Shoaib Malik while sharing his experience from Umrah mentioned that “The first time I performed Umrah was with Pakistani cricket team. Our tournament and matches were scheduled over there, but due to some reason they were cancelled but we were lucky enough to perform our Umrah.”

“The second time when I went to perform Umrah with my family, I had a severe injury in my feet that I could barely walk. The injury was so severe that I wasn’t able to walk on my right leg, but my family forced me to come along so I gathered some courage and decided to go. You guys won’t believe me but my pain just vanished away when I reached at that holy place. I didn’t used wheelchair, I walked on my own throughout”, added Shoaib.

He further added that “Even Sania was expecting but she decide to walk on her own. I asked her to use wheelchair but she refused. It was a wonderful experience indeed.”

He said, “it is because of my father that I have become a cricketer as he wanted me to be selected for the under 15 World Cup, he told me that under 15 selections are happening and you should go, which I refused to go and said to him that I already have done my loss, I will only go, if you will get me permission from mother and sister, he then took permission from them for me, I somehow managed to take part in those selection camps, even I didn’t have shoes, I borrowed shoes from someone and that’s how I went on giving the trials and finally, I got selected and became part of team”. It is to be remembered that Shoaib Malik’s father has passed away, long ago and he often misses his father.

Recently, Pakistan cricket team’s former skipper, talked about his plans to retire. The veteran batsman announced that he has no plans to retire before the 2020 World Cup Series.

I will retire. But right now after winning the Champions Trophy I am very optimistic we can win the next World Cup in England,” he further explained.

The happy man said that winning the Champions Trophy was one of his career highlights.

“But winning the Champions Trophy is certainly one of the most memorable moments of my career. I am fortunate to have also been part of the team that won the World T20 in 2009 in England.”
