Ohkay so, even though the star of the show is back, yes I am talking about the DJ but I will get to him later because first I have a lot of praising to do. I remember one of the commenters said that every 3rd episode of Yeh Raha Dil happens to be amazing & I think this time around I’ll have to agree with that notion because after 2 below average episodes, this one was perfect in every sense. I couldn’t stop smiling throughout this episode because the subtle, situational comedy was a part of it & after boring 2 episodes, to hear such witty & amusing dialogues did make me feel that this episode in particular was written by Mustafa Afridi again. Also, even the scenes which were emotional were executed perfectly that I couldn’t help feel for the characters. This episode, like all the other episodes of Yeh Raha Dil (previous 2 excluded) had all the flavors, some comedy, some serious talks, some emotions & for that reason, I loved it!
I must say I thoroughly enjoyed all the conversations that took place in this episode. Hayat tried to get to the crux of the situation & wanted to understand what was happening between Affaq & Fatima. Even though by the end of the previous episode I was annoyed by Hayat & didn’t like her approach where she tried to talk to Fatima about her personal life but this time around, I liked that she didn’t mind getting slapped & also in stead of speaking to Fatima, she finally spoke to her father to know what was wrong.
Fatima & Affaq’s conversation was written brilliantly as well but what I enjoyed more was the fact that the director didn’t give away everything just yet. Also, for now the writer very intelligently shifted our focus on Fatima & Affaq’s issues & forced us to do some thinking & assume things as to who stands wrong in this relationship. As far as I could comprehend, Fatima has misconstrued something & she is adamant on the fact that Affaq has cheated on her & may be only to get back at him, she got involved with someone else too. The focus on how Affaq believes in staying quiet & not giving explanations was another fact that was highlighted intelligently, because it showed that this trait of Affaq is literally ruining his relationship & he is not going to change himself to make things work. The way Affaq spoke to Hayat went to show that he was hurt that Fatima mistrusted him & assumed that he could cheat on her & because of that, he allowed her to think on those lines without saying anything to prove her wrong.
I think it was quite interesting that both Fatima & Hayat didn’t hold any grudges against each other & in fact, Hayat tried to take this entire matter in her hands because she believes in herself & feels she can fix everything, which I by the way am interested to see. I think this is something that will change Nida’s attitude & perspective towards Hayat. I believe this entire aspect has been added by the writer to bring Nida to that point where she will start seeing Hayat’s niceness & will regret doubting her & her intentions, because no matter how selfish one gets, if someone fixes something so important like their parents’ relationship, nothing else matters anymore. I am sure when Nida will see Affaq & Fatima back together that too because of Hayat, she will realize her mistakes & will give up on the hatred that she has for Hayat too.
Another surprising factor was that it was Hayat who chose to console Fatima when she broke down & not only that, she decided to confront her father for her sake. Where Nida was only bothered about herself & her face saving, Hayat was being considerate about her step mother more. The way the difference between Nida & Hayat’s mentality & perspective was shown was brilliant where Nida thought her father hated Fatima & Hayat could see how much he loved her. Hayat has finally understood her father & she can see that he is hurt & that is why, now she’d do everything to make both Affaq & Fatima fall back in love with each other again, which I think is very sweet. Oh well Mr. Mike, you have no idea that Hayat is chasing after you & she will make sure to throw you out of Fatima’s life, so get ready for some fireworks!
At the moment, I am expecting more from Zaki, like I know he is subtly playing his game only to make Hayat realize her mistakes too but then, something more. It was good that Zaki & Hayat had an interaction in this episode & I guess it was more than enough, for now at least. I enjoyed the conversation that took place between Affaq & his friend/Hayat’s Principal as well, like they were two very good & old friends who were teasing each other & finding humor in their interaction, that entire scene was acted out nicely as well. So, Hassan finally met Affaq & even though Affaq seemed impressed, Hassan left a certain kind of impression on him too. I lol’ed at how even Affaq couldn’t believe that Hayat would choose someone like Hassan for himself but then Zaki distracted him immediately & told him that Hassan’s the one!
