Bridal Couture Week 2018 started with a big bang with some of the biggest designers showcasing their majestic designs. The first day was all about festive bridal collection. Ayeza Khan was one of the showstoppers at the show. She wore a beautiful red bridal dress which was heavily embroidered. Ayeza Khan looked gorgeous and she was full of confidence. Ayeza Khan smiled a lot while she was on the ramp. She enjoyed her walk which made it even more fun for the audience to watch.
This is not the first time that Ayeza Khan has dazzled as a showstopper at the Bridal Couture Week for one of the biggest designers for the industry. Ohkay so, this episode of Koi Chand Rakh was interesting because it took the story forward & finally the cat’s out of the bag now. I will say that after seeing the way certain characters’ reactions to certain things, I totally feel they are poorly written & poorly directed as well.
Truth Is Out:
Zia Bhai turned out to be the one who not only apologized to Sobi but also told Gulshan about Zain’s gul that he had bloomed with the help of Nishal. After finding out about everything, the first thing Gulshan should have done was informing Zain that Rabail had nothing to do with what Zia did but she was too busy taking care of her hair & makeup that she forgot doing something so important. It is funny that when it comes to blaming Rabail, everyone is active & enthusiastic but when its time for the damage control, everyone is either too distracted or least bothered. Well, it was good to see Gulshan being happy about Rabail’s pregnancy, at least there is someone who reacted to this news the way it was meant to be. It seems like Sobi will develop a soft corner for Rabail, I guess in such a considerable cast, giving one supportive person to Rabail isn’t such a big deal!
Asad uncle got to overact again & Nafeesa was now acting numb as if whatever Nishal did was again Rabail’s fault. Nishal is someone who has grown up with a lot of complexes & a lot of bitterness that is why she couldn’t stop reminiscing about the times she had spent with Rabail & how every single time she was forced to accommodate her. Nishal felt victorious because she now took revenge of a lifetime & snatched away someone who meant a lot to Rabail.
To be honest, as much as I feel for Rabail, I am not a fan of her character because there’s no difference between Rabail or a doormat. Every single time one person or the other misbehaves with her & she stands there speechless as if she is entitled to such kind of treatment.
Closing Thoughts – Double Episodes Would’ve Been Better:
Well, Nishal was thrown out of the house & she came to Zain’s right at that time when Rabail was trying to mend her broken relationship with Zain. We have seen a lot of negative characters but they seem convincing because of the way they have been written but in Koi Chand Rakh there’s absolutely no personality in negative characters, no logic, no substance whatsoever.
Overall, this episode of Koi Chand Rakh was still pretty decent because the story made a progress. Ayeza Khan’s acting was really good in the last scene for sure. Not sure what has gone into Imran Abbas though, his acting is just not the same anymore. I still believe if they had aired double episodes of this drama, it would’ve been a better experience watching it. Please share your thoughts about this episode of Koi Chand Rakh.

Baba Jani Episode 14 Story Review – Tonight’s episode of Baba Jani was intense and with this episode, the course of the story changed altogether. Even though initially I was expecting Sadia to die much sooner but I am glad the writer gave her so much screen time because her character exited from the story at a time when she will be missed the most. The goodbyes were extremely emotional and the way Nimra clung to her Baba Jani showed the strong bond they shared.
A Shock For Asfand And Nimra
Sadia made a conscious decision to end her life when she stopped getting the treatment she needed in order to stay alive. Her failing health was not noticed by people who were close to her because she did whatever it took to hide what was going on. It took Najeeba and Naila just a few weeks to convince a completely happy and confident woman that her existence was a source of trouble for the man who had done so much for her. Najeeba and Naila played mind games which ultimately led Sadia to make a decision which did more harm than good. Asfand and Nimra had no idea what was going on. Nimra did not really find out that Sadia opted not to get the treatment done but Asfand found out the truth. Asfand was shocked to hear what the doctor told him but there was clearly no time to think about why Sadia had done this. This entire development was covered convincingly. Nimra’s frame of mind and her reaction to all this was the most emotional part. Madiha Imam played her role brilliantly, her expressions and her overall performance couldn’t have been more impressive. Faysal Qureshi made you feel for Asfand every step of the way and he also translated those scenes so well on screen which showed that looking out for Nimra was his top priority.
