guilty but also wanted to stick with the decision they made. It is however unfortunate that the rest of the characters fail to show growth, they are very much happy with the way things are because so far they have not got a reality check. Here’s to hoping that this decision of Hamza & Joya serves as an eye-opener for them but it seems they will be guilt-tripped for prioritizing their privacy & mental peace by their family members who run big on emotions.

Hamza & Joya Ran Away

Hamza & Joya did face some emotional challenges before moving out. They got reminded of the love & warmth their family members exude & they were already realizing that they’d be missing out on all of this from this day onward. However they stood by their decision & it was nice to see them settling down, together, as a team & most importantly as newlyweds who deserved every bit of peace, privacy & freedom.

It seemed Shireen finally decided to let Joya know the reason why she was so paranoid about Hamza’s job. It was good to see her coming clear but then again, the way she literally pestered Hamza & Joya because of her own inhibitions was wrong, that too when she herself was able to see that Manzoor did not have any evil intentions. It is still very upsetting to see Shireen being so one-dimensional & bitter, especially at this stage where she can look back & realize that she got to live life on her own terms. Obviously, being a single mum who had to struggle to provide for her entire family has made her somewhat bitter but that should’ve also made her wise & forgiving.

Prem Gali Episode 25 Story Review - A Decent Episode

It was interesting how everyone slowly found out that both Hamza & Joya have run away. The best reaction came from Rahat as she came up with conspiracies of how Joya has betrayed Hamza. Obviously, it isn’t going to be all fun & games because Dada Jaan won’t be able to take this news lightly. It seems Shireen will once again blame Manzoor for giving Hamza these ideas because out of nowhere she finds it easy to hold him responsible for whatever is happening in her life right now. It is ironic that Shireen still thinks Manzoor has this much power & authority even when he has never meddled with her affairs all these years.

It is unfortunate that the couple who would’ve probably run the show has been sidelined so badly. This was the 25th episode & right from the beginning, we all have been waiting to see Musarrat & Luqman together but it still hasn’t happened yet. They are so consumed with their guilts & issues regarding Hamza & Joya that they really haven’t gotten the time to think about themselves. It seems they will get together in the end where the viewers won’t even get to enjoy seeing much of their relationship.

A Decent Episode

This was definitely a decent episode of Prem Gali, also because the entire focus was on Hamza & Joya, what they were doing, how they were feeling, how they were adjusting to this new life without the interference of their family members. Their feelings seemed genuine as well where they were having a hard time because they understood how hard it was going to be on their family members. Anyhow, let’s see how things roll in the next episode. Please share your thoughts about this episode of Prem Gali.

Prem Gali Episode 24 Story Review – Boring

Ohkay so, this episode of Prem Gali probably had nothing to offer. The only good thing that happened was Luqman finally finding out the truth & learning that he had misunderstood Joya & her feelings right from the beginning. However, it was also quite frustrating because this was the 24th episode & to see this misunderstanding prolong for so many weeks was anything but funny. Throughout this drama, Faiza Iftikhar has actually imparted some perspective-altering messages however the way Hamza & Joya were unconsciously being guilt-tripped into believing that they were doing something wrong looking for their freedom wasn’t right at all.

Clan of Obsessives

Over the weeks it has been established that the personality trait Hamza & Joya’s family members share is being obsessive. They all are obsessed with one thing or the other & it is actually painful to see them taking their obsession to another level. I am really glad that Rahat has taken a backseat for a few weeks because she was quite the front runner in the race. Shireen has become another unreasonably obsessed character who fails to understand that there could be another side of the picture too. The way she is barging into Mazoor’s office every other day trying to fight him is not amusing either. So far everything Manzoor has said makes sense & I liked that he forced her to think about the reasons her daughter was drifting away. However, I will say that all the hype & excitement there was regarding Manzoor & Javed Sheikh’s presence has fizzled out pretty quickly. He definitely has been wasted in this space & it seems any other actor could’ve played this role because the director failed to give Manzoor’s character & Javed Sheikh the treatment they deserved. In every other episode, he barely has a few dialogues & that all there’s to it.

Prem Gali Episode 24 Story Review - Boring

Luqman finally found out that he was wrong about Joya & that she was never really involved with someone else. He also figured that the picture she had was given to her by Haseena, which obviously makes no sense because Haseena & Joya never really shared that kind of relationship, to begin with, but then it was a lame attempt of clearing the air. Obviously, they couldn’t really unfold the truth any other way so this is what happened. Now it seems Luqman will take the rest of the episodes to overcome his guilt. The scenes of Luqman & Musarrat weren’t shot on Prem Gali’s location & that was an actual terrace of a building, which immediately changed the entire scenario & didn’t match with the vibe of the drama. These issues have persisted throughout the drama & it really has shown the poor execution Prem Gali has gotten.

