Bulbulay is a Pakistani family sitcom about an unconventional Pakistani family. The show is directed by Rana Rizwan, written by Ali Imran and Saba Hassan, and produced by Nabeel, who also played the lead character of the show. Bulbulay was first aired 22 October 2009 on ARY Digital and was later broadcast on ARY Digital in the UK. It is a successful sitcom with a high TRP, and it holds the record for the longest-running television series of Pakistan.

Khawaja Akmal who played the role of Siddiqui Sahab (khubsoorat’s father), was a part of bulbulay. He died of a heart attack on 26 November 2017. No one was replaced for his character till now.

Upcoming drama serial Sinf-e-Aahan is in the news for all the right reasons. A new addition in the cast of the star-studded production is Sri Lankan actress Yehali Tashiya, who will be essaying the role of a Sri Lankan cadet who has come to train in Pakistan alongside other female cadets.

It is not unusual for army officers from other countries to come to Pakistan and train with the Pakistan Army. What’s interesting is that this has been included as a plotline in Sinf-e-Aahan with the spotlight on a female international cadet, no less. Sinf-e-Aahan already boasts a stellar cast which includes Sajal Aly, Yumna Zaidi, Syra Yousaf, Kubra Khan and Ramsha Khan along with male stars Usman Mukhtar, Sheheryar Munawar, Asad Siddiqui and Asim Azhar.

An international artists inclusion has certainly raised expectations from the already highly anticipated project. Producers Sana Shahnawaz and Samina Humayun Saeed have confirmed the news that Yehali Tashiya is a part of the project.

It seems that Yehali has already fallen in love with Pakistan with her first project which seems evident from her pictures on Instagram. Yehali is seen visiting different places of Pakistan. She also shared an adorable picture with Pakistan’s finest actress Yumna Zaidi and Dananeer.

Fans think ramp walks should be left to the professionals. Many of the starlets were running on the ramp while they had picked up the dresses they were supposed to showcase. Netizens had a lot to say and this is what went down:

There is no doubt that Pakistani artists are obsessed with Bollywood which they showcase many times. From actors to makeup artists and writers, all take inspiration from Bollywood and implement their ideas with subtle modifications on our side of the border. So, like Bollywood copies all our songs, we sometimes copy their fashion looks. The recent favourite of the Pakistani industry seems to be Alia Bhatt and with her association to the Kapoor Family which is loved here in Pakistan, many are now following her religiously. After Anmol Baloch donned Alia Bhatt’s wedding look in Aik Sitam Aur;

We have Hira Mani sporting the same look for her upcoming drama:

This is the infamous look that Alia Bhatt carried on her wedding:

Netizens are not impressed with Hira Mani’s Alia Bhatt inspired look and made it clear as soon as pictures from her recent shooting location were out:

Looks like Pakistanis need to start getting inspiration from other sources as well. Even Sarah Khan, our own Pakistani actress had a beautiful bridal look and we can surely get some inspiration from inside the country and to make all on-screen brides similar by copying from the same source.
