Khuda Mera Bhi Hai Episode 19 Review – Positive Messages

This drama still makes me look forward to more mainly because of my interest in Noor’s journey and it is always refreshing watching people help lift each other up but there is no denying the fact that like every other episode of Khuda Mera Bhi Hai this one too had some glaring flaws. There are times when the editing is so choppy that there is absolutely no continuity in scenes, this has been happening for a few weeks now. In tonight’s episode Bubblu Mian’s scene in the beginning came out of nowhere. The idea behind the scene was easy to understand but the timing was quite odd. This scene should have come after some major confrontation or something which Zain had done specifically before this scene. Zain’s scene in which he meets Mikael by chance was also confusing and Zain’s dialogues seemed out of place. Also, Kashmala and Arshi’s issues with each other are getting more and more monotonous with every passing week. Kashmala’s visit to Mahi’s office too had been there seen that written all over it. All these people have not moved forward an inch in their lives in all these years and I am certain that I am not the only one who wants to see them move in some other direction.

This episode like all the other episodes of Khuda Mera Bhi Hai had highs and lows therefore if I sit down to asses this episode with a critical eye there were many shortcomings which were difficult to overlook but as a viewer I can say safely say that there are also several aspects of this drama which are refreshing. Watching Noor talk to Mikael about his feelings for his mother and indirectly giving them his blessings was one of those scenes in this episode which was extremely positive. Also, watching Mahi and her mother’s efforts paying off in more ways than one is a reason why I like this drama. All these people are heroes but they are not perfect, they are flawed and that is what makes their characters beautiful. They have struggled hard for a long time to get what they wanted. There were times when Noor struggled, he felt something for his friend which he knew he shouldn’t be feeling because he knows he cannot be with a girl and at the same time he could not muster up the courage to tell her the truth. Personally, I love this aspect of Noor’s personality. When he is planning his future vis-à-vis what he wants to do in life, he is very sure and is a go-getter but he is sensitive and vulnerable around people he loves. Mahi is also one such character who has achieved so much in life but it took her a lot of time to finally leave Zain. The imperfections of these characters make it easier for the viewers to relate to their characters.

Khuda Mera Bhi Hai Episode 19 Review - Positive Messages

While watching Kashmala’s scenes I was wondering if she is supposed to be a punishment for Zain and Arshi! If that is the case then I must say that it is not good enough! Even now Zain never sits down and thinks about what he has done. Arshi has never reflected on her actions. When Palwasha and Zain’s track was being shown in this episode, I had to constantly remind myself that many years had passed since they had been married because this track is so stagnant! Right now, Khuda Mera Bhi Hai needs to pick up pace because all the different aspects of the tracks have been covered in detail for now and it is time to move on.

The story has loopholes but overall it is interesting enough but the direction and editing could have been much better if the director and the editors paid more attention to detail. The preview of the next episode showed Noor and Sanam convincing Mahi to get married to Mikael, watching her live a happy life with someone who truly deserves to be with her would be the best and it will also give another positive message.

Khuda Mera Bhi Hai Episode 18 Review – Highs And Lows

Noor’s track moved forward considerably in this episode and the most important aspect of this track was that for the first time Noor openly told someone about his true identity. Noor has accomplished a lot with the help of Mikael and due to the confidence he has in himself. He has a vision and is constantly working to make his goals become a reality. I wasn’t sure how I would feel about Noor and Sania’s track and where it was headed but so far this development has made the story more interesting. I am waiting to find out how it is handled in the future. Noor introduced Sania to his mother, this was like leading her on knowing that she might have feelings for him although that wasn’t Noor’s intention. There are times when Noor is shown as someone who is highly sensitive and receptive and there are other scenes in which he is shown as someone who does things impulsively too. In my opinion these shortcomings in Noor’s character make it more relatable and human. Noor also sensed that perhaps Mikael had feelings for his mother and it looked like he would like to see them both together.

The scene in which Noor shared his feelings with God would have been a lot more impactful if those dialogues were written differently. The way these dialogues were penned down made Noor sound like someone who was complaining more than relying on Allah. While it is okay for someone to complaint to God every now and then but it did seem like the writer wanted to convey a different message. It would have been better if this scene conveyed that Noor saw an ally, a friend in God instead of someone who had been unfair to him.

Khuda Mera Bhi Hai Episode 18 Review - Highs And Lows

Kashmala and Zain’s track has been going around in circles; their scenes never have anything new to offer. There has been absolutely no change in Zain, he never even paused to think about his child and the decisions he took in his life. He keeps on saying that he is still in love with Mahi and has been unable to live a happy life with Kashmala but that somehow isn’t enough. Arshi has also not changed a bit in all these years. She has always seen herself as a victim and has not budged from her initial stance. These tracks are stagnant because there has been absolutely no character development. H on the other hand has finally figured out what he wants to do now therefore it is easier to connect to the changes in him.

Mahi decided to get married to Mikael in the previous episode and it will be good to see them together. Mahi and Mikael have been shown as positive individuals who deserve to be happy. Aly Khan and Aisha Khan look good together and fit perfectly in their respective roles. Although some of the tracks in the story have come to a standstill but Noor’s track has been handled well so far. The preview of the next episode was disappointing because it focused on those tracks which are stagnant at the moment. The viewers are more interested in what happens in Noor’s life next instead of watching Kashmala and Mahi fight over Zain!!

Khuda Mera Bhi Hai Episode 17 Review – Important Developments

The pace of the drama has slowed down but every episode shows how Mahi’s decision to keep her child and to raise him like any other child has enabled Noor to achieve so much. Noor has his complexes, there are times when he finds it impossible to be strong and he is also curious to know more about his father, all these features of his personality make his character more human. The fact that Noor is flawed but has still managed to achieve so much makes me like his character even more. Everything Noor said to his father was something which every individual out there who hates people like Noor needed to hear. Noor’s decision to build a school for children like him was one of the best developments in this episode. This development went to show what a huge difference people like Noor can make if they are given a chance. Noor understands the struggles of children like him better than anyone else and is also in a position to do something to change their lives for the better.

Mahi finally decided to sign the divorce papers. After so many years she is finally willing to make a decision which she thinks is good for her and her son. This particular track of the story is somewhat difficult to relate to. It shouldn’t have taken Mahi this long to accept the fact that Zain wasn’t the ideal partner for her and Zain also made it quite easy for her to fall out of love with him. One of the most gratifying developments in this episode was watching Kashmala realize that some things were beyond her control. Although this did not change her attitude towards Noor or even Sanam but gradually she is beginning to realize that sometimes fate has its own way of teaching some people lessons. Zain is another person who so far has learned very little from his mistakes.

Khuda Mera Bhi Hai Episode 17 Review - Important Developments

Noor’s meeting with his grandfather worked for me because I am so into Noor’s character and feel for him. Also, it was definitely great watching H admitting that sometimes staying silent and not doing whatever you can to help those you love is the biggest mistake. It also explained his stance and why he chose to stay “neutral” all these years. Noor finally has another family member who is willing to accept him whole heartedly. I am still wondering why Noor’s relationship with his cousin has been relegated to the background and why there is more focus on his relationship with his new friend.

Mikael’s relationship with Noor and in fact the relationship of all those people in Noor’s life who have supported and loved him all these years is one of the most endearing aspects of this drama. Like every other episode of Khuda Mera Bhi Hai, this one too wasn’t perfect but even then Noor’s journey and the tracks of the people associated with him keep my interest alive. I am waiting for the day when Zain will apologize to Mahi and Noor. He is already suffering but right now there is no change in his behavior towards Noor.

Khuda Mera Bhi Hai Episode 16 Review – Searching For Answers

All of us figured out instantly that the last scene of the previous episode was a dream sequence but none of us thought it would be Mahi’s dream! The fact that Mahi dreamt about the “confrontation” and Zain trying to strangle Noor made a lot more sense than Zain having this dream. It went to show Mahi’s insecurities and what she thought might happen if Noor and Zain met. The next scene showed Zain crying which once again showed that sometimes weak people suffer more than those individuals who are strong but in a very different manner. Zain never had the courage to accept his child or to share responsibility with Mahi and he also failed to find peace because he has always been confused. Zain’s character is not negative but he has a lot of flaws which he tried to overcome but he couldn’t. He does not have a strong personality like Mahi which is why his mother manages to brain wash him quite often. Also, he tried his best to accept his child but it was beyond him. He did not have the courage to face the world. After these two opening scenes, Noor was seen fighting his demons. The scene in the football field, like many other scenes in this episode showed that Noor was fighting his own battle. All those people who are directly associated with Noor are fighting their own battles in different ways and all of them have friends or family members who have been there by their side. Hassan comforted his son and Mikael comforted Noor, so did Mahi and Zain. I must say that I missed Mahi’s mother in this episode.

The scene covering Noor and Zahir’s meeting after Noor found out that Zahir was his chachu was quite emotional. Although some of the scenes in tonight’s episode lacked continuity but there wasn’t a single scene covering Noor’s track in particular which was not effective. Furqan Qureshi’s performance has made his track even more appealing. He emotes really well and is a confident actor. Imran Ashraf is another actor whose acting has been very natural throughout and the only actor in this drama who looks like he has aged! Rest of the actors have not even changed their hairstyles to give their characters a different look although all of them have performed brilliantly throughout.

Khuda Mera Bhi Hai Episode 16 Review - Searching For Answers

Noor and Mahi’s conversations in this episode were just as emotional and poignant as every other episode. There are times when it is difficult for Mahi to continue to be strong but most of the times she has been a fighter. Noor’s grandfather once again showed the desire to meet him, something that showed that unlike his son he had accepted Noor as his grandson. Right now, I am looking forward to the time when Noor finally meets his father. The preview of the next episode suggested that this meeting will eventually take place next week.