Hamza & Joya are pretty much set to leave this zoo but every step of the way, they were being reminded of how important the family was & should be. I have actually agreed with the rest of the messages that the writer has given in this drama & even now she is reinforcing the value the family members hold but this should be a point of consideration if people around are sane & normal. In this case, Joya & Hamza are surrounded by people who are overly obsessed with them, to the point of ruining their lives. Be it Hatim or Hamza’s grandfather, be it Luqman or Shireen & Rahat – they all do not understand that Hamza & Joya need space, they should be treated as adults & most importantly they should be given privacy, therefore Hamza & Joya have all the right to move out without their family members creating a drama!

Background Noise

This episode of Prem Gali was boring, to say the least. It is unfortunate that the drama viewers had so many expectations from has turned out to be suitable as background noise because it fails to keep your interest. Also, Prem Gali is the sort of drama that should have 20 episodes at max with the story progressing quickly but the dragging & repetition have absolutely taken away all the charm it once had. Prem Gali Episode 23 Story Review – Bizarre

Ohkay so, even before reviewing this episode, I just want to say that I am dreading the next episode after seeing its preview. It seems more emotional blackmailing is going to unfold & things will become a lot harder to watch. I think at this stage, it would be amazing if the channel starts airing double episodes of Prem Gali so that things progress a bit quickly & the drama ends without testing our patience too. There is no denying the fact that Faiza Iftikhar has definitely done a great job in coming up with such a meaningful story & has added so many great messages but when the overall execution is poor, it does not help the situation in any case & this is exactly why Prem Gali has failed to become a super hit drama that the viewers thought it would!

Overdose of Psychos

In this entire episode, the only thing that stood out for me was Hamza’s personality & his perspective towards Joya. It is good that Luqman did all of that because it pushed Hamza to come to a final decision but obviously, he will have a hard time leaving his family too but at this stage, it was good to see him taking a stand for his wife. While watching this entire scenario unfold, I was wondering how much of this thought of Hamza would’ve stood out if the execution was better but that hasn’t happened. It definitely was refreshing to see a husband like Hamza in a Pakistani drama who did not falter at calling spade a spade & before anyone else, himself realized that it was better for him to have his own space with his wife. This was the only important development in this episode & the rest of the scenes were just fillers.

I really can not emphasize enough how disappointing Shireen’s behavior has been. From someone who did not even pay heed to what was happening around him, she has turned into this agony aunt who can not help but judging & calling people out around her. All the things she said to Musarrat were absolutely distasteful. It is painful to see Shireen not realizing that it is solely her behavior & poor judgment that is pushing Joya away from her but instead because she sees Musarrat as a soft target, she decided to say such mean things to her. Also, how many times are they going to be talking about the past? Even in real life, after a few years no one actually bothers bringing up the past but it is now bothersome to see Shireen, even Rahat speaking so obsessively about how they all got divorced & the reasons behind it. Musarrat is the only person who does not stoop to their level & she is far better than them!

Prem Gali Episode 23 Story Review - Bizarre

At this stage of the drama, it won’t be wrong to say that Joya’s family has more psychotic tendencies & as far as Hamza’s family is concerned, they are actually quite normal. Luqman definitely is the psychotic one on this side but Hamza’s father & grandfather are very much sane. It seems the writer thought she was going to add an exciting twist in the story with this entire Hamza Joya eloping situation like some love-stricken couple but to be honest, the reactions & emotional blackmailing that are going to happen prior to it is already making me uneasy. It is unfortunate that the drama which had so much potential has had such a slow pace that it literally snatches away all the charm it might’ve otherwise had. They have also strategically started the conversation about the pros of joint family, the things Tau Hidayat & Fari said in the favor of family values & joint family system definitely goes to show that Hamza & Joya will be forced to reconsider their decision, which is no fun either.

Hamza Saved The Day

This episode was boring & bizarre, to say the least, but Hamza definitely saved the day with his sensibility & showing how a husband should protect his wife & most importantly trusting her no matter what others say. The fact that Hamza chose not to even look at the picture presented by Luqman was another brilliant thing that he did. Farhan Saeed & Sohai Ali Abro have definitely made this drama bearable to watch because of their acting, screen-presence & chemistry. Please share your thoughts about this episode of Prem Gali.

Prem Gali Episode 22 Story Review – A Decent Episode

Ohkay so, this episode of Prem Gali was better than the previous few episodes because, in this one, both Hamza & Joya were seen addressing the issues that are being created by their family members. I also liked how the writer subtly inculcated the idea that a husband & wife are totally entitled to having their own space, in order to keep the rest of their relationships intact. There is absolutely no denying the fact that Faiza Iftikhar has definitely put her mind to what she wanted to convey through this drama, therefore each & every scenario has a purpose & that is very much appreciated!

