Drama serial Raaz-e-Ulfat got the spotlight because of its stellar cast. Starring Yumna Zaidi as Mushk, Shehzad Sheikh as Irtaza, Komal Aziz Khan as Sehba, and Gohar Rasheed as Ismail, the expectation bars of the audience was very really high.

Drama serial Raaz-e-Ulfat was verily another typical love story, but the plot twists kept the audience hooked. The story revolved around the character of Mushk belonging to a conservative household, who goes to university to complete her education. She makes a friend Sehba, an outgoing and modern girl. Mushk starts looking up to Sehba.

Mushk meets Irtaza a handsome rich brat. Irtaza falls in love with Mushk at the first sight. Things got trounce when Mushk stood up against her family and divulged that she wants to marry Irtaza.

Somehow families of both Irtaza and Mushk agree, but Sehba stops the wedding by proving Mushk drab through her evil planning.

Irtaza’s family denies accepting Mushk exact on the wedding day, and Mushk’s family gets her married to Ismail, his father’s colleague, who himself is the father of two children and brother of a mentally unstable sister. Ismail being the nicest of all respects Mushk and loves her. Mushk also develops a soft corner for him, but in her heart she still loves Irtaza.

Sheba who has now cleared her path gets engaged to Iratza, but on the exact day of their marriage, everyone encountered the reality that how Sehba made Irtaza and Mushk fall apart. Irtaza turns back to Mushk asking for forgiveness. Mushk in all her helplessness and love start responding to him. Mushk takes the decision of leaving Ismail and spending her life with the love of her life Irtza and leaves Ismail’s house.

In the last episode, Mushk reverts her decision, realizes her love for Ismail and children, and gets back to Irtaza. Sehba who was admitted to the hospitals in a critical state dies. Mushk who has now realized the literal meaning of love and respect starts living a happy and contented life with Ismail.

Upcoming Film Raasta is directed by Sahir Lodhi and also produced by him along with Moid Ul Hasan and Dr Faisal Zia. it will be Sahir’s debut film, The rest of the cast includes Shamoon Abbasi, Naveed Raza, Sana Nawaz, Aijaz Aslam, Saleem Mairaj, Abeer Rizvi and Saima Azhar in pivotal roles.

The teaser of the film was released earlier this month and now the official trailer has been released. It is an extended version of all the teasers released till date. The trailer has action, drama, revenge, love and blood. The film is all set to release on February 24, 2016.

Sahir Lodhi’s Raasta received majorly negative reviews and even upon that, we are hearing that a sequel is in order.

Raasta (راستہ) is a film featuring the famous media person old Sahir Lodhi as director, producer, writer and main hero. 48 year old Sahir Lodhi has worked as a host, actor, RJ on television and dramas and is now appearing on big screen. It is the first film of Sahir Lodhi in each aspect and made for a social cause. As per Sahir Lodhi all the profit of the film will be used to construct a hospital in Karachi for the unprivileged sections of the society. So apart from entertaining the public Sahir Lodhi is also doing social work.

The release date of Raasta is now confirmed in a press conference in Karachi last week. It will release on the Republic Day of Pakistan on Friday 23rd March 2017.

Raaja Rani is Hum TV’s prime-time drama serial starring Faysal Quraishi and Hina Afridi in the lead roles. The supporting cast includes Arez Ahmed, Haris Waheed, Javed Sheikh, and others. Raaja Rani is Faysal Quraishi starrer drama currently on-air on Hum TV. The drama is a bit different as Faysal is not playing a typical hero character. According to a local publication, a source close to Qurram has confirmed the collaboration, saying that the track will be a soulful song with Qurram’s signature modern sound.

This will be the second song of Qurram Hussain for Cornetto Pop Rock Season 2. The report also states that Qurram is also the voice of Bilal Ashraf in the soundtracks of the musical film Rangreza which is all set to release this year.

In this day and age feminism has become a hot topic and somewhat a trend so regardless of whether one knows the meaning of it or not, they call themselves that. Many have have simply labeled themselves feminist to escape the onslaught of criticism they’d undoubtedly receive if they said otherwise.

According to the oxford dictionary, feminism is:

The advocacy of women’s rights on the ground of the equality of the sexes.

A lot of social media warriors twist and turn the meaning of the word for their own gain and sometimes even feuds are started about its meaning in different contexts.

Furthermore, we have this disease of just wanting to prove ourself right whether we are right or wrong. We want to prove the other party that we are much more intelligent than them and so we can win against them even if what we stand for is wrong.

Drama serial, Humsafar changed the game for many artists, and one of these lucky artists is the super talented Quratulain Baloch (also known as QB). She is one of the most unique and distinctive voices out there, and for that reason, she is one my favourites.

Talking to Express Tribune, QB shared quite a bit about her work and experiences as a female singer.
Recently, she did a song, Aar Ya Paar, for Cornetto Pop Rock which was performed in Islamabad earlier this month. This was penned by the ambitious singer herself and produced by Noori. The song is special for QB, ”Not having a grasp on the language, I was able to pull off my philosophical take on life, my feelings and inspirations and how I have perceived myself as a human being.”
QB speaks highly of Noori, “When two crazy idealistic people meet, something extraordinary happens and this is what happened with our collaboration. It could not have been possible without the influence the band has had on all of us”.

About her over all journey and experience, “Our society is such that people want to be entertained by female singers but they don’t want their daughters singing. I’ve been very lucky in that department because I feel that there aren’t many female singers in Pakistan. Now is the perfect time for female singers to put themselves out there.”

Pakistani Singer, Quratulain Baloch (QB) had a car accident on February 2nd while she was on her way to airport for her trip. The accident took place at  Kent near Zakir Tiqqa-Lahore. She was immediately taken to the CMH from where she was released, though she complained about having a severe pain in her spinal cord. Finding the severity of the issue, She was then taken to the National hospital on February 4th where it was find that the wounds are serious.  Husnain Alam, One of her band members was also present in her car during the accident, who luckily is better now after experiencing minute injuries.

According to the reveals made by her manager, Quratulain Baloch will be having her spinal cord surgery tomorrow,that is, February 10th. Due to the mishap, all her current engagements have been postponed for an indefinite time.

We pray for her quick recovery, may she get well soon,

I even have a few people keeping an eye on him, but I don’t have the habit of checking phones or laptops. There are ways to keep a check on your child so that he doesn’t get irritated or becomes a rebel—you should give your kids space. I don’t chase after him because he’s an adult now, and his friends are quite mature. Besides that, I pray for him. I’m not strict, though once I tried to hit him—but I couldn’t go through with it.”

Qurat ul Ain Iqrar further added, “I don’t shop for Pehlaaj anymore because now he chooses what he likes. He prefers to do his shopping himself.”

She also said, “Now, Pehlaaj can travel alone, but his first solo trip was with his grandmother and uncle. We should give our children space and allow them to travel alone because they have to lead a life on their own. We need to make them independent. Let your kids start their lives.”