The best part of this drama is the way in which the relationship between all the characters has been established. Also, the positive character in this drama are not flawless, they are human, which makes it easier for the viewers to relate to their characters. Even with all its flaws, the weaknesses in the script and the direction, Khuda Mera Bhi Hai continues to hold my interest and it is one of my favorite plays. All the actors own their roles completely which is also another reason why their characters are easy to relate to. The story isn’t grand but it is poignant.

Khuda Mera Bhi Hai Episode 15 Review – Emotionally Overpowering

Khuda Mera Bhi Hai has been effective right from the beginning but now that Noor is all grown up, the emotional value of all the happenings has doubled. The story no longer focuses on Mahi and Zain’s relationship after Noor’s birth or about how Mahi is fighting with the world to make sure that Noor grows up to be a confident individual. The story now focuses entirely on Noor who has tons of questions in his mind, who feels disillusioned at times but on the whole he is a confident individual who couldn’t care less about what people say. Also, the manner in which he chose to ignore all those people in the office went to show that all the wonderful and positive people around him (not just Mahi but also his grandmother, Sanam, Mikael and even Babban Mian) had managed to give him the kind of love which gave him the courage and wisdom to focus on those things which truly mattered.

There were many scenes in this episode which were highly emotional mainly due to the fact that most of us naturally have been rooting for Noor and it was great watching him grow into a confident individual. Also, the way his relationship with everyone around him was shown was the most poignant part of this episode. The position he gave to Babbun Mian and Babbun Mian’s journey as a whole gives so many positive messages. Babbun is an example of a person who managed to reach this far not only because of his capabilities but also because of all those people who gave back all the love he gave them. Watching Zain disown his child completely once again by saying he had no children when he was talking to his friend went to show that he had not changed at all.

Khuda Mera Bhi Hai Episode 15 Review - Emotionally Overpowering

This episode however was not flawless. There was a big editing blunder in the previous episode due to which Sanam’s mother’s surgery in this episode and later her death seemed completely out of place. In the previous episode Zahir informed Sanam about her mother’s condition when Noor was 10 years old. He said that she needed the operation as soon as possible and she was to be moved to the hospital the next day but her surgery was shown in this episode, some 10 years or so later! I was wondering why Sanam’s mother’s condition was mentioned in the previous episode and in this episode we found out why but the timing was all wrong. This was how Zain saw Mahi and Noor after so many years, which was an interesting turn in the story but I can’t say the same about the timing. Apart from this, Arshi and Kashmala’s mother’s conversation was 10 year late as well! In the previous episode Arshi allowed Sanam to come to her house but that was 10 years earlier and Kashmala’s mother complained about it in this episode! The timeline in this episode was too confusing, there were also some things which happened too quickly, like Noor opening his restaurant. Also, some of Noor’s question weren’t very “mature”, they would have sounded fine coming from a 10 year old but not a grown up like him. I just hope Mahi’s character is not killed in the end because her mother’s concern for her health suggested she might have some chronic disease.

Even with all these flaws, this episode worked for me because I feel connected to the characters completely and also because all the actors in this play have been giving top-notch performances. The last scene of this episode seemed like a dream sequence which went to show that for a change Zain was holding himself accountable for not being able to fulfill his duties as a husband and a father. I can’t praise Furqan Qureshi enough for modifying his voice and gait to look more like someone who isn’t gender specific. Noor’s character is a very difficult one to translate on screen but he owns it completely.

Khuda Mera Bhi Hai Episode 14 Review – Beautiful Messages

Loved the beautiful and positive dialogues in tonight’s episode, those poignant conversations and all those amazing messages which put things in perspective were a treat to watch. Mahi’s conversation with Noor in particular was right on point. The writer did a splendid job of penning down those dialogues which covered all aspects which were necessary to calm Noor down and give him the strength to go on. Mahi assured Noor of her support, gave him the freedom to choose whether he wanted to live his life as a girl or a boy and also explained to him that there was nothing wrong with him but those people who made him feel like he wasn’t good enough were at fault. This was not just something which a mother said to her child but also an extremely positive and poignant message which is the need of the hour. There are so many people in our society who judge these people, fear them and even hate them. Noor’s reaction to all the positive energy he got from his mother was reflected through everything he said not to his mother in private but confidently in front of every one. This was a truly emotional scene which showed how love and acceptance can change things around. The viewers needed to see more such scenes between Noor and Mahi in the previous episodes as well. The fact that Mikael did not get a lot of screen time in this episode also helped. Noor and Mahi were the centre of attention in tonight’s episode which showed Mahi’s efforts had paid off.

Mahi’s conversation with her mother at the beginning of the episode made the entire situation easier to connect to. This wasn’t an easy situation for Mahi to handle but just like always she managed to muster up the courage to deal with it with the help of her mother. Mahi’s mother is another positive character in this drama, one which we do not see in our dramas very often. She is a role model, she has always supported her daughter and at the same time she is sensitive and accepts her vulnerabilities. Saba Hameed once again has given a phenomenal performance which convinces the viewers that no one could have played this role better than her.

After so many years Arshi decided to let Sanam visit her house but did not accept her whole heartedly. After a long time Arshi’s character was bearable because she did not get a lot of screen time and there was enough positivity in this episode to ignore Arshi’s negative attitude. Arshi has always been controlling and now Kashmala is another controlling person in the house who treats her husband exactly the way Arshi treats her husband. I have to say however that H’s attitude towards his wife is another positive aspect of this drama. He points out whenever he feels that she is not being fair but at the same time he accepts and loves her with all her flaws. It is definitely extremely refreshing watching a man like him accept someone like Arshi without making it look like she does not deserve his love. He has also been there for him when she needed him to support her even when he did not agree with her.

Khuda Mera Bhi Hai Episode 14 Review - Beautiful Messages

While his father handled and accepted a woman like Arshi quite well because he loved her, Zain is unable to do the same with Kashmala because he never loved her like that. The only scene in tonight’s episode which seemed somewhat out of place was the one in which Zahir calls Sanam to tell her that her mother needed a surgery. It appeared to be an important scene but apparently it was just another conversation. Also, although I liked the fact that this episode focused on Mahi and Noor but Mikael should have been shown interacting with Noor at least once since he was around all the time in the previous few episodes. Also, while Noor was all grown up, Zain and Kashmala did not age at all.

This episode also had some impressive and mature performances to its credit which made all these emotional scenes a treat to watch. It is great watching Aisha Khan outshine in this role. Adnan Shah Tipu is another actor who never ceases to impress and Mariam Saleem is one of those newcomers who is bound to go places.

I loved watching this episode of Khuda Mera Bhi Hai and am anxiously waiting for the next episode. The preview of the next episode showed that Zain still hadn’t accepted his child and Noor questioned his grandmother about his father. I would love to see him meeting his father so that Zain knows how well Mahi did and what he missed out on!

Khuda Mera Bhi Hai Episode 13 Review – Time To Move On?

Zain and Mahgul’s track was covered flawlessly in this episode but I can’t say the same about the way Mahgul/Noor and Mikael’s track was handled. I still have a tough time relating to Mahgul and Zain’s undying love for each other and their marital status but all the conversations today which covered their feelings were well-executed; the dialogues were not clichéd or over the top. This episode opened with Mahgul sharing how she felt about Zain and it was actually quite refreshing watching a strong woman who can look out for herself accepting that she loves a man like that. It goes to show that she does not feel that loving Zain makes her weak in any way. Mahgul and Zain’s relationship might not be relatable but it is definitely positive.

The timeline in tonight’s episode was slightly confusing because of some of the dialogues. When Kashmala’s mother invited Zain to talk to him she made it sound like Kashmala and Zain had been “friends” for years even though it seemed like they had known each other only for a few weeks. Arshi once again tried to brain wash Zain and after 7 years we were not shown what Zain’s relationship status was. What I truly missed in tonight’s episode was Mahgul’s presence in Noor’s life. Mahgul was shown busy in her office most of the times in this episode and the previous one too and ever since Mikael entered Noor’s life Mahgul has taken a backseat in his life. This drama should have been about Noor and Mahgul’s struggle together. While it is good to see so many people who have supported Mahgul through all these years, it was somehow strange watching Mikael tell Mahi that it was time to have that conversation with Noor. Noor and Mahi’s over dependence on Mikael isn’t the best part of this drama. Also, I felt like I did not know Noor well enough. It would have been so much better if the viewers saw how difficult it was for Noor to adjust in the society and what issues he faced. That one scene summed up why he was a misfit but it just wasn’t enough.

Khuda Mera Bhi Hai Episode 13 Review - Time To Move On?

All these years Noor has been going to the same “classroom” and even now Mikael is his only teacher. Mahi was going to make him fit into the society but on the contrary his world is limited to that house, the class room and a few people so basically he is over-protected. The writer definitely did not delve into the details of this particular track and at this point I feel like Mahi and Zain’s relationship is the focus of attention and Noor is merely an irritant. There was a definite focus on Noor and on Mahi’s life vis-à-vis Noor but after Mikael’s entry into their lives things have changed completely.

The most refreshing aspect of this episode was Mahi’s reaction to Arshi’s visit to her house. She did not try to distance herself further from Mikael or rethink the choices she had made so far as a reaction but did something which a practical and sensible woman like her should have done. The meeting between Zain and Mikael was also very well written and directed. Everything that Mikael said to Zain was right on point.

Although this episode wasn’t flawless and few of the things did not work for me but it was very well directed and all the actors did complete justice to the roles assigned to them. The story however has lost its charm because of Mahi’s over-dependence on Mikael, this was Mahi’s war and it would have been good to see her fighting it on her own with some support from other people. Also, Noor’s character and his struggles for now have been relegated to the background or are not getting as much attention as they should have.