Hamza & Joya Address The Issues

Prem Gali has always dealt with serious & dire issues in a light-hearted manner, this is why in this episode especially, it was made clear why the writer was showing families bickering over petty issues. This is exactly what we see in different dramas but in a most negative setting but in Prem Gali, Faiza Iftikhar took a different approach & although she too has shown the issues faced by newly wedded couples, she has tried to convey how important is it to give space to a husband & wife so that they develop an understanding with each other. Joya & Hamza have not had any problems with each other but they always find themselves surrounded by issues that are created by their family members. I think this has also enabled them to take a stand for each other, at least it has started off with Joya where she put her foot down & told Shireen to not interfere in the matters concerning Hamza.

I did feel Joya was a bit too harsh with Shireen but when someone fails to budge & on top of that, fails to give justified reasoning for her unreasonable demand, it obviously does not leave Joya with any other option than to say things that will pinch her mother. Shireen obviously has her own reasons but once again, the way Manzoor has projected himself, he seems like a decent person who only wishes well for Hamza & Joya. The thing that seemed quite frustrating was how Shireen is adamant that no matter what happens, Hamza will eventually leave Joya. She definitely is painting him with the same brush & is failing to even consider it for a second that Hamza might be different & she must be wrong!

Prem Gali Episode 22 Story Review - A Decent Episode

Once again, Luqman’s suspicious behavior towards Joya may seem annoying but it does serve the purpose of bringing Musarrat & Luqman closer. In this episode, Musarrat did give words to the expectations she had of him, which goes to show that she definitely has developed some feelings for him but this thought definitely hasn’t crossed Luqman’s mind so far. Another thing that was absolutely wrong was Luqman going through Joya’s phone in order to find out if she is in love with someone else or not! Like seriously, this was wrong on so many levels!

The time Hamza spends with his neighbors is definitely going to shape his perspective & he will be forced to consider moving out, which he hasn’t thought of so far. It was nice how Abdul Maria tried to tell him that moving out does not mean that he is cutting ties with his family & in fact, it will give him the opportunity to maintain the dignity & value of these relationships in front of Joya. I liked that both Hamza & Joya did speak about how their family members were making things difficult for them & Joya didn’t leave things unexplained when she too asked him to leave his family behind. They both are justified in feeling this way & it was nice to see Hamza trying to understand how his family was making it hard for Joya exactly how her family was making it for him.

Decent Episode After Weeks

This episode of Prem Gali was definitely better than the previous few episodes. Things have finally started to move forward but I really am disappointed with how Shireen has been behaving. I really hope Hamza & Joya work as a team & make a decision that they deem right without letting anyone cloud their judgment. Sohai Ali Abro, Saba Hameed, Farhan Saeed, Uzma Hassan, Waseem Abbas & Abdullah Farhat have done a brilliant job & their chemistry as one big family definitely makes things better. Looking forward to the next episode for sure. Please share your thoughts about this episode of Prem Gali.

Prem Gali Episode 21 Story Review – Repetitive

Ohkay so, this was another average episode of Prem Gali with hardly a couple of scenes that seemed interesting & were good enough to provide the entertainment that was expected of this drama. Apart from those few scenes, the rest of them were highly repetitive & added more to my frustration as a viewer because, after 21 weeks, the thing you don’t expect is to be hearing the same conversations that were happening probably in the initial episodes.

Shireen The Paranoid

Hamza has become a hero of Prem Gali & everyone is looking up to him but the only one who has an issue with everything that he does is Shireen. The conversation that Shireen had with Joya regarding Hamza, trying to prove that he will eventually betray her trust was absolutely annoying & uncalled for. Shireen was coming across as paranoid but in this episode, she proved that she actually is suffering from paranoia & sadly, she is pushing Joya to be like her as well. It is kind of ironic that even after so many years, Shireen has not even once tried to analyze the situation to see where she went wrong with her marriage. It seems for Shireen, playing the blame game is easier & now she is doing the same thing with Hamza.

I was totally on Hamza’s side when he felt annoyed with how Joya’s entire family was interfering in each & every situation & making things hard for him. Joya also blamed Hamza’s family but that was far stretched because yes, they too are invested in the newlyweds’ lives but they are far from being as annoying as Joya’s family is. It was nice to see Joya acknowledging Hamza’s intelligence & how he earned everyone’s respect. It’s high time that Joya draws a line & prevents her family members from meddling in Hamza’s affairs especially.

Prem Gali Episode 21 Story Review - Repetitive

My only favorite scene of the episode was the conversation between Luqman & Musarrat. There was a spark from Musarrat’s side & Luqman without actually realizing did say a few things which showed that he saw Musarrat in a positive light too. As much as I feel that Uzma Hassan has made Musarrat’s character interestingly tolerable, I feel she has been wasted in Prem Gali. If it wasn’t for Uzma Hassan, Musarrat’s character would’ve looked super annoying, but as much as she has done a great job in portraying this character, I feel there should’ve been more for her to perform considering the phenomenal actor that she is. Another interesting conversation was between Fari & Joya, where they discussed their husbands, their marriages & the good & the bad.

