Meray Pass Tum Ho on ARY Digital has created quite a hype with its controversial story line and excellent portrayal of characters by the lead cast. However, ever since Humayun Saeed let it known that the story of the drama had been based on reality, people have been trying to guess who the real life Danish could have been.
Recently, it was Rasikh Ismail, who came into the limelight, when people thought he had been the inspiration behind Danish’s character and the story of Meray Pass Tum Ho had been based on his true life.
However, that is not the case. The man, himself, has come forward to clear all confusions related to the ‘controversy’ and set things straight, once and for all.
Co founder and c0-owner of PH Solutions and Koel Cafe, Rasikh Ismail clearly stated that no he wasn’t the real guy who had inspired the story of Meray Pass Tum Ho. He even confessed that Khalil ur Rehman Qamar, the writer didn’t know him at all.
Rasikh shared how he could relate with the story of Meray Pass Tum Ho but that didn’t mean that the writer had sat with him to write down his story. He had learnt a few lessons in life and he could relate them to whatever Danish was going through.
Rasikh also added how it all started when he shared a dialogue on social media and stated how it could have been him. He now confesses how hundreds of men and women both reach out to him on daily basis, men for advise and women because they collectively feel bad for him.
Rasikh shares now he intends to help people via his social media platform, addressing their concerns and helping them go through the trauma that they have endured.
Talking about the reason Meray Pass Tum Ho had become a hype, the entrepreneur shared that he felt that since a “a man had been shown as a victim for the first time, and Humayun’s portrayal of the character has been amazing,” men could relate to the drama feeling that they finally had a voice on TV too.
As a viewer, Rasikh Ismail, shared that his prediction of the drama would be how Mehwish would want to come back and suffer for it. While Danish would not let her do it.
Ahad Raza Mir is an emerging talent in Pakistan. He is an actor, producer, singer, and writer. He made an appearance on-screen with his performance in romantic drama Yaqeen Ka Safar. His performance got him Lux Style Award for Best Actor and Hum Award for Best Actor.
He also made an appearance in Coke Studio season 11 and sung the famous song Ko Ko Korina.
Ahad Raza Mir praised the real heroes of Pakistan. He wrote, “The real stars of Pakistan. I have never met such focused, hardworking and tough young men in my life. Thank you for the amazing journey and for welcoming me into the platoon. OBAIDA COMPANY!”
He also missed his fellow actor from Ehd-e-Wafa and wrote, “Gulzaar is missing because he was practicing for his saluting test.”
This was another interesting episode of Ehd-e-Wafa, the story is moving forward smoothly with all the boys being given equal screen time. All the tracks have finally taken off which makes Ehd-e-Wafa a drama which offers a little bit of everything; suspense, romance and comedy. In this episode, the background score was used effectively and some of the developments were completely unexpected. Shariq’s track is getting more serious with every passing episode and Shehryar continues to be one of the most likable characters in the play. Dua and Saad’s romantic scenes in this episode were cute and comic. Gulzar and Saad’s friendship is heart-warming . Shahzain is back to being his normal self! Shehryar helped him see things from a different perspective and he was back to being his old self which made me wonder why the negative side of his personality was shown in so many episodes. It was unnecessary to give so much screen time to his ‘evil’ side if things were eventually going to go in this direction. Looking forward to the boys being a ‘gang’.
Important Developments
Tonight’s episode of Ehd-e-Wafa opened with Shehryar making a trip to Shahzain’s haveli so that he could talk to him face-to-face. Ahmed Ali Akbar is extremely likable as Shehryar. Although the character itself is a pleasant one but Ahmed Ali Akbar’s performance definitely adds to the appeal. It took Shehryar only a few minutes to change Shahzain’s perspective, which was definitely a relief and something which made it quite clear that he was after all only angry! Shehryar said everything which the viewers had been thinking and talking about all these weeks. The change in Shahzain’s personality and the dark side of his character was just as difficult for Shehryar to accept as it was for the viewers! Looks like Shahzain’s track is going to take a completely different turn from here on. Osman Khalid Butt’s acting left a lot to be desired even tonight. Now that Shahzain is ‘over’ Dua, he will focus more on Raani which will give viewers few light hearted scenes in the upcoming episodes. Raani is already keen on meeting Shahzain since she likes him a lot. Zara Noor Abbas owns her character and her scenes are always enjoyable.
