Famous Pakistani All-Rounder, Shahid Afridi is in US nowadays after getting an invitation from Islamic Circle of North America’s (ICNA). New York, New Jersey and Florida will be a part of his visit on Feb 7th,8th and 9th respectively.

Enjoying a huge fan following, Ahsan Khan has always taken new moves in his career by picking roles that made him a renowned versatile actor. Whether it be David of “Parsa” or Meerab of “Na kaho tum mere nahi”, Ahsan has proved himself as an actor by nature who knows how to grab the attention of viewers. Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has reportedly summoned actor Saba Qamar on May 16 for evasion of taxes.

The FBR has reportedly sent a notice to the actor to explain a discrepancy in her filed income taxes. The actor’s income taxes filed for the year 2014-2015 are being audited, as reported by a source.

The source also added,

“Saba Qamar’s filed income taxes do not match her lifestyle. Further investigation will be conducted on details presented by the actor and then her income taxes filed for the years 2015-2016 and 2016-2017 will also be audited,”

However, Saba Qamar denied receiving any notice from the FBR.

“I have not received any notice. This happens every year and I am used to it by now.”

In September last year, a notification from the FBR stated that Saba Qamar had been found to be a tax evader. The FBR had stated Qamar had defaulted on tax worth Rs3.4 million.

It was also reported that the board had sealed the actor’s house as she did not respond to notices.

However, the starlet had dismissed the reports saying,

“My house has not been sealed, neither has my bank account. I’m a tax filer. It’s very disappointing that channels are circulating such news without finding out the truth. These channels have no credibility as they have been spreading such rumours.”

While the last date to file income tax returns is 30 November, Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has also issued income tax notices of worth millions to leading singers. As per news reports Rahat Fateh Ali has been sent a notice of 300 million (30 crore). Ali Zafar is asked to pay 210 million (21 crore). Atif Aslam is also served with a notice of 170 million (17 crore).

All these singers are earning in millions, they demand millions for one concert. Atif Aslam charge 3.5 to 4 million for one show and total amount is paid in advance. Rahat Fateh Ali  charge 3.5 to 4 million for one show and 10 million for any show abroad.

Renowned singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan seems to be under the watch of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) again. The tax collection authority has launched a probe into the income generated from his concerts abroad. 

The FBR has requested the aid of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in order to assess Khan’s money trail. FBR has sought the travel history of Rahat Fateh Ali Khan for the last six years. The letter also asked the FIA to provide details of all foreign trips of Rahat Fateh Ali Khan from July 1, 2014, to date. 

Meanwhile, the super star’s team has claimed that no message from the FBR has reached Rahat Fateh Ali yet. “We haven’t received any notice from FBR as of yet.  We are currently looking into the matter,” Khan’s manager Muhammad Amir, told to a private TV channel.

This is not the first time, the singer has come under the radar of FBR in regard to his taxes. Back in 2017, the bank accounts of the singer were seized in the case of tax evasion. At the time, the FBR had maintained that action was taken due to non-payment of income tax worth more than Rs3 million in 2015. 

Earlier in 2011, the singer was summoned to the Lahore Regional Tax Office after returning from a foreign tour. At that time, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan had appealed for ignorance of Pakistani tax laws and procedures and promised to submit tax returns henceforth.

Recently, Fazila Qazi appeared on Nida Yasir’s show Good Morning Pakistan. During the show, she opened up about the reasons behind behavioral shifts in mothers-in-law and mothers.

Talking about it, Fazila Qazi said, “Everyone says that mothers-in-law start behaving strangely after their sons’ marriages, but has anyone realized why they behave this way? Most of us are in our forties when our children get married, which is a pre-menopausal phase of life. This is the age when women experience hormonal changes that can affect their emotions and behavior. Now, at this age, I realize why my saas and mother behaved differently — they would often become emotional and cry. We are more educated about these things today, but women who lack awareness don’t understand that they are going through a pre-menopausal phase. When they become mothers-in-law, they don’t know how to handle these changes and may fall into self-pity because there comes a time when women become a house help who is doing all the chores by herself. Fazila Qazi and Kaiser Khan Nizamani are renowned Pakistani television actors who have recently garnered a new wave of fame and headlines—not for a screen performance, but due to a viral article written by their son, Zorain Nizamani. Zorain is a lawyer and is currently pursuing a PhD in Criminology in the USA. His article, “It’s Over,” made him popular, as he emphasized the inclusivity of the new generation while making policies, arguing that young minds are no longer buying outdated narratives promoted by people in power. The article was later removed after being noticed by higher officials. Fazila Qazi also clarified that her son’s article reflects his personal views as per situation and has nothing to do with any political affiliations.