Shireen & Manzoor’s interaction was nicely done too. That entire scene did make it obvious why Shireen had so many fears, it was because she never really gave herself a chance to understand Manzoor & his feelings. In this entire scenario, Mazoor came across as a reasonable man who actually wanted to be there for his daughter but also didn’t want to hurt Shireen or take away the fact that she was raising their daughter with so much effort & hard work. It seems after understanding Manzoor, Shireen will also start seeing Hamza differently & won’t paint him with the same brush but I honestly hope that happens soon because the slow pace is already getting to me.

Sohai & Farhan Are The Saving Grace of Prem Gali

This episode had a few important developments to its credit but I don’t know why, the overall execution & vibe of this drama is off because of which it fails to grab my interest. Sohai Ali Abro & Farhan Saeed definitely have emerged to be the saving grace of this drama & after so many weeks, I find their scenes interesting. I definitely have warmed up to their characters & understand how painful it must be for both Hamza & Joya to be stuck in between such people who are unduly obsessed with them. Prem Gali Episode 20 Story Review – Breaking Stereotypes In a Boring Way

Ohkay so, this was yet another average episode of Prem Gali. Faiza Iftikhar definitely deserves credit for trying to break stereotypes in Prem Gali. She definitely has put her time & energy into handing out a few important messages through this drama but unfortunately, the execution is so boring that it becomes a task watching Prem Gali. It is sad that a drama that started off on such a high note has now fallen flat & is burdensome to watch.

Forced Situations

Mateen, Nargis, Haseena & Salman’s track still was irrelevant. Although the writer didn’t add those scenes without a purpose but because everyone looks so caricaturish, it is hard to take them seriously. The things Mateen as well as Nargis said to Salman & Haseena about Firdous’ financial status depicted the petty mentality that people have who actually see marriage as nothing but a business deal. As much as I do appreciate the fact that Salman didn’t really pay heed to the things he heard from Mateen, but in that entire scenario, he too didn’t seem to be the right person showing off his morality because, in reality, he too falls in the same category. Salman has been jobless & probably aimless too. In their family, it was Fari who used to run a parlor to make some money, also Haseena has been running a marriage bureau to make a living, whereas Salman has only been working out to pump up those muscles. Therefore to hear Salman talk about responsibility, especially financial responsibility didn’t really make an impact. If it would’ve been Hamza, this scene definitely would’ve worked & served its purpose. So far, Salman comes across as a spoiled over-aged toddler who only knows how to whine to win what he wants.

Prem Gali Episode 20 Story Review - Breaking Stereotypes In a Boring Way

I never really imagined that I’d say this but Shireen is turning out to be such a disappointment. The way she took part in the case made against Abdul Maria & co. was so disappointing. When the drama began, Shrieen came across as the mature & wise one but with each passing episode, she is proving that she is Rahat’s daughter after all & being unreasonable is in her blood. It is also funny as well as ironic that the men she knows are only good at stirring the pot; Tau Hidayat & Mateen, she ended up believing them more than her own son-in-law who now shares a roof with her & has given her no reason to complain. In this episode, it became clear that although Shireen likes to blame Manzoor for divorcing her, I can’t help but see her paranoia being the only reason why he decided to part ways with her. It is so sad, that the strong & independent Shireen has now become a paranoid Shireen & I really don’t like her much now!

The moments Hamza shared with Sukhi & how he stood up for them was definitely the best part of this episode. Joya & Hamza’s relationship is also developing for the better but unfortunately, the preview was upsetting, rather frustrating. It is sad that of all the people, Shireen has now made up her mind that she has to question every move that Hamza makes & has to be suspicious of him all the time. No fun whatsoever!

Upsetting Promo

This episode of Prem Gali was strictly alright. The preview of the next episode also was quite annoying with Hamza & Joya now fighting over who in their side of the family is a bigger psycho. It is kind of annoying that now almost every other scenario in Prem Gali now looks forced & doesn’t really do much to keep you engaged. The script definitely needed a better execution & less caricaturish characters to have that realistic appeal to it. There is something unrealistic about the way the drama has been directed, because of which it fails to leave an impact. Anyhow, Farhan Saeed and the actor playing the role of Sukhi definitely deserve a special mention for acting brilliantly. They made this episode a lot less taxing. Prem Gali Episode 2 Story Review – The Judgments

Ohkay so, this episode of Prem Gali didn’t really take the story forward but instead got the viewers familiarized with what the characters have gone through in the past. It was a nice way of showing their vulnerabilities & also to establish the fact of how far they had come. Usually those who carry a tough facade are seen to be emotionless but that is never the case because usually strong people also have such moments where they fall weak & get affected by bitter words. The best aspect of this episode was definitely all the interactions that the characters had with one another in the first part of the episode because by the end, the mood got a bit grim.

