The tension has escalated between the neighbouring countries Pakistan and India after India without any evidence started blaming Pakistan for Pulwama Attack. Since then things have been going in a very wrong direction and got even worse when Indian Airforce tried to enter Pakistan crossing the LOC. Indian artists were busy in the typical jingoism after that but Pakistani artists have been promoting peace.
Many of our stars have expressed their love for their country and have also been talking about the importance of peace and how war is not the answer. From Mahira Khan to Armeena Rana Khan, our stars have shown the world how important peace is. Here are a few of the messages:
Celebrities all over the world and in any showbiz industry are known for their talent, projects as well as their style. Many stars have a signature style which you can always connect to them. Like you can ask anyone about Kim Kardashian signature style and they will tell you its nude, brownish undertone makeup and outfits. Similarly, you if you hear the name of Bollywood star Vidya Balan, a picture of her clad in a traditional saari will come to your mind. We also have similar signature styles among Pakistani celebrities. Check out:
1. Hamza Ali Abbasi:
Hamza Ali Abbasi is known to wear black shalwar kameez wherever he goes. It is his signature fit and he actually brought it back among Pakistani men. He even wore his signature black shalwar kameez on his valima.
2. Mahira Khan:
Though Mahira does change her style a little bit depending on the projects she is doing but minimum foundation with a red lip is Mahira Khan’s signature look and you will see her repeat it time and again. She even wore it to her first outing at Cannes Film Festival.
3. Urwa Hocane:
Urwa Hocane has found her comfort in white and her signature style is a white outfit paired with a non makeup-makeup look.
4. Mehwish Hayat:
Mehwish Hayat loves glam. If Mehwish is attending an event, she will go for the full glam look. Mehwish does not seem to be a fan of no-makeup makeup looks and opts for the shimmers in her makeup as well as outfits. Mehwish is also seen in beautiful shimmery gowns on her public appearances. Another thing connected to her style.
5. Zara Noor Abbas:
Zara Noor Abbas does experiment with her styling but one of her favourite looks we have seen her opting often is baggy and boxy clothing. She avoids going for tight fitting dresses.
6. Humayun Saeed:
Humayun is not only consistent with his success and performances, he ia also consistent in his style sense. He is looking the same for years and we often see him in black suits with his signature beard and hair.
7. Hareem Farooq:
Long luscious hair side-parted and curled at the ends paired with a traditional outfit is how Hareem Farooq has been since her debut. And as they say why change anything that works.
8. Aima Baig:
Many call her Pakistan’s Ariana Grande as she is very petite with a powerful voice. Aima has found her signature style and she opts for very edgy looks and always maintains a rock star’s look.
9. Samina Ahmed:
Samina Ahmed is a legend of Pakistani industry who has also made her way to Hollywood successfully. Her beautiful earth toned saaris are just unforgettable and will make you think of her whenever you think about one.
10. Meesha Shafi:
Meesha not only has strong vocal range, she also has a strong sense of fashion. Think of Meesha and you will imagine someone with ethnic and edgy clothing and jewellery. She is also a fan of colour and is never afraid to wear a pop of colour.
Though many of our female stars have found their place on the fashion spectrum and have their own signature sense of style and looks, the male stars need to look away from contoured beard, spiky standing hair and find something unique which can make them stand out!

There are about hundreds of people who are been killed in Pakistan daily, becoming a victim of political instability and a complete absence of law enforcement. It is far easy to become a terrorist than to be a doctor or engineer here in Pakistan, thanks to the readily available cheap weapons, and make money by killing people, snatching their mobile belongings and kidnapping people for ransom.
It was previously Hasan Ahmed who was kidnapped for ransom, Sajjal Ali, who was threatened to pay a certain amount to the mafias, and it is now Pakistani stage actress Aarzoo who is brutally killed in Multan.
As per the news, the actress got shot on Saturday night, that is, September 29th when she returned from her stage. The family suspects Ahsaan, the man she was living with, for the murder though the actual story is yet not revealed. It is again nothing new to see this side of our stage actresses who do not believe in the boundaries that are been drawn by the religion this country follows, neither do they care about the society they live in.