Shariq’s track tonight took a serious turn and some of the developments were surprising. I am sure I am not the only one who thought that Shariq was finally at the right place where he would get his big break but then the owner of the channel did something which showed that he too wanted to protect the criminal. This entire development was frustrating to watch and I couldn’t help but wonder what Jajji was going to do to Shariq after this. It was however good to see Shariq’s resilience and his determination. All of these traits went well with his age and the way Wahaj Ali translated this character on screen made it easier to connect to him.
Ramsha seems like a fun and easy going young lady who does not quite understand that her channel’s owner is backing the criminal she wants should be in prison. Ramsha and Shariq’s scenes were interesting, both of them have tons of potential and energy, I really hope that this track is handled well and we see both of them working together perhaps independently. Hajra Yamin is a phenomenal actress and her scenes were a treat to watch.
Gulzar and Saad’s scenes at the PMA were sweet and funny as usual. Ahad Raza Mir and Adnan Samad Khan’s on-screen chemistry makes this bromance more believable. Some of their dialogues were hilarious and the situations were fun to watch as well. I would have liked to see Saad telling Gulzar about the bhabhi but that scene ended too quickly. It was good to hear that Gulzar finally passed and got the holiday he desperately wanted. Both these actors have been performing really well. Ahad Raza Mir’s acting in some of the scenes was exceptional, especially his expressions were on point.
Final Remarks
It would have been good if the viewers were shown at least one scene covering Saad’s interaction with his father while he was home. The main focus of this visit seemed to be Dua and Saad’s friends, the family was almost missing from it which was rather off. The first telephonic conversation between Dua and Saad was well written and acted out, an enjoyable scene to start the episode with.
Tonight’s episode of Ehd-e-Wafa had a little bit of everything which made it an entertaining one, overall. These latest episodes have given me hope that this drama will get more interesting as the story moves forward.
The preview of the next episode was quite interesting. Shariq’s track is keeping me on the edge and Shahzain and Shehryar’s love story will start next week.

Ohkay so, this episode of Alif was simply beautiful & absolutely sweet. Alif happens to be one such drama which forces you to think about spirituality & all of it being conveyed with so much effortlessness. Brilliant direction along with fully dynamic & complete characters make Alif a beautiful & unique drama. Haseeb Hassan deserves full credit for not only directing Alif in such a unique manner but also guiding the actors to showcase their acting skills because their powerful performances leave an impact & long-lasting impression on your mind even after the episodes have ended. Alif is truly a masterpiece & I can not wait to see more of it.
A Walk Down The Memory Lane:
This entire episode was dedicated to Momin & Abdul Allah. Momin did spend time with his grandfather when he was a child & he still remembers each & everything vividly. It was beautiful to see how every single time Momin felt shocked when he saw that Abdul Alla remembered minute details about those days that they spent together & also that he knew Momin so well. Momin obviously lied that he had come to see the location, whereas he only came to Abdul Alla because he wanted to run away from all the negativity that had overtaken his professional life & was draining him personally as well. Momin never ever imagined that just by walking into Abdul Alla’s place, he will be taken back to his childhood every step of the way, be it the conversations related to calligraphy or Momin’s own artwork displayed by his grandfather as prized possession on the wall.
Momin learned something new this time. As much as he enjoyed listening about his father Taha, he got to know that Abdul Alla was never in favor of his marriage to Husn e Jahan. Taha was an artist, a spiritually blessed soul who was an ideal son & a source of pride for Abdul Alla. The way Abdul Alla described his personality was simply beautiful, it was like I learned about him enough to feel as if I know him now. Another thing I loved noticing during Abdul Alla & Momin’s interactions was that they both were artists, but were on absolutely different spectrum of art. Their entire family is of artists, Abdul Alla, Taha, Husn e Jahan & now Momin. No wonder why Abdul Alla feels a little disheartened seeing Momin & the path that he has chosen for himself because someone so in touch with spirituality & who wanted to see his offspring on the similar path too must have actually found it hard to accept that his only son decided to get married to a woman who was desired by so many men. I have absolutely loved how Abdul Alla has never once said anything against Husn e Jahan, in fact he also told Qalb e Momin that his mother was a very good human being, obviously the way he saw Husn e Jahan in such a miserable state because of Taha, it must have changed his mind about her. Another thing which is important to note is how Abdul Alla has never once judged Momin for his choices, yes he states what he feels is right & talks about all the things that are wrong, but he never once makes Momin feel uncomfortable. Yes, it is the truth which irks Momin but then even he knows that whatever Abdul Alla says is absolutely right, therefore he can not let his words escape his mind, even if he wants to.
