Pamaal is a drama that has stirred a lot of debate in the audience. For the first time, a drama is showing a husband who is not a perpetrator of domestic abuse but he is controlling to the extreme. He controls his wife’s clothing choices, her friends, if she can go out or not and even their children’s names and needs. He, however, bought her a separate house and gives her financial security, thus no one ever questions him.

Usman Mukhtar while talking about drama serial Hum Kahan Ke Sachay Thay, mentioned that “I’m generally a little picky with my scripts, especially after Sabaat. When I received the script of Hum Kahan Ke Sachay Thay, I initially refused to be a part of it.”

“When I read the script and the novel I thought that the character of Aswad was too toxic. I wanted to do something different this time. Then later on we had a conversation with the team and we changed many things in Aswad’s character. I refused to portray a violent character. The team cooperated with me and changed what I requested them to change in script”, added Usman.

He further said that “Now we’re getting a massive response on Hum Kahan Ke Sachay Thay. People are loving the storyline and everything. Meanwhile, I’m also receiving threatening messages that what you are doing to Mehreen is totally wrong, you’ll be destroyed. I used tell them that it’s just a character and drama.”

Pakistani cinema has been facing a stalemate after a big bang of hits in the form of London Nahi Jaunga, Quaid e Azam Zindabad and the legendary run of The Legend of Maula Jatt. Films coming out are mostly romcom or some very gritty stories with a limited audience but looks like the new hit is ready to hit the screens and it is an adaptation of the old Urdu story series Umro Ayyar.

The upcoming film Umro Ayyar- A New Beginning starring Sanam Saeed, Usman Mukhtar, Ali Kazmi, Faran Tahir, Sana Fakhar and Hamza Ai Abbasi in a special cameo will be hitting the screens soon and the first teaser is out now. The posters for the film have already been creating a lot of buzz:

Usman Mukhtar is a brilliant and comparatively a new Pakistani actor who has become popular in girls after his two back to back hit dramas “Anaa” and “Sabaat” for Hum TV. He has gathered a lot of fans from both the dramas. The actor’s reel life couple with Naimal Khan made waves and fans loved it. Fans loved his performance in Hum Kahan Ke Sachay Thay as well but his character is thoroughly under severe public criticism.

Lately, the actor is part of another big project Sinf E Aahan. He expressed his gratitude and joy on becoming part of such a big project because it’s a female centric project as per Usman.

Recently, he talked about his colleague and co-star Sajal Ali as a brilliant performer. Talking about Sajal’s performance he said, “Sajal Aly is an amazing performer, I always say this, she is so brilliant that one gets stunned with her acting, acting is all about reactions and you automatically respond so well, it is always great working with Sajal, and even kubra is good but I’m acting with Sajal for the first time”.

TV series “Meray Dost Meray Yaar” launched in 2019 and premiered on Geo Entertainment. Featuring Asim Azhar, Syra Yousuf and Haroon Shahid, the series ran on YouTube as well. A second edition was in the works for quite some time. With an ensemble cast, “Meray Dost Meray Yaar 2″ launched earlier this week amidst a star-studded event. The cast includes Asim Azhar, Hania Amir, Ali Hamza, Usama Khan, Mariyam Nafees, Hamzah Tariq Jamil and Asad Siddiqui. They are certainly a treat to watch together on screen.

Recently Fuchsia Magazine had a little chat with two of the stars from “Meray Dost Meray Yaar2”, Usman Khan and Mariyam Nafees.

Usman and Mariyam talked about the series. Answering to the question that why they selected these roles which are given to them in series they revealed, It’s a different kind of story and is close to reality.

The series is directed by Mehreen Jabbar.  It’s written beautifully, directed beautifully, the music is amazing and so is the cast, says Mariyam Nafees.

Furthermore, Mariyam added that “My character is a mast malang type of girl, wearing Afghan jewelry and stuff like that”. Usman’s character is based on a cool boy, who is dressed in all black.

Mariyam and Usman are not a part of music group in the series. The triangle is between Mariyam, Asim Azhar and Hania Amir. Usman is Mariyam’s best friend and a cousin of Asim. 

“Meray Dost Meray Yaar”, the title song of the series is favorite of Usman and Mariyam among the other songs. 

At the end they mentioned that it was a lot of  fun working with Asim and Hania, we had a great time together.

The latest teaser of Baaghi is out with a surprise for Usman Khalid Butt’s fans because the serial includes him as the second protagonist, who happens to be in love with Saba ( Qandeel). His role in the serial makes us dwell deeper into the love life of Qandeel and makes us discover the ordeals she went through in order to achieve her dreams.

The most anticipated drama has been in news since a while and the teasers are captivating enough to have us glued to our TV screens once the drama is out. The latest teaser shows a conversation between Saba and Usman Khalid Butt in which they discuss their love life and the aftereffects of their union.

Reassuring Qandeel of his love, Usman tells her that he does not care about her past or about her previous marriage and the kids she has. He assures her that he does not even care about her Facebook videos because he is madly in love with her. Definitely adds a new twist in the story!

Qandeel, on the other hand, is determined not to accept his proposals because she seems afraid that the class divide might prove to be a hurdle in their love life and that her past will haunt her forever. Saba’s refusal and Usman’s determination, adds to the suspense the serial holds within and we can’t wait to get a better look at it.

What excites the fans more is that this drama will be depicting the positive aspects of her personality and not just the negative ones and this will eventually give us a better insight to Qandeel Baloch’s real life.

Usman Javed is an actor who got noticed for playing the menacing Miral in Jhok Sarkar. He was able to overshadow so many senior actors with his performance and he has since been a part of several projects. He will be appearing soon in Jo Bachein Hain Sang Samait Lo and right now he is playing Kami in Tan Man Neel o Neel.

Usman Javed shared that he actually did his first role in Yakeen Ka Safar where he just walked behind Shaz Khan’s character and his 4 dialogues were also cut out.
