After receiving severe backlash, Unilever Pakistan has decided to change its name from ‘Fair and Lovely’ to ‘Glow and Lovely’. The brand’s communication moved away from benefits of fairness, whitening and skin lightening, towards the glow, even tone, skin clarity and radiance which are holistic measures of healthy skin.

The brand is becoming more inclusive and has featured models in hijab, western outfit, eastern outfit, curly hair, and dark skin tone. The diversity can be seen as every kind of woman from every walk of life is part of their campaign. The brand is committed to celebrating all skin tones, which will be reflected in the rebranded product’s communications and messaging.

The brand goes by the dialogues, “Fair & Lovely ka naya naam hai Glow and Lovely! Ab har chehra karey glow #GlowandLovely #AbHarChehraKareyGlow.”

This move by Glow and Lovely has been appreciated by many including actresses Sania Saeed and Nadia Jamil. Both of them have appreciated the brand for becoming more inclusive and bringing diversity.

Breaking News: Fawad Khan has finally shared the secret of his glowing skin (husn kaa raaz), which is Fair and Lovely for Men. Yes, Fawad has endorsed Fair & Lovely and the commercial is aired on television screens too. So anyone want to be like Fawad, go grab Fair & Lovely for men.

Pakistani dramas are loved all over the world and our 8 p.m. slot with the weekly aired prime time dramas are what gain popularity worldwide. Honestly speaking we became actors by watching few of these Bollywood actors and their cinemas because at that time we didn’t have cinemas or any other platform through which we can learn.”

Fahad Mustafa was recently spotted in an interview with “Something Haute”.

Talking about Ertugrul, Fahad Mustafa said that “Ertugrul came to Pakistan for money. He came, took a picture with lion, got money and went back from where he belongs. This is what you are for him, that’s it. We are for you people. We are here and will always be here for you people. Believe it or not, but this is the reality”.

After this statement of Fahad Mustafa, PTI Senator Faisal Javed Khan responds to Fahad Mustafa’s views on Turkish drama Ertugrul and lead actor Engin Altan Düzyatan’s visit to Pakistan, saying that “Engin Altan is one of the finest actors we have seen on TV and Dirilis Ertugrul brought him a huge fame across the world. Such quality content and fine actors are opportunities, not threats”.