The Judgements

Joya & Hamza have very much fallen for each other but after all that happened, Joya is too scared to even say it aloud to her friend. Fari’s analysis of Joya’s life & her predicament was perfect because as an outsider, she can clearly see how dictated & controlled Joya’s life is. Joya & Hamza’s interactions are not too pleasant but that clearly shows how they both are being that way only to cover up the fact that they like each other.

Prem Gali Episode 2 Story Review - The Judgments

The main issue that was addressed in this episode was how a label of any sort is enough to haunt someone for the rest of their lives. It also gives people the right to say whatever they feel like based on their poor judgment. It didn’t take a second before those ladies rejected Joya because of the fact that Rahat, Shireen & Musarrat were divorced. That immediately made me think of how hard Shireen has struggled as a single parent, how she toughened herself up so that she could protect Joya like a father figure in her life would’ve done, but still, unfortunately the fact that she was a divorcee outbid all the hard work that she has done to date. It was a perfect example of how negativity consumes you & how it is a downward spiral because nothing can stop those bitter memories from resurfacing.

I kind of liked that they showed what actually happened in the past & how they all got divorced. Sadly, because of their attitudes their spouses found it hard to continue with the marriage, but still it was enough for me to feel for them all. It was nice to know that Shireen was always this strong & opinionated person whereas Musarrat was always an emotional one. In the flashback scene, Shehzad Sheikh & Jinaan Hussain gave such convincing performances, like they actually set the tone immediately to show how unhappy they were in this marriage. Shehzad Sheikh actually looked frustrated being in a relationship with a controlling woman & Jinaan Hussain actually picked up Saba Hameed’s attitude & demeanor perfectly. It didn’t take a second for me to actually see her as a present-time Saba Hameed because of the way she portrayed her younger version. Well done!

Prem Gali Episode 2 Story Review - The Judgments

This episode did not give away much of the story but it was still interesting how they showed two different sides of life – the happy moments & then not-so-happy ones. In the initial part of the episodes, all the interactions, the dialogues were hilarious. I thoroughly enjoyed watching all of them being honest, open & upfront about each & everything that crossed their minds. I thought may be Tau Hidayat will get some kind of nice treatment from Shireen but oh well, even he wasn’t spared. The conversations regarding the names of the characters were my favorite, but I particularly loved what Luqman said about Haseena, like it actually seemed like a genuine mistake.

Well Acted & Directed Episode

This episode of Prem Gali was interesting but I really hope after these sad flashbacks, the story moves forward on a lighter note. Joya & Hamza’s chemistry & their bickering was cute. Sohai Ali Abro & Farhan Saeed’s dialogue delivery was superb. Saba Hameed so far is the best part of the drama & her interactions with Hatim/Waseem Abbas are always humorous. So far all the actors fit perfectly in their respective roles. It will be interesting to see where the story is headed. Please share your thoughts about this episode of Prem Gali.

Prem Gali Episode 19 Story Review – Hard To Watch

Ohkay so, I did not enjoy watching this episode of Prem Gali one bit. Almost all the scenes in this episode were irrelevant & didn’t really take the story forward or contribute to it in any way. Things have not only been monotonous but have now become so slow & repetitive that it is nothing short of a task making up my mind to watch Prem Gali.

Unnecessary Coverage Given To Rahat

It is ironic that in a family where every single thing gets blown out of proportion, no one actually found out about what Rahat did. Joya stopped Hamza from telling it to his family, but when she had an outburst, it was surprising that no one even bothered asking Joya what her reason behind such behavior with Rahat was, especially Shireen who always tries to keep Joya in check. All this while, I thought Shireen was the analytical one, she actually wanted to help Joya & would do what it takes to save her from being in an awkward situation, but instead, she too decided to swoop in to create further issues. I thought this entire incident of Rahat going to Hamza’s office would create a shift in the family dynamic where Shireen will put her foot down & save Joya & Hamza but instead, what Rahat did got brushed under the carpet & no one bothered finding out about where she went & what she did. It is understandable that the writer used this scenario to get Hamza fired from this company so that Manzoor could hire him, but it wasn’t even funny or interesting to have served any purpose.

I will be honest I find it bothersome that Rahat gets so much coverage. Yes, her dialogues are at times funny & Shamim Hilali has done a fab job in portraying this character but there has to be a balance. It seems this entire episode was dedicated to her & the viewers were forced to watch her despite not wanting to.

