Navin Waqar is currently starring in the drama serial Chalawa which is based on supernatural events. In Chalawa she is playing the character of a woman whose daughter is blessed with occults. In a recent interview, Navin Waqar shared that she has also encountered a few supernatural things in her real life too.

“Yes, more than once” Navin continued “I am not easily scared and I tell you this because I am not really scared, and if some weird thing happens I am just like okay this is happening now what can I do?” Navin shared a childhood incident and said: “When I was little my Nani’s house was haunted, because she had a mango tree in her house and in that house, someone constantly used to call us by names but when we would go into that room no one used to be there and I would hear my mother calling me and when I used to ask her that Ami are you calling me she denied and many such things used to happen like a door slamming. You know you can feel certain things because every house has its own aura. You walk into a place and you can feel negativity or positivity. At least I believe in these things. You start feeling heavy, you feel like something is not right and that house had many such things. But else than that I encountered many such strange things”

Navin Waqar started her career as an RJ and later worked as VJ before turning to acting. Her debut performance as Sara in Humsafar won hearts all over the world. She has since taken up really diverse roles in her career and always manages to impress. She recently appeared as Mehreen in Ramadan drama Paristan.

Navin Waqar sat with Fuchsia magazine where she revealed that she had to go through a phase of depression. She said that she was not feeling the best when she started yoga and a fitness regime to go through it. She also started gyming, swimming and kick-boxing and exercise made her feel really good.

Actress and VJ Navin Waqar shared her diet and workout routine for people who were asking from her. In her recent Instagram post, she talked about how she manages to stay slim and fit.

She talked about how people have different needs and said, “Everyone has different needs when it comes to working out. My aim is to lower my fat levels. For that I people lift heavy but I’m doing a mix of HITT/Tabata/Circuit training for now. It’s hard but it works. It helps build my stamina and endurance big time. Lifting will come later for me. Its gonna take time because fat loss and weight loss are 2 different things.“

Navin Waqar revealed her diet and wrote, “Now the diet: you can probably tell from my insta stories that I eat a lot so here is what I do: I balance. I count calories. Eat good carbs like brown rice and roasted/steamed veggies. Chicken, fish, eggs and lean meat is a must protein for me coz I don’t do shakes. I snack on blueberries, sugar free/whole wheat cookies, almonds and dark chocolate. I have smoothies once a week. Clear soups with veggies, brown rice and chicken/sea food are filling and yum so I load up on that big time! I make them at home and it’s super easy. Overnight oats are great for breakfast. It’ll keep you fuller and give you energy throughout the day. Again this is what works for me.”

Talking about hard work she said, “I do fall off the wagon coz I love junk food and meetha is my kamzoori, but i dont give up. The most important thing is to have fun! If you cant do gym, get a couple of weights and do it at home. Or walk. The point is to be active and consistent. Remember hard work ALWAYS pays off!”

In the end, she thanked her supporters for cheering her up. “For everyone who has been supporting me and cheering me on, YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST! Thank you! I love you! I’ve had girls telling me I’ve inspired them to hit the gym and work out and that for me is the biggest compliment! To you I say BRAVO! “We can show another aspect of a woman that how important it is for a woman to be educated. She has to raise children. What she is teaching to those children. She is giving them the knowledge of this world. Why can’t we show women in this light? I have a lot of issues”

I have been in the position of chasing people for my own money for months and then I gave it up. Recently, I got a call to pick up a payment which was supposed to be made to me almost one and a half years ago. I forgot about it, I gave it up” she continued “And the sad thing is, it wasn’t like a huge sum but dude when you work and invest hours it’s your “Mehnat ki Kamai” and you don’t want to beg for it. If you are working at a bank or some other place, you don’t have to ask again and again for your salary, you will get your salary on time”

In an interview with Dawn Images, Naveen Waqar revealed that she was approached by Sakina Samo for her upcoming short film, Musafir, which will deal with some tough topics. “The character I’m playing is of a girl who suffers from severe depression and is suicidal. The movie is about life and how people that you least expect can give you hope for a brighter future. I found the script just beautiful when Sakina offered it to me.”

She also went to say that this isn’t her first time working with Sakina Samo. “Before this, I had shot this telefilm with Sakina, which is yet to hit television screens; she’s very creative and gives you a lot of room to play as an actor.”

In Musafir, Naveen Waqar will be sharing the screen with Imran Abbas. We saw them together in HUM’s popular drama serial, Alvida, where Naveen played a supporting character.

According to Brandsynario, Imran Abbas shared some details about this film and his character. “I was in Lahore when I got the offer. I thought that since the shooting will take place in Nathia Gali and Murree, I will get a chance to spend some time over there. I was even more excited with the fact I will be working with Sakina Samo and that too as a director this time. We have worked together in Mera Naseeb before but this was the first time I have experienced her presence as a director. It was wonderful and very positive to work with her.”

He revealed that he is playing the role of a philanthropist. ”He loves nature, he is kind and above all, he is a giver.”

Currently, Naveen Waqar is working on another project, Deewar Bhi Nahe, alongside Ahsan Khan and Emmad Irfani.

Written by Ali Moeen and produced by Real Entertainment, the film is shot in Murree and Nathiagali and will be shown abroad at festivals. It is expected to come out by the end of the year.