For the first time I didn’t mind Hassan’s presence in this episode because it was compensated with other important aspects & characters that I found it alright that he got some coverage. I enjoyed his & Jimmy’s interactions as well where Hassan wanted to make Hayat’s birthday ‘isspecial’ & Jimmy showed him the real picture as to how much that ‘isspecial’ birthday would cost him, lol! So, Hayat was sent to the venue that Hassan & Jimmy chose & I think Jimmy did a huge favor to Hassan & to us all by sending the best DJ in town to steal the show again. I couldn’t stop laughing at his antics & I liked the fact that the DJ had some dialogues this time around as well where he got a chance to explain how he’s a master of his trade & how he’d help Hassan with his proposal as well. I wish I could’ve enjoyed his dancing a bit more but the episode ended but I am most certainly looking forward to his ‘isspecial’ geet that he’ll sing during Hayat’s entry. I say Isspecial thanks so much Ehtashamuddin by making the viewers of Yeh Raha Dil laugh out loud. You once again stole the show!
Overall, I loved this episode of Yeh Raha Dil, like it just made me happy. If this keeps up, I don’t mind seeing a lot more episodes of this drama as well but I think they are now headed towards the ending but with the right approach. I can’t wait to see Hayat & Zaki’s confrontation too & also, Haroon is going to make an appearance so yes, I am actually quite excited for the next episode. Ehtashaamuddin of course & then Adnan Jaffar definitely stole the show in this episode. It is amusing how comfortable Jimmy gets with everyone around him, like Hassan was quite skeptical but Jimmy acted all friendly with him to let him know that he is rooting for him & Hayat as well. I love how Anum Goher & Ayesha Sana have commonality when it comes to overall styling & personality, like both Fatima & Nida are always well put together, blingy & well-dressed, like they scream mother daughter duo to me. For the first time I enjoyed others performances more than Yumna Zaidi’s but that doesn’t mean she didn’t do her bit well. Anyways, please share your thoughts about this episode of Yeh Raha Dil.
Keep Supporting,
Cheers, Zahra Mirza.
Edited to add: I missed the first minute of the episode as I was tuning to the live streaming, so I missed the fact that the confrontation between Hayat & Fatima was just an imagination of Hayat & it didn’t actually happen. Now that I watched the episode again after it has uploaded, I realized that the confrontation between Hayat & Fatima didn’t take place. Kindly, ignore the mistake. :)

Faiza Iftikhar is coming again with a love story and we can’t be more excited. We fell in love with Dillagi and now we might fall again for Shayad. The play has a strong cast including Uzair Jaswal, Sadia Khan and Noman Ijaz.
While talking to Reviewit, Faiza gave an insight to the story; she said: “Shayad is a humble story of love where Saad (played by Uzair) gets on a journey of his love travelling by the road of immaturity to reach the destination of maturity. The story is packed with emotions and feelings one can feel to their core.”
She further said: “I wrote the script back in 2015 but we had to wait for the right cast as the main protagonist transforms from 16 years to 24 years which I later changed the former to 19 years.”
Uzair will play Saad in Shayad and we are extremely excited to see him back on screens after MoraySaiyyan. On the other hand Sadia will be our Haani. Here are some BTS pictures from the sets of Shayad:
Baber Javed has produced the drama. This will not be the first time the writer and producer are working together. Babar has previously directed Roag, Tishnagi and Diya Jalay and produced Ek Nayi Cinderella, Thakkan and Virasat among some other projects which are all written by Faiza.So the dream team has united again and we can wait for another earth-shaking hit. With a fresh pairing, excellence of Noman Ijaz and Faiza’s magic we are sure Shayad will be a must-watch. The play will air on GEO TV and is directed by Syed Ali Raza Usama.
On 7 July 2017 PEMRA banned Igloo’s advertisement from airing on any local television network because the ice-cream commercial contained objectionable content. The strongly seductive nature of the ad was considered inappropriate for the Pakistani audiences.
Despite this ban, ARY continued airing this ad which has resulted in the channel itself receiving a notice from PEMRA. They have been asked to submit an answer within four days and stop airing the ad immediately. Here is the copy of the show-cause notice:
Sunn Yara did really well and kept the audience hooked through out. Danish Nawaz did a very good job with directing Sunn Yara starring Hira Mani and Junaid Khan. The play also stars Asim Mehmood who plays Talal’s younger brother Khurram.
The director Danish Nawaz will be joining hands with Asim Mehmood again for a new project Paimmany. Asim will play the role of Ahson. The play will focus on the relationship of a brother and sister who have a lot of love and understanding but the sister does something under the influence of her friend which is played by Fatima Effendi which will turn Asim hostile towards his on-screen sister. The drama is produced by Six Sigma Plus and is written by Rukhsana Nigar.
The play also stars Fatima Effendi, Farhan Ali Agha, Eshal, Imran Ashraf and Asad Siddiqui besides Asim Mehmood. It will air on Urdu 1.