Najeeba and Naila Are Ruthless
These two sisters are the most ruthless characters since they were not satisfied even after Sadia passed away. The way Najeeba looked forward to the news and the manner in which she gossiped about it made me look forward to the time when she will be finally paying for everything she has done. Although I absolutely hate both these characters but I have to say that Saba Hameed and Sundas Tariq both have played their roles so well. These two characters however are so dark, they do not even have an ounce of sympathy for their brother or for anyone else.
The Goodbye Scene
The last scene covering Asfand and Sadia’s final goodbye was extremely poignant. Savera Nadeem and Faysal Qureshi acted superbly and the dialogues were written beautifully too, they were short yet meaningful. It was however strange that Asfand did not run to get the doctor or nurses when Sadia stopped responding. If there was a scene showing the doctor telling Asfand that Sadia was going to leave him any second now before this one, his acceptance of her death would have made more sense.
Nimra Did Not Get To Say Goodbye
It would have been good if Nimra got to say goodbye to her mother when Sadia was awake and responding. Asfand sent her back home and never came for her, will she forgive him for that? The preview of the next episode suggested that this was not going to be an issue but it did seem like it should be.
Overall Impression
I was not expecting Sadia to die in this episode therefore this was a shock for me as well! The way everything was covered was logical since the way Sadia gave up everything altogether, she couldn’t have survived for too long. There were some details which were missing, like how did Sadia convince her doctor and why the doctor did not get in touch with her husband who was regularly coming with her to get the dialysis done. The performances tonight were exceptional and this episode was extremely poignant. Sadia is going to be missed and I feel for Nimra already! Will she be able to survive all the hate which took away her mother’s life? The preview of the next episode showed that Mehwish and Asfand will meet once again. Waiting to see how their track is taken forward from here on. Asfand’s real test begins now!

Nida Yasir and Sanam Jung both are morning show hosts who have been hosting shows for many years now. Usually there is a general impression that morning show hosts are in competition and that they do not get along. Nida Yasir definitely proved everyone wrong there when she made a heartfelt call in Sanam Jung’s last show on HUM.
Nida Yasir did not only wish Sanam Jung well for her future but also said that she had complete faith that Sanam will do very well in the future because she was so talented.
She also said that Sanam Jung was one of her favorite morning show host because of her spontaneity.
Nida also said that she especially liked Sanam because she was intelligent and she knew how to win the hearts of the viewers. She said that in her opinion winning the hearts of the viewers was not easy but Sanam did it without trying too hard.
Sanam also revealed that Nida Yasir had helped her a lot whenever she needed guidance in any way so she was very thankful to her for that.
Sanam Jung has hosted Jago Pakistan Jago for many years now. She has finally decided to bid farewell to the show and she did so in an emotional way. While hosting her last show Sanam Jung cried a lot because she said that it was not easy for her to bid farewell to people who she had been seeing every day for so long now.
Sanam Jung did not tell why she was leaving but she said that HUM’s morning show won’t be airing for some time until they revamp it and are back with something new and better.
Sanam Jung talked about how hosting this show impacted her in different ways. She thanked every single person who had been associated with the show for all these years. She could not stop crying while sharing her experience. Sanam Jung also made the audience emotional because many of them also started crying.
Saba Qamar showed her wardrobe, bedroom and shared personal details about her life while doing so with Farah Sadya. Saba Qamar showed all the gifts which her friends and people who are close to her have given her in the past few years. She also shared that she is best friends with her co-actress Kiran Haq.
Saba Qamar also showed the most expensive clothes item and shows in her wardrobe. She also shared what her go-to make-up products are. Saba Qamar also said that she does not show her bedroom to a lot of people.
She also shared that this is the first time that she let a morning show take such a detailed look in her bedroom.
Saba Qamar said that she had worked really hard to get her own house which was her dream. She decorated her whole house with great love. Saba Qamar is close to her sister who was also there to meet the viewers.
Ohkay so, Dil Mom Ka Diya in my opinion had a complete & a perfect ending. One of the strongest points of Dil Mom Ka Diya was that it consistently remained a good watch. Yes, a few tracks here & there did get a little dragged but the overall progress of the story was great & so was the ending. This drama basically tells that simple stories if done well can really make into good drama to tune to.
Regrets & Realizations:
Tipu did believe that Ulfat turned out to be a good wife but in reality, Ulfat just stayed with Tipu because she learnt her lesson & she knew that all this was happening to her for a reason. It took a long long time for Ulfat to realize that she let go of her biggest blessing herself so now all that was coming her way was her fate & she had to accept it. Even Tipu couldn’t believe that a woman like Ulfat chose to stay by his side through thick & thin but Ulfat had her reasons.
Azhar realized his mistake & he couldn’t forgive himself for doing something so miserable to Tamkinat. Tamkinat who waited for so long for Azhar chose not to see him because like she said, she was entitled to put him through some misery too because what he did was not justified. Everything that Tamkinat said was spot on because she always proved herself to be different than Ulfat but Afzal & Co. could never really come out of that mindset that Tamkinat & Ulfat were two separate individuals & unfortunately, they put them on the same pedestal & judged them both equally. Tamkinat accepted Azhar’s apology but she didn’t immediately forgive him which was absolutely justified.
So, Ulfat went to see Afzal. She knew that he would never return her empty handed. Ulfat knew Afzal too well & that is why when they both met, her tears told the tale of the remorse & regret she was carrying for so many years. What I loved about Ulfat in recent times was that she never once complained as to why she was faced with such a test because she had a clear answer to that question so she was in no position of doing that. I loved that scene where Afzal & Ulfat just looked at each other & cried – it was Afzal’s way of showing that he still loved her or how much he had loved her before & he was in pain seeing her in such a condition & Ulfat’s tears depicted how she was ashamed of what she did & how she was now paying the price of her doings.
The only thing I didn’t really appreciate much about the last episode was the coverage that Aqmal got. They showed that a lot of time had passed already so may be giving Aqmal his own life would’ve been better. Anyways, Aqmal wanted to see Ulfat’s undoing & he got to see that. However, Aqmal felt heavy-hearted as no matter what, both Afzal & Aqmal had shared a bond with Ulfat so to see her in such a condition did make them feel sad.
Tamkinat was welcomed in Azhar’s family whole-heartedly but it was obvious that it will take a while for Tamkinat to forget all those horrible experiences she had in those 4 years when she was forced to live without Azhar.
I really liked how they showed a positive & hopeful ending for Ulfat with Tipu getting better. It is nice to see them showing that despite such a disease there’s always a hope of survival for the patient. Tipu seemed happy & Ulfat was just content because she accepted this life of hers while still being mindful of the fact that she was the one who put herself in this situation so there was no need for her to escape it.
Closing Thoughts – Complete Ending With Superb Performances:
Overall, after watching the last episode of Dil Mom Ka Diya, I felt satisfied. This drama did have a complete ending without any loose ends or plot holes. I must say, I loved the dialogues of this episode – especially Tamkinat’s & Ulfat’s. This episode also had some very powerful performances so much so that I found myself teary eyed too. My favorite scenes have to be the ones where Tamkinat comes outside of her room & sits next to Azhar & the one in Afzal’s office where he & Ulfat just look at each other with all those thoughts runnings through their minds. The direction of Dil Mom Ka Diya was good too but the actors took the level of this drama a notch higher. Neelam Munir was phenomenal as Ulfat & she performed brilliantly. I am sure the casting directors must be proud of themselves for making such a good decision picking Neelam Munir because she did complete justice to Ulfat’s character. Yasir Nawaz is a strong actor so this kind of performance was expected from him & he surely delivered. Imran Ashraf & Hira Mani were brilliant throughout the show too & they always make their performances a treat to watch. DIl Mom Ka Diya had very strong actors to bring this story to the table & they all did complete justice to their characters. Salman Faisal was a surprise package & he made the last few episodes worthwhile. I haven’t seen him act before therefore it came as such a pleasant surprise to see him performing a character like Tipu just so effortlessly. The Pakistani film industry has progressed a lot and one person who has been an active part of the process is Humayun Saeed. Humayun Saeed has produced and acted in a lot of films throughout and his films have been huge hits with critics, audiences as well as the box office collections. The new film which is all set to happen in Love You Jatta and like both the Jawani Phir Nahi Ani movies, it is written by actor/host Vasay Chaudhary. The director is again the very talented Nadeem Baig who has become the most successful director of Pakistan with a hundred percent success rate. Love You Jatta will also see Vasay Chaudhary acting in the film alongside Humayun Saeed. The leading lady and the other supporting cast is yet to be announced.