Prem Gali Episode 19 Story Review - Hard To Watch

All of a sudden, the team behind the drama also remembered that there were some other residents in Prem Gali too, so they too got some coverage in this episode but their issues & tracks were irrelevant yet again. Mateen approaching Haseena for Nargis’s younger sister’s proposal for Salman was irrelevant. Tau Hidayat is also being treated as a filler who has nothing better to do.

Coming to the most irritating & cringe part of the episode; the conversation that Shireen, Rahat, Hatim & his father had about Joya & Hamza’s unborn children! Out of them all, Shireen sounded foolish the most because she was least bothered about Joya’s babies, even when Musarrat suggested that Joya might be pregnant, Shireen was actually upset at the news, so for her to be so over-enthusiastic about something that she wants Joya to put on hold makes no sense whatsoever. It is unfortunate that in this entire episode, there was not even a single scene that made me laugh or smile. All that they are showing has been seen pretty much in all the previous episodes, therefore it has lost the charm, to be honest.

I really wish Luqman & Musarrat get settled down quickly so that they too stop obsessing & crying over what Hamza & Joya have done or what they are up to. It is no fun either.

Interesting Precap

The preview of the next episode was thankfully better because Hamza will now take a stand for the new neighbors. However, there’s going to be another awful situation where Shireen will question & doubt Hamza for interacting with Sukhi. I think Prem Gali should end in the next few weeks because this definitely doesn’t happen to be the story that would stay interesting for long. I wish the writer had focused more on other characters than Rahat because she is becoming hard to tolerate. Please share your thoughts about this episode of Prem Gali.

Prem Gali Episode 18 Story Review – Lack of Privacy

Ohkay so, this episode of Prem Gali once again highlighted the issues a newly married couple has to face especially when there’s a lack of privacy in the family dynamic. This is definitely Faiza Iftikhar’s take on showing how a couple is put into an awkward situation because the people around them have a sense of entitlement & fail to realize that there are certain boundaries especially related to privacy that should be respected.

Awkward Situation Faced By Hamza & Joya

This episode once again revolved around the issues both Hamza & Joya had to face because their family members were a bit too emotional & enthusiastic. At times it does look sweet that both Hamza & Joya are being treated as the center of everyone’s universe but then it also becomes quite frustrating for them to deal with all of this, especially when they both long for some time together. Hamza & Joya wanted to watch a movie together but then the rest of the people invited themselves, finding it perfectly alright to not give Hamza & Joya some time off. This entire scenario was amusing but realistically portrayed too because we all have heard of the horror stories of how a newly wedded couple is deprived of basic privacy because the people around them fail to give them space they most certainly need.

It also perfectly highlighted how a couple has to resort to some excuses & lies in order to do what they feel like. In this case, Hamza & Joya also were forced to lie to their family members so that they could spend some time together. It perfectly showed how one thing leads to another and especially in a setting where clear communication is an alien concept, this is the only way left for the couple.

Prem Gali Episode 18 Story Review - Lack of Privacy

In this episode, I did feel for Hamza & Joya & kind of felt annoyed at how Rahat was blowing everything out of proportion. It is nice that she is very much invested in Hamza & Joya but to see her literally creating misunderstandings one after another is not much fun to watch. The funny thing is that everyone else starts believing everything that Rahat comes up with. This time around, even Musarrat couldn’t contain herself by making an assumption.

The few moments that I found interesting were Hamza’s communication with the new neighbors, Shakoor & Sukhi. It seems the rest of the neighborhood will take some time in showing acceptance to them but right now Hamza is being supportive, which is nice. Luqman is also going to play a part in creating issues for Joya because out of all the people, he figured out that Joya was not with Fari.

Not Really Exciting

This episode of Prem Gali was nice. The preview however did not excite me much. It seems Rahat is going to create a lot more trouble for Hamza & eventually he will land himself a job at Manzoor’s company. The next episode seems to be dedicated to Rahat too & to be honest, I hope the focus shifts on others, especially Manzoor. Let’s see what else do they have in store for us. Prem Gali Episode 17 Story Review – Laboratory

Ohkay so, this episode of Prem Gali was strictly alright. The fun elements are still there but the overall vibe of the drama is not fun anymore. Things have slowed down considerably & the fact that the main couple of the show is unable to grab the interest is probably the weakest aspect of the drama. This episode however did add a new dimension to the story with the new residents of Prem Gali. This way, the writer is brilliantly opening up the discussion about how this segment of the society deserves acceptance & courtesy, which was probably the only best thing about this episode for me.

Slow & Stagnant

Hamza & Joya are still pretty much torn between their family members, they are trying their best to be there for each other but it is unfortunate that the rest of the family members are not getting any clue. It still rightfully shows how the concept of giving privacy & respecting certain boundaries around a young & new couple is a concept people don’t really pay heed to. This not only makes the couple irritated but also causes a strain on their relationship. In this scenario too, Hamza & Joya are finding it hard to speak up for themselves but the sad part is, the experienced people around them are treating them as toddlers who are unable to fend for themselves. So far, nothing in Hamza & Joya’s track was new or exciting so that entire chunk of the episode was pretty monotonous & borderline boring!