Neha made a huge deal about Momin not working with the writer Akhtar, but then again, it was obvious that she was doing all of this because of an ulterior motive. Akhtar was just a pawn & the mastermind was Neha. Neha did hit the bullseye because this chaos has only brought heaps of publicity & profits her way. Momin actually is hurt & this is something that Neha will never be able to understand. Momin must’ve loved her but for him, this is another unbearable thought that Neha could cheat him, someone as famous, as popular, as successful & as supposedly complete as Momin. This is the bruise on Momin’s ego & this is why he is unable to deal with it.
All of Momin’s interactions, be it the ones that he had with Abdul Alla in his childhood, or the ones that he was having now were simply beautiful & heart-touching. He was getting to learn so much but he obviously was not in the right headspace. Momin did end up admitting that he was looking for ‘peace’ around him but then again, Abdul Alla being the truthful person that he is, could not help but remind Momin that the path he is walking upon is definitely not going to bring him the peace that he is after. I absolutely love how Abdul Alla has this confidence in Momin that he is going to come back to his roots, he is going to come back to calligraphy, he is going to do what his father & forefathers used to do & have done all their lives. It is absolutely beautiful seeing the kind of confidence & faith he has in Momin. Abdul Alla knows that Momin has lost his direction for now & although he is quite eager to see him coming back, he is ready to wait. How beautifully Umera Ahmed has shown a character like Abdul Alla who knows how to entice & invite people back to the right path, without being judgmental, without holding anything against them. Simply beautiful!
Momina got to meet Faisal & now her mother was keen to get her married to him. Momina has kind of lost that hope because she knows she does not have the time to get married because she has to deal with the loans first. Obviously her mother doesn’t know & she being a mother thinks everything is smooth & easy for Momina but the reality is different. Faisal has obviously come back with the intention of rekindling an old affair but he is selfish. He got engaged, which shows that Momina was never a priority & neither did he have the courage to take a stand for her. Faisal expects a lot from Momina & this is something that Momina is aware of that she can never fulfill his expectations. This is the reason why Momina was numb & didn’t show any signs of happiness that Faisal & her mother spoke about the marriage. Momina did go back to work but it was obvious that she has lost that passion, the determination & the drive because now she has no other motivation than just to simply earn money & fix the financial crisis her family is faced with.
Closing Thoughts – Absolutely Sweet & Meaningful:
This episode of Alif was absolutely sweet. I must thank Pehlaaj Hussain for bringing so much sweetness to this drama, all of his scenes only bring a smile to my face & the innocence with which he has portrayed the character of Qalb e Momin is commendable. Hamza Ali Abbasi is right in his element as Momin, every single expression, minutest ones are so perfectly portrayed by him which allow us to understand all the things that are running through Momin’s mind. Manzar Sehbai is the life of his drama, his body language, his dialogue delivery, his voice, everything is simply perfect as Abdul Alla. Sajal Aly is a gifted actor for sure. Sadaf Kanwal has surely done a great job too, yes, in the initial episodes I was not too convinced & still feel her dialogue delivery at times is off but overall her performance as selfish & mean Neha is worthy of appreciation.I absolutely loved watching this episode of Alif, feel that they have created is simply magical, every single episode of Alif just takes you somewhere, love it. Oh yes, can we just take a moment to appreciate the gorgeous Islamic artwork & calligraphy that they have showcased in this drama, I could not stop looking at each & every piece in awe, this is the kind of Islamic artwork that I personally love so it served as such a visual treat, perfect choice I must say. Another beautiful aspect of Alif is that all the conversations, despite being meaningful are conveyed in such easy words & the chemistry between the characters is always perfect because it actually leaves an impression & strikes a chord. Well done Team Alif. Please share your thoughts about this episode of Alif.
Keep Supporting,
Cheers, Zahra Mirza.
