Hum TV is known for producing dramas with heart-touching stories and talented cast. “Dobara” is a 2021 drama serial which will air on Hum TV, directed by Danish Nawaz, written by Sarwat Nazir and produced under the banner of Momina Duraid Productions.

The drama stars Hadiqa Kiani and Bilal Abbas Khan as the main leads. Aside from Hadiqa and Bilal, ‘Dobara’s ensemble cast includes Naumaan Ijaz, Javed Sheikh, Shabir Jan, Nabeel Zuberi, Usama Khan, Sakina Samo, Zoya Nasir and new actress Maheen Siddiqui in her debut role.

The drama’s director Danish Nawaz confirms that ‘Dobara’ is giving out a social message. Hadiqa Kiani is portraying the role of an older woman who seemed to be in love with a much younger Bilal Abbas Khan. It seems like an unconventional story – possibly not the sort of romance that leaves you starry-eyed – but one that isn’t entirely impossible.

Danish further revealing that Bilal and Hadiqa get married in the drama. “There’s nothing cringey about it. It’s a story about relationships and caring. It’s not a heavy duty serious drama either. There are lighter moments and a lot of layers to the story courtesy a very varied cast,” he says. Talking about Javed Sheikh’s character Danish revealed that “Javed Sheikh’s character is very interesting. He adds some humor to the plot.”

Danish Nawaz further added that “I always want the dramas that I direct to be relatable to the audience. I am also very careful that I don’t hurt anyone’s sentiments. I want people to watch my dramas because they find them interesting, not because they get embroiled in controversy. Hopefully, people will like ‘Dobara’.” According to Danish, ‘Dobara’ is slotted to begin airing by mid-October this year.

Sarmad hinted at a film on his Instagram by adding a couple of photos. Although, the name has not been revealed yet, it is said that the film is going to be in Punjabi. Sarmad said, “Being a local of the city Lahore, I can relate to the subject of the film in a purely raw way. The reason the film is going to be in Punjabi is because it is set in Lahore and Punjabi is the only language that will encapsulate the story rooted in this city and its culture. I feel like the aura, the authenticity and the dialect of Lahore have not been embedded on screen yet.”

It will be produced by Kanwal Khoosat, Sarmad’s sister and screenplay is going to be written by Nirmal Bano while the script is Sarmad’s. The film will star Samiya Mumtaz, Eman Suleiman, Ali Kureishi and Arif Hasan.

“What’s Love Got To Do With It?” is a cross-cultural romantic comedy. The First look of the project showcased the aspects of cultural mixing with a man in a traditional kurta and a woman in a leather jacket present inside a desi wedding hall.

The star cast of the project includes superstar Sajal Aly from Pakistan, Lily James from Baby Driver, Oscar-winning Emma Thompson from Beauty and the Beast, British actor Shahzad Latif from Star Terk.

Globally acclaimed Pakistani Singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has sung the soundtrack of the film. He has also recorded two songs and will appear in the film.

The rom-com what’s love got to do with it is about a filmmaker named Zoe, her journey through love. Her experience of swiping on the dating apps and going on bad dates. Malala Yousafzai took everyone by surprise as she announced her wedding. Ever since the news was announced, there has been a lot of curiosity over Asser Malik and his background. Malala’s husband, Asser Malik is the General Manager High Performance for the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). He joined the organization in May 2020, according to his LinkedIn profile. Ace cinematographer who’s done films like Cake, 021 and Jalebi will co-produce the film as well as photograph it.

Mariam Azmi will head the costume department of the film while the production design will be supervised by Zain Khan. Owais Shamsi is the line producer of the film. Durrefishan Saleem has recently appeared in “Haute Talk with Amna Isani” in which she talked in detail about her drama serial Kaisi Teri Khudgarzi, she revealed the hidden facts and stories about the most talked about drama. She also talked about difficulties while portraying Mehek’s character.

