This time we will see Fahad and Mehwish in desi avatars and caught up in the shenanigans of a desi wedding. After “Teefa in Trouble” partnered with Yash Raj Films for the international distribution of the film, the Fahad Mustafa and Mehwish Hayat starrer “Load Wedding” is the latest film to collaborate with an international film distribution company as Fimwala Picture’s official twitter handle tweeted yesterday that Load Wedding will be partnering with Zee Studios for the international release of the film.

This is a great news for both the Pakistani audience as well the Pakistan Entertainment industry that our films are being recognized and are slowly going global. Since the revival of Pakistani cinema in 2013, Lollywood has been releasing some quality films and the collaboration with International distribution companies is certainly a step forward in the right direction.

Load Wedding is a social romantic comedy film set to release on Eid-ul-Azha (last week of August). Thanks to the collaboration with Zee studios, the film, in addition to Pakisan, will now also release in UK, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and various other countries in Europe and Middle East. We will know more about the plot once the trailer hits the web tonight at 9 PM.

Lahore Music Meet is the place to be at for music lovers in Lahore.There were panel discussions and live performances at the meet. Entry was free, and for any music lover this should be more than enough.

It was very surprising that this year, LMM saw a very low turn-out.

The evenings were full of half-filled halls and the public preferred to listen to live music rather than hear musicians talk.

It was also strange that no celebrity musician could be seen walking around outside in the lawn area where those attending could go up to them and have a little conversation.

As soon as the sessions were over, the artists were literally rushed back behind the stage by the organisers.

The media was not allowed backstage and there were some attendants who felt insulted by the way they were physically kept back from approaching any artist on stage for a little talk after the sessions.

Patari’s Tabeer project singers — Lyari Underground members, Abid Brohi and Nazar Gill — were the only ones seen outside openly talking to people, while the rest were not to be seen.

It may have been due to  the security situation after a series of bomb blasts in the country that had created such a setting at the LMM this year.

There used to be a saying about moving everything but the kitchen sink, but we cannot apply it to our celebrities when it comes to Ramzan transmissions. They move to the sets with everything, including the kitchen sink.

Talking about shaan e sehar or iftar or dil dil ramzan or ramzan main bol or barkat or whatever ingenious names they come up, there has to be a certain amount of topics you can really discuss every day, so they just leave the topics and preparation. They just shoot life as it happens.

Ramzan transmissions are more like vlogs now with kids singing, playing, aunties cooking, scholars arguing, hosts giving presents, guests debating and even swans roaming at will. And on top of all that, Sanam Baloch has now shown a live nikah on her program or in her words provided relief to the mother by wedding off her daughter.

The sequence of doing a live nikah seems quite desperate to be honest. There has to be better ways to helping out parents for their daughters’ wedding and especially since it didn’t involve any monetary contribution from the viewers. It looks more like filling screen time by finding one uniquely weird idea after the other to boost the ratings.

The funny thing is how they find people to be willing to just do everything on air. And how they must be grabbing people for everything. If  they can do live nikah, live fights and live cooking on stage, I wonder what will we see next.

Let’s stay tuned, because there are more than three weeks of ramzan left and the ramzan transmissions teams are certainly going to come up with many more entertaining ideas like this… to keep the show going ?

Mawra Hocane will be seen in HUM TV’s upcoming play Ahista Ahista. HUM TV arranged a live chat with the actress in which people asked her many interesting questions.

Mawra told her fans that she started acting two years ago when she was nineteen years old. She also said that it was basically the circumstances. She is somebody who really believes in fate and she thinks whatever is written for you happens. It all just happened in the blink of an eye. According to her it was Allah who helped her through.

Mawra likes anything cooked by her mom. Mawra said that she and Urwa seldom fight that is because Urwa is not much older than her, she is only a year old but while they were being brought up Mawra was trained to respect her elders. She said that she was always told to listen to her older sister so she is the sort who always listens to her older sister. She said “When I don’t listen to her, I get scolded but we never fight. Urwa is my best Friend in the world”.

She said that her character in Ahista Ahista is positive, one can guess that from the teasers. But she said that she was not going to tell the details of the character because she wants the viewers to be very curious so that they will watch the drama.

Mawra said that Pakistani film makers have recently started making good movies. The teaser for Urwa’s movie is also launching in three days. That is exactly when Mawra’s drama Ahista Ahista launches. Mawra says that she would love to watch such Pakistani films. She said that she listens to Bollywood songs a lot but whenever a good Pakistani song comes she loves to listen to it.

The famous Chai wala whose picture was taken by a Islamabad-based photographer Javeria Ali Javeria saw the Chai wala in a tea stall in Islamabad’s Sunday Bazaar. Javeria posted the picture on her Instagram account and then found the picture going viral on the social media.

On the other hand Arshad Khan did not know hen his picture was taken and suddenly saw flyers in hands of children which had his picture. In the beginning when media approachd Arshad he got very disturbed and his uncle (Mamoo) was also worried. But soon when they found out that it was Arshad’s good looks that have attracted the media then they started enjoying this attention of media.

Regarding Arshad’s background, he is from Kohat and used to make tea at the Itwar Bazaar from last three months. Arshad is not educated. He has plans to get married but will marry that girl which his parents will select for him.

Arshad is very happy with the fame he is getting and says that if he will get a modelling and acting offer he will surely accept it.

Reportedly, the second drama of Geo Television will feature the famous Dam Mastam pair Amar Khan and Imran Ashraf. Amar Khan said that she wrote the script of the drama and the drama would have the strong flavour of Punjab. Amar said that she was taken onboard for the lead role as well. The title of the drama would probably be “Janjal Pura”, it is to be remembered that Janjal Pura was a popular Pakistani drama of the past featuring Sawera Nadeem & Mahmood Aslam. The Lux Style Awards are popular awards of Pakistani media industry, the LSA ceremony is held annually in Pakistan since year 2001. The awards celebrate and acknowledge Fashion, Style and Art of the Pakistani entertainment industry, Lux style awards is also regarded as the oldest event dedicated to cinema, television, fashion, music and film industry in Pakistan.

Pritam Da copied Bheega Bheega Sa, and created Janam Bhoomi pe, They copied Billo and made Mera Dil leygai o Kamo Kider. Asaan Teri Gal Karni was twice by Herry Anand and Himesh Reshemya. Lion escaped in Lahore and caused chaos. Exotic pets are quite common in Pakistan with many rich people and the elite class keeping pets that should not be kept in homes. One such house had a lion in their house and it escaped into the streets. The lion entered the Harbanspura area where he caused chaos as people started running in the streets.

The lion was allegedly shot by another citizen who felt threatened by the animal. This is yet another case of irresponsible behaviour and cruelty towards animals.

Lindsay has dropped hints about converting to Islam in the last few years too and has been vocal about her interest in the religion. In 2015, she had faced a backlash in the US after she was photographed with a Quran in her hands in New York. “They crucified me for it in America.They made me seem like Satan. When she moved to London, she said one of her Saudi friend gave her the Quran she was pictured holding. “My very close friends, who have been there for me a lot, in London are Saudi and they gave me the Quran and I brought it to New York because I was learning,” she revealed on Turkish TV show Haber Turk. “The Quran opened doors for me to experience spiritually, to find another true meaning. This is who I am.”

Lindsay has not announced anything officially yet but if she has actually converted to Islam, she would not be the first celebrity to do so. Cat Stevens, Mike Tyson, Ice Cube and Muhammad Ali all converted to Islam during the prime of their careers.