PS: Team Ishq Zahe Naseeb, please take a few pointers from Team Alif on how the OST should be used to add depth & impact in any given scene.
Tonight’s episode of Mere Pass Tum Ho for the most part was convincing and this was definitely another interesting episode of a drama which continues to be engaging. This was the first episode in which Ayeza Khan completely stole the show with her brilliant performance. Ayeza Khan’s body language and expressions throughout covered her confidence as well as her insecurities perfectly well on screen. She is definitely not the same person she was before, Mehwish seemed to be more in control and interestingly enough looked a lot like Shahwar today! Having said that there were moments when she was seriously disturbed when things were not in her control. Spending 3 months with a man who is used to having his own way has molded Mehwish’s personality. At the same time the changes in Danish’s character were subtly visible too. Hania’s character tonight was much more likable. Apart from the confusion surrounding the mobiles in this episode and a timeline which continues to confuse, Mere Pass Tum Ho never fails to impress. The director Nadeem Baig deserves an award for paying great attention to detail and the camerawork in this drama has been beyond amazing.
Hania and Danish
Hania got to know a lot about Danish by reading her father’s diary and also because of the phone calls. While it was believable that Hania did not immediately realize that this wasn’t her father’s phone, it was hard to believe that Danish made a phone call without realizing that he wasn’t using his own phone. Mehwish’s chance telephonic conversation with Hania was the perfect way to introduce these characters to each other. This introduction was especially apt considering that Hania was also Rumi’s teacher and these two were bound to interact later on too. Hania was much more likable tonight and her conversation with Danish was covered convincingly. There were some light moments and emotional ones but when Hania commented on Mehwish, Danish completely ignored her comment. I am glad Danish did not open up and decided not to respond since he has never talked to anyone except Mateen sb about Mehwish or his personal life. This conversation showed how close Hania was to Rumi and after reading her father’s diary she was more keen than ever to help Rumi adjust in school. The chai comment was an emotional addition to this scene.
Hania comes across as a sensitive and intelligent young lady who is not afraid of speaking her mind. Apart from Mateen sb’s daughters, Danish is the only person most affected by his demise. Danish’s state of mind reminded me of the scenes in the first few episodes when he had just realized that Shahwar was taking interest in Mehwish. The deal of the apartment was slightly delayed because of this loss and therefore it remains to be seen how this plans goes forward from here on. Hira Mani’s dialogue delivery especially when she was talking to Danish was quite impressive. Humayun Saeed looked like someone who was going through hell and his acting was right on point, like always.
A whole month has passed since Danish met Rumi although it surely didn’t seem like it. The timeline in this drama has been confusing right from the beginning therefore sometimes it is difficult to relate to this time lapse.
Shahwar and Mehwish
Shahwar and Mehwish’s scenes were quite meaningful tonight. These scenes made it clear what Shahwar expected from Mehwish. The writer did a great job of utilizing each one of these scenes to show a different side of Shahwar’s personality. On the other hand he told Mehwish that she did not need to ask him before doing anything she wanted to do and on the other hand he told her he wanted her undivided attention. Shahwar is still as ‘fascinated’ by Mehwish as he was the first time he met her but he has no intention of marrying her. His dialogues tonight made it quite clear that Mehwish was his ‘mehbooba’ and he wanted things to stay that way. This obviously means that she will never be his wife and he won’t allow her to be Rumi’s mother. Adnan Siddiqui once again gave an outstanding performance throughout.
Mehwish and Shahwar’s first conversation on the breakfast table had some meaningful dialogues too. Mehwish actually defended Danish and assured Shahwar that he would never turn her son against her – this was really interesting! Shahwar did not get ‘jealous’ when he heard that, he found Mehwish’s remarks amusing and did not even stop Mehwish from meeting Danish, a development which showed he wasn’t the least bit insecure! It was funny hearing Shahwar call Danish ‘2 takay ke log’. Mehwish never asked Danish before stepping out of the house and whenever he tried to control her she used to get really annoyed but tonight she was continuously seen seeking Shahwar’s approval.