The victim’s post mortem was held at Nishtar Hospital, Multan, which stated that Aarzoo Khan was twice shot.
See news here:
Aarzoo Khan was well-known by the stage lovers and enjoyed fame for her live acting and dance. She started her career while, still being in her early age.

Reviewit is your one-stop for authentic and trending entertainment news in Pakistan since the year 2012. From pioneering reviewing dramas to bringing you all the trending stories from the industry, Reviewit has always stood its ground to be a professional, unbiased, and relevant portal since its inception.
Yes, we understand plagiarism is not considered a crime in Pakistan and the disease has spread so much that one can get to the highest positions without ever being called out. But remember authenticity is what makes a portal credible and the originality of the editorial team is important to stay relevant for a longer period of time. Yes, we at Reviewit understand that others can get “inspiration” from the content we create but blatantly “copying” is unacceptable, even in this part of the world.
Our team is known for its professionalism where we always give credit when we pick up a piece of exclusive news from another portal but our sister portals have probably forgotten the basic ethics of journalism as they are blatantly copying our news and articles just after we post them and some are even copying our exact same statements.
So, a few humble suggestions from Reviewit would be that like our team watches every show to extract the clips that become viral news. You can also watch those yourself and maybe even get some new things to post. Or better yet, you can credit the people who actually brought that news forward.
As is written above, Reviewit believes in authenticity and posting with credits, here are some examples of social media portals copying our news blatantly. Maybe this will bring some basic journalistic ethics back into our sister portals and they will start giving as much tie to working on their own as much they are spending on pressing copy-and-paste buttons.
Here is a list of those media portals and even websites which are blatantly copy content from reviewit without giving any credit:
These are the screenshots from the past two to three days only. The above-mentioned portals have been copying entire entertainment content and text from Reviewit for years. We tried to reach out to them but they did not address our concerns therefore we had no choice but to call them out in this manner. Maybe now the people running these portals will wake up and smell the coffee that’s been brewing for quite a while now. We have a lot of respect for all the social media portals and therefore we never hold back while giving them due credit whenever and wherever it is due. However, clearly, they do not have the same work ethics which is extremely disappointing.
We would request all these portals and websites to either stop copying our content or specify that the content that they are posting is not original, citing the original sort which is Reviewit!
The world of sports looks healthier, fitter and glittery from the outside but keeping up with the competition is not an easy job. We have seen many top athletes in the world talking about their mental health and taking a step back to heal from the pain, pressure and depression they go through. A very big tragedy happened in Pakistan as the country lost a young snooker star Majid Ali to depression.
Majid Ali has committed suicide due to depression and this incident has sent shockwaves through the Pakistani snooker community. He was a silver medalist in the Under 21 category and he was a bright player of the game. His brother revealed his reason for committing suicide.
He said that Majid has been depressed for the last few years. He had no financial difficulties or any such problems but he was suffering from the condition and has taken his own life.
This is a matter of pain, sorrow and reflection for the nation as well when we see such a young, amazing talent committing suicide. This should trigger more conversations on mental health and may Majid rest in peace!

The quarantine time is giving us a chance to do things which we were not able to do due to our busy schedule. Many people are taking this time as an opportunity and doing different stuff.
Some people are spending time with family, while some are mastering their cooking skills.
In this time, Pakistani celebrities are sharing their day-to-day video about their daily routine and keeping their fans updated.
Music stars are live-streaming their mini-performances on their social media accounts. This trend #TogetherAtHomeConcert was started by Chris Martin from Coldplay and then it was followed by other music stars.

Singers including; Shehzad Roy, Sajjad Ali, Ali Sethi, Asim Azhar, Ali Zafar and Hadiqa Kiani are following this trend and connecting with their fans through Instagram.