Recently, Fazila Qazi appeared on Ahmed Ali Butt’s podcast Excuse Me, where she opened up about her son’s article.

Talking about it, Fazila Qazi said, “You should be interested in the article. Did you read the original one? There was a lot of misinformation surrounding it, but the original article did not contain anything controversial. Whatever happened was because of the polarization in Pakistan; otherwise, there was nothing too harsh in it. If you look at the new generation across the world, they talk like this. Students studying abroad have freedom of speech; they openly discuss issues with their teachers and classmates and share their opinions freely. What do we expect from the upcoming generation? My son is doing a PhD in criminology, political science, and criminal justice—they openly discuss such matters. We have certain responsibilities toward the youth and the nation, but we did not fulfill them responsibly and instead exploited our power. I am proud to be Zorain and Ahmed’s mother. I thank Allah for blessing me with such children. I always prayed to Allah to make my children good Muslims. We taught them the Quran as a guideline and encouraged them to seek answers through it. That is how they were brought up.”

Fazila Qazi is an actress and artist who has never shied away from saying what she felt was right. She started her career from PTV and she has not looked back since. She is married to fellow actor Qaiser Nizamani and the couple is still in love and had a very successful married life. Fazila is a mom to two boys and she has always been a very present parent as she left acting for sometime to raise her sons.

Fazila was a guest on Madeha Naqvi’s show and they were speaking about the current trends in parenting and the mental health of children. She went on to speak about how parents these days have lost the plot and they are treating too delicately which is not faring nicely with how the children are growing up.

Fazila said that parents nowadays do not say anything to their kids even when they are misbehaving. They think that the child will lose their confidence and they will get into depression if parents are strict with them. She said that kids are therefore ill-behaved now. Fazila added that in her time parents loved you but they also taught you right from wrong which is necessary.

Fazila Qazi said, “I have seen a few videos of Iqrar ul Hassan because we are all connected through social media. I can’t understand how I made such a mistake in recognizing a person. I thought he was doing everything with pure intentions, that he genuinely wanted to help people. Whenever he invited me to his show, I went. But I was wrong about him. I made a mistake in identifying who Iqrar ul Hassan really is.”

She added, “I mean, how can a person be so obsessed with one individual, Imran Khan, that everything he talks about revolves around him? I do not belong to any political party. I may have differences with Imran Khan’s political stance, but at least acknowledge how significant a figure he is. He brought the World Cup to Pakistan and established a cancer hospital that provides free treatment. I know he is a great leader, though perhaps not a perfect politician because he can’t recognize people’s true faces. I think I would be the same as a politician because I am also weak at judging people. But I feel sad for you. You need treatment. The way you were constantly shouting, making personal attacks, and speaking aggressively against him and one good day you apologized, it’s not the right behaviour. I think you need professional help. If you have differences with someone, discuss them respectfully with your three wives at your home instead of indulging in online verbal abuse. Your shouting is not helping anyone. You have a son—have you ever thought about how people may treat him because of your harsh language? I made a mistake by appearing on your shows.”

She further added, “I think anyone who has done anything good for Pakistan ends up in jail. Imran Khan is in jail, and that girl Iman Mazari has also been imprisoned. Please do not bad-mouth people even if you disagree with them.” Watch the full video here:

That has always been my ultimate wish and passion because of my hobby of reading digests. Ghazal Siddiqui also shared her story of leaving Pakistan, she said, “My son was very young, and my husband had a wish for him to send him abroad for his studies because my husband was an PHD from Oxford University, he didn’t want to compromise on our son’s education. We both resigned from our jobs in Pakistan, applied for immigration, and eventually moved to Canada. Our son was 11 years old when we relocated, after wrapping up everything in Pakistan. While sharing the incident about her husband’s possessive nature, Fazila Qazi said, “Kaiser used to react very aggressively with my fans. He is very possessive; once he beat a person because he was staring at me while sitting in his car. Kaiser noticed him, brought him out of the car, and beat him up. Fazila Qazi and Qaiser Khan are a beautiful and very adorable couple. Having been married for 26 years, the duo complement the other in every possible way and have been standing strong behind each other since always.

The two recently appeared on Bol Nights With Ahsan Khan and during a fun banter shared how they both fell in love.

Qaiser Khan said, “Once during the shoot of drama Arzoo, Fatima Surraya Bajiya asked me to drop Fazila back to her home. It was then and there when she made me fall for her.”

Qaiser also mentioned that although the drama didn’t get made but he believed it was fate that brought the two of them together. “After two years, when we were married, I did that drama as my production and directorial debut and made Fazila do the same role,” added Qaiser.

Fazila and Qaiser have been married for 26 yeras now and have two sons.