Talking about script selection, Durrefishan said, “The director Ahmad Bhatti told me synopsis that the story is inspired from a popular drama, it’s a story of innocent girl, people like such stories, he also told that the guy is violently in love with a girl and she’s showing the resentment, I read first 10 episode and I was foreseeing the criticism also it was executed larger than life that’s why it became bigger from what was written. We shot it last year, last year, I had little knowledge about choosing scripts but I knew what I was stepping in”. Here is what she talked about selection of such a script :

Talking about doing Mehek’s character she said that she had difficulty in portraying a simple girl’s character because she’s different in her real life she’s modern, she doesn’t wear duppattas and Shalwar Qameez. She said that the director trained her properly for Mehek. She said she added the little detailings to the character with the help of her director:

Talking about her difficulty playing Mehek with big co-stars, she said, “Mehek was difficult character because I had to do it with expressions and eyes, I had difficulty doing the scene with Nauman Ijaz in last episode because a monologue with Nauman Ijaz was difficult, his one stare can destroy your skills but he’s chill person, he’s helpful. Well, Nauman Ijaz was cool to work with. Working with Danish was difficult, he’s serious with his work, we used to discuss scenes, I also loved working with Danish, when we did the famous candle light scene, we were quite easy with each other, we did that one scene in a whole day. It was difficult. The director took shots from all sides, it went well. We don’t know the little details about what would look good on screen but our director Ahmad Bhatti was intelligent enough and it turned out perfect.”

Talking about the story and playing such a character in future, Durrefishan Saleem said, “I agree that this is the kind of story which should not be told but let me tell you it was a real story, the producer knew the guy who did that and he died, it wasn’t mentioned anywhere but you can ask the details about it from the director, he might be knowing exactly about it, yes I can say that I won’t do such a drama in future but I can’t regret it because I signed the script which wasn’t by force”

Talking about execution of controversial scenes, she said that the directors, actors and team are bound to perform as the production decides the execution on its own, actor and directors have to follow them. In Kaisi Teri Khudgarzi, the cast knew each and every thing about the scenes and execution and the cast questioned it and changed it as well, like Ateeqa Odho didn’t slap on screen. We used to raise question as well but ended up doing scenes.

Talking about the last scene Durrefishan Saleem revealed that the last scene was shot four days prior to the airing of last episode of Kaisi Teri Khudgarzi. She further said that the last monologue was actually satisfying for her as a person. Here is link:

Hania Aamir is a brilliant Pakistani actor and a rising international star who has been making headlines after her recent meet and greet session which was recently held in Dallas. According to the reports, Hania Aamir left the event within an hour without informing the organizers and fans. The actor also reported that she left the event after the management and crowd misbehaved with her manager Maida Azmat. The audience reported that the actor arrived late at the event and left after thirty-five minutes.

The organizers, who invited Hania recently in the events opened up about the matter. Heavenly Entertainment wrote, “We are not surprised by what Hania Aamir has reported about the event. Previously, we signed her for an event in Canada during which we faced a lot of tantrums by the actor and her manager. She didn’t give us time as per commitment. The actor sat in the car for a longer period of time to purposely delay her arrival on the stage even after getting a huge payment from the organisers”.

It seems that Pakistan may be on the verge of witnessing its biggest crossover. Pakistan Super League (PSL) and hit Turkish TV show Diriliş: Ertuğrul. In an earlier tweet, Peshawer Zalmi head honcho Javed Afridi hinted at the possibility of Engin Altan Düzyatan, the actor who plays the titular role in the show of becoming the team’s brand ambassador. “What if Ertugrul Ghazi joins Peshawar Zalmi as a brand ambassador,” Afridi said.

Esra Bilgic recently shared a picture of the Islamia College Peshawar on her social media account. “The city of flowers”, she wrote while sharing the picture.

Lending more weight to those reports is Javed Afridi, chairman of Peshawar Zalmi, who right after Esra, tweeted the same lines.