Saieen Zahoor is one of the legendary talents that came out of Pakistan. His story is both unique and inspiring. Born in a rural household, Saieen Zahoor started singing at the age of seven. The music industry in Pakistan like everything else has gone through many ups and downs. The worst thing however has been the copyright laws or lack thereof and how Pakistani music gets stolen frequently by India and India does not even bother to give any credit to the original artists. From legends as NFAK to the younger lot, all Pakistani singers have faced this time and again and it looks like this time we will see a Sonu Nigam song which is apparently not his own. Sonu Nigam just sang a song for T-Series in collaboration with DJ Sheizwood titled Sun Zara.
Apparently Sun Zara is a copy of Pakistani singer Omer Nadeem’s song Aye Khuda. He released that song 14 years ago and it was available on YouTube to get copied.
Here is the original song:
Omer Nadeem has reacted to plagiarism. The singer said that he does not care too much if something like this happens at this point but they can at least mention him in credits when they are copying his song. Here is what he said:
Pakistani singer and Overload front man Farhad Humayun passed away on Tuesday, the band confirmed in a social media post. The news about the singer and record producer’s death was announced on the official social media page of Overload, as the band requested fans to pray for the departed soul.
“The magnificent Farhad Humayun left us for the stars this morning. Stoic in the face of challenges, uncompromising in his values, generous to a fault, witty as hell! Fadi was far too ahead of his time, both in spirit and art,” the post read. “He would want us to celebrate his life, so we request his family, friends and fans to honour him and say a prayer for him today,” it continued. “We can almost hear him say these words by David Bowie: ‘I don’t know where I’m going from here, but I promise it won’t be boring’. Godspeed our gentle giant and thank you for creating a Riot!”
Humayun’s cause of death was not revealed by the band. However, the singer had revealed in 2018 that he was diagnosed with brain tumor and was getting a surgery done for it. Very few people know that Farhad Humayun was son of veteran Pakistani actress Navid Shahzad.
Fans and celebrities took to their social media after hearing about the singer’s death to pay tribute to him and to pray for his eternal peace.
Brooklyn-based Pakistani singer Arooj Aftab on Sunday, made a history after she bagged the Grammy award for her song “Muhabbat” in the Best Global Performance category. Not only this, Arooj Aftab was also nominated for the Best New Artist category.
Arooj is known for her mesmerizing voice in ancient Sufi traditions with inflections of folk, jazz and minimalism. Other than vocalist, Arooj is a music producer and composer who got her training from the Berklee College of Music. Arooj gained recognition after former US president Barack Obama included the track ‘Mohabbat’ on his 2021 summer favorites list. Arooj while expressing her feelings on the stage at the 64th Grammy awards, mentioned that “I feel like this category in of itself has been insane… it should this be called yacht party category. I made [this record] about everything that broke me and put me back together. Thank you for listening to it and making it yours.”
Many celebrities and famous personalities took to social media to congratulate Arooj Aftab on her big win. Let’s have a look!

Here are the collection of the pictures of all those actors who play cricket as well.
The Pakistani showbiz industry has its fair share of nepotism. The nepotism debate gathered fire after Sushant Singh Rajput died in India. Bollywood movies were a rage in Pakistan till the last decade, and people used to follow their stars and their trajectories. Sushant’s death started a debate against nepotism in India, and like other political philosophies, this debate also skipped borders and penetrated other territories.
Pakistanis also started noticing the pattern of nepotism and started calling out a new crop of actors who have mostly been the products of nepotism. However, there is a whole crop of artists whose parents have been big names in the industry, but people are not familiar with their familial lineage. This helped these artists establish a place for themselves independent of the shadow of their famous family members.
Here is a list of stars who are nepokids, but people always overlook their parents’ influence due to their own talent and impact:
Adeel Hashmi
Adeel Hashmi is a Pakistani star who is mostly known for his brilliant Ufone ads. He is also a versatile actor, and he can successfully navigate both serious and comic characters. His presentation on the live stage and his way of interviewing are also loved and appreciated. Though Adeel Hashmi is a talented and consistent star, he is a nepokid. His mother, Muneeza Hashmi, is a famous media producer, while his father was a well-known educationist. He is also the grandson of legendary poet Faiz Ahmed Faiz and therefore hosts Faiz Mela every year.
