There are some celebrities who are not Pakistani but are still considered as so because of their old roots. Zayn Malik is one such star. Recently the ex one direction star gave an interview to the British Vogue. On getting asked about whether he is a Muslin or not he replied that he does not consider himself to be one. People were surprised and the Twitter went into a frenzy. Zayn has a knack for throwing social media into a frenzy it seems. Previously it happened when he announced his decision of leaving One Direction 1D. Then it was his breakup with then-fiance Perrie Edwards and now his recent statement has caused people to rush in a surprise. Here is what he said:

Cousin marriages are highly prevalent in the Pakistani society. Many people consider it a safe option for their daughters as they know the man and feels their daughters would be happier in a known environment. Such relationships are widely shown in Pakistani dramas too like we saw in Chupke Chupke and is currently watching in Mere Humsafar. Ushna Shah has also played such characters as we saw her playing in Balaa.

These marriages are becoming a huge cause of abnormalities in children. Thalassemia is a major problem in Pakistan today with many children living their  lives with thalassemia major. Ushna also expressed that Pakistanis need to understand this possibility and urged the actors to stop romanticizing cousin marriages so much.

Shahroz Sabzwari and Sadaf Kanwal’s nikkah aroused a spark on social media that instantly spread like wildfire. People began bashing Sadaf for being responsible for Shahroz and Syra’s divorce. Sadaf was called a home wrecker and Shahroz a cheater.

However, to clarify that Sadaf had nothing to do with Syra and Shahroz separating and that Shahroz had not cheated on Syra, Shahroz Sabzwari himself took to his social media to defend himself and his family against all allegations.

Shahroz said he had all the right to defend himself and his now wife, Sadaf, from all the false allegations and challenged anyone to bring forth any proof if they had.

Shahroz’s video went viral within seconds and people have now started to give the issue a rest stating if Shahroz sweared upon Allah and his Messenger, it is indeed between him and Allah now.

Coke Studio is back with season 10. As for previous years Coke Studio always opens with a patriotic song. This time however Coke Studio chose to chorus the National Anthem. All the line up has participated in performing the Anthem. Many people are naturally impressed with the performance as it is our National Anthem. PSL is a league that brings not only cricket but also entertainment to the country every year. All the franchises bring international players as well as world class anthems sung by the most in demand singers to buck up their players and cheer their fans.

The latest one is from Lahore Qalandars being lead by Shaheen Shah Afridi this year. Though it is the only team to never have won a PSL title but they always entertain and cheer their fans. This years Qalandars anthem is sung by Abrar ul Haq and the video has made people smile and laugh.

With a truly different concept, Qalandar players are grooving to their own tune and people are in love. Check out the Qalandars anthem here:

Neray Neray Vas is a collaboration between Butt Brothers and Soch The Band. The song has a kicking beat and a complete Punjabi feel to it. The video is reminiscent of old school Coke Studio with musicians and singers standing on the floor and enjoying the beats.