The scene covering the stock exchange rates was interesting and it made me wonder if Danish will take advantage of this opportunity. Although it is quite early for anything like that but you never know! The preview of the next episode suggested that Danish might be in a bargaining position after all. I absolutely loved Mehwish’s meeting with the principal, it was written and executed so realistically. Mehwish’s expressions when the principal refused to give her the permission to take Rumi with her showed just how offended she felt knowing she needed Danish’s permission. The guard knew perfectly well that Mehwish was waiting for Danish in the car yet he told Monty that it was some lady, this was one conversation which was difficult to relate to.
Final Remarks
Tonight’s episode of Mere Pass Tum Ho was definitely engaging and well-put-together. The performances never fail to impress since every actor completely owns the character he or she is playing. Nadeem Baig’s direction has been impeccable and Khalil-ur-Rehman’s script continues to be interesting. The preview of the next episode suggested that Rumi will push his father to be strong – looking forward to that!
I am wondering if Anoushey Abbasi will be playing Mehwish’s sister’s role!

Spending too much time watching cartoons or movies can cause fatigue, dry eyes and vision problems in both adults and kids. Although adults know when to stop, the same can’t be said for kids. So here’s a guide for you to help reduce screen time for kids:
You should know what your kids are watching
You must know about what is on the internet and what your kids are watching. Nowadays, kids are so much more tech-savy than adults. Funny enough, they learn to use mobile phones much more quicker than they learn new words. As an adult, you should be well informed about the latest technological advancements, games, applications and videos which are circulating around.
Television is another medium which you must monitor and control in accordance to setting an appropriate screen time for kids. This will make sure your children do not watch anything inappropriate for their age.
Simultaneously, install apps on your mobiles or tablets which will block harmful sites and materials which are not suitable for kids to scroll or watch. Once you’re done with this, kids won’t be spending much time glued to the screen.
Kids learn from elders so practice what you preach
Kids learn from adults so practice what you preach. Limit your own screen time so your kids won’t follow suit. Try not to scroll through your mobile in front of the kids or watch movies and such while they are asleep. Try spending more time with the kids doing useful activities such as reading books, baking, etc. This way you will be setting a good example for the kids.
Set zones with no technology
Kids start crying and whining and throwing tantrums when they need something but you must be adamant when you decide to cut their screen time. Tell them when and where they can get screen time and stick to it. For example, no screen time during meal times, etc.
Instead try and have constructive conversations with them such as asking them about school or wanting to do an activity with them.
Talk about taboos
Kids can be confused as to why parents are limiting their screen time. You need to talk to them and tell them why you’re doing so. Instead of letting kids think you’re being strict or controlling towards them, tell them the harmful effects of too much screen time.
Manage wisely
Screen time is meant to be a privilege for kids. Tell your children that when they do something good, they would be offered screen time and vice versa if they fail in a test, the screen time would be taken away.
Make schedules
It is important to make schedules to do activities which would take children off screen time. Get them to play sports, read or write stories or do fun activities. When they start getting interested in other activities, they would automatically get away from screen time and move to doing the activities.

One of the most tedious jobs is to look for a nice, quiet and homely place to live in. One that satisfies all your basic needs. Before you decide to jump into moving in a new place, here’s a guide of things to check for when moving in an apartment complex:
The cleanliness of the area
When you’ve decided to move into any area or apartment building, you need to make sure the authorities take cleanliness issues seriously. These include everything from the waste bin area to basic wastage not thrown around here and there to water tank maintenance, etc. Lack of cleanliness is perhaps one of the biggest things that fail a home inspection.
The parking space in the area
You surely need a good parking space when moving into any apartment complex. Do a quick check on the designated parking space and whether it is well lit and has any surveillance.
The security in the area
Security is an important factor when moving into an apartment complex. You need to check if the complex authorities are taking measures to protect the building against robberies or theft. Do a quick check if there are any cameras for surveillance or better yet if the community is gated with security guards who keep a check on who is coming and going. You can also ask around people who already live there if the place is safe or not.
The water and gas supply in the area
One of the most important aspects when deciding to move into an apartment complex is having uninterrupted water and gas supply. For this purpose, you’ll need to ask your landlord if these amenities are available round the clock or what the timings are when these are available so you don’t face any inconvenience. You surely don’t want to be standing in the kitchen with no gas to cook or in the bathroom with no water for shower.
