The actor has once again grabbed the spotlight on the media after her mother’s recent interview with Geo TV in which she revealed why Meera landed into a big trouble due to her poor English.

In an interview with Murtaza Ali Shah for Geo TV, Meera’s mother Shafqat Zehra Bukhari revealed that she was deported from London by immigration authorities due to failing in English language. According to Meera’s mother, she misquoted her name and also mistakenly said “transaction” instead of “transit” due to which she was deported and banned from entering the UK for ten years—a restriction that has now expired.

Meera’s mother, Shafqat Zehra Bukhari further added that now they have requested the British High Commission to issue a visa to Meera. She said that at that time, they couldn’t understand Meera’s English and Meera also couldn’t fluently communicate. Here is the link to the video:

Meera’s father Sarwar Shah told Express Tribune: “Meera has had her nikkah with Captain Naveed already but there was this issue of Sheikh Atique that sprung up; he was claiming to be married to my daughter, But he has not been able to provide any solid proof of their alleged marriage and our family wants to move on from this. The time is right for Meera and Naveed. We will announce the dates next month and send invitations out to all our relatives and family members.”

Previously Meera told Sohail Warraich on his show that she will be tying the knot soon and if the reports are to believed Meera and family are keeping the things under wrap to keep the ceremony from bad eye. Both the families are planning for functions right now.

Pakistani film star Meera needs to introduction. Not only has Meera to her credit some of the hit Pakistani films of her time but she has also forayed into Bollywood and worked alongside actors including Ashmit Patel and Lucky Ali in more than 6 films. As per Meera’s husband, Captain Naveed, “Meera was quite unwell. She has undergone a major surgery . The surgery has been completed and she in in recovery.”

Earlier we had reported that Meera was in the US for sometime for a vacation and she was having a ball of time. A source told The Express Tribune, “Preparations are in full swing at Meera’s house and she has strictly instructed her parents and family members to refrain from disclosing any details about the wedding.”

“The ceremony will mostly be held at home but Meera has also booked a five-star hotel for it and is currently sorting out her clothes and jewellery. As it’s a sensitive matter, Meera didn’t hold a big engagement function and most of us still don’t even know who she is getting married to now.”

Priyanka and Chris’ film, Cowboy Ninja Viking, which is in pre-production phase right now, is helmed by Game of Thrones famed director Michelle MacLaren.

Based on the Image Comics graphic novel by A J Lieberman and illustrator Riley Rossmo, the story revolves around a counter-intelligence unit formed by psychotherapist Sebastian Ghislain, who transforms agents known as Triplets, a reference to multiple personalities.