Ali Tahir
Ali Tahir is a versatile Pakistani actor. He is known for his ability to perform every character well, be it rural or urban. He has recently impressed everyone with his versatility in shows like Sher and Zard Patton Ka Bann. He has been a part of the industry for two decades now, and people love his strong screen presence. What many people did not know was that he was also a nepokid. His grandfather, Imtiaz Ali Taj, is among the most decorated authors in the history of the country. His father, Naeem Tahir, is a veteran actor and writer, and his mother, Yasmeen Tahir, was a well-known broadcaster in Pakistan.
Momina Duraid
Momina Duraid is one of the biggest producers of Pakistan. She is the name behind some of the classics we have had in the drama world, and she is now directing the country’s first-ever Netflix series, Jo Bachay Hain Sang Samait Lo. Her nepotism connections come from her in-laws, as her mother-in-law, Sultana Siddiqui, is among the biggest media moguls. She polished her talent and provided her with a platform to showcase it. Momina went on to become the backbone of many classic projects, and today she is known as a producer and director whose name is connected to quality scripts.
Hina Rizvi
Hina Rizvi is another famous name in the Pakistani drama industry. She has been appearing in shows for years now. She has played all kinds of characters, from comedy to serious roles. Her role as Daadi in Fairy Tale is iconic. She went viral when she tied the knot with her friend from the theatre, where she has also performed. She has worked hard to establish herself in the drama industry, but many people do not know that she comes from a showbiz family. Her parents were involved in filmmaking, while her sisters, Sangeeta and Kavita, are two of the biggest names in Lollywood.
Sana Shahnawaz
Sana Shahnawaz is another star producer of the Pakistani drama industry. She is the sister of Samina Humayun Saeed, and she has received complete support from her sister and brother-in-law, who are like her parents. Sana Shahnawaz does not expose herself a lot on social media, and she has been able to produce some of the best scripts like Man Mayal, Sinf e Aahan, Alif, and Jaan e Jahan. By keeping herself on the sidelines of fame, she has been able to establish her individuality despite being a part of a big legacy.
Ushna Shah
Ushna Shah is a Pakistani actress. She has chosen some great roles over the years, and the audience finds her to be extremely talented. She became a household name after starring in Bashar Momin. Her character in Alif Allah Aur Insaan put her in the category of versatile and talented starlets. She has been able to establish herself individually, and she never really gets the nepotism tag, but her whole family has been in showbiz. Her mother, Ismat Tahira, was a PTV superstar. Her sister Irsa Ghazal is another big name in the drama industry. At the same time, her brother Shah Sharabeel is the man behind theatre revival in Pakistan as well as the man who brought many stars of today into the industry.
Fahad Mustafa
Fahad Mustafa is hands down one of the biggest stars in the country. An actor, host and producer who has given so many hits to the industry is also technically a nepokid. His father, Salahuddin Tunio, is a big name in the Sindhi industry, but Fahad actually worked hard to establish himself in the mainstream media. Pakistani showbiz, including the television, film, music and now social media industries, has really grown into a big space in the last few years. With new-age celebrities joining in and old stars reinventing themselves, new stories keep coming out every season. But one department which is not growing is communication. The year 2026, with just 3 months in, was filled with controversies and many celebrities were seen attacking each other.
Here is a list of recent controversies in the Pakistani showbiz, and they were huge:
Dr Nabiha Ali Khan & Haris Khokhar
Dr Nabiha Ali Khan has become a relevant name in Pakistani showbiz since she started appearing in several shows, and she largely advocates for men’s rights. She got married to her friend Haris Khokhar last year in a lavish ceremony, and just months later, Nabiha shared on Fiza Ali’s Ramadan transmission that her marriage is in trouble. Dr Nabiha Ali Khan and Fiza Ali turned into a dramatic reveal, and their videos went viral all over social media. Many people were seen mimicking and trolling the overdramatisation.
