Talented actress Kubra Khan and handsome singer turned actor Goher Mumtaz have paired up for the upcoming film ‘Abhee’. It has been directed by Asad Malik and the script has been penned down by Goher Mumtaz.

“When I started out 21 years ago, there was a point when I felt very disheartened,” says Maria. “I felt that fashion critics were constantly overlooking my work and refusing to acknowledge me. It was also a tough time for me personally. I was a young mother and had just gone through a divorce. My mother told me back then that I had to focus just on what I loved to do and ignore everything else. That’s what I have done.”

Maria stepped away from fashion weeks some years ago, doesn’t have much of an interest in getting mileage from critics and you’ll hardly ever see her at a major awards ceremony or a swinging, star-studded after-party. Her focus, instead, has been on building her customer-base and it has worked well for her.

There are some 40 Maria B. stores across Pakistan right now. The label’s repertoire extends from multiple collections of unstitched suits to pret, formal-wear, bridal-wear priced lower than what most designers charge, accessories and a just-launched jewelry line. She’s just returned from a trip to Turkey, latching on to Pakistan’s Ertugrul fever by shooting with some of the stars from the show.

Twenty-one years later, her mother’s sound advice has led Maria into becoming one of Pakistani fashion’s biggest success stories. In fact, for new designers hoping to make it big, there are facets to her career that can serve as a guidance manual on how to work the business of fashion. Many years of hard work have been invested into making the brand so popular. “I still create all the designs of my unstitched suits myself,” Maria added.

She has opted out from the fashion weeks. She feels that she doesn’t need the media mileage of a fashion show now that customers are well-acquainted with her work. “I never enjoyed fashion weeks. I felt drained out by all the fakeness around me”, said Maria.

“I feel no need to tell awards committees about how good my brand is, All I need to do is convince my customers” Maria points out.

Kashif Anwer, the new writer who got a lot of appreciation after writing drama serial Sabaat in his latest interview admitted that he could have written DR. Haris character better than this.

Kashif mentioned that after watching the drama there were some points where I was forced to think that have I written these lines?

Kashif Anwer mentioned that when you are writing a script or drama there are a lot of characters going in your mind.” I accept that there were some flaws and mistakes in Haris’s character” he added.

Furthermore, he said that I was more upset with Dr. Haris’s character than anyone when he realized his mistakes. It was very difficult for him to realize his flaws when on the other hand he has beautifully written the other characters.

“I confess that I made mistakes while writing DR. Haris character but I have learnt a lot from this mistake”, says Kashif Anwer.

Muqaddar is one of the most famous drama serials of 2020. Directed by Shehrazade Sheikh drama serial Muqaddar was aired on Geo Entertainment. Drama Serial Muqaddar was produced by Abdullah Kadwani and Asad Qureshi under the banner of 7th Sky Entertainment. Muqaddar stars Faysal Qureshi and Madiha Imam in lead roles, it was their third project together. Supporting cast of the drama includes Ayesha Gul, Ali Ansari, Haroon Shahid, Sabeena Farooq, Fazila Kaiser and Saif-e-Hassan.

Drama serial Muqaddar revolved around the notion of forced marriage turning into a stereotypical love story. Raima (Madiha Imam) who is a goal oriented girl and deeply in love with her cousin, was abducted by an influential businessman Sardar Saif-ur-Rehman (Faysal Qureshi). Saif-ur-Rehman left no other recourse for Raima else than agreeing to marry him.

As the episodes proceeded further Raima developed feeling for her husband gradually and eventually she fells in love with Saif-ur-Rehman.

Saif-ur-Rehman’s first wife out of jealousy hired a hit man for Raima but Saif-ur-Rehman sacrificed his life while saving Raima.

Finale of Muqaddar was aired today. In final episode Raima forgave everyone who did bad to her and spends her life alone with her son.