“Geo Sir Utha Kay” is a film under the banner of Cheema Films and is introduced as an action thriller based on the life of Chotu Gang of Rajanpur. The movie’s item song was marketed as the item song of the year. This is the movie’s official poster.
The cast of Geo sir Utha Kay includes Babar Ali, Umar Cheema, Yasir Khan, Naeem Khan, Areeba Khan, Shafqat Cheema, Nayyer Ijaz, Ahmad Qaynaat, Rana Rashid Mehmood Arshad and debutante Shehryar Khan as the lead actor.
They have just released their item song Daku Rani‘s teaser and you will wonder what is this cheap piece of entertainment? It is quite vulgar with Mahnoor wearing quite an obscene dress and Nayyer Ijaz and Shafqat Cheema ogling her, while she is doing the same with Babar Ali, who seems disinterested in the whole fireworks and pole dancing by her.
Have a look at what is apparently an amalgam of bits and pieces from various item songs of Bollywood and then thrown together in a very uncoordinated way;
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=x__GczOoBo4
Their is fire erupting out of nowhere, poles keep appearing like univited probes, the girl is skimpily dressed and her moves are very cheap.
The movie is set to release on 11th of August, so lets see how that comes across. Better than this, we hope…

Atif Aslam is a name associated both within Pakistan and abroad with music, fame and success. He reached heights of wonder with Woh Lamhe Woh Batein and never looked back since then.
There have been many singers who have recently came and made a mark but it is hard to budge Atif Aslam as the reigning king of music in Pakistan. In 2008, he was awarded with Tamgha e Imtiaz, the fourth highest honour that is given to a civilian to acknowledge his achievements.
With all the awards and fame under his belt, Atif is still very humble and grounded and that is part of his charm. Recently, during a concert in Dallas, where he was enjoying the popularity of a king, with people cheering for him left, right and centre, he put up a very philosophical post about it all. With the picture showing him a a true shining star in the dark night of the world’s super power, Atif Aslam writes;
“Interesting how life surprises you. When I didn’t have enough money to buy my first guitar and today how fans spend money to watch my show. Bayshak izat aur zilat Allah k haath mein hai.”
This is such a powerful and yet such a humble sentence coming from the mega star who is remembering his past and being in awe of the heights that he himself did not think he would achieve one day.
Here are some of the pictures of that concert that is making Atif nostalgic about the time when all this was a dream to him;
Jimmy Khan has brought music and fashion together. The fusion that he has brought forward is what we can almost never forget. This time, after a long wait, he has come up with a new Electric song “Madame”.
Talking about his venture into music again, Khan said:
“For me, now that I think about it, it’s hard-hitting to know that people expect something from you. At one point, when nobody really knew me, there was nothing. Madame is a song with which I’ve ventured into a completely new dimension, and what I enjoyed the most, is that it is something that was not expected from me. I’m not trying to alter myself to expectations.”
“It’s not just a transition, it’s a dual role on purpose, and something I’ve added onto my wagon from what it only used to be. I’ve also indulged into commercial, mainstream music now, which is off the brand ‘Jimmy Khan’. I write for myself, but I do commission work as well.”
Madame was written a year ago, but wasn’t released due to some reservations. Clarifying his stance, he further said:
“It was a composition I worked with my very dear friend and lyricist, Danial last year and while writing it, or even when you’ll hear it, it could be very generic; it could be about anything. I honestly wasn’t in the mood to release it right now, but when Zain took it to the studio; played the electric guitar, he wanted to rearrange my sound as well and it was very interesting, the direction he wanted to take it in.”
Jimmy Khan is currently working along the lines of releasing a new album in the near future. We wish him all the best and believe that he will revive the pop music scene once again.
“The Gypsy Soul Will Sing It Down In To You” – and ‘Kaifo Suroor’ will make sure that you can’t breathe the whole time. On Aima Baig’s voice, Sadaf Kanwal’s exotic moves will take you to the realm of sultry appearances and haute looks, signature to Na Maloom Afrad.
In the teaser of the movie’s item song, Sadaf Kanwal has taken our breaths away:
Though the whole figure can’t be clearly seen, it is quite apparent that the physique and those pouted lips definitely belong to Kanwal. With few moves and utter grace, Na Maloom Afrad has left us guessing for what already it has in store for us. The whole song isn’t out yet, but we wish to see the standard and the bar it is going to set for the music in Pakistani industry.
But, once again, people are questioning the industry as to why it is so heavily influenced from that of across the border? Let us leave the defending to the producers and directors of NMA 2.