It seems Manzoor (Javed Sheikh), Joya’s father too is going to make an entry in her life. He is going to hire Hamza for the job & eventually will make his way into their lives, which obviously Shireen will not approve. Does this also mean that Shireen has a blissful future ahead of her? We’ll see. It does seem that at this age, especially after Joya’s marriage, Shireen too has started to feel lonely & has become quite sensitive. This is why she is seen introspecting about her ex-husband & kind of misses him too. At this stage, her emotions are driven by the bitterness & negativity that the separation brought with it but will her husband make it up to her? I am kind of interested to see but I just wish someone speeds up the process.

Prem Gali Episode 17 Story Review - Laboratory

The new tenants found a place in Prem Gali & the best part was that they were struggling to start afresh & lead a normal life, which will not only make them happy but also give them the freedom & empowerment to live life on their own terms. Faiza Iftikhar definitely deserves all the appreciation for starting this conversation & showing the humane side of these people who are often ostracized & treated as outcasts. The way Hamza welcomed them was another beautiful moment of this episode & not just welcome, he sat there to listen to what they had to say. The rest of the residents were just being insensitive because so far they have not really gotten a chance to learn or grow together, but soon enough the residents of Prem Gali will come to terms with them & open their arms for them too. This new addition was definitely heart-warming & I am glad that the actors chose to portray these characters with a lot of subtlety & maturity because there are enough caricaturish characters in the drama as it is.

Some Good Moments

I will be completely honest, the preview of the next episode did not excite me much but I will still tune to it. This is the kind of drama which you can watch mindlessly & enjoy but when it comes to reviewing, there’s hardly much to talk about. I am sure it might change when the story picks up the pace because right now I find it to be a bit too slow & stagnant. The best dialogue of this episode was when Joya called this entire household a laboratory, it’s exactly what it is. She was told to have a child quickly & then the next moment, her own mother told her to give this relationship some time to nurture & grow. Some of these moments definitely make Prem Gali special for sure, another one such moment was when Dada Jaan decided to show Joya his family pictures. The dance that Joya & Hamza had was cute too. Prem Gali Episode 16 Story Review – Confusions & Accusations

Ohkay so, in all honesty, this was probably the first episode of Prem Gali that I had a hard time watching. The first half of the episode did not work for me & the remaining half was tolerable to watch. It is a fact that Prem Gali is the kind of drama where you don’t have to look for logic or take it seriously but when situations get a bit too pushed, it doesn’t really do much to help the viewer. There’s no denying the fact that the dialogues were witty throughout the episode but the characters ended up looking a bit too caricaturish. I am glad by the end of the episode, Shireen, Joya & Hamza took over & took care of the episode as well.

Further Confusions & Accusations

The events that unfolded in this episode were pretty much an extension of what transpired last week. This time around too, none of the family members were taking it slow & they were a bit too emotionally charged about Joya & Hamza’s wedding. As much as it may seem amusing, at times it does seem frustrating that none of them is trying to understand that they need to leave the newlyweds alone. They all are hell-bent on making sure that this marriage works, without even realizing all that they’re doing are making things tough. To be honest, I was relieved after watching the precap of the next episode where Joya ‘finally’ is going to talk about her & Hamza’s likes & dislikes. I do understand that they had to take this much time at least to establish the dynamics of both the families & how they were trying to approach this drastic change in their lives but this episode in my opinion took it a bit too far.

Prem Gali Episode 16 Story Review - Confusions & Accusations

It has been realistically shown that when a couple gets married, they are the center of everyone’s attention & that’s when people find it hard to understand where they have to draw a line. This is exactly what was happening with Joya & Hamza. The reactions & approach of rest of the family members is unreasonable & that has been established in a funny manner but the way Hamza is keeping things from Joya & not being honest adds up to the frustration too. Joya is completely entitled to know each & everything that Hamza is up to, so for him to protect his father’s Peer o Murshid does not really sit well with me. As if Hamza wasn’t keeping enough secrets from Joya that now he had to also lie about the Salami amount from her too. This is obviously going to make him look suspicious & won’t help Joya in any way even when she’d want to develop a bond based on trust with her husband.

I was relieved when Shireen took matters into her hands & settled everything down. Joya’s demand for treating her family treating her husband nicely was also good & pretty much the necessity. It was now made clear that the gift came from Joya’s father & that is why Shireen wasn’t comfortable giving it to her. It will obviously make it to her one way or the other & maybe then we all can expect Javed Sheikh’s official entry into the picture. The neighbors’ reactions were realistic too but Haseena refusing to pursue the proposal for her son because of Joya & Hamza also didn’t really make sense. Haseena was always shown to be a little selfish but maybe after how the entire neighborhood came together during Fari’s wedding made her change & this is why she thought it was the time for her to reciprocate the courtesy too.

