Ahsan Khan in his show bol nights invited Faysal Qureshi and asked about the controversy which has been discussed a lot on which Faysal cleared that it was over, I felt so bad when they said Legends of Industry as shame and I left working for hum tv right after Badar Khalil scandal but the thing that we noticed in all the conversation was that, Ahsan wasn’t ready to take any of Momina’s mis conduct, he tried hard to defend hum tv, He defended Fawad and he said maybe Badar khalil was wrong then Faysal said was Badar apaa lying? Don’t take sides, industry should end up this biased attitude towards some so called stars then Ahsan got quiet and hide his face because Faysal was unstoppable. Ahsan said maybe I feel it wasn’t true then again Faysal asked to him haven’t you seen awards? Heer Maan Ja – Movie Review – is it worth watching? There are very few films which hit the right note in every aspect but at the end of the day, viewers expect to be entertained more than anything else. Heer Maan Ja has its high and low points but the good news is that it entertains and even though it is essentially a comic film but the serious elements of the film have been gelled in beautifully with the comic ones. While some of the comic dialogues fall flat, others are enjoyable. This film is extremely well directed especially because the director Azfar Jafri does not always play it safe. The script is typical in many ways, some of the scenes too are not entirely new but even then the director of photography and the actors make it work. Heer Maan Jaa will remind you of the romantic Bollywood films of the 80s but with spectacular visuals.

Heer Maan Ja is a decent mix of emotional drama and comedy. The beautiful visuals, perfect makeovers and beautiful cinematography make this film a visual delight. This film will make you laugh and it will make you cry at the same time but there are also times when the dialogues are not very impressive. The characters however have a history, a present and more importantly a personality. There are times when you feel that Heer (Hareem Farooq) is too dressed up considering the circumstances she is in but Hareem Farooq looks stunning in every single shot and even makes the most unconvincing parts of the film a treat to watch. Heer Maan Ja has all the ingredients of a commercial film but Ali Rehman Khan and Hareem Farooq’s on-screen chemistry has not been utilized to the maximum. Ali Rehman Khan’s comic timing is perfect in the film, he looks handsome and sleek in every single scene but he is not very convincing as the love-stricken hero who is willing to do whatever it takes to win over the love of his life. It more often looks like something he is doing out of duty and guilt than love.
Heer Maan Ja promised to be a romantic comedy and it delivers just that even though the romance bit especially from the hero’s side doesn’t seem genuine enough most of the times. Mojiz Hassan has also played his role well, even though his comic lines at times are not funny at all but he has done complete justice to his role. Shamayale Khattak’s role is relatively less important but he has been given plenty of screen time. He doesn’t add much to the plot but he definitely delivers in the acting department.
Another good thing about Heer Maan Ja is that the characters are not caricatures and the fact that the actors have played their roles so well adds more life to them. Heer Maan Ja also has supporting characters who have a definite screen presence. Faizan Shaikh shows his versatility in the film in different ways. He plays a negative role superbly right from the get-go. One thing is for sure when it comes to visuals IRK Films simply doesn’t compromise! Heer and Kabeer are dressed to impress throughout, they go through hell but they look perfect the whole time and even though there were instances when Hareem Farooq could easily have done without the accessories, these beautiful people do look great on the big screen. The styling and dresses are gorgeous throughout and the backgrounds are carefully designed too. Aamina Sheikh makes her presence felt even though she has a guest appearance in the film. Her character and her outlook is definitely likable and noticeable. Personally, I felt that Hareem Farooq completely stole the show by giving a brilliant performance throughout.
Ali Rehman Khan, Hareem Farooq and Faizan Shaikh show that they are few of those Pakistani celebrities who can actually dance. Ali Rehman Khan and Faizan Shaikh’s dance moves were full of energy and well choreographed. Heer Maan Jaa only has 4 songs, one of which comes at the very end. While these songs don’t blow you away, they are decent enough and they are visually pleasing in particular. The background score has been used very wisely in the film which adds more life to the scenes.