Adnan Siddiqui is the veteran and one of the most popular Pakistani actors of all time. It wouldn’t be wrong to say that he has instilled values to our entertainment industry from its inception. With MOM, he has also proved his mettle across the border too.
In his recent interview with the Indian publication IANS, Siddiqui shared his experience of Mom and the reviews that he has received in Pakistan:
“A good product is well-received everywhere. People here in Pakistan have loved the film and are ecstatic about the collaboration between the two nations.”
Alike Fawad Khan, Mahira Khan and Saba Qamar, he and Sajal also couldn’t promote their film in India due to thriving political tension between the two countries. Expressing his grief, he further said:
“Obviously it is a sad feeling when you are not able to promote a project you have spent tiring days and nights working on. But then you are relieved that the promotion lies in more than capable hands, for the likes of Sridevi and Nawaazuddin Siddiqui and Akshaye Khanna.”
Furthering the stance that people of both countries resent the situation, Siddiqui argued:
“I wouldn’t go as far as saying there’s resentment to this situation. But I would agree it is hurting the relations between artists of both the countries. The politics may steer a situation in any direction but the people of both countries love and respect art for what it is. They don’t see passports when they purchase a ticket, they see a film.”
Adnan Siddiqui is also of the view that it is art that can only bring people of India and Pakistan together:
“No matter how hard people try, our cultural ties will come out strong. We share more than just the colour of our skins, we share history, we share values, we share customs and it is just a matter of time we will start sharing our artists, directors, writers, technicians on a large scale too. I honestly believe we can find peace in art.”
“People of the both countries are smart enough not get themselves into politically incorrect situations. My production of Seeta Bagri was extremely well perceived and people in Pakistan supported its message of tolerance and brotherhood.”
Regardless of the situation between the two countries, Mom has fared exceptionally well in cinemas. We wish hordes of congratulations to Adnan and team for acing the movie.
“Bewafai ati hai tumhe, chor dene ke tareeqe nahi atay!” Loved this dialogue because it explained Faris’ state of mind so well. This man wants closure badly, he is desperate to end this relationship in a way which he thinks is “right”. This last meeting won’t heal his heart but it will perhaps give him a certain degree of control over the whole situation. Love the way Sami Khan has breathed life into this beautiful character and made it even more appealing. Sami Khan is at the top of his game in this play and he has clearly overshadowed all the other actors, at least for now. Mansha Pasha too is making her presence felt with a performance which is subtle yet effective and completely in line with the character she is playing. Imran Ashraf is another actor who is continuously seen in different characters yet he manages to nail every single one of them. Although he got little screen time in tonight’s episode too but these scenes went to show that Tipu has a bigger role to play in the story.
This was another powerful episode of Tau Dil Ka Kya Hua which was directed brilliantly. I am certain that I am not the only one who looks forward to Faris’ scenes and finds his track much more interesting than that of Saif and it is not because Faris is the good guy here but because the different shades of his personality have been penned down and translated on screen so well. You understand instantly what is going through Faris’ mind even when he appears on screen for a few seconds. Like in tonight’s episode, as he was headed towards his office, the expressions on his face clearly showed that he was trying very hard to calm the chaos in his mind while he tried to stay focused. The credit for this goes to the director as well for keeping a keen eye on minor details. The scene in which Faris ends up throwing the cake on Maya’s portrait was another skillfully directed scene, the timing of every action and dialogue was perfect, but too bad this scene had already been shown in the promos therefore his reaction didn’t have the shock value which this scene could have had. The scene from the morning which followed this depressing night was completely different and the decision by Faris to go to work and get things done showed that side of his character which make it more interesting.
The conversation between Faris and Tipu was another one which I really enjoyed watching and listening to. Faris’ phone call to Maya and the insistence that she should take her part of the share was yet another way for Faris to make himself believe that he still had control over some things. Maya does not care about the money or her position, she only wants to be with Saif. When I saw the promos, I was wondering why would a man throw a divorce party but now given Faris’ state of mind this party makes perfect sense. This would be his way of saying the final goodbye because Maya has given him no other choice.
Am I the only one who feels that there are times when Zahid Ahmed goes overboard. His acting looks a lot like acting at times and there is nothing natural about it. The only scene in tonight’s episode when his acting was right on point was the one in which Muzna’s father threatened him, otherwise I did not find his performance too impressive. The whole situation surrounding his track however is intriguing enough. I really liked the conversation Faris had with Dariya about how their uncle might pressurize them to get married once he gets divorced, I am glad this issue was addressed and it was shown that Faris can predict what will happen once his marriage comes to an end. Muzna’s track so far has to be the most unappealing one and reminds me of Jia’s track in MTSNH.
