Taking inspiration from something and adapting it is fine, but you have taken it in a way that when the first teaser was out whole country started screaming Judai Judai so then u have copied it that I didn’t sign on for. I would never want to take part in a plagiarized play”

Zahid Ahmed came to Sanam Jung’s morning show Jago Pakistan Jago for promotions of his play Daldal. The show was a bit different than normal morning show fiascos. It was an interview with the actor and Sanam asked him a lot of questions about his personal life. Zahid also gave an insight into his personal life.
Zahid has two sons Zaviyar 3 and Zayaan 1. His wife Amna is a business woman and she runs a facebook store which deals with women bags and similar stuff. Zahid told Sanam that his wife has always been very self-sufficient and does not want to endorse her work in any way as she believes in doing her business on her own.
He also told Sanam that he has started refraining from being too active on social media now as he believes the distance between an actor and his audience should be maintained. Zahid Ahmed will be sharing the screen with the gorgeously talented and prominent Saba Qamar. Zahid signed his first film, Sorry – The Love Story, but the film is still on hold. Zahid’s quality as an actor is he chooses the character that many will dismiss. The role of Sameer – Sameera in his recent drama Ishq Zah-e-Naseeb is a great example.
The shooting of the film will start at the end of February in Karachi. “If I were to look at the story and the character on offer with the same lens that I use to judge offers on television, I would have probably said no to this film because this is out and out commercial, comedy entertainer,” Zahid admits. “But the decision to ultimately do this was also because of the same reasons – a good entertainer with a good level of comedy that strays away from slapstick, goofy and crassness. Having a co-star like the amazing Saba Qamar, a good writer, strong director, and a holistically well-known production were some of the other reasons that drew me towards this project. This is me finally putting myself out there, stepping into the arena with a very safe bet.”

Zahid Ahmed talks about working with Khalil-ur-Rehman in the future and he shared how he won’t work with him if Qamar doesn’t change his behaviour.
He said, “I have worked very closely with him in drama serial ‘Zara Yaad Kar’ and ‘Tou Dil Ka Kya Huwa’. We have very close discussions and he is somebody who is very close to me in my profession.”
“I respect and care for him and even the entire country celebrates his talent. Because of this association and closeness with Khalil Sahab, this kind of behaviour cant be accepted by anyone and this is out of control. So you must apologize from that lady and from the entire country that he misbehaved and in anger, he used language which must not be used by anyone. He must say sorry for his behaviour.”
“If Khalil Sahab won’t work on his attitude and he keeps on defending this attitude there will come a point that I and other people from the industry will boycott from him and won’t work with him,” Zahid Ahmed said clearly.
He further added, “This time he has come on national television and made remarks about somebody’s body. I value him and care about him and this is why I am saying that you must apologize so please work on these things. I will not work on his script if he won’t apologize and I will take a stand if he refuses to apologize and continues with this behaviour. Although he is not the last writer of this world.”

I am the child of my mother who was a teacher, fighter and brilliant woman even if she wasn’t, look around you man there are only two genders of human species. She is also a woman in love and the combination of the two is deadly. I love doing challenging characters which have many shades. Asma is a real woman with true emotions and not just a symbol of evil or good. I was intrigued by the various colors in her personality and that is what drew me to this play”.

His co-star is Zara Noor Abbas and the drama will show the progress of disease in a man suffering from Frontotemporal Dementia. How he loses his memories and himself within a span of 8-10 years. The young age dementia is a topic he has not seen on Pakistani television. The drama is written by Rida Bilal and directed by Adnan Sarwar. It will air on Express TV.