The exterior outlook of the area
Another important aspect to note is the exterior outlook of the building. If the building has cracks or crumbling walls, it could be a serious problem. This might be due to water damage or any calamity. Ask the authorities when they would fix it, not only can it pose problems to the buildings structure but also not look aesthetically pleasing.
The stairs/elevators of the area
If you’ve got children or elderly, you definitely need to check if the stairs have railings and handles. Furthermore, you need to check if they’re sturdy or not. If the building is a few floors, check if it has a working elevator or not and if it functions properly. All these things matter a lot when moving into an apartment complex.

Your little baby is finally turning one and you can’t decide how to spend this amazing day. Well worry not, here’s a guide to planning your kids first birthday party:
Decide the guest list
First and foremost, you need to decide who all you’re going to invite. Is it going to be a big gathering or a small one? Write down all your friends and family members names and count the number of people who will be invited so you can decide on the venue next.
Decide on the timings and date
Keep in mind not to keep the event on a weekday as obviously it is a working day and you don’t want to create a nuisance for yourself or your guests. Secondly, decide on the time you will be holding the event. You need to keep the time in accordance to your 1 year olds sleeping pattern. Obviously you don’t want your little one to be sleeping during the event. Finally, keep the party short that is an hour or two as max as you don’t want the kids to get cranky or tired.
Decide and book a venue
Decide on whether you will have the party at home or outside in a restaurant or a hall. Keeping in mind that it is your childs big day, even you would want to relax and enjoy, so it would be better to have the party outside. There are a lot of options to book at halls which offer scrumptious food in their package as well.
Decide on a birthday theme
Is it a baby girl or a baby boy? Keeping in mind your childs gender, you can decide a theme for the birthday bash. Baby shark is a popular unisex theme to go with. Little girls usually enjoy Disney themes while boys enjoy car themed birthdays. There are quite a few options for event planning services who would do the job for. Subsequently, if your gathering isn’t that big, you can pinterest a few ideas and do the job yourself with the help of family members.
Order the cake
Apart from the decor, the cake is the main star and attraction of the first birthday. Choose a cake in accordance with the theme and flavors which are enjoyed by almost everyone.
Decide on the menu
If the birthday is in the evening, keep finger food and tea and other snacks to munch on. Additionally, you can keep proper meals if the birthday is around dinner time like chowmein, chinese and such.
Book a photographer
You sure don’t want to spend time clicking pictures or making videos yourself, so hire a photographer for that purpose. You can find great deals with photographers you would do the job for you.
Decide on birthday activities for all
A birthday is for not just the birthday boy or girl but for all the kids present to enjoy. Schedule games and activities like musical chairs, pass the parcel and pinata hitting for all to have fun and enjoy. Lastly whoever wins can be given goodie bags as a winning prize.
Ohkay so, this episode just did not work for me at all. I will start off by saying that it is perfectly alright if it worked for the rest of the viewers but for me, it just did not. It seems to have become a pattern of these ending episodes now where they end it with a cliffhanger & the rest of the episode is totally filled with filler & repetitive scenes. I get it, I totally do that Shakira has left a long-lasting impression on Sameer, so much so that he has imbibed her personality traits but to show a handful of scenes repeatedly, again & again & again & again & again is just not needed. It is like they are brain feeding the viewers now like see, this is what Shakira was like, this is what she used to say & this is how she used to look at Sameer.
It is unfortunate that the drama which has such a unique story is now being stretched because obviously, it became popular so now unnecessary repetitive scenes have been edited in to prolong the episodes. This episode did have some developments to its credit but because the episode in general was so poorly edited & had repetitive scenes, everything else that actually should’ve mattered lost its impact. I totally believe this drama could’ve ended in next 5 episodes but oh well, my wishful thinking!
The Actual Developments:
Akbar was caught red-handed but not sure why he decided to do this now. Yes, it was a slow-poison but with Gauhar by his side, he should’ve waited for the right time & opportunity where Gauhar will get to share everything with Sameer & then Akbar will get to show him the real picture. Akbar took matters in his hands & ended up getting caught. Noora seems to be quite loyal to Sabeeha Begum, even though she herself seems to know a lot about her but then again, the baggage that Akbar carries is something that no one will be able to quite understand. I am actually wondering when will Sameer actually find out about Surraiya Begum & how long are we going to wait to see that happening. I so hope they are not saving that for the last.
Kashif is upset & he is unable to deal with the news of Gauhar’s marriage with Sameer. Kashif was never fine since the day he turned back but he seemed fine when he was the one who got engaged but ever since he has found out about Gauhar’s engagement, he is having all sorts of thoughts. Kashif is guilt-stricken but he also thinks he can do something. Donia is showing her vulnerable side to Kashif day by day, may be because she herself has picked up the detail that she is the one who is into this relationship emotionally & mentally whereas Kashif is still stuck in the past. Donia also asked for Kashif’s validation & when she didn’t get one, she decided to validate herself by saying that she will make the promise that she wanted Kashif to make. For now, Donia thinks she has the energy & the capacity to make this relationship work but slowly she will realize that it is not easy when your partner is emotionally absent & has nothing to offer.
It was interesting to see how they have shown the lack of chemistry between these couples. They seem forced & this is exactly what the truth behind these engagements is, Kashif is compromising because of Donia & Gauhar is doing that because of Sameer. Sameer & Donia are the only ones who are happy in these relationships but still, they don’t get the same kind of love & affection reciprocated by Gauhar & Kashif.
So, Sameer & Gauhar got married. Sameer was once again thinking about all of his complexes, he himself has misjudged Gauhar that she is getting married to him because of his wealth. Even though these things are shown to be coming from Shakira but in reality, these are Sameer’s own feelings which he channels out from another personality of his – so in this, he is solely responsible for feeling this way. Sameer obviously will have a hard time accepting the fact that he has made Gauhar a part of his life, the life where he is already so mentally scattered. I am happy with the preview though, because finally now after repetitive scenarios & everything being in the shadows, Gauhar will get to face Sameer & Sameera’s personalities, so the real deal will be shown, which I am interested to see now!
Oh yes, another good development was that Shakira did not molest or abuse Sameer in anyway, this is the reason why Sameer finds comfort in her thoughts. If she had done something horrendous of that sort, it would’ve scarred or scared Sameer for life but instead, he is actually in love with the woman who treated him with love. This is another reason why Sabeeha is getting engulfed in guilt day by day because she knows she is responsible for what happened with Shakira as she pushed her to that limit where she ended up taking her own life. Let’s see if Sabeeha will ever admit & confess or we’ll have to wait for season 2 to see that happening because this one seems to be dedicated to the repetitive flashbacks!
The Fillers:
The rest of the episode was filled with fillers like Bushra & Kamran’s scenes, Jahangir’s scene & all those flashbacks which showed Dargah & Shakira & Sameer’s interactions – we get it. We have seen it all, so it’s about time that they skip those scenes & just move the story forward. They have established the mysterious element of the story really well, so there’s absolutely no point in showing those scenes again & again. The interaction of Sameer & Sameera where she is feeding it to him that Gauhar married him for wealth was the kind of scene which was perfect when it was shown before because it left an impact, so there’s no point in using it again to highlight Sameer’s fears. I think the drama-makers are underestimating & insulting the intelligence of the viewers by literally brain-feeding them with the repetitions because though new, the drama buffs are very much capable of grasping this concept & story!
Closing Thoughts – Say No To Flashbacks:
This episode just did not work for me & it is sad that I had to look out for actual developments in the sea of flashbacks that flooded my TV screen. Also, another observation, why is everyone white-washed in this drama? As far as Yumna Zaidi is concerned, that kind of makeup goes well with the vibe of her character but everyone else like Zahid Ahmed, Jinaan Hussain, Khalid Malik, Zarnish Khan, Saad Azhar, other supporting characters & at times Sami Khan too, they all look white washed? No wonder why Sonya Hussyn stands out for her natural & realistic looking makeup which matches her skin tone. This episode for me was off-putting because of the loud background unnecessary added music & the flashbacks, which are obviously dragging the story & are slowing down the pace of the drama. The editing in particular was choppy & poor too, like the scene where Bushra asked Kamran for money, while I waited for his reply, they switched to Sabeeha & her guilt pangs. Please share your thoughts & if this episode worked for you, please don’t hesitate in stating that either, it’s perfectly fine.
Keep Supporting,
Cheers, Zahra Mirza.
PS: Added all of Shakira’s screenshots to let the drama-makers know that WE GET IT, just in case they think otherwise.