Looking forward to the next episode of TDKKH and waiting to see how the story unfolds in the upcoming episode. How many of you watched this episode? Do share your thoughts about it.

Kubra Khan has also amassed many fans, considering the short period of time she has been around. Watch how she is rehearsing her dance number for Hum Tv Awards Show with Ahsan Khan ;

Mahira Khan also wished the young girl well on her birthday and appreciated her spirit with a powerful message, asking Malala to show us the way.
Malala, as it turned out, is also a Mahira Khan fan and praised her acting in Bin Roye;
After receiving this sweetest answer from Malala, reciprocating the love Mahira had shown her, Mahira also replied with an equally sweet concluding tweet;
A weapon is something that can be used in defense or offense to someone. It is wise for everyone to keep some kind of weapon in case they need to use it. Sanam Jung has always promoted women to take stand for themselves and stand tall. In the video below she tells what exactly she believes is a woman’s best weapon. What are your guesses?
A lot of people disagree with this weapon choice but no one can argue on how deadly it is. Let us give you a little more insight of the video below…it talks about 2 weapons. Watch it below and tell us which one do you thinki is more deadlier? Or do you have any other in mind?
Faisal Qureshi is one of the most experienced and talented actors of our drama industry. He has worked with multiple actresses and has also received a lot of appreciation from not only his audience but also other actors. There is no doubt that every actor and actress works hard and gives their level best to the projects they work in but some are better than others. Fahad Mustafa thinks so too and so he asked Faisal who is the best amongst the actresses he has worked next to.That’s a million dollar question, isn’t it? Receiving the stamp of approval from this experienced actor is a huge thing. Something the actress can even show off! Watch the video below to find what name Faisal Qureshi took:
There are few things as interesting as siblings who are celebrity. Why? Well, you get to know the embarrassing childhood stories from one sibling then! They are practically two sides of the same coin! It’s true that we love to hear anything and everything about the childhood of our favourite celebrities. No one can argue that siblings share a very special bond and act as a shield from the outside world for one another, support one another and help one another out. Nida Yasir rounded up a few celebrity siblings on her show recently. She had very heart touching information about each pair. Watch the video below to find out what she said:
When two artists work together in a film, they develop a special relation with one another. After all, they spend so much time together, discuss so many things together, go through similar circumstances so a bond is definitely formed. And once the shooting of the film has come to an end, the promotional period starts which these stars attend together too. Bilal Ashraf and Armeena Khan starred in the film Yalghaar that was released this Eid. Naturally, these actors got close too and this is what HSY asked Bila Ashraf in his show. He, like us, wanted to know the relation between the two. Watch the video below to find out what his answer was. It left HSY laughing.

The soon-to-be singer Danyal Zafar might very well be known as the brother of Ali Zafar, but he has got some balls of talent on this court too. The artist is making his debut with Coke Studio Season 10 and he is already floating above the clouds with excitement and joy. The singer cum guitarist and songwriter will be giving new life to two old songs in Pakistan’s leading musical series.
While expressing his delight over the much awaited debut, Zafar in conversation with the local publication house said:
“I always dreamt of a debut that could best help me express myself as an artist in such a way that my music could also connect with people. There are two aspects to this, one: the platform where you launch your music, this is where I was lucky enough to be considered worthy of appearing on Coke Studio – a dream comes true. Two: the music itself. He added, “Sometimes when you are working on a song that’s already been created, it’s a gamble – whether or not it’s going to be something you’ll like or whether is it true to your essence as a musician or not. I am glad that I have been very fortunate in both instances.”
Getting such a huge chance on almost no experience he said:
“As far as my experience is concerned, it was like these two extremes, on one end there was this slight pressure and nervousness – the fact that musicians I’ve grown up listening to are right there, watching and waiting for me to prove myself. And when it happened, it was just so overwhelming.”
Appreciating the efforts that are being put by everyone, on and off the stage, in Coke Studio Zafar chimed:
“Everyone involved, on and off the stage, was so amazing in their own individual capacity as artists, they empowered me so much and by the time we got done I was in this surreal state of trance. I couldn’t hear anything, all the post recording banter was suddenly in super slow-mo, voices fading out like I was in a movie. It took me a while to absorb everything. I am very exciting about putting my work out there and to growing as a musician in the years to come.”
We wish Danyal Zafar all the best for his impending debut, and hope that he is going to be a rock-star like this brother.