This is what happened:
Fiza Ali & Mishi Khan
The curious case of Dr Nabiha Ali Khan-Haris Khokhar-Fiza Ali turned uglier when many celebrities started trolling how dramatically this was dealt despite being revealed in a Ramadan transmission. Mishi Khan is also among the artists who thought the whole fiasco was unnecessary and even trolled Fiza Ali’s reactions. Mishi Khan and Fiza Ali have since been calling out each other back and forth, and they are not on talking terms.
Another friendship in Pakistani showbiz came to an end for unknown reasons. The controversy unravelled when Fiza Ali suddenly made a video criticising Nida Yasir after her blunder about food delivery people. Things went out of hand when Nida’s husband, Yasir Nawaz, called out Fiza for targeting his wife. After the Fiza-Nabiha controversy, Nida Yasir also tried to share how she will never do such a thing in Ramadan, and Fiza Ali was again pissed off and criticised Nida Yasir.
Javeria Saud & Yumna Zaidi
Javeria Saud is an actress and host who remained in the news throughout Ramadan this year for her inappropriate transmission techniques. She was seen making fun of people’s medical conditions and taking staged calls for TRPs. Things went out of hand when she ended up making ageist comments against superstar Yumna Zaidi. While showing a baby picture of Yumna, which did not even belong to her, Javeria stated, ” This is someone who has been trying for ages to make a mark, and she has recently become famous.” Other actresses jumped to Yumna’s defence while she herself clarified that the baby girl in that particular picture was not even her.
Another big age war took Pakistani showbiz by storm when Atiqa Odho advised Fahad Mustafa on Hasna Mana Hai to star opposite heroines his age. He felt offended and asked Atiqa to get surgeries if she wanted to work as his heroine. Humayun Saeed was standing beside Fahad when he made this comment. Later, Humayun ended up calling Nadia Khan and Atiqa Odho his “elder sisters”, and Nadia Khan trolled him in return. The internet was divided into camps throughout the whole controversy, and Atiqa and Fahad buried the hatchet by apologising to each other.
Resham & Deedar
Resham and Deedar decided to bring old Pakistani showbiz, aka Lollywood drama, to mainstream media. It all started when Deedar called Resham a negative person who had negatively impacted other people’s lives. She said that Resham has destroyed people, while Resham called Deedar a nobody, famous just because of her sister.
This is where it all started:
Ali Zafar & Meesha Shafi
The biggest controversy in the last decade in Pakistani showbiz is the harassment/defamation case of Ali Zafar and Meesha Shafi. The duo has been fighting this out in court for over 8 years now. Ali’s defamation case finally had a verdict when he won, and Meesha Shafi was directed to pay 5 million PKR to him. Meesha’s harassment case is still pending, and the verdict once again divided people into two camps.
Rajab Butt – Eman Fatima & Zulqarnain Sikandar
Rajab Butt and Eman Fatima have been publicly fighting since he announced his intention to divorce her on a podcast. The couple share a son who has also been dragged multiple times into this. Other creators have also taken sides, and Kanwal Aftab and Zulqarnain Sikandar stood with Eman. This ended up riling Rajab, who called Kanwal names. Zulqarnain Sikandar then took to YouTube and exposed how he helped Rajab’s career and even got his wedding sponsored by several vendors.
Alizeh Shah & Yasir Nawaz
Alizeh Shah and Yasir Nawaz worked together in Mera Dil Mera Dushman. They have not been on great terms. Yasir spoke negatively about Alizeh’s alleged unprofessionalism, but later, Alizeh exposed how she had to suffer on that set. They have since been fighting out. Yasir once again spoke about Alizeh and said that he would like to work with her again while Alizeh threatened legal action if he ever used her name on a show.
Fiza Ali & Ejaz Khan
As things were settling down in Pakistani showbiz industry, Fiza Ali invited her new husband Ejaz Khan to her show. They were having a candid conversation when she laughingly asked him to lift her. He lifted her in his arms on live television. It looked extremely inappropriate and now Fiza is facing criticism and ban calls from the audience.
Pakistani showbiz industry has been marred with too many controversies, call outs and clap backs. Many stars have been asking to practice patience before saying painful things to each other. Others are asking to not convert the industry into a battle ground. Controversies are still not stopping and fans and colleagues are making comments on anything and everything.

