Armeena Rana Khan is criticizing celebrities who engage in ‘religious extremism’ to help their careers. Turning to her Twitter on Tuesday, Armeena mocked people in her industry who garner praises through their religious views. “Advancing acting careers using religious extremism seems to be quite the ‘in’ thing these days. Can’t make it without huh?” wrote Armeena.

Pakistan’s Legendary artist Umer Sharif has been laid to rest at the Abdullah Shah Ghazi graveyard in Karachi earlier today. Alot of famous artists and political personalities attended the funeral including the dignitaries of Sindh Government. Previously, his son Jawad Umer requested fans to join funeral but fans were already there at the venue in love of Umer Sharif.

His funeral was performed in Umer Sharif Park Clifton phase 2. Fans gathered in a huge number to pay homage to their favourite artist. There was a huge crowd gathered in the funeral, the security had to close all the entrances of the park to avoid more crowd. It was a huge crowd due to which police officials cleared the way for the ambulance carrying Umer Sharif’s body to head to the graveyard.

It is pertinent to mention that his body was received by his sons Jawad Umer and Fawad Umer this morning. His dead body was wrapped in a national flag. Anchor Waseem Badami throughout accompanied legendary artist’s sons in this process from receiving dead body till burial. When Umer Sharif’s dead body arrived at Airport fans escorted it while showering rose petals onto it.

Sharif was born on April 19, 1955, to an Urdu speaking family in Liaquatabad, Karachi.

Kanwal Ahmed, the founder of women’s Facebook group Soul Sisters Pakistan, has been featured by Cartier at the Women’s Pavilion at Dubai’s Expo 2020. Qassam Jaffri sent a mail to his wife Sanam to communicate with her as A lot of users were unable to send or receive messages on WhatsApp and Facebook. “Hello, Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram are down. I guess we have to communicate in the old school way. I just got to L.A! What’s going on? Where are you? I miss you” wrote Qassam in his mail. Sanam seems quite happy to see his husbands effort.

The media personality Mathira is known to be one of Pakistan’s most controversial figures. The scandalous TV show host recently became a victim of leaked explicit videos. Pakistani host and model Mathira has shown her displeasure over some videos circulating on social media as she termed them fake and edited.

Taking to Instagram stories, Mathira shared screenshots of a chat with someone. While the context of the conversation is not clear, Mathira added captions saying that some nude videos are being circulated on social media with her face. She asserts the videos are doctored with her face having been pasted on via face swapping or editing.

“A video circulating on internet have been edited. The other two videos are mine because I posted them publicly on Snapchat but a stupid and nude one is edited and not me. My body is tattooed everywhere and so are my fingers. Please stop this nonsense. Whoever edited this will be punished, InshAllah”, added Mathira. Upcoming drama serial Sinf-e-Aahan is in the news for all the right reasons. A new addition in the cast of the star-studded production is Sri Lankan actress Yehali Tashiya, who will be essaying the role of a Sri Lankan cadet who has come to train in Pakistan alongside other female cadets.

It is not unusual for army officers from other countries to come to Pakistan and train with the Pakistan Army. What’s interesting is that this has been included as a plotline in Sinf-e-Aahan with the spotlight on a female international cadet, no less. Dur-e-Fishan Saleem is a new addition to the Pakistani TV drama industry. She has started her showbiz career with her debut drama “Dil Ruba” and played the role of Hania Amir’s sister. She has recently appeared in her second drama “Bharaas” which is currently on air on ARY Digital. Born and raised in Lahore Dur-e-Fishan is the eldest of four siblings. She is the daughter of Saleem ul Hassan who is a former PTV producer/director. She has studied law before stepping into the field of acting and has also practiced law as an Intellectual Property Lawyer for a year.

Dur-e-fishan Saleem has recently appeared in The Mazedaar Show hosted by Faizan Sheikh and Aadi (Adeel Amjad) and aired on TV one.

In the show, Dur-e-fishan was asked about her dream character. She replied, “I want to do any character that has shades, any character that just wakes up and is not happy all the day because no human is like that. I enjoy playing the characters who react and that look human and relatable to people. I try to keep things natural and that’s what I tried to do in my drama serial “Pardes”.