Looking Forward To The Next Episode

This episode was strictly alright but yes, the conversations were decent & somewhat funny too. I am definitely excited to see Hamza & Joya taking charge of the situation & instead of being on their own, working together as a team to tackle their family members. I think that would definitely be interesting to see. All the actors have always done a good job but in this episode, I felt they took a bit too far. In this episode, there was a major continuity issue with Saba Hameed wearing one set of clothes in one scene & the other one in the next scene which showed that she was coming from her shop to her home straight away to take care of everything. It seems there are going to be some new characters making an entry too as Haseena’s tenants, I am looking forward to those characters too & hoping they spruce things up a bit too. Prem Gali Episode 15 Story Review – Unsolicited Advices

Ohkay so, although this episode of Prem Gali simply showed the unsolicited advice the newly wedded couples get, it was Faiza Iftikhar’s take on showing how easy it is to create differences between the couple when the simplest of things are overanalyzed. This entire episode was more like a funny spin on how frustrating this entire setting was for both Joya & Hamza where they didn’t even get the time to understand each other but unfortunately, there were so many people around them, ready to play their part in making their marriage work.

The Advices & The Pressures

The very first conversation that Shireen had with Joya was just simple advice which every mother believes in giving it to her daughter, where she tells her to be nice to her husband, do what he likes so that she can please him, which will strengthen their bond. Although all the things Shireen said stemmed from her own fears & insecurities but then, as the episode progressed, it became evident that everyone around Hamza & Joya was trying to tell them all that they themselves couldn’t really do when they were married. In this entire episode, Shireen’s advice seemed far more realistic & decent but yes, it definitely showed how concerned she was & probably the lack of faith she probably has in her daughter because she thinks Joya is going to stuff up.

Rahat & Musarrat weren’t far behind & they too decided to share a few things with Joya, thinking it is going to help her & this is exactly what she needs. In this entire situation, Hamza & Joya have once again taken a backseat & everyone else is trying to unconsciously take the credit for nurturing their relationship, without even realizing that this is exactly what Hamza & Joya do not need at this point!

The confusion faced by Joya was beautifully elaborated by Sohai Ali Abro. She was absolutely adorable as a newly wedded Joya who had no idea what went wrong & why her beloved husband was suddenly behaving like a totally different person. Hamza failed to share anything with anyone but at least, he was trying to get to the crux of ths situation to make it figure out a way. Hamza succeeded in meeting the Peer Fraudia & he further proved Hamza’s point when he demanded a hefty amount to undo his spell!

Prem Gali Episode 15 Story Review - Unsolicited Advices

As much as it was frustrating to see how none of the family members were giving Joya & Hamza a break, it simply showed that all of it was coming from a place of love. The thing is they all are so high on emotions right now, that they really can’t comprehend that their interference is not what Hamza & Joya need. Both the families are putting so much pressure on themselves as well as the newlyweds that it is just creating one misunderstanding after another. However, Hamza’s bad behavior is definitely to be blamed because of which Joya is facing the brunt too. The conversation that Hamza & Hatim had about Farz & Sunnat was hilarious, I loved the way Hamza reminded Hatim of how easily he skips the Sunnat during prayers, therefore he was definitely in no position to speak about.

Another little moment that I liked in this episode was the conversation that Haseena had with her son Salman regarding the finances & how Fari used to make a decent amount of money to help her mother out. These kinds of simple conversations add a lot of realism & reliability to any script. It showed how Haseena was also concerned because her tenants moved to Shireen’s place & her son was not really willing to take any responsibility. Also, it showed how Fari’s marriage has changed the dynamics of Haseena’s family. It was just a very simple conversation that a mother had with her son but it turned out to be probably my only favorite moment of this episode.

A Lot More Drama On The Way

This entire episode of Prem Gali gave coverage to what the family members of Joya & Hamza were feeling. It also showcased the problems they were facing in this new setting as each other’s relatives as well as neighbors. They all have a lot of learning to do especially in regards to how they all should give Hamza & Joya a break, here’s to hoping that it might happen soon. The contribution the neighbors showed regarding the Valima, as well as the first-ever breakfast, was really cute too. Sohai Ali Abro looked absolutely gorgeous throughout the episode, therefore I ignored the thing she does with her lips while delivering her dialogues. Uzma Hassan was absolutely sweet & Saba Hameed was superb. I am definitely looking forward to the solution Hamza’s going to figure out, however the preview suggested things are going to become a lot more intense & serious. Let’s see.