Like all other Humayun Saeed movie, Love You Jatta will also see an Eid ul Adha release next year!

Aamir Liaquat and his second wife Syeda Tuba Aamir shared various details of their relationship when they were invited as guests on Salam Zindagi. Among other things, Aamir Liaquat’s second wife revealed that Aamir Liaquat was a great cook. Aamir Liaquat also told that he made nihari for his wife on her first day at his place. His wife said that he makes chicken karahi and pastas perfectly too.

Apart from this, she also talked about the kind of relationship they have.

He also cooks for her very often and many delicacies too. She also said that apart from other things, Aamir Liaquat was a great human being. She said that he was greatly misunderstood and no one knew the actual person he was. Dil Aara’s first episode was disturbing, extremely emotional and engaging. This first episode immediately grabbed my attention and I felt an instant connection with the characters. Dil Aara’s troubles, her happy moments, her relationship with her family members and the tension in Nawab Salahuddin’s (Abid Ali) mansion was translated on screen superbly. This drama serial has been written by an ace writer who recently gave us one of the most powerful plays of recent times – Dar Si Jati Hei Sila and it has been directed by one of the most talented directors in the drama industry. The performances in this first episode were beyond remarkable therefore I have huge expectations from this drama.
Impressive Beginning
The overall feel of this first episode was melancholic. The meaningful and sad background score went well with everything which was being shown. This episode covered present day as well as the back story which made it even more interesting. Such beginnings are always more intriguing since the viewers are more eager to find out how the main protagonist landed in the situation he or she is today. All the scenes were written and executed beautifully. Dil Aara’s (Kinza Razzaq) relationship with her father (Muhammad Ahmed) was established so beautifully in this episode because of which his exit from the story had a powerful impact. It isn’t easy to establish such a connection in a short time frame but the writer, the director and the actors involved did their job so well that it felt like you knew these people for the longest time. While Dil Aara’s father was willing to do whatever it took to make his daughter happy, her mother (Samina Ahmed) did not think that investing so much money into her marriage and satisfying the greed of Mohsin’s (Umer Naru) mother was an intelligent thing to do. So far, it looks like Dil Aara’s mother was not entirely looking out for her daughter but perhaps was looking out for her own self and her other daughter too just as much. Mohsin and Dil Aara’s scenes were shot beautifully and were in stark contrast to the wedding which was being held in the present-day.
Dil Aara was full of life, she was carefree and hopeful for the future when she was getting married to Mohsin but now this marriage was like a heavy burden which she was probably carrying because of her mother. The environment in Nawab Salahuddin’s mansion was also captured brilliantly. There was a suffocation in this place, the way Khanum kept a watch on Dil Aara and her dialogues clearly showed that she was the one in control. The cold look on Kinza Razzaq’s face and her body language went perfectly with the situation she was in. I absolutely loved the scenes covering Dil Aara’s relationship with her sister.
Intriguing
This first episode piqued my curiosity because so many questions were left unanswered. Why did Mohsin disappear all of a sudden? Mohsin seemed genuinely in love with Dil Aara so why did he leave her at a time when she needed him the most? Was he also greedy like his mother? Why did Dil Aara agree to this marriage? I definitely want to know more about Khanum and Nawab Salahuddin too.