The preview of the next episode suggested that perhaps Mahi has “moved on”. Also we will see another leap of many years in the upcoming episode, hopefully then Noor will be the centre of attention.

Khuda Mera Bhi Hai Episode 12 Review – New Challenges

One thing that stood out more than any other in this episode were all those positive characters who are fighting their own battles and are not trying to bring anyone down. Also, Mikael and Noor’s relationship was the highlight of this episode. The way Mikael went out of his way to make this kid feel special and the manner in which Noor reciprocated his feelings was truly touching. It is definitely great to see women like Mahi and Sanam who are secure enough to focus on building their own lives instead of blaming other people like Arshi and Zain for not supporting them. Also, Mahi’s reaction after she found out how Mikael felt about her was shown in an apt manner. She decided to distance herself from this man and was honest about the way she felt about this entire situation. There was no awkwardness about the whole situation, in fact both of them dealt with it like two educated and open-minded people would. Mahi is facing new challenges as Noor gets older because he is now in a position to assert himself and is a sensitive child who notices everything around him.

Khuda Mera Bhi Hai Episode 12 Review - New Challenges

The scene in which Mahi remembered how Zain told her that his mother had given them her “blessings” was however blown out of proportion. The way everyone’s reactions were covered was somewhat strange. Also, I am having a very difficult time relating to Mahi and Zain’s situation. While I can understand that two people can go on loving each other for years but I find it hard to relate to the circumstances they are in. They see each other every day yet there has not been a single emotional moment in which both of them or at least one of them revealed their true feelings. Can anyone really be this patient?

My favorite scene of this episode was the one in which Mahi took her anger out on Noor after finding out that there might be “another woman” in Zain’s life. Mahgul sacrificed a great deal for her kid and she never regretted it for a second but this scene showed how difficult it was for her to even think that Zain might be moving on. Noor’s closeness to Mikael was reinforced through different scenes in this episode. Noor feels more secure with Mikael right now than he does with anyone else. I was hoping that the viewers will get to see Mikael’s back story in this episode but right now it seems like he does not have a story to tell although it does feel like there is more to his character than meets the eye.

Khuda Mera Bhi Hai Episode 12 Review - New Challenges

Kashmala’s character and the make-up of all the ladies (with the exception of Aisha Khan) in this episode stood out like a sore thumb. Zain’s ujri hui halat hasn’t changed in all these years yet Kashmala somehow finds him attractive, maybe because he is a challenge for her! Although I am a huge fan of Irsa Ghazal but in some of the scenes she was too stiff. Her body language never changes no matter who she is talking to.

Am I the only one who found it somewhat odd that Zahir never took the food out of the bag? I think it would have been better if he took some empty boxes out if nothing else or if there was no food involved in that scene! Overall, although tonight’s episode wasn’t exceptional but it was interesting enough except for Kashmala’s track which is clichéd to the core. I am looking forward to Mikael and Zain’s confrontation in the upcoming episode. Does Mikael have ulterior motives? Is he really as nice as he appears to be? Watching Arshi spit venom yet again in the preview of the next episode made me wonder why she is getting so much screen time when she does not have anything new to add to the story at least for now.

Khuda Mera Bhi Hai Episode 11 Review – Well-Executed

This episode focused mainly on Noor’s state of mind and his struggles. Also, with this episode two new characters entered the lives of Zain and Mahi who feel attracted towards them and will be a regular part of their lives and the drama now. Mikael’s attraction towards Mahi was quite obvious from at least two scenes in tonight’s episode and the preview of the next episode showed that Mikael isn’t doing all this only for Noor. Kashmala’s track has done-to-death written all over it and it is surely disappointing watching someone attractive and talented like Hira Tareen playing another such character. It would however seem more “normal” watching Mahi and Zain both falling for someone at this point.

In this episode Noor questioned a lot of things which any child his age would wonder about. He wanted to know who his father was and wondered why he did not have a sir name just like all the other kids. Noor’s attempt to give himself a surname was absolutely heart-wrenching. Although his mother and many other people around him gave him so much love but like any other kid his age he is still looking for a father figure. Since Mikael is the only man who is so close to him therefore he looks up to him. Noor’s personality was translated well on screen today, I had no trouble connecting to the issues and questions he had. So far, Mikael comes across as a kind and intelligent person, I am definitely waiting to find out more about him. Aly Khan was the perfect choice for playing this role. Ayesha Khan’s effortless portrayal has also added more life to Mahi’s character.

Khuda Mera Bhi Hai Episode 11 Review - Well-Executed

Hassan sahib’s conversation with Mahi was one which we had all been waiting for since most of the viewers were wondering what his “stance” was regarding Noor. Apparently, he feels guilty because he cannot do much for Noor or Mahi because of Arshi but even then Mahi appreciates his “silent” support for her. It would have been nice to see Hassan sahib visiting Noor and trying to stay in touch with him so that he wasn’t completely alienated from that side of his family. Mahi’s support system is one of the best parts of this drama. Sanam, Bubban mian and all the other people who make Mahi feel less burdened and make Noor feel like he is part of a family add something special to this track.

Zain’s state of mind was shown through the flashback scene, his get-up and the dialogues afterwards. Aisha Khan wore the same outfit in the flashback scene as she did on that day, that was a little odd! Zain has not moved on at all but at the same time he finds it impossible to accept Noor. The preview of the next episode suggested that Kashmala will take Zain up as a “challenge” and Mikael will reveal how he feels about Mahi.

This was another interesting episode of Khuda Mera Bhi Hai which covered all the aspects of Mahi, Zain and Noor’s life in an apt manner. After watching this episode I am quite certain that the viewers will get to see Noor’s struggles with even more clarity in the upcoming episodes. So far, this drama has a solid screenplay and all the actors are doing complete justice to their characters. It is good to see Imran Ashraf being versatile; his expressions and dialogue delivery fit the role he has been assigned.

Khuda Mera Bhi Hai Episode 10 Review – Breaking Stereotypes

I don’t want to feel like a broken record but I have to say that I absolutely love the way this drama is breaking some major stereotypes. Watching a divorced woman who was once stuck in an abusive relationship living a normal married life with a man who values her is absolutely refreshing. This marriage was also not an outcome of societal pressure or because Sanam couldn’t look out for herself. Sanam and Zahir’s marriage was a product of love which is another part of this track which is truly wonderful. Pakistani viewers need to see positive role-models in dramas which break stereotypes and this drama definitely has many such characters. While we are getting to see the extreme biased against children who are not gender-specific, we are also watching someone like Bubble Mian helping out, making himself useful and being accepted. Nowadays we read news every other day in which people like Bubble Mian are put through the worst of ordeals only because they are considered lesser humans therefore this topic is also quite relevant. Mahi’s dialogues are always on point because they show her way of thinking and the bigger goal she is trying to achieve quite clearly.

Arshi’s character is negative but even then she has not been shown as someone who has ever lied or manipulated a situation in her favor by “staging” an event or situation. Her dialogues and actions tonight once again proved that she is so ignorant that she thinks that there is nothing wrong with the way she views relationships. By the end of this episode however it seemed like she might go along with her friend’s plan. It has been six years since Zain and Mahi were separated and I must say that it is difficult to relate to this particular situation since they meet in the office on daily basis yet there has been absolutely no development in their relationship nor have they decided to leave each other.

Khuda Mera Bhi Hai Episode 10 Review - Breaking Stereotypes

Aly Khan’s character is another positive addition to this drama. This character is not like any other role Aly Khan has played till date but he fits perfectly in it. Mikael’s initial reaction, his thoughts about what Mahi told him and later on his final decision was covered well in this episode. I am looking forward to how he influences Noor’s personality and what role does his character play in the future since it would be natural for Mahi to get close to someone who is so accepting of her child and goes out of his way to help her out. Both the meetings between Mikael and Mahi were very emotional. The only aspect which I didn’t quite understand was that why was Mahi looking for Mikael’s address so desperately because in the end she found him in the same place where she had met him before.

It is absolutely refreshing watching an independent woman like Mahi in this drama and it is equally nice watching men like Zahir, his father and Mikael who break stereotypes in more ways than one. The marriages in this drama are also quite different from the typical marriages with all the clichés attached to them which we see in our dramas all the time. This drama also has some solid performances to its credit. Watching Aisha Khan play a role which has tons of potential is definitely a treat. Mariam Saleem is also a good addition to this play and the drama industry.

Watching Hira Tareen playing the role of Kashmala felt like Deja Vu! When Arshi was talking about Kashmala, it reminded me of Sunbal’s character in Tum Kon Piya because in TKP too I kept on wondering why a beautiful, intelligent, modern girl from an affluent family had to be so desperate! Hira Tareen will be playing a similar role yet again and I am already thinking why someone like her would be so interested in a married man with a kid who loves his wife! So far all the tracks in KMBH have been handled well therefore I hope that this one too will be free of clichés.

Khuda Dekh Raha Hai – The End!

Ohkay so, this episode marked the ending of Khuda Dekh Raha Hai. All of a sudden I feel that the last couple of episodes took us back to the note at which the drama began because they were well directed, well executed & well-written. All the things the characters said in these last two episodes were realistic & made a lot more sense & again, it made me feel that they all went back to what they used to be.

Finally, Khalida realized her mistakes & asked for forgiveness. As much as I was happy to see her being apologetic, what made me feel a lot better was that even though Akhtar might’ve forgiven her for her disloyalty towards him, he chose not to forgive her for what she did to Zoya & I feel this is exactly what she deserved. At least, she tried to compensate & cut down the burden she had by giving Zoya a free hand at shaping up her life whichever way she wanted & that was something good to see.

