I had to do all of that just to bring myself into focus. I abused her. And while you adored her, I’ve come to thank you because you allowed me to indulge my chauvinism.

She said, “The lady in KMKT was looking horrible. I was shocked to see my face on the camera. I said to Badar, ‘next time don’t give me such a character’, he promised that he will give me the character of a hip-hop aunty. My mother used to stop me from doing such characters but we have to portray all types of characters”.
She further added, “I just realized it was a horrible character. Also, I was seeing I had a french manicure in one of the scene. The scene in which Rubab threw us out was shot in winters and the scene in which she exposed her husband was shot in summer, so! I had French manicure on my hands, it was the continuation of a scene. We keep many things in our mind regarding continuity issues but still sometimes minor things can’t be eradicated. But I must say, you guys watch keenly and most of the time, your observation is accurate.
She further said that her character Shagufta is getting criticism for all the right reasons because there is no reason to hate Sharjeena but Shagufta is doing that and in her scenario she only questions about the character traits but doesn’t force the writers and directors to change it because it is not her job to argue with the makers after signing a project which is unethical.

Firdous Begum, the famous Pakistani veteran actress who shot to fame for her iconic role in 1970’s movie ‘Heer Ranjah’, passed away here on Wednesday. She was 73. Firdous was shifted to a hospital in Lahore on Tuesday due to a brain hemorrhage where she breathed her last on Wednesday, according to her family.
A leading lady of Pakistani films from 1970s to 1980s, Firdous started her film career in 1963 with a movie ‘Fanoos’ in which she had a supporting role. She got a break from movie ‘Malangi’ in 1965 and thereafter there was no looking back. Firdous performed in over 150 Punjabi, Urdu and Pashto films.
She married to fellow actor Akmal Khan who died in 1967. Later she married actor Ijaz Durani who played male lead in ‘Heer Ranjah.’ She was blessed with three children, two sons and a daughter.