Overall Impression
Everything about this first episode was picture perfect. The overall feel of Dil Aara’s first episode was mysterious as well as unsettling. The performances were superb and the execution couldn’t have been better. The production values were impressive too. I do feel however that Kinza Razzaq’s make-up could have been better. Every scene was beautifully written and directed. The OST of this play is haunting and it was used effectively throughout. Bee Gul’s plays are always heavy-duty but at the same time they keep you coming back for more. This first episode reminded me of Bunty I Love You. I was completely sold after watching this first episode and can’t wait to tune into the next one.

Aiman Khan shared that Muneeb Butt did not put any restrictions on her as far as her showbiz career was concerned but she herself had no desire to work after marriage. Opening Thoughts – Are Things Ever Going To Change?
Ohkay so, this was yet another average episode of Balaa with nothing much happening & things being one-sided yet again. I think they have used a lot of episodes to establish the fact that Nigar is selfishly evil & she will go to any extreme to make things work only for herself so I am wondering when will the story come to a point where everyone else will find the truth about what she has been doing all this while?
Taimoor Is a Dud:
When I saw the preview last week, I was actually excited that may be Taimoor’s probing will actually bring him to a conclusion that Zafar’s entire family has been lying about the way Batool died but Taimoor didn’t disappoint & proved yet again that he is practically & literally brain-free. All Taimoor had to do was follow the lead of his evil wife to come to a conclusion that Hamza ran off to USA because may be he was caught with Batool? I mean these guys lost a family member in such a tragic way but none of them has done anything to find out the truth? Taimoor was disturbed & riled up but just a half-baked truth was enough for him to forget all about what happened to Batool, how she was killed & move on in his life? This dud had an audacity to doubt his dead sister that may be she was cheating on her husband? Wow!
Nigar met Hamza’s mother & just like that, everything happened according to her plan. The way the writer has made Nigar the mastermind in every single situation now seems forced & unrealistic. I’d say that Nigar is not only evil but she is definitely very very lucky that she is surrounded by such people who are dumb & pure duds because so far no one has been able to put two & two together. I actually thought that Batool’s death will push Taimoor & he won’t sit still until he finds out the truth but he was casually sitting in his office & then also went to pick Nigar up because he believed she was right!?! When did it all become about Nigar & not Batool? Hearing Taimoor say all those things to Shama made me want to bang his head on the wall!!!
Junaid has lost his senses & there’s a slim chance that he will become normal again. I hope he spills the beans & tells the truth to Taimoor & Shama because he is already feeling guilty. Nigar already hates her brother so Junaid should give her all the more reason to do so. Saleha is unwell & now Nigar is set to take revenge from her because she thinks Saleha riled Taimoor up by telling him about the quantity control in kitchen. To be honest, our nazuk mizaj Taimoor did set Nigar straight after finding out about her locking methods, I couldn’t stop laughing as to how low the level of the story has reduced to. I mean Taimoor lost a family member a few days ago & he completely forgot about it because he had bigger & more important things to react upon – doodh, cheeni, patti & ghar ke naukar, lol! Seriously. Nigar lying about Saleha’s condition was again a pathetic situation.

Another Pakistan film is all set to go on floors and it is Yasra Rizvi’s Senti Aur Mental. It is also produced and directed by her. Senti Aur Mental seems like a comedy drama as the name is suggesting. The film was going to start filming a few years back but couldn’t due to unexplained reasons. Yasir Hussain and Yasra Rizvi herself were going to be the lead cast of the film but the time passed and now the cast change has happened as Yasir Hussain will not be playing the lead role opposite Yasra. Yasir Hussain has experience with film making as he has been a part of Karachi Se Lahore series. But now he has been replaced by the Sanwari actor Zain Afzal.
Zain Afzal will now be playing the lead actor opposite Yasra. He has also been a part of a film called Maya which was released in 2015 and now it will be his comeback to the silver screen in 2019. The other cast members include Syed Araiz and Faryal Mehmood.