I found it appeasing that each & every member of Zoya’s family treated her with love, care, attention & most importantly restored their faith in her because this is exactly what she wanted after going through such a rough phase in her life. I have always liked Zoya’s character because, like I used to say, I found her logical & this trait of hers was absolutely admirable, so for that, I was glad to see her moving on pretty quickly because even though she tried really hard, she couldn’t bring herself to form a connection with Adnan, so it was imperative that it didn’t take her very long to rekindle the feelings for Junaid that she had been trying to prevent from surfacing.

Even though we didn’t get to see Sana a lot in this drama, I found her character good too. She was dignified enough to walk away from something that she knew wasn’t meant to be for her, but just as much as a high opinion I have of her, I wish I could say that about Junaid too because what he did was very disappointing. I really didn’t like Junaid’s approach in this whole scenario because even if I forgive him for using Sana as a stepping stone, what I won’t forgive him for, is the inconsideration he showed by asking Sana to back out from this wedding all by herself? If he would’ve been a gentleman, instead of asking Sana to do the honors, he would’ve taken the responsibility & should have apologized for being unfaithful to her because he couldn’t bring himself to love her. Sana not only helped him in getting back on track with his career, she actually invested a lot of money in him, but Junaid didn’t have the decency to at least be courteous towards her & just because he was so immune of being at the receiving end, he once again expected her to take the bullet & let the whole world know that she was the one who didn’t want to get married to Junaid.

The ending scenes were done nicely for sure, but as much as my eyesight helped me, I could clearly see the difference between the personalities of Zoya & Sana, so how was it possible that being just a couple of meters away, Junaid couldn’t reckon that it wasn’t Sana who was sitting on the bed? Anyways, Zoya & Junaid got back together & happy times are rolling in, finally!

I really feel that the team of Khuda Dekh Raha Hai partially redeemed itself by giving us a better ending, but I still wouldn’t forget mentioning that if they had cut down on the negativity by say at least 50%, this would’ve been a much better drama & I would’ve recommended it to a lot of people. I feel Khuda Dekh Raha Hai had a great & rocking start, but the whole divorce drama really sucked the positivity out of it that even if I try to remember it in good words, it won’t be possible. I really believe when the writers know that they would literally have to destroy the story & also the characters to reach to the 20 episode mark, I think they should back out & shouldn’t follow the demand of the channel to drag a drama. I can’t begin to imagine how good this drama would’ve been if it had 16 episodes because then they wouldn’t have only achieved their purpose, they would’ve made the viewers happy too.

All the actors enacted their characters aptly. It was good to see Agha Ali playing a decent role after a long, long time & he seemed pretty comfortable in Junaid’s role, so he should pay heed to it & opt for more such easy going characters in the future too. It’s a no secret that Sajjal Ali can convey the emotions very strongly, but I feel she should stop opting such heavy roles & should try out something different, something lively, where she is not someone’s wife & she doesn’t end up being a divorcee. As much as I liked Zoya’s character & as much as I would give Sajjal Ali the credit for acting it properly, I still would say that I do not condone the chumminess & the unreasonable contact with her co-stars that she tends to agree to in every other drama just because it happens to be the demand of the script. I really feel, she has lost a way & she needs guidance. My sincere advice to Sajjal Ali is that she should definitely do some self-policing before accepting such bold scripts left, right & center because she has proved herself as an actor, it’s a high time she gives us something good & decent to remember her by.

Please share your thoughts about the whole journey of Khuda Dekh Raha Hai.

Khuda Dekh Raha Hai – Episode 18 & 19!

Ohkay, so, it looks like they are now wrapping up the drama. As much as I found the latest episode normal, I really found the characters & their reactions abnormal. One of the strengths of Khuda Dekh Raha Hai was that all the characters used to look genuine & realistic, but since the day Zoya’s predicament began, they all lost the plot & it looked like all the characters were flawed by the writer purposely.

So, it was Junaid, who took the initiative & tried to knock some sense into Zoya’s family, but they chose to ignore & Akhtar not only overlooked whatever Junaid was trying to say, he also started doubting Zoya too. Akhtar actually thought that Zoya along with Junaid planned everything so that she could get a divorce from Adnan. Of all the people in that family, I really thought Akhtar was the sane one, but sadly he proved me wrong too. Akhtar sent Zoya back thinking he was doing the right thing, but later when he showed the signs of distress, I felt nothing for him because he was just as much of a culprit as Khalida was.

The whole party scene was ill-directed because nothing made sense & the scene lacked the flow. I think they should have paid a lot of attention to that particular scene because it was a game changer & that is when Zoya took a stand for herself so they should have worked hard to make it impactful. Anyways, it was good to see her speaking up for herself & luckily her MIL also ended up supporting her words. The funniest bit was how Sanam was trying to keep Moeez locked in the room just because without even attending the party, she knew what was happening to Zoya afterwards? Both Sanam & Moeez went there to attend the gathering too, so why was it that Moeez never heard what Zoya said & instead chose to stay in the room till all the guests left & Adnan started hitting Zoya? Anyways, the way they got to that point doesn’t really matter, what matters is that they finally made Moeez hear those words so that he could come to Zoya’s rescue.

Moeez actually understood that he was the reason why Khalida lied to everyone & he was the reason why Zoya was facing all this & it was good to see him taking the responsibility too. Even after Moeez decided to come clean about that matter, Khalida chose to remain aloof & in denial, which actually made my urge to smack her even stronger. Khalida chose not to believe the words of her beloved son Moeez as well & that made me think why wasn’t she ready to accept that her daughter has been divorced? What was so unusual about it? Didn’t she see it coming given the sort of a person Adnan was?

I don’t know why, but it looks like Sajjal Ali always chooses such roles where she gets to act all normal & relaxed no matter what she has been through? Even this time around after a long period of hardships, Zoya looked so unaffected as if nothing really happened to her & that made me remind of Rameen as well. Zoya recovered pretty well & looks like she will be ready to move onto the new chapter of her life too.

With Moeez divorcing Sanam & Khalida shutting down her Istikhara center & Zoya finally getting a divorce from Adnan too, I really thought this was the perfect time to end the series, but it may take an episode or two before Zoya & Junaid get back together because Junaid’s fiancée Sana is not going to let go of him so easily & I am in no mood for more such further draggjng of this drama. Even though she knows that Junaid still loves Zoya, she is trying hard to keep her relation intact. I really hope that the 20th episode happens to be the last one & they don’t drag it any further because all, there’s left in this drama is to get Zoya & Junaid married to each other. So, this is it from my side, I am so glad that the torture is about to end, how about you guys? Please share your thoughts about these episodes & let me know how hard are you all waiting for it to end?

Khuda Dekh Raha Hai – Episode 16 & 17!

OMG! I really thought they will take the story forward by giving out a solution but looks like the writer here is on the loop because the story is going to go back to where it all started & they are in no mood to wrap this cheapness up.

I don’t understand one thing, when a girl gets divorced; she is already in enough pressure & depression, so how can they show that she has to fetch a witness with her for every divorce she gets? Like it is so insane that it’s a girl who is getting divorced & then amidst the havoc, it is she who has to arrange a witness so as to announce it to everyone that yes she has been divorced otherwise no one in her so-called ‘family’ will believe her? What sort of a twisted logic is that?

The way Akhtar jumped into the situation for Zoya made me believe that he was ready to stand by his daughter till the end but it was absolutely ridiculous seeing him having second thoughts about his daughter too? I have never seen anyone like that who instead of believing on their daughter would choose to believe on the strangers or outsiders? Akhtar himself saw on the TV that Adnan was hitting Zoya & then he witnessed the same thing at Adnan’s home too but still it took only one session with that mindless Moeez for Akhtar to change his mind? I expected better from a rational person like him & this makes me dislike Akhtar even more than Khalida because he was the voice of reason all this while but now when he couldn’t find enough ‘evidence’ he chose to ignore what Zoya was saying as well.

I hate the way Sanam is made a star of every situation where everything goes to her favour & she gets to reap the most benefit out of it? I really want to ask the so-called ‘writer’ here about the MOTIVE behind this script? Like what was he ‘trying’ to portray? If he’s ready to accept that he wanted to show a lot of cheapness just for the sake of ratings, then it’s ohkay, we can forgive him for this but if he was trying to give out a ‘message’ of some sort, then I think we have a right to know that too because we can teach him a thing or two about morality.

It is absolutely disgusting to see how instead of siding with the victim, everyone is siding with the culprit just because they happen to have a little bit of bigger brains than the mindless & unintelligent family of Khalida? I just wanted to whack Khalida when she said she doesn’t believe a word Zoya has been saying? Like isn’t she proud of the way she has brought her daughter up? If no, then she should blame herself & even her husband for not doing their jobs as parents properly as they now believe that Zoya can lie about such a big thing so easily. They keep on saying how they know their daughter in & out but just when Zoya needs their support, they end up blaming her for being wrong & for fabricating such a serious lie?

Ohkay, Junaid was one of the people from that day that saw what happened, so if they choose not to believe him, why don’t they contact others to find out the truth? Very easily, they dissed the testimony of Junaid just because they doubted him for having ulterior motives but he wasn’t the only person in that gathering who witnessed all of that so why did their brains stop working? It was absolutely abhorrent to hear Akhtar blame Junaid for the pain he has caused to Zoya & how he wanted to defame her whereas completely forgetting about the way Adnan abused & physically harmed her in front of the whole crowd & even in front of Akhtar himself? How stupid can a father be?

The preview of the next episode was just as disgusting because seems like now Akhtar has fallen in the category of brainless zombies like Khalida too where he thinks Zoya is just making an issue & she never got divorced in the first place. It was just plain annoying to hear Khalida praying for her daughter’s protection whereas on the other hand she chooses to show Zoya her back when she needs her mother’s support the most. Why are they making it so hard for Khalida’s family to accept that Zoya has gotten divorced & by doing that what are they trying to show? It is absolutely disgusting to see the similar pattern in this drama from last so many episodes where Adnan hits Zoya & divorces her, she cries & comes to her mother’s place, Sanam’s mother calls her to handle the situation & she swoops in with her negativity filled mind & changes everyone’s perspective & then Zoya is once again sent back to Adnan’s place to get further abused. I am so so so disappointed to see how the channel & the drama makers have literally extracted such cheapness from such a sensitive topic to attain ratings & profits. Please share your thoughts & voice out your frustration against this idiocy.

ps: Does anyone know when does this drama end as I can’t deal with this negativity anymore.

Khuda Dekh Raha Hai – Episode 14 & 15!

Well, when the writer of this drama himself commented on this thread, he spoke about how he was showcasing some reality using Khalida’s character & there was some message he was trying to convey too but I am sure he must’ve forgotten to mention how he was going to change the course of the drama to make it so appalling & disgusting using Zoya’s character.

Zoya has clearly gotten a divorce but even her mother chooses to ignore it as if she was talking about something nominal. Of all the people, Khalida should be the one to know her daughter in & out, so how can she take it all so lightly when Zoya uses such a heavy word in her conversation? Zoya has also told her repeatedly how Adnan drinks but Khalida chooses to let that all slide through her mind as only she knows what’s running through her empty head. Khalida knows what Zoya is like & who she is, so when she uses a word like divorce, it obviously wouldn’t mean that she is using it out of the blue? There would be some reasons behind it so why it is that Khalida didn’t pay heed to it at all & got back to her routine life without even thinking about it for a second?

I don’t know why but I feel the writer was heavily impressed & inspired by Samira Fazal’s Chup Raho because to see Zoya becoming Rameen again is absolutely sickening & oh the similar soundtrack was a seal on the reminiscence. I really want to question Sajjal Ali myself about how does she allow all this to happen to her? Isn’t she tired of playing such characters or doesn’t she have a sense of some self-policing? To see her being abused, ill-treated, manhandled & literally exploited in every other drama is getting beyond control & looking at this petite girl, I actually want to know how does she get this level of confidence? Isn’t she tired of becoming Rameen over & over again? When I talk about the drama, I usually stick to the characters & only speak about the actors when I want to talk about their acting, but for the first time I am actually questioning the actress; Sajjal Ali loud & clear about her choices because I really think she is making one bad choice after the other & this has to stop because it is so obvious that she has lost the plot completely & I don’t think she can get a leeway by just saying that she only played a ‘character’ & all this was a demand of the script.

I know the writer often reads the reviews of this drama so I want to know what was he trying to portray by mocking the concept of divorce & by treating it so casually? Do these writers get briefings to write a story like this or this is something that they themselves conceive through their imagination because to see dramas like these is nothing short of a punishment & makes me question the mentality of the people behind such projects; be it the producers, or directors or even the writers?

When Khuda Dekh Raha Hai started, I really thought this drama would break the norms & give out a very nice message because the initial episodes were tackled intelligently but to see it come to this point, I see my expectations going down the drain & turning into fury because I am absolutely disgusted to see whatever they have tried to show here. What about Iddat? What about protection of a female? Anyone can divorce his wife & claim that he didn’t do it & people will side with the guy? A woman will see her daughter in law being literally molested right under her nose & she would choose to close her eyes? How stupid & horrific is that & to be honest, the team of this drama had the audacity to shoot & run it on the TV? I really want to ask the channel & the producers & the writers & the directors about how far are they going to go to earn some petty ratings? All this cheapness is actually for the sake of ratings so like seriously, is the TRP so important? Isn’t there any sense of morality left in these people? They claim that they want to show the reality but they should be ashamed to dramatize it & exaggerate it for commercial purposes.

I am absolutely disgusted to see what they have shown in Khuda Dekh Raha Hai which somewhat started as a family drama. I really hope the writer comments & answers all these questions or if not, then refrains from writing more such scripts because these disgusting dramas have to & must stop. Please share your thoughts about this!!!

Khuda Dekh Raha Hai – Episode 12 & 13!

Well well well, the story of this drama is getting so depressing that it’s hard to watch it. Yes, what they are showing is reality but their approach is very unrealistic & then comes Sajjal Ali in the picture, I really want to know how come she never gets tired of getting manhandled so brutally in every other drama? I must commend her confidence & lack of sensitivity with which she allows all that to happen to herself. I know it’s only for the sake of a drama that she’s doing & also because it is a demand of most of the characters she plays but then, like really, isn’t she tired? As much as I feel for the character she is playing; Zoya, when it comes to Sajjal Ali, she is so off-putting & that’s a shame because she is such a good actor, but sadly, she is wasting her talent in such roles.

I must commend Khalida for being so inconsiderate. Even after Zoya told her clearly that Adnan drinks & mistreats her, it only took a single class from Sanam for Khalida to come back to her senses & later when Akhtar questioned about Zoya, Khalida straight away said Zoya should be left alone to deal with whatever she is facing because apparently, that’s how she will gel in her new home. Yes, Khalida is having depression pangs & she is feeling guilty but the way she has blinded herself from Zoya & her problems makes her the ultimate villain & in fact a bigger villain than Sanam.

Sanam is quite clever & so is her mother but I really don’t understand why do Khalida & Zoya both, fall prey to their trap? As far as I remember, Zoya was the logical one in that family, she would always reason with her mother & that being said, it was quite clear that when it comes to voicing out her thoughts & opinions, Zoya never held back, so what is stopping her now? Yes, she knows that her family wouldn’t jump to her rescue straight away but why can’t she be more precise in what she is going through? Khalida is definitely not on good terms with Sanam but why does she always run out of words in front of her? Zoya comes to meet her family but Sanam doesn’t let her stay there & Khalida doesn’t feel the need to jump in to stop Sanam from running things? It’s actually quite odd.

I liked the aspect of Zoya’s faith getting shattered. It made her look like any other human being who feels & goes through the same phase when they hit a rock bottom. Zoya has lost her faith & for that, Khalida should blame herself, as she is the one who has ruined Zoya’s life & if Zoya feels that way, no one can undo that because only she knows what she is going through.

I found the whole Talaaq & the cover up scenario completely baseless & unrealistic. Even though Zoya tells Khalida clearly that Adnan has divorced her, Khalida easily forgets it & tells Zoya that she has to live in this house till she dies? The way Adnan’s mother convinces Zoya that she didn’t get divorced was also unrealistic? Where does it happen these days? Zoya is well aware of her rights & like I said, she has always been the one who used to be logical, so why can’t she put two & two together? Someone divorces her, someone tells her the otherwise & she chooses to believe everything? Yes, she is mazloom & what not but now I feel the writer has flawed Zoya’s character & seeing Sajjal Ali play this role reminds me so much of Rameen of Chup Raho as well. I think playing a strong headed girl in the initial stages of the drama to later become a clueless miserable soul is Sajjal Ali’s forte & comfort zone & I hope to see her snapping out of it ASAP.

I am glad that Adnan finally divorced her clearly in front of everyone where Zoya wasn’t in such a state that someone would be able to delude her again. I am glad she got divorced when her mind was awake & she could register what was happening because now we’ll see an end to some sort of misery that has been inflicted on Zoya & oh, the whole scene of Zoya (read Sajjal Ali) lying on a bed after getting beaten up was so indecent, especially to see two uncles in the frame made it a lot more uncomfortable. I really hope Sajjal Ali does some self-policing when it comes to these sorts of scenes as they don’t really suit her at all. Share your thoughts please.

Khuda Dekh Raha Hai – Episode 11!

Once again, it was a simple but an interesting episode. I like how things are unfolding in this drama where everyone is realizing one thing or the other & deep down their guilt & regret is multiplying. The story is pretty decent & simple but the way things are being told makes it an interesting drama to tune to.

Sadly, Zoya is finding it hard to deal with an entirely different family set up she has stepped into. Every single day, every single time she is reminded of the fact about how different her husband & his family’s values are. Zoya comes from a very simple background in which no matter what Khalida does on her own, she at least instilled some morals & ethics in her offspring & now when Zoya is asked to compromise on the same morals & ethics, she feels suffocated. Slowly & gradually, Zoya is learning a lot more about Adnan’s dirty family secrets which are shocking as well as sickening for her.

I liked the fact that for the first time Moeez himself made Khalida realize about the sort of a person he is. It was good to see Khalida being guilty & ashamed for what she has done with Zoya because deep down she knows who was better for her daughter but just because it was Moeez she considered as her priority, Khalida succumbed to his pressures & sealed a wrong deal of Zoya’s fate.

Adnan is a very difficult person to be with. He is like that because his parents allowed him to become like that. They never really tried to shape up his character or teach him a thing or two about how to be a good person & about morality but instead everything he ever did was always brushed under the carpet & he was never rebuked for it which is why sadly, Zoya is now facing the brunt of his bad upbringing. Even though Zoya’s MIL does feel bad for her but still by the end of the day, like a typical woman she is, she only supports her son because she knows she can’t do anything to change him so she thinks the only best solution is to make Zoya change & adapt to Adnan’s demands because according to her, Zoya comes from such a place where she can be easily moulded as she hasn’t seen such luxuries before.

It was interesting to see Akhtar finding out everything about Adnan before Khalida did because in that case, she either wouldn’t have believed what had seen or she would’ve concealed everything from Akhtar. Akhtar knew something was wrong because he could see that in Zoya’s eyes but Khalida could not or in fact Khalida didn’t want to see that because that would’ve been more like a reflection of her wrongdoing. Khalida saw how furious Akhtar was that is why she ended up believing what Zoya said, even though she told her daughter to compromise, she had to believe in Zoya’s confessions because she heard Akhtar testify against Adnan too.

I am sure this thing will create more problems for Zoya because she has yet to deal with Sanam & Sanam will do everything to make Moeez’s family look bad & wouldn’t allow anyone to say a word about her own family. I am interested to see what’ll happen ahead & how this drama will end. Share your thoughts please.

Khuda Dekh Raha Hai – Episode 10!

So, 10 episodes down & the drama is still going strong. What I like about Khuda Dekh Raha Hai is that it might not be a very commercial drama, but it has a different story which keeps on getting better & intense as the episodes pass by. You really don’t know what will come up ahead & that makes it a lot more engaging to watch.

Even though I don’t like Moeez & Sanam one bit but I like Sanam for the fact that she is giving Khalida a hard time. Khalida has spent all her life in a bubble where she was the authoritative one & ruled everything & everyone around her but unfortunately, Sanam is someone who is not used to being controlled, which is why she has set the limits straight away to make Khalida understand really well that she cannot dictate her & she won’t become a puppet.

Sanam’s attitude has forced Khalida to do some thinking & compare her to Zoya but then Khalida is being unreasonable. Sanam is an independent girl who comes from a very different set up & Zoya always respected the boundaries her mother set for her so for Khalida to expect Sanam to be like Zoya is a massive mistake on her part. Moeez seems pretty comfortable in his own orbit, he has gotten married to the love of his life, so for him, his life is complete & what Khalida says & does doesn’t really matter much.

Unfortunately, Adnan is just more like a nightmare for Zoya & for that Khalida & Moeez are to be blamed. Yes, Zoya’s submissiveness is also a reason for why she ended up like this but the whole blame goes onto her mother & brother for hitching her up with someone who she didn’t deserve. I liked the fact that Zoya at least tried to share things with her best friend because she wanted that an outlet to vent out her fears & her helplessness. The advice Zoya’s friend gave to her were definitely coming from someone who couldn’t relate to what Zoya was going through. She really thought that just by spending some time with Adnan, Zoya will be able to bring a change in him but things are easier said than done. Only Zoya knows what sort of a deep pit she has fallen into & she can’t see a way out of it. She is trapped & that scenario was illustrated beautifully.

So, Zoya’s father in law is only trying to use her as a cash cow. He really had this thing pre-planned which is why he was so persistent on getting Adnan married to Zoya. Just because of her presence he can see a good amount of money making its way into his bank account but then Adnan has some ulterior motives too. He knows that his father is counting on him & Zoya both, so he knows he has gotten a perfect opportunity to earn some benefits too.

Sanam may not like anybody’s interference in her life but then the way she interfered in Khalida’s life was a good contradiction on her principles & her rules. What she said was right but then it just didn’t make sense as to why she got so worried about what Khalida was doing was right or wrong. I was kind of relieved to see Adnan’s mother being a bit more courteous towards Zoya. She may be a materialistic or a commercial minded person but at least she has a soft corner for Zoya because she knows her son’s fault & for a change it was good to see her being conscious of what Zoya must be feeling & going through.

The preview of next episode promised a lot more drama & tension between the mother-son duo of Khalida & Moeez just because of Sanam. I really hope Zoya speaks up & lets her father know what she is going through because she really shouldn’t keep it to herself because that’s not the best solution to her problem. I am glad that we’re almost half-way through the drama & it still seems promising. Share your thoughts on this episode of Khuda Dekh Raha Hai please.

Khuda Dekh Raha Hai – Episode 1 & 2!

Ohkay so, when I asked my awesome readers to suggest me a good drama to review, I got a lot of recommendations for Khuda Dekh Raha Hai & surprisingly, I found it pretty interesting. Writing of Shahzad Javed & Atifa Mohammad, Production of Sadia Jabbar & Direction of Sabiha Sumar; Khuda Dekh Raha Hai airs on Aplus & it deals with a very different subject. For now, you really can’t figure out what message are they trying to convey but after watching the first two episodes, I have a feeling that they’ll definitely live up to our expectations because till now they’ve very intelligently dealt with such a complex subject that often rules people’s lives.

The story is about Khalida (Bushra Ansari) & her family that consists of her husband Akhtar (Qazi Wajid), son Moeez (Asad Siddique) & her daughter Zoya (Sajjal Ali). Khalida runs an Istakhara Centre where she thinks she is helping people by listening to their sufferings & advising them about how they should deal with such issues. Khalida is very passionate about what she does because according to her, she is conducting a good cause by helping people & she believes she shows them the right path through her Istakhara according to the hints she gets from The Creator. The setup of her family is completely different to how it should be, given how religious Khalida supposedly is. Akhtar doesn’t support what his wife does because according to him, she is just running a business & is earning through people’s problems. Moeez is an obedient son who looks after his father’s business but at the same time, he’s stubborn enough to get what he wants. Zoya is also obedient & does what her mother tells her to but she’s a lot more logical & is more like a voice of reason in that house which is ruled by an orthodox & staunch Khalida.

Coll 1

I found it pretty interesting that where Khalida has engrossed herself into other’s problems & gives a considerable amount of time to her welfare activity, she is oblivious to what her kids are up to. Both Moeez & Zoya are two decent people but they’ve found a way to break the rules Khalida has set for them. Moeez happens to be in a relationship with a very liberal & independent girl Sanam (Sana Askari) who doesn’t believe in compromising when it comes to what she wants. She has Moeez wrapped around her finger because she knows that he loves her & would do anything for her. Zoya is also involved with her batch-mate Junaid (Agha Ali) who happens to be a musician. Zoya is still a bit more considerate to her mother’s wishes in comparison to Moeez because he has made it very clear that no matter what happens, he will only get married to Sanam but Zoya on the other hand keeps on telling Junaid that her mother will never approve of their marriage until he stops being a musician.

Coll 2

I think they gave a very realistic picture to a personality of such a woman who has made a name in her circle because of her religious inclination. There are people who depend on her verdict more than they would depend on their own instincts. Khalida is more like a decision maker in the lives of those people who follow her & believe her verdict without a doubt. The way Khalida painted her activity actually made me believe that she was doing it all without expecting anything in return but the decisions she made deciding the fate of two of her followers actually showed another side of the picture. It’s still a mystery as to why Khalida does it but going by what was shown, it’s hard to believe that she could be responsible for ruining so many lives just by exploiting those who put their faith in her. She’s more like those typical peer fakirs who believe to have some super-powers but are misapprehended that they can shape up people’s lives because what she orders others to do & what happens under her own roof right under her nose are two different stories. Khalida’s character is very complex because there are a lot of shades that she embodies. She is religious but on the other hand she doesn’t treat her husband with the respect he is entitled to. She thinks carrying on with a wazeefa is more important than to tend to someone who might be suffering with serious health issues.

I liked Zoya’s character a lot because she questioned her mother & tried to mend her perspective rightfully. She seems rational & logical because she just doesn’t believe in following her mother blindly. Yes, Zoya is conscious of her mother’s likes & dislikes & gives her that much respect that she is entitled to but on the other hand she lets her feelings get the best of her & she often deceives her mother because she knows that no matter how hard she will try, she won’t get an approval of her mother for the things she likes & enjoys. I don’t say that I liked Moeez’s character but I found him interesting in a way too, in fact I like how both these siblings are different yet similar to each other. Zoya at least tries to make Junaid understand what her mother expects & what her family background’s like but Moeez conveniently resorts to hiding the truth from both; Sanam & Khalida. As much as he might say that he supports her mother, but when it comes to Sanam, he makes it very clear that even though Khalida might not like Sanam for a lot of things, he will stick to his decision of marrying her because she makes him happy. As much as I want to believe that Sanam is as sincere to Moeez as he is to her, I feel she isn’t because she doesn’t love him unconditionally as she has decided to get married to him after giving consideration to a lot of other things that she might be able to benefit from, through Moeez.

So, my verdict about Khuda Dekh Raha Hai would be; so far so good & I just so hope that it stays that way. The drama has had a good start & I am glad that even though the cast might not be a biggie, the story seems to be different & the characters are nicely etched out too. I found the chemistry between all the characters really good & they all seemed very comfortable with each other which actually gave a good feel to the drama. The acting has been good & so has been the direction; however I do feel that the production value could’ve been better but never mind, as far as we’re going to get a good drama & a good story, rest of the things don’t really matter. Share your say about first 2 episodes of Khuda Dekh Raha Hai & yes, I thank all those readers who suggested this drama to me. :)

Khuda Dekh Raha Hai – Episode 08 & 09!

The thing I like the most about this play is the perfect pace it has offered till date. I really like the way the story is being told & is progressing but I really hope they don’t invest a lot of time in showing Zoya’s ordeals & they keep on changing the tracks & the stories related to it. I think now when Zoya has gotten married, we all know she will have a tough time with Adnan being by her side but I really am not looking forward to the never-ending depression bouts of Zoya.

I really can’t understand why Khalida did this to her own daughter. Clearly both Akhtar & Khalida were sceptical when it came to this proposal but I so wish Akhtar had intervened. He has always stood up for his daughter but then I think the way Zoya showed submissiveness to Khalida’s decision, that took away the option Akhtar might’ve gotten & then he couldn’t do anything to save the day but still being a father he had every right to support his daughter & talk her out of making such a huge mistake of her life. Akhtar could see that Zoya wasn’t happy but the way he allowed her to go ahead with this marriage makes him look weak. Khalida thinks leaving what she does after how she has lied to Zoya is a compensation enough but that is definitely not the case. Khalida is living in a fool’s paradise to think that her decision won’t harm & haunt her for the rest of life especially after she will see Zoya suffering. I can see the curse of that heartbroken girl being materialized pretty soon because Khalida herself chose that path for her daughter.

I liked that Zoya gave a piece of her mind to Moeez. I definitely hate Moeez’s character & his nature especially because of the way he treats & uses Zoya as a puppet to make Sanam happy. He wasn’t bothered about what Zoya was going through but he was more worried about how Sanam would feel if Zoya didn’t show up. I so wish Zoya was as thick-skinned as him & as selfish as his brother because that way she could’ve saved herself from the hell she has gotten into. She actually proved that her family & especially her mother mattered to her the most which is why just so effortlessly she backed out of all the promises she had ever made to Junaid. I like Junaid for the fact that he wanted to try till the end. He didn’t give up because he actually loved her a lot but sadly, the luck wasn’t on his side.

Adnan is definitely the sort of a guy any parents wouldn’t want their daughter to get married to because he falls short on all accounts of decency. I really don’t understand when he wasn’t ready to change his lifestyle & he wasn’t ready to leave what he does, why he agreed on getting married? Going by what we know about him, Adnan is such a person who can never be pushed into doing something that he doesn’t like & clearly, the way he is pretty comfortable in his life shows that he wasn’t interested in getting committed so it seems out of the line of his character that he agreed to this marriage. I felt for Zoya a lot after how she attended Adnan when he showed up after they got married. Even though I was angry at what she did to herself, I felt for her as well because she was trying really hard to accept this marriage & Adnan wholeheartedly. I must say the subsequent scenes of the duo together were quite suggestive & they could’ve been skipped, in fact they should have been skipped because there was no point of elaborating all that. I must say the ease with which such scenes are shot & are made part of our dramas these days is actually quite shocking & alarming because no one wants to see such things & these scenes don’t take the story forward in any way.

Finally, Zoya has started to understand that Adnan is definitely not the husband she dreamed of because he is quite different to what she had imagined. I felt that the scene where Adnan speaks to his girlfriend right in front of Zoya was quite forced & unrealistic because no matter how cool he must be with whom he is, he wouldn’t want to shock his bride just like that. Sanam’s parents are equally bad too & no wonder why Adnan & Sanam turned out this way because they didn’t have perfect role models of parents to follow & look up to. Sanam’s father is a very practical man who only puts monetary benefits ahead of everything else & his wife doesn’t seem to mind it at all.

I so want to see Khalida & Moeez suffering because of Sanam but I so don’t want to see Zoya suffering which is unavoidable as Adnan is going to test her patience a lot. The drama has become interesting but I so wish the pace stays the same & things keep on rolling. Share your thoughts about this & the previous episode of Khuda Dekh Raha Hai please. :)

Khuda Dekh Raha Hai – Episode 07!

I am so glad with the pace of this drama because all the episodes have been engaging & very interesting. I like how smoothly they are progressing the story & give us something new every single time. I like this drama for the fact that it’s very different from what we get to see on our screens usually which makes it a good watch.

To be honest, I hate Moeez & even Khalida for tricking Zoya into getting married to Adnan. I really thought this time Khalida will do justice to Zoya as well because she allowed Moeez to be with Sanam but sadly, it was Moeez who has his mother wrapped around his finger that’s why he knew exactly what to say & how to say it in order to convince Khalida that Adnan was a better option. Moeez is actually a spineless person who dreads losing Sanam just because she threatened to do so; therefore he thought it was his duty to follow her instructions & fulfil her wishes, which is why he sacrificed Zoya’s happiness over his wife-to-be’s. It was actually sad to see Moeez bringing up Junaid’s past again & again just because he knew Khalida will succumb to the tactic.

Even though I was sure about what Khalida used to do in the name of religion wasn’t right but she proved it this time that for her, it’s only her ego that matters the most & she is so blinded by the urge to save herself from humiliation that she chose to lie to her husband & her daughter to risk her future. Khalida thinks she can lie using ‘istakhara’ as an excuse just because she doesn’t want people to associate her name with a former musician. Yes, we saw how hard it was for Khalida to do that & how restless she was after she lied but the point is that she did & that’s all that matters, which makes her an unrespectable person.

I loved Akhtar’s approach on this. He knows how hard this must be on Zoya because of which he decides he will do an istakhara himself for her because he already feels something isn’t right & for all the obvious reasons because he himself believes that what Khalida says & does isn’t right & authentic. I hated seeing Zoya surrendering in front of Khalida because she trusts her mother more than anything & who wouldn’t do that? Zoya can never ever imagine that what her mother has told her actually is for her own benefit. It’s actually very sad that just because Khalida sides with Moeez more, she is ready to sacrifice her daughter in order to make him happy & Zoya can’t see that.

I am glad that for a change they have found a girl as Zoya’s friend who is good at acting because it’s like a norm in so many dramas that those girls who are chosen to play the roles of ‘friends’ happen to be talent & acting-free but I am glad Zoya’s friend is a decent addition to the cast of this drama. I liked how she understood what Khalida did but obviously Zoya cannot even think about doubting her mother as she can’t imagine Khalida would do something of that sort to her own flesh & blood. Zoya can’t imagine that Khalida can be so mean to ruin Zoya’s life just because of her own stubbornness & ego.

I feel Sajjal Ali acted really well in this particular episode. She actually portrayed how it feels to be heartbroken but smile in front of others just to make them happy. She is ready to let Khalida know that she’s happy with her decision & has agreed to it without any doubts & I feel this will mark the doom of Khalida because she lied to her own daughter. Khuda Dekh Raha Hai – Episode 06!

Ohkay so, it was another week, another interesting & happening episode of Khuda Dekh Raha Hai. I really like how the story of this drama is progressing smoothly with a perfect pace to keep the interest of the viewers intact. There are still so many questions that we’re seeking answers of but I like how they are revealing a few cards at a time which actually make me look forward to the next episode every single time.

I really must say I hate Moeez for being such a hypocrite. Firstly, if he really can’t stand the idea of Zoya attending a concert, then he should have the same issue with Sanam for going to Junaid’s concerts as well because she was the one who informed him about Zoya’s presence, so when Moeez can create a havoc over such a thing then he should have similar standards when it comes to his fiancée. I just never thought that he would be so selfish to put Sanam ahead of Zoya. Apparently, his choice of getting married to the one he loves isn’t something to be questioned about but in Zoya’s case, according to him she should be ashamed? Moeez never really cared that Zoya was defaming his family or something but he blew it all out of proportion just so that he can later infuse the idea of Zoya’s marriage to Adnan. Another thing that really caught me off guard was that Moeez has so much acceptance to whatever Sanam does just because he has gotten used to the idea of her being a liberal, modern & independent woman but when it comes to Zoya, he couldn’t even tolerate the fact that she can also like someone & can choose her life partner herself just because she comes from a simple background & hasn’t been raised like Sanam to be independent & liberal? It’s like he wants his sister to sacrifice her happiness just because she isn’t modern enough & in that case she isn’t entitled to making some choices for herself.

I really don’t like Sanam as well, yes, we all understood the thing about her that she was selfish & dominating but just for the sake of her own benefit, she is ready to spoil Zoya’s life? She knows her brother inside out & he is not an ideal match for any girl but just because she thinks Zoya’s a simple girl, she will put up with all the wrongdoings of Adnan? I must say I hated the idea of Moeez being so blind that he himself saw how unsober Adnan was but he chose to ‘ignore’ it just because he happens to be Sanam’s brother? I am sure the way Sanam has him wrapped around her finger, Moeez himself will suffer a lot after his marriage to her because she knows how to get what she wants & Moeez for now is unable to see how she’s plays with him because he is too blinded by his one-sided unconditional love.

To be honest, I feel Junaid’s friend gets a lot of coverage in every single episode. His scenes are boring & unnecessarily long & his conversations are repetitive to the core. Yes, we all get that he is Junaid’s well-wisher & tries to show him the other side of the picture too but bhai sahab when you already know that your friend has pretty much made up his mind then why don’t you try to mind your own business? He’s a pessimist & I hope his scenes along with his role are cut short in the episodes to come.

To be honest, for the first time I liked the motherly instincts in Khalida. As much as she was shocked at what Zoya did, she ended up understanding her point of view, she considered what her daughter wanted & she also agreed to her husband because she knew he made a lot more sense & outdid all her arguments that she had against Zoya & Junaid’s relation. I have always felt that no matter how unreasonable Khalida might be, she is easy to trick & convince. I really can’t emphasize on how much I like Akhtar’s character; he is an ideal father who knows how to be friends with his children. Moeez is least bothered about his parents & he only maintains his terms with his mother because he knows that eventually she ends up controlling everything that happens in the house & she listens to him plus Moeez also knows that his father doesn’t have much say as Khalida hasn’t given him the edge that normally a husband has when it comes to these matters. I really loved Akhtar’s relation & connectivity with Zoya & how he supported her & I must say all his dialogues are well-written because every time I feel he ends up saying what’s going through our minds.

Khalida is pretty much engrossed in what she does but I am still eager to know what’s the story behind her becoming the way she is now. Khalida also hinted that she wouldn’t allow Zoya to do what she herself has done in her past. I am sure Khalida pretty much understand what it means to love someone & how much one wants to be with the one they love. I actually enjoyed the mother-daughter scenes that Khalida & Zoya shared in this episode. This drama is getting a lot more interesting & I so hope that the pace stays the same. Please share your thoughts about this episode & the drama in general. :)

Khuda Dekh Raha Hai – Episode 05!

Ohkay so, it was another decent episode of Khuda Dekh Raha Hai this week. I like watching this drama because it’s well paced & more than that it’s a decent watch on Thursdays. The story’s progressing smoothly which makes it easier to follow & look forward to next episode as well.

This episode revolved more around Zoya & her marriage proposals. Zoya sighs with relief because Junaid finally decides to bid his music career goodbye. Only because it happens to be his last concert, he wants that night to be memorable for both; himself & for Zoya which is why he asks her to be there to witness his last performance. As Zoya happens to be well aware of what this decision would cost & mean to Junaid, she respects his demand & decides to be there for him as she also wants to know what’s running through his mind but unfortunately she is spotted by Sanam. Junaid obviously makes sure that Zoya doesn’t have any doubts left which is why he makes sure she understands that she is just as important to him as he is to her & his music definitely means nothing to him in comparison to the life he has planned ahead with Zoya by his side. I found their conversation actually very sweet because they both love each other equally, even though Zoya has asked for so much more, Junaid is willing to do everything for her.

To be honest I am amazed that Khalida doesn’t seem to mind Zoya’s activities. Even when she questions her, Zoya tries to make excuses & starts reasoning with her. Not that Zoya isn’t doing something wrong but she isn’t doing something right either because she actually deceives her family every single time she plans a meeting with Junaid. I feel this is a mistake on Khalida’s part as well that she is so oblivious & doesn’t seem to care much about what Zoya’s usually upto, it’s like Khalida has pretty much stopped being bothered about her family & for the reasons best known to her. Yes, she does talk to them every now & lets them know the rules she is setting but then she isn’t in control of her family as much as she should be.

Like I predicted; Sanam is already on Zoya’s case as she wants her to get married to Adnan. Even though Moeez tried to talk her out of it I knew he will succumb to her pressurizing because he loves her to such an extent that he would never do anything against her wish or will. Just because Sanam’s father has already bribed her to help her with the boutique, she now has all the more reason to force Adnan into Zoya’s life.

I was surprised to see Junaid making his way into meeting Zoya’s family so early but then later what happened was actually kind of surprising. I knew that Moeez was kind of selfish but didn’t know his limit that he was ready to put Junaid down just because of Adnan. Moeez himself knows what sort of a person Adnan is but just because he happens to be Sanam’s brother; Moeez has stopped seeing his bad side & thinks he is suitable for Zoya. Yes, Junaid is a musician but the point is he loves Zoya & Zoya loves him, so when Moeez can get married to the one he loves, why can’t Zoya do that? I really thought Moeez would support his sister & he would be open-minded about Zoya liking someone but it wasn’t appeasing seeing him putting Sanam ahead of his own sister. I so wish Zoya stands for her rights & pressurizes her family like Moeez did when it came to Sanam but then Moeez only had to deal with his mother & he knew his ways but now sadly Zoya will have to put up with Moeez, Sanam & Khalida but I have a feeling that Khalida will do what Moeez will tell her to because she obviously favours him more than Zoya. Let’s see what happens ahead? Share your thoughts about this episode & tell me how much you want Zoya to stand up for herself?

Khuda Dekh Raha Hai – Episode 04!

Hmmm, it was an interesting episode but was kind of slow because the story didn’t really move forward much. This episode pretty much revolved around Adnan, Junaid & Zoya but I must say I really like the feel & execution of this drama, it’s simple, to-the-point & pretty decent & that makes it an interesting watch.

So, Sanam’s brother Adnan is a perfect example of ‘bigra hua ameer larka’. As much as his indecency didn’t shock me, what did was the way his family seemed normal & showed acceptance towards everything he does. He drinks but his mother wasn’t bothered about it & in fact just told him to get rid of the reek of the spirit. Like I sussed before, Sanam has already called her dibs on Zoya for Adnan & it’s not only Sanam who thinks Zoya is perfect for her brother, Sanam’s father has his own ulterior motives behind getting Adnan married to Zoya & his mother has her own. It was absolutely appalling to see how they already took Zoya as a nobody & thought that she would just be satisfied with just a tag of being Adnan’s wife whereas they themselves know that he is only capable of ruining anyone’s life because he’s on his way of self-destruction, so the person who himself doesn’t have a direction & leads a purposeless life, how would he be able to handle a responsibility of a life partner?

Junaid on the other hand is doing everything he can just so that he can capacitate himself of getting married to Zoya because she is all that matters to him. I actually really like the understanding both Junaid & Zoya have. He understands that she has some boundaries set by her mother & she is bound to abide by them & he doesn’t seem to have an issue with it whereas Zoya also believes in giving him a lot chances that he needs because she understands that what she has demanded from him is not going to be easy for him especially & because of this, I really like their relation & the respect they both have for each other. Just when Faseeh tried to instil a doubt in Junaid’s mind about Zoya & he decided to question her, she made sure to clarify it all because she knows where she stands & her rationality & logical reasoning behind everything makes me like her even more.

Junaid’s struggle seems very real & relatable. He knows that it won’t be easy for him to change his lifestyle overnight because he has done pretty well for himself in such a short span of time due to his music career but the way he is keen on bringing the change in his life really shows that he loves Zoya a lot. Obviously, Faseeh is only concerned about Junaid & that is why he only thinks through one-sided perspective but he can’t seem to grasp the fact that for Junaid nothing else matters anymore. For now, Junaid might think that this is what he wants but the main question is, will he stay determined & focus even after he will get married to Zoya because being an artist, he doesn’t seem to have a calibre fit for a 9-5 job but then luckily the job offer he got is somehow related to his field so I am guessing it won’t be a problem for Junaid in the long run.

Even though Sanam hasn’t gotten married to Moeez yet, I can see how she will try to rule his family through him because for Moeez no one else matters as much as Sanam does, so he will always follow her lead & would do anything that would please his fiancée/wife & for this I believe, he will also join hands with Sanam & force Zoya to get married to Adnan because firstly, he didn’t feel anything odd in the way Adnan behaved & secondly, he would never go against Sanam’s wishes.

So, this is it from my side & I must say I can’t get over the fact that Sajjal Ali looks so cute & youthful & I also like how casual & effortless Agha Ali has been acting in this drama, it looks like he is totally into his character or may be his comfort zone because of which he is presenting the character of Junaid with so much ease, which is good to see because in most of the dramas he seems very stiff & reserved. Anyways, the preview of the next episode seemed interesting too & I am really eager to see how the story of all the tracks will unfold. Khuda Dekh Raha Hai – Episode 03!

Ohkay so, it was a very interesting episode of Khuda Dekh Raha Hai because the story moved forward swiftly while it stirred curiosity simultaneously. We got some more insight into our characters & I absolutely love how they’re revealing the cards for now. The episode was based on to-the-point, short & a lot of scenes which made the pace, perfect.

So, Junaid actually loves Zoya a lot & that’s a done deal because he is ready to leave everything aside just to be with Zoya. He is ready to become someone she wants him to be. Junaid is very good at what he does & he is passionate about music too but deep down he really thinks all this isn’t worth it in comparison to the peace & happiness he feels when he is with Zoya. I thoroughly enjoyed the conversation Junaid & his friend had because they both were right in their own way. Junaid really feels Zoya is all he ever wanted but his friend thinks that Junaid is only being impractical & emotional. His friend understands the potential Junaid has & he believes that Junaid’s passion will take him to places because people love him which is why he thinks Zoya’s only an obstacle in Junaid’s success. For now, Junaid really can’t see anything else because he wants to prove his love to Zoya but I really want to see for how long will it last because once the novelty will wear off, I really feel Junaid might regret his decision of leaving his career for his love-life.

They took us a on a ride through Khalida’s character. We got to see a little more shades of her in which she really seemed meagre in comparison to what she poses to be. Khalida really sees herself as someone who has a command over what she does & that is why she thinks she has a right to decide things for people but she is just like any other regular human being who has no control over their desire & end up committing sins. As per what she portrays, Khalida should be a very humble & easy-going person, she should be someone who knows the art of forgiving but in reality she is rigid, stubborn, inconsiderate & judgmental. She really thinks Zoya is better than Sanam because she wears a dupatta & when asked about the issues she had with Sanam, she only responded in a way which showed that she was judging Sanam for quite petty issues which didn’t suit the woman of her stature; considering how religious she is.

The scene in which a girl comes to cuss at Khalida was very intense & interesting. Certainly what the girl said was a truth & it perfectly pictured the hell that must’ve broken loose in her & the groom’s household. They both loved each other & decided to get married but their dream turned into a nightmare only because of Khalida. The frustration & agitation of the girl was portrayed aptly because no matter what Khalida says, she really doesn’t understand that it took only one statement of hers to ruin someone’s life & she really is incapable of seeing the intensity of such decisions. Undoubtedly that incident forced Khalida to do some thinking & she spent some restless nights but what emerged as her one of the reasons of her worry was shocking. Khalida clearly has some baggage that she is trying to hide using her piety as a facade or she is trying to earn some forgiveness because she might have gone against her mother’s orders. It is pretty evident that Khalida allowed some worldly desires to rule her for a moment when she was young & now she is in a deep regret, maybe that’s why she never really had a relationship based on respect with her husband.

I like Akhtar’s character. He tries to knock him sense into his wife every chance he gets but sadly he knows he isn’t dealing with such a person who would take his word seriously. Khalida is quite opinionated & believes she is right but it was good to see that she was shaken after what the girl said to her & maybe that’s why she agreed to Moeez’s engagement with Sanam because she doesn’t want anything to happen to her family & her children.

All in all I thoroughly enjoyed watching this episode. Seems like Imran Aslam has also made an entry as Sanam’s brother Adnan. I am sure things won’t be easy & smooth for Zoya because seeing how pushy & dominating Sanam is, she will definitely try to talk Zoya into marrying Adnan as it’s obvious that his first choice for a life partner would be Zoya. I am eagerly waiting for the next episode, please share your say about Khuda Dekh Raha Hai as well.

Keep Supporting,
Cheers,
