Ayyan Ali came, saw, conquered and fell into a ditch in a very short period of time. Ayyan Ali got arrested in currency smuggling case in 2015 from the Benazir International Airport. She was talking over 500,000 USD without the permission of the State Bank of Pakistan. She was sent to Adiala and was kept there as she went on to attend court hearings.

She later got bailed out of jail and her name was removed from the Exit Control List. She went to Dubai as soon as her name was removed from ECL. She has since then not appeared before the court for more than 50 hearings now. A customs court has now issued non-bailable warrants for Ayyan Ali. Her council’s plea of adjourning the case was dismissed and the court ordered that Ayyan’s presence should be made sure on the 22nd of October.

Ayyan has been missing from the media scene since the case and with the way this case is not closing anytime soon, she might stay away from her career for even longer.

Will Ayyan come back and face the case in front of the justice system of Pakistan when she has clearly been called more than 50 times now? Doesn’t seem likely!

Sarmad Khoosat has established himself as a huge package of talent. Be it direction or acting, Sarmad has always touched new heights. He has made a name for himself and became everyone’s favourite director with Humsafar. Aakhri Station showed more of his prowess in the field of direction. With countless other projects, Sarmad once again made history when he starred in and directed Manto. It was intense and a total artistic masterpiece.

Sarmad has announced that he is ready with two other films. One of the films is written by NCA student Nirmal Bano. It is a Punjabi film. All the work from casting to script writing is done and the shooting for the film will begin soon.

The second film will be written by Sarmad himself. He is working on it and the final product is not ready yet but it will be soon ready and the shooting for it will start next year.

Sohai will be playing the role of an acid attack survivor and the drama will hold a strong message. Produced by Next Level Entertainment, the drama titled Surkh Chandni will air on ARY and has a spectacular cast of Sohai Ali Abro, Sami Khan, Asad Siddiqui, Mansha Pasha and Hassan Ahmed. Surkh Chandni is written by Asma Nabeel and will be directed by Shahid Shafaat.

Waseem Badami is a name that needs no introduction at all. Waseem initially did news anchoring for quite some time and that too in the night shift. Nausheen Shah a well known name that has been associated with the Showbiz industry especially the TV sector for years now. She had started her career with modeling then she started doing TV commercials along with modeling and later she started doing TV serials and has been doing them ever since.

Nausheen recently came on Good Morning Pakistan hosted by Nida Yasir for the promotions of her upcoming serial “Khud Parast”. Nida asked her whether she has ever got any comments in real life where people just assume her in the character and start saying things like you are not a good bahu or how can you be so manipulative to which Nausheen shared an incident. She narrated that once she was at the wedding of her friend and an elderly women said to her that she looks more good on screen.

Nausheen said that I couldn’t understand what she meant. Whether she wanted to say that you look more good in reality rather than on screen and it came out wrong but she was quite aged so Nausheen just said Thank You. That for her was the most interesting yet weird comment that she had ever gotten in life because mostly people say that she looks very young in comparison to her looks on screen.

She further added that now that she has recovered from cancer people just don’t let it go. Asma shared said that she did Luddi in Nida Yasir’s show and people being the moral police that they are said that “sharam nahi aati cancer k baad b kesy naach rahi hai”.

May be we should try give celebrities the freedom of choice in their lives. They can do anything and everything they wish and their being a celebrity doesn’t make them a public property and It should not take away their right to lead their personal lives however they want.

Pakistani Cinema’s growth had stopped altogether but then the cinema was revived and now it’s is growing with steady steps. Every year we get to see good movies. This year it was “Load Wedding”, “Jawani Phir Nahi Aani 2”, “Teefa In Trouble” and “Parwaz Hai Junoon”. All these movies did comparatively great on box office considering the fact that cinema is still in its growth and development phase.

Yesterday Fawad Chaudhary, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Pakistan announced on twitter that “Parwaz Hai Junoon” is going to be screened commercially in Saudi Arabia. He tweeted, “Pakistani Movie “Parwaz hai Junoon” ll be the first Pak commercial movie to be screened in #SaudiArabia on 11th October.

He further shared that more films will be screened in the coming months not just in one country but all around the world. He said, “more films and more screenings around the world in coming months InshAllah”.

Although Parchi was also released in Saudi Arabia earlier this year but it was screened privately. Parwaaz Hai Junoon will be the first one to have the commercial screening.

A few months back actress Saba Qamar and Bilal Abbas Khan had a very friendly exchange on Instagram. The superstar Saba Qamar said that she loved Bilal Abbas’s acting in O Rangreza and will love to work with him sometime. Bilal was overwhelmed by this and thanked Saba as he went on to say that he is a huge fan of the actress.

This is finally happening as the duo is all set to pair up for a new drama Cheekh. Mental health has become a huge topic world over. The stresses at every level have skyrocketed and many times people realize that someone has been gone under the bridge too far when it is too late. The academic challenges, increasing fee, and a lot many factors have made students extremely vulnerable.

One such case has happened in Faisalabad’s Institute Of Engineering and Fertilizer Research when a student took his own life by shooting himself. A lecturer at the University Engineer Rizwan Shah discovered the student when he took his own life. He called 1122 who said that it is not their case and call 15. The lecturer called 15 three times and they did not pick up the phone. He finally managed to get a van and took the student to a hospital but it was too late. The student Saifullah was dead and he left a heartbreaking suicide note. He asked his parents and teachers for forgiveness and asked the doctors not to save him.

Students of the university are protesting and asking for justice for Saifullah. According to them, the story is not that simple. Saifullah committed suicide because he failed in the exams and a particular teacher failed him three times. The university has not issued any statement yet so things are not clear.

A precious life was lost to increasing academic pressures. Its high time we spread awareness about mental health.

The film industry is growing by leaps and bounds and this has given filmmakers the courage to make more films. Pakistani films which started from scratch a few years back are now doing business in crores. Recently three movies, Jawani Phir Nahi Ani 2, Parwaaz Hai Junoon and Load Wedding were released and they all did smashing business at the box office.

Among the filmmakers who started to take risks in the very initial stages of industry development, Yasir Nawaz is one who made the comedy Wrong No. starring Danish Taimoor and Sohai Ali Abro in the lead roles. The film went on to become a dark horse and did great at the box office. The actor/director then made Mehrunnisa V Lub U which also was a hit. He is now gearing up for another film and it is Wrong No’s sequel. The film will have Sami Khan and Neelum Muneer in the lead roles. This will be Neelum’s second film after Chupan Chupai. She is currently working with Yair Nawaz in Dil Mom Ka Diya and Sami has worked with him in the hit Khudgarz.

The script is done and the film’s shoot will start later this year. Wrong No. will release in 2019 after Eid.

Hania Aamir is an actress who has done many big projects in a short period of time. She is one of the most successful actresses in Pakistan right now. Debuting through Janaan, Hania went along to do projects like Parwaaz Hai Junoon, Na Maloom Afraad 2, Titli and the recently concluded Visaal.