Pakistani short film “Bhai” has been directed and written by Hamza Bangash. “Bhai” has been executive produced by Mina Husain of the Pakistan institute of Living and Learning (PILL) and Salman Ahmed. It has been co-produced by Taha Sabri of Taskeen and Westbury Group. Carol Noronha acts as the producer, with Ammar Ul Haque as the DOP.
A short film about two brothers, one who is on the autism spectrum explores the choices we make, shame, trauma and brotherhood has just made it to one of the most prestigious film festivals in the world “The Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF)”. It will be screened at the festival in September. Short film “Bhai” is surely going to make Pakistanis proud internationally.
What’s interesting and great about the film is that the actor playing the brother on the autism spectrum identifies as differently-abled. His name is Ayan Javaid and Bhai marks his film debut. Rarely do we see productions that cast differently-abled people to play differently-abled people in films. More often than not, the only representation we see of differently-abled people is through the lens and acting of people who are non-disabled.
Hamza Bangash, the director and writer of the film hopes that this film encourages Pakistan’s mainstream directors to offer more roles to people who are differently-abled as they are more than capable and can make films/cinema so much better through their nuanced performances and richly textured experiences.

Pakistan is being managed by massive floods right now. Punjab is under water after the heartbreaking devastation in KPK and Gilgit Batistan. The government response to this tragedy has been dismal. There have been no efforts to save the affectees and just photo-ops by high ranking ministers.
Pakistani reporter Mehrunnisa is going viral for her hilarious reporting during these devastating times. She is a young journalist who has been reporting from Shahdara Lahore and she got on a boat to film the situation. She was really terrified of the waters as she started reporting from her job site. Her expressions and accent are also going viral as people found her style hilarious and somewhat unserious.
Here is how Pakistani reporter Mehrunnisa has been reporting flood situation:
The Internet is enjoying the videos. One user said, “Journalism peaked here.” Another added, “Why did she go reporting when she was this scared.” One said, “Lahori bhi hoon aur bahadur bhi hain.” This is what is happening:
Ramp walk is the best way for the designers to showcase what they are capable of. I think it’s the best way to promote the designs & cuts the fashion designers are bringing into fashion each season. I have always enjoyed seeing the traditional outfits being worn & shown on the ramps. The most favorite session of mine is the exhibition of Pakistani bridal dresses because each one of them is a masterpiece & to see all that glamour on screen in one frame is a treat to watch.
Where we do get to see the dresses which are enough of an inspiration – sadly, we do get to come across such ensembles which are beyond our understanding. I really actually do not understand the need of showcasing such apparels which are definitely not fit to be worn by the masses. I know the fashion designers come up with certain themes to actually show what they are good at but isn’t it a waste of resources especially with which people can not relate to?
Here are some pictures which left me feeling I have no eye for the fashion:
I know fashion is all about being trendy & I do accept their need to top their creations off with some interesting headgears & accessories but what I really can not understand is the purpose behind such apparels? Have you felt the same way while watching our fashion shows about the fashion sense of our fashion designers? Pour in your say about them.
Pakistan has a huge problem of road accidents as rules are never followed and the lack of right policing, good roads and traffic plans have become a reason for many Pakistanis losing their lives. There is also a lack of accountability especially with rich people killing the middle and lower middle class during rash driving and they never pay for what they have done. A recent rash accident took place at Karsaz in Karachi when the wife of Chairman of Gul Ahmed Energy Limited Natasha Danish Iqbal killed a father and daughter by the name of Amna Arif and Arif by hitting them with her car. 4 other people were also injured during the accident.
The woman crushed the father and daughter under her car while she was allegedly heavily drunk. People present at the spot stopped the woman and handed her over to the police. The videos of the woman have gone viral after she was not in her senses even after crushing six people:
The father and daughter who became victims were struggling against life. Arif used to sell french fries and he was supporting his daughter’s MBA degree. The girl Aamna also used to work at a firm while she continued her studies.
People are emotional and they are expressing their shock and disbelief at this painful incident:
