Sajal Ali is debuting in Bollywood with Mom. The star will be seen with none other than Sridevi playing her Mom and Adnan Siddiqui her dad. The movie looks like a mystery from trailer. It also stars Akshay Khanna and Nawaz ud Din Siddiqui. She looks breath-taking in the trailer and shines on the poster as well.
The new song from the movie O Sona Tere Liye sung by Arijit Singh is peaceful and a treat for ears. Have a look:
Sajal looks amazing in every frame and as from her previous performances we are certain she will shine in this one too. We are totally looking forward to the movie!
Upcoming biopic of Qandeel Baloch starring Saba Qamar is the talk of the town these days. Qandeel as everyone knows was quiet a controversial person and she died in very unfortunate circumstances. Playing Qandeel is quiet a challenge and Saba really looks she is up for it:
Talking to mid-day she said:“I can do regular roles at any point in my career, but it’s good to do something my fans will remember me for.” She totally backed Qandeel baloch as she said she was exploited: “The perception was that Qandeel Baloch made inappropriate videos, but no one knows why she did it… She did it to earn money and support her family. She wasn’t educated, but dreamt of becoming famous. She didn’t have any other option to fulfill her dream apart from taking to social media. She tried to do regular jobs, but wherever she went, she was exploited.”
Saba further said people should also be blamed for making her viral: “If anyone, it’s the people who need to be blamed for making Qandeel a social media sensation. If no one had followed her, she would not have made what she did. It’s they who are responsible for her death.”
Saba also said she faced a lot of criticism when first look of the film was released:“When we released the poster, the abuses poured in. If they are expecting an entertaining show, they will be disappointed. We are going to showcase the difficulties she faced, not glorify her. Either this show manages to change the way our community thinks, or I die doing it.”
Baaghi looks promising. Best of luck to all people working in the telefilm.
The exam season is ending and for many the business of entry tests and university applications is just beginning. Regardless of how exams went and what future tests are in store for us, everyone is anxious either for themselves or someone they love. From a young age we’ve been told that these exams will set the path for our future and if we want success we have to ace these. There’s no other way around it, what we do right now will set the tone for everything to come in our future. But that isn’t entirely true. Sometimes we think we want something but the universe sets us in a track we could’ve never imagined for ourselves and it’s better than anything we hoped! So maybe right now you might feel like you won’t get into the university you’d always wanted and it may feel like your life is over but maybe you were meant for bigger and better things. These celebrities certainly thought they were on the right track but a change of fate made them the stars we all love and adore today. Can you imagine if Hamza Ali Abbasi had stayed as a Police officer? We’d never get the outspoken and straightforward Man Mayal star!
1. Junaid Jamshed
The late Junaid graduated from Yanbu’ al Bahr in Saudi Arabia with hopes of joining the Pakistani Air Force as a fighter pilot but couldn’t do so because of his weak eyesight. He then joined the University of Engineering and Technology in Lahore, to study mechanical engineering, getting his degree in 1990. He worked with PAF as a civilian contractor and had a short career in aeronautical engineering as well.
How did music make its way into his life and lifted him to stardom?
In 1983, Jamshed, while still a student, began performing in Islamabad and Peshawar University. During one of his performances, he was supposed to meet with Rohail Hyatt, who was searching for some talent to join his band ‘Vital Signs’ but couldn’t because of bad weather. It was four years after the two met again and Jamshed was added to the singing group. All’s well that ends well!
2. Mahira Khan
Mahira did her O’Levels from Foundation Public School in Karachi before moving to The States to complete her high school education and then joined the University of Southern California for her bachelor’s during which time she had to work as a cashier in Rite Aid to pay for her schooling. Her duties included closing the store at night, washing toilets and mopping floors! Just goes to show that there is honor in every work and a tough start does not mean a tough end, look at her now! Although she was unable to finish her degree she has expressed wishes to go back and do so.
3. Hamza Ali Abbasi
Hamza had been interested in the theater from a very young age. After completing his higher studies, he also got a degree for International Relations from abroad and came back to Pakistan to study it further for his Masters from Quaid-E-Azam University. Following the wishes of his mother, he gave the highly competitive CSS exams and secured a position for himself in the Police Force. However, he soon resigned to focus on his acting career even though it severed his relationship with his mother. Sometimes you have to sacrifice to do the things you love.
4. Fahad Mirza
Fahad completed his MBBS from Dow Medical College and trained in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery from Liaquat Ali Khan Hospital. He started his modelling career back in 2007 and auditioned for the Hum TV serial Bari Aapa, eventually landing a role and the rest is history!
5. Shahista Lodhi
Another on the list of Doctors turned Stars is Shahista Lodhi, sister of Sahir Lodhi and host of ‘Utho Jago Pakistan’. She received her early education from Habib Girls School Karachi and joined Bahria College for her matriculation exam in 1992. Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif has announced a fund for film revival and welfare of senior artists. This is a good news for the industry and finally government has realized its duty towards cultural development.
The statement released by PM Office said:
“Directions of the Prime Minister regarding Pakistan’s Film Industry
Art and artists are those trustees of the bright traditions of the Pakistani society which have played a significant role in keeping alive the national identity, culture and heritage at the global level besides carving a niche for Pakistan among the alive and conscientious nations.
Reviving the film Industry was the our top most obligation. It gives me immense pleasure to announce the biggest ever special package in the history of Pakistan for the artists and workers associated with this industry which surely is the fulfillment of yet another promise like our other pledges. Unfortunately Pakistan and its self-respecting people have witnessed heinous acts of terrorism in the streets, mosques and public places during the last many years. But by the grace of God owing to the sacrifices of our valiant forces and security agencies and unswerving determination of the nation, terrorism has been stopped in its tracks and incidents of terrorism have been considerably reduced.
The recent history is witness to the fact how enemies of Islam and the country targeted the innocent minds with misleading concepts which promoted terrorism in the country. The comity of nations interpreted our distorted identity according to their own perceptions.
The youth who are the future of this country remained captive of a scary mindset. To extricate the youth from that horrible situation and terrorism, we are trying to provide alternate avenues of entertainment to them. We are aware of the fact that quality entertainment revolves around availability of playing fields, recreations parks, tourism and cultural activities, the nucleus of which is the revival of the film industry.
Today I feel proud to accord status of Industry to the amorous body of films on the recommendations of the Ministry of Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage, which is the continuation of the policy that we announced in 1992. Apart from this, relaxation in financial laws pertaining to films and exemption from taxes should also be given. The domain of art and literature includes all those honorable people we call writers and poets. A comprehensive package will also be prepared for these honorable personalities and fine arts. Under this package National Film and Broadcasting Commission, National Film Institute and an Academy will be established that will have a studio equipped with latest technology and gadgets compatible with the requirements of the modern times. For the welfare and financial assistance to the artists I also announce the establishment of Prime Minister’s Artist Welfare Fund so that the dignity and self-respect of these talented individuals could be safeguarded.
Each nook and corner of this land of the pure testifies to the beauty of God. In this context the foreign film makers will be given special concession for making films on cultural, historic and tourists spots so that through this medium tourism at the national and international level can be promoted.
Special concession will be given on the import of equipment related to the film industry so that the bright and beautiful face of Pakistan can be shown to the world and the Pakistani film producers have all the facilities available at home for which they have to go abroad. We have to go even beyond this with a view to ensure that every person connected with this industry is duly encouraged. In this context the government has decided to accord complete exemption on entertainment tax. More concessions will be made in regards to the income related to film and entertainment. Special benefits and concessions will also be allowed on investments in such ventures which help in introducing our dignified past, exemplary heritage, worth emulating culture, distinguished literature and infallible beauty of tourism to the youth who are architects of our future.
To help the film and Broadcasting Industry and the fine arts I announce the institution of Prime Minister’s Film Finance Fund which I am sure is a rare step. I am sanguine that the inclusion of the film and Broadcasting Industry in the national milieu will give further boost to the Pakistan economy which is already striding on the path of sustained economic development. I am confident that these steps taken at the level of the government will go a long way in removing the difficulties and impediments connected to the film Industry. I am also proud of the fact that our land has produced such personalities in the field of fine arts whose imprint will help different nations to move ahead for all times to come. I am hopeful that our youth, like in other fields, will spare no effort to make their contribution in the domain of films to win laurels for Pakistan. In this endeavor they will always find the elected government standing with them. I direct the Ministry of Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage to present this package in implementable form for the approval of the government, after consultations with the Ministry of Finance and other relevant institutions.”
The package is based on recommendations by the Ministry of Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage, and the PM has directed the ministry to present a draft in consultation with the Ministry of Finance and other relevant departments to the government for approval.
Whether the packages reach the said parties or not time will tell. For the time being it is a good news for film industry and artists.
We have been watching Nida Yasir everyday in the mornings for a long time and she is always very expressive about her husband and kids and shares details about her household with her audiences. She had also modeled for various brands and names. But, for the first time she was seen on ramp with her husband Yasir Nawaz in Fashion Pakistan Week 2017. Hand in hand, they were the cutest couple and absolutely stole the show with their sizzling chemistry…
Being alive is a blessing , they say . There are times when life appears before you as a bed of roses but just like every bright side has a twin sister known as the dark side , there are OTHER times as well which can make you dwell into existential crisis.
1: When you intend taking over the world and you’re all set but then the oh-you-can-do-it-tomorrow feeling drops by and you bid goodbye to your motivational spirits .
2: When you see your ex getting engaged to someone else and you’re shut inside your room , crying rivers , cursing the couple and listening to -“dill ke armaan ansoon mein beh gaye !”
3: When all your diet and workout plans go wrong and all you do is – can’t stop eating !
4:When you know you’re multi-talented but none of your world-conquering ideas really work.
5:When you see your friends doing great with their social lives and you , on the other hand , sit alone. The idle feels make you realize how you’re so socially awkward ( sighs)
6: When all your friends are getting married and you’re still single , ready and hoping to mingle.
7: You scrutinize your personality , in search of talents and things you’re good at but ,in vain ! …you’re not even good at house stuff ! :/
8:And the most sucking moment is when you’re done with studies but can’t get yourself to decide what to do with your life . Oh the feels here are absolutely despondent !
These times suck , for they make you question your good for nothing existence and you wonder ” what even am I doing with my life? “
The super talented Maria Wasti has always been very professional and very original in all her performances. The actress has come a long way from her initial dramas and gathered many admirers along the journey.
Now she is appearing for the first time in a music video. The song is by Junii Zayed and Maria has explained that he is a very dear friend of her and she wants to support him in every way, including lending her face to the videography of his song.
In the heat of this season, Maria is shooting in a beautiful heavy gharara but she really seems to be enjoying herself. In her own words, shooting a music video is a different but interesting experience and the setup and and acting is quite similar working in plays, with the addition of music though.
She says that she will consider doing music videos in the future as well, as long as she likes the song and backdrop.
Here is a scene from the sets of video, posted by Junii himself.
They yet again proved to be the most unpredictable team in the history of world cricket by doing what nobody had expected them to do! They beat England in England in the semi-finals of the Champions Trophy 2017.
In case you missed it, which I’m sure you didn’t, Rishi Kapoor took a dig at Pakistan.
He took to Twitter and wrote, “Get ready to be BLUED now! We will BLUE you away!” he tweeted after congratulating the team on the win, got trolled by Pakistani cricket fans in return.
Congratulations Pakistan! You enter finals? Wow! Good to see you wearing our colour BLUE! Get ready to be BLUED now! We will BLUE you away!
After making headlines for sending abusive direct messages to a woman, the yesteryear actor is at it again and this time with the ‘Mango People’ of Pakistan. Pakistanis are finally giving an ultimate shut up call by curtly replying to the man.

We have heard about Pakistani stars working in Indian films and earning tremendous fame, but many known Pakistani stars have also worked in Hollywood projects.
The recent one to leave a mark in Hollywood is Kumail Nanjiani, a Pakistani-American, who never imagined that one day he would be a leading actor in a Hollywood movie. But this is what has happened as the 39-year-old comedian landed his first acting lead role in a romantic-comedy movie called ‘The Big Sick’.
The movie revolves around the story of a 39-year-old comedian who meets an American girl, Emily Gordon, and falls in love with her leading to marriage. The movie is set to hit cinemas on June 23.
The movie is filled with quirky, funny and relatable scenes and is sure to be a hit among the crowds.
Nanjiani and Gordon co-wrote the script and filmed the movie long before Trump became the president, and the difficulties which Muslims are facing has given a boost to the film.
“Obviously it would be great if our movie came out and people didn’t see it as a political statement because it really isn’t. It is just a love story and a comedy,” Nanjiani was quoted as saying by Variety at the Los Angeles premiere.
The movie was first shown at the Sundance Film Festival and its distribution rights were acquired by Amazon for a reported $12 million, which is termed as being one of the biggest deals in Sundance history.
Despite the ban on Pakistani artists, it seems as though Bollywood projects are finding a way to include Pakistanis. Atif Aslam will be singing for Tubelight, while Sajal Ali and Adnan Siddiqui will be appearing alongside Sri Devi in Mom.
Another Pak-India collaboration in the pipeline is Kalabaaz Dil fame, Aima Baig. The 28-year-old sensation is all set to sing for an upcoming film. Speaking to a leading daily, she said,

“I am indeed working on a song from a Bollywood production which is a duet with my favourite singer. It was a dream come true. I remember being absolutely star-struck when I met the makers and the film’s male lead in Dubai.”
A post shared by Aima Baig (@aima_baig_official) on
“I think it’s pretty stupid, a political war between two countries doesn’t have anything to do with art. Saba Qamar and Mahira Khan, even Fawad Khan, I feel have done brilliant work in India and they’re so capable of achieving much more. I hope it gets resolved soon. I feel great when I see how filmmakers from across the border are still reaching out to Pakistani artists. They’re not backing out and I commend them for it.”

In a recent press conference for his upcoming film, He said those who demand wars should be sent to the border to end the warmongering.
“Those who order wars should be sent to the forefront and be told that you fight first. Their hands and feet will tremble. The war will be over in a day. Then they will sit across the table and talk.”
Salman further added, “Whenever there is war, people die on both sides of the border.”
“All discussions can be solved across the table. It’s a negative emotion.”
Soon after Salman’s press conference came to an end, Hindu extremist Shiv Sena criticised the actor and said that Salman Khan “crossed his boundaries. The way he has said this is really objectionable. Who doesn’t want peace? Why does he always cross his boundaries.”
Congress spokesperson Sanjay Jha, on the other hand, told CNN-News 18 that Salman Khan’s statement rooting for peace between India and Pakistan was a “sane, sensitive and mature one.”

In B town, the ultimate success of a movie is measuring digits of its profits at box office, and those classics that cross 100 crore mark are the ones considered to have made it big.
Hindi Medium starring Saba Qamar and Irfan Khan as lead has recently been added to this genre by crossing the total profits of 100 crore at box office. This humongous success is attributed to the the simplistic and relatable storyline, amusing characters and state of the art performance by actors.
The movie made with a budget of 22 crores has now exceeded the profits of 47 crores, and more than 15 crores have been gained by music, satellite and digital play. So in the game of crores, Saba Qamar’s Bollywood debut is leading the race as one of the best movies Bollywood has produced.
We see adds popping up on TV channels every now and then and we are left wondering “what’swith the different TVCs but same concepts?”
Yes, This is what we see happening these days, especially in the recent advertisement campaigns of Pepsi and Coke which show you how to put bottles to good use.Bottles filled either with lights or with money for charity.
Here’s what Mustafa had to say about the advertisement strategies and it is hilarious. He also points out the other uses of bottles. They have other uses too which can be trivial but useful (pun intended) and the next time you want to come up with an idea that has a bottle in it, do consider the ideas given in Dejuice desi bytes.
Assalamoalikum.. Allah bless you all with His abundant blessings this Ramadan. Ameen
Episode 10 of Mubarak ho beti hui hai did have some powerful performances but storyline has not shown much development. It was mainly about the aftermath of Aneela’s son’s diagnosis, and the odds Naheed faced as a result of daring to stand on her own two feet. Life is throwing her back at every curve and till now she is proving she has got what it takes to get going, and so do her daughters.
The part about her getting a new job running the school canteen and her daughters getting scholarships was a breath of fresh air. Her oldest daughter Iqra is such a poised and confident young lady and so proud of her mother.
The mother and daughters’ front is all going progressively but as usual, majority of the society cannot bear to see a single woman succeeding. So, Fariha and khala both are hell bent on making life harder for her than it already is. It was very hurtful when khala was sympathetically telling Naheed to have a big heart and accept that she is flawed, like it’s some inherent deficiency of hers that she gives birth to females but Naheed is senseible enough to refuse being pitied or guilt trapped on a ridiculous accusation. Khala is also doubtful of Naheed’s character because of their neighbor, without any consideration of her plight.
Naheed had gone to her brother’s house to celebrate the arrival of his son with all the fanfare of a first time phuphoo but was met with sarcasm and meanness from Fariha. That woman is not capable of anything else. Shehzad’s attitude was a bit better not for long, as shown in the promo, thanks to Fariha and khala’s venom against Naheed.
Naheed is portraying all the common problems of a single working mother today. She can have all the will and resilience in the world but she still needs child support to go out to work. In Naheed’s case, she has to rely on a stranger like her landlord khala for her infant, even though she is totally disinterested in caring but there is no other option for her. That resulted in a head injury for her baby, causing her so much distress. The neighbour was again there for the much needed help, but unfortunately they caught Fariha’s eye and how she is going to exploit that knowledge is no one’s guess…
In Sadiq and Aneela’s household, nothing much has changed.. life remains the same there with Sadiq a stupid spineless puppet in Aneela’s hands, his mother left sick and alone with only her guilt and regrets to keep her company and Aneela under the impression that because she is cunning, she can cover all her misdemeanours with lies and tears and makeup in front of Sajid, which frankly she does a little too much of. Especially for someone who is worried about her mentally challenged son and who has to do housework like cleaning and cooking ..
We Pakistanis as a nation have a tendency to judge others and pass mean comments on them. From body shaming to poking noses in matters of other people’s lives we have done it all.
Let me start where all this judging starts. We all have witnessed situations in our friends and relatives where there were couples with one pretty person and the other average and deny it if you will but we all were there giving statements like “Allah kare Maa jaisa ho” or “Maa to ainvayin hai iski baap pe jaaye” when we were informed of the good news by the couple. So the poor child was subjected to judgments even before he/she was born. We said that sitting among our families and no one stopped us on this scrutiny. Obviously the baby will grow into a judgmental person as his surroundings suggest.
We have developed a horrible habit of judging others and passing comments on them when we do not even know them. The reason I have brought this topic up today is because I was going through my timeline few days back I saw a picture of Sajal Ali with Jhanvi Kapoor (daughter of Sridevi). The girls were standing in cold and were covered in full clothes. I REPEAT covered in full clothes. See the picture:
The picture was criticized as Sajal is doing an Indian movie by some people. To them I will give the benefit of doubt as our relation with India can lead to that. But there was a person who abused Sajal on this and his language was so hideous that my mind is still on fire and I obviously cannot quote that here. That incident lead me to search on how our actresses are subjected to this bullying behavior every day. I admit this happens all over the world but the kind of language we use here and the behaviour we showcase is beyond explanation. So I typed the names of some of our top actresses on Google Images and see what I found:
All over the world when you type the names of stars on the search bar you find news about their new projects, the events they attended or about what was going on in their personal lives and what we are getting here is:
“Dekhiye Mehwish Hayat ne be hayai ki inteha karr di. Jann’ne ke liye link pe click karein.”
Is this a way to attract audience by humiliating someone? By using such demeaning language about a woman who works, is independent and is trying to play her part in the society.
I am not implying here that dresses worn by our actresses or the lifestyles they adopt are the righteous or goes with the spirit of religion but do we have the right to bully them and slut shame them and call them names when we do not even know these ladies personally and the same religion has taught us to show tolerance and never disrespect anyone. All they are doing is working day and night; shootings, promotions and what not and here we are staring at our mobile screens and talking ill about them; ill to the level of abusing them and bashing their families. And I am not show casing myself as a feminist here because I believe men and women both should be respected equally but why the same nation didn’t shame Fawad Khan on playing a gay role in an Indian film. Because to me it was far worse than Humaima Malik’s risqué role in Raja Natwarlal and Humaima’s role wasn’t acceptable either.
The other problem which is seen on daily basis is disrespect shown by people on Instagram mostly when these actresses share their pictures with fans who actually value them. I saw many people calling them fat, old, ugly and even kaali. Is getting old something unique? Is being fat or dark a bad thing? Have you forgotten the legacy you carry and essence of your religion when you were taught by your Prophet:
“Superiority is only on the basis of piety and no white is superior to black.”
What I am trying to convey here is if you have nothing to do with your own life and all you have in you is to call names and bully these women on social media, use your time as there are many other things you can do on the internet. Believe me it is a vast territory. And if you do not like their clothing, their choices or their lifestyles just leave them alone. Don’t see them; don’t comment on their pictures because NOT SAYING (OR WRITING IN THIS CASE) IS BETTER THAN ILL TALKING ALL THE TIME!
The hottest on screen pair Danish Taimoor and Sana Javed are fast becoming the talk of the town with their sizzling chemistry. Recently, they are making a lot of public as well as TV appearances to increase the anticipation of Mehrunnisa v lub you.
When they arrived at Geo Khelo Pakistan with Wasim Akram and Shoaib Akhter, the show became a huge hit. From the looks of it, their movie has all the inklings of going house full everyday.
Here is a peek from the sets of Geo Khelo Pakistan ;
Junaid Jamshed was one of the pioneer of Shaan e Ramzan and Jeeto Pakistan and certainly its most appreciated host. Unfortunately, last year he lost his life along with all fellow passengers on the fateful PIA flight from Gilgit to Islamabad.
This Ramzan, Jeeto Pakistan is not the same, for his co-hosts or his very loving audience. Each second is fraught with some memory that traces back to the times of Junaid Jamshed on the very sets that he graced till last year.
He had been the mastermind and chief executioner of many pious tasks, especially those involving helping the poor and needy. In 2016, he had promised to give car to the famous Kodu who is now paralysed and really wishes for a car. This year, he was gifted a car from the team Itself, not any donor, and establishing the goodness that only a man like Junaid Jamshed can spread.
Ohkay so, this episode of Yakeen Ka Safar was my absolute favorite. I must say the director should be commended here for keeping things so simple on the surface but adding so many little details in almost every other scene to give it a meaning & a depth for the viewers to enjoy. When you watch Yakeen Ka Safar you feel as if you’re watching a life of regular people unfold on-screen because that’s how effortless & realistic the director has made everything & for that he deserves a round of applause.
Daniyal finally got a direct message from Rab Nawaz Shah & he got to know what Rab Nawaz Shah is capable of doing & what he can actually do. I liked the fact that both Gaiti & Asfand felt something off about this entire situation, like it was nice to see a connection of this sort where those who are emotionally attached to Daniyal felt some unease. I think Daniyal should be a little cautious as he must be new to the field but he is not oblivious to how corrupt these politicians can be. It is good that Daniyal has this drive to help people & he feels passionately about bringing justice to Noori but then he has to keep his eyes open as well & he has to be realistic because in the end, his safety comes first & he has to take care of himself not for his family but also for Noori as her life depends on him too. Yes, Daniyal did buy a gun but then again, that’s just not enough. I so wish Usman had done something to help his son because he was the one who received Rab Nawaz Shah’s call directly.
So, Noori found out that her family has moved somewhere else & Daniyal thought he could use it against Rab Nawaz Shah in order to prove that he pressurized & harassed Noori’s family. I think being a lawyer, they should’ve shown Daniyal to be a bit more smart in a sense where he could read people’s actions & intentions. Daniyal told Urooj to take care of the confidential documents related to Noori’s case but then again, I am not sure how & why did he start trusting Urooj so easily? They should’ve shown that Daniyal had this strong sense of intuition, because of which he wasn’t trusting Urooj with such important documents. Daniyal should’ve known that being helpless didn’t mean that Urooj would be sincere to him? Like the way Urooj told him about all his problems, it definitely meant that she was in need of money so for her, all her sincerity would be with her family & the one who will pay her more will be able to get the work done from her. I wish now that Daniyal was forced to do some thinking, he also grows a little conscious around Urooj & shouldn’t trust her so easily.
Now, talking about my favorite scene of this episode, it was Zubiya’s confession to Khalil but I loved how Zubiya was brought to this point. My my, I found myself tearing up when Khalil broke down & gave Zubiya the comfort she was looking for. I found it so realistic how Zubiya’s mother guided her in her dream & told her to apologize, those who have lost their near & dear ones would know that in a time of despair, those who have left you do come & guide you in your dreams & this is exactly what happened with Zubiya. She was avoiding her family members for nearly 2 months but just because she got some guidance, she found the courage to face her father & apologize for her mistakes.
Can we say that Khalil has redeemed himself, I think yes! Not that all that he has done in the past has been forgiven & forgotten but the fact that he is now aware of his own mistakes & feels responsible does change my perspective of him. Who would’ve thought that a father like Khalil will take the entire responsibility of his daughter’s mistakes & will end up blaming himself for what Zubiya & his entire family was going through. Khalil actually understood that this was karma’s spin on him where was now paying the price for pushing his wife to death & for doubting her purity. What I loved the most was that Khalil just didn’t admit his mistakes to himself but chose to share everything with Zubiya to put her aching heart to ease. It is true, just as much as Zubiya was affected by what she went through, this entire incident forced Khalil to reflect on his mistakes & he had no escape, that is why he had to accept that he was basically facing the brunt for all that he has done all his life.
I loved the fact that Khalil took a stand for Zubiya & told Rehan clearly that he intended to educate her daughter because that is what their mother wanted. Rehan should know that he doesn’t stand a chance now & he has zero authority. I loved how Khalil gave a shut-up call to Sheema too, just to restore Zubiya’s position in the house as even he could see that Zubiya suffered alone for such a long time & now she was begging for a chance. What I loved the most about this entire scenario was how Zubiya slept in her father’s room & how Khalil chose not to disturb her, it was like he was giving her the comfort she longed for all her life & especially in this phase where she hit the rock bottom. Telling Zubiya to have breakfast at the table with the rest of the family members was also Khalil’s way of telling her that she is not an outcast anymore. Also, Zubiya has spent a lot of sleepless nights but it was suggested that after such a long time she slept in so much of peace that too in her father’s room that she not only lost track of time but also seemed startled that she wasn’t in her room, in her own bed. Since there has been so much of focus on Zubiya’s ‘aala taleem’, I am guessing she will enroll in MBBS & may be that’s where she will cross paths with Asfand, as it was also suggested that Zubiya was a bright student, as that’s what her friends were discussing that she was focused & always on-time with her assignments.
Overall, this episode was beautiful. I enjoyed Zubiya & Khalil’s track a lot more & I can’t wait to see how Zubiya will now pick up the pieces that too with her father’s support. It is just so amazing that Khalil has now turned into a father that Zubiya never had but sadly, the one who should’ve seen all this is not here anymore. Zubiya had her mother’s love when Khalil wasn’t around & now she got her father’s love when her mother is no more. Even though I felt that Zubiya’s track became stagnant in last couple of episodes but I am glad they gave it a slow treatment because now the conversation that both Zubiya & Khalil had, had a lot of impact & it was absolutely heart-warming. I must say, Ehtashamuddin & Sajal Ali, they were the stars of this episode & while looking at them perform, I said to myself that no other actors could’ve done justice to this scene in particular the way these two did. Mind blowing! Please share your thoughts about this episode of Yakeen Ka Safar.
Congratulations Team Pakistan for being the first team making into the finals of the ICC World Champions Trophy 2017!
The match was a brilliant play by our bowlers and a tremendous batting performance by Fakhar, Azhar and Hafeez simultaneously, so that the team outplayed England in the semi final by 8 wickets and 77 balls remaining.
The team chose to bowl first and limited England’s score to 211, by a steady start although Hassan Ali (declared the Man Of The Match) changed the course of the game in the middle-overs. Both Junaid Khan and Raees picked two wickets each.
There was an unexpected yet marvelous show by the batsmen in the second innings as Fakhar and Azhar (scoring 57 and 76 runs respectively) came in first, followed by Babar (38) and then Hafeez (31).
The home run was struck by Hafeez with a four, concluding the match with a stupendous finish, and grabbing the team the first spot in the finals that is due to be played on Sunday, the 18th of June.
The second finalist will be decided tomorrow in the match between Bangladesh and India.
Any thoughts on today’s match? Who do you think will play against Pakistan in the final on Sunday? Let us know in the comments!
Madiha Imam went from being a VJ to the most anticipated actress this year! She started her career as a video jockey on ARY Music and won over the audience with her jocular personality. Madiha Imam’s Bollywood debut ‘Dear Maya’ has been quite hush-hush and opened low at the box office. However, the film never made it to the cinemas in Pakistan.
In an interview with Instep, Imam revealed that Dear Maya wasn’t supposed to release in any other country besides India. It has nothing to do with relations between Pakistan and India.
“This is something I knew from the beginning since it was a small film,” Imam told Instep. “It depends on the distributors actually and they had no clue that a Pakistani actress would come on board. So they decided on a certain number of screens for the film in India. The film didn’t have a strong backing to be released in any other country including Pakistan. I was slightly saddened by it. I was aware that it won’t release anywhere else but still, I was hoping that it might release in Pakistan since I was associated with the project. But the producers had their own limitations.”
Atif Aslam has achieved global success for his talent and mesmerising vocals. He has delivered numerous hits, and all his songs tend to break records. From a record-breaking album to making his mark in Bollywood and now, singing for another Bollywood film, Atif just never fails to surprise.

Pakistan’s Electronic Media Industry is playing a vital role in celebrating Month of Ramadan with irrelevant Ramazan Transmission. Ramazan shows are airing for almost 13 years but the real boom in its size and volume was seen in 2012.
The rat race for TRP is going strong with channels competing against each other. Almost every channel has roped in celebrities to ensure high rating for their Ramazan shows. One such celebrity who stands out from the crowd is Mansha Pasha who isn’t interested in hosting any show.
In a recent interview to Instep, Chalay Thay Saath star, Mansha Pasha shed some light on how she feels about Ramazan shows.
“I have gotten a lot of offers to be part of Ramzan shows and make guest appearances but I didn’t do them because I don’t agree with this ideology”
She further added,
“There are so many question marks in this entire thing. Honestly, it seems as though Ramzan has nothing to do with religion anymore.”
Talking about Amir Liaquat, Mansha claimed,
“Aamir Liaquat has ruined an entire generation of people by using nationalism and theology to mislead the masses”
She added,
“I also question the producers who continue to approach stars who are not in a position to be preaching religion to anyone. Goes to show that there is a chink in the armor.”