Heer Maan Ja is a visual treat, a film which should be watched on the big screen. The story is simple but it celebrates friendship and commitment (at times more than love). The comic element of the film is not completely on point but it definitely keeps you entertained for the most part. Hareem Farooq is the main attraction of Heer Maan Ja, she looks spectacular throughout and her acting is remarkable. The editing and the overall content of the film could have been more crisp. Watching Kabeer give up on his career completely was the most disappointing element of the story. I was hoping, the film would end with him giving another phenomenal presentation but teaching his colleague a lesson or two in a more subtle manner. Heer Maan Ja provides decent entertainment if you’re looking for a simple Pakistani film to watch on Eid with your family.
Ohkay so, this episode of Khaas again showed the mental pressure & torture that Saba was dealing with. Even though I really appreciate the time they have taken to build things up & to show the emotions as well as the mental state of Saba in detail, I do feel that the story has not been making much progress. I feel things should move on now & take the story to the next level where Saba is finally speaking the truth & not just tolerating everything to make this dying relationship work!
Fakhir has always been the voice of reason for Saba. He says everything that Saba wants & needs to hear in order to keep fighting. Fakhir is a wise person that is why he has never once trying to sway Saba’s feelings. He is just being a truthful friend to her who uplifts her & encourages her to push through. Saba was heartbroken when she got to know that Salma & Ammar were going to get married & that is when Fakhir told her to speak to her parents & let them know everything. Saba knows that this is not going to be easy. Saba is the only person who has seen a 3D angle of this relationship, she knows Ammar’s perspective, she also knows about her parents’ perspective too, that is why even though she wants to let everyone know her truth, she dreads it. Over the period of time, as much as Ammar has tortured Saba, he has formed this amazing image of his in front of Saba’s parents because he knows that this is something that will eventually benefit him. Ammar is a control freak in other words, he likes to control other’s perspective about himself, he likes to control what other people think about him too that is why despite showing his true colors to Saba, he has painted such a different picture of his in front of her parents.
Saba had made up her mind that she was going to let her parents know but before that happened, she was once again reminded of the fact that this was not going to be easy. Saba knows that convincing her parents to accept the reality would be something absolutely difficult because they were so sure of the fact that Ammar could never do something wrong. Saba once again got a lecture on how she should do everything to please Ammar & that how lucky she was to have a husband like him. Saba now tried to take the responsibility of her father, that was her subtle way of distracting him & once again reminding him that Ammar was not going to be there for him forever. Saba tried to make Faraz understand that he should rely on her, that was kind of the first step that Saba took on her own, she was keen to know whether her father still trusted her enough to be able to rely on her but she was disappointed to see how Faraz was so emotionally attached to Ammar. This makes things far more difficult for Saba yet again!
Nida spoke to Sonia & once again, Sonia tried to change her perspective, she tried to show her the other side of the picture but for Nida, it is obviously hard to accept because she knows Fakhir’s side of the story. Nida might give Saba some benefit of doubt but she is finding it hard to do that considering she knows that Fakhir is in love with her & Saba has been in contact with him. Nida feels Saba is cheating on Ammar, which obviously is something that will soon surface once the news of Ammar & Salma’s marriage will break on every one. Saba will accuse A,mar of cheating & that is when Nida will hold her accountable for something similar too.
Ammar got another ego boost when he got to know that Salma was so eager to get married to him. This is exactly what Ammar yearns for, he likes being wanted, he likes being longed for & this is exactly what he didn’t get after his marriage to Saba because as he got to know her, he learned that she was a confident, complete & emotionally stable person who was not looking for a knight in shining armour like him. Ammar only became frustrated when he saw that Saba didn’t believe in following his footsteps & instead she wanted to walk by his side. For now, Ammar does think that Salma wants to be rescued, he thinks after her divorce, she is lonely & she will cherish the favor Ammar will do on her by getting married to her but I can’t wait to see when & how his bubble will burst!
Overall, this episode of Khaas was interesting but I really wish to see the story moving forward & I am glad that the preview of the next episode gave me some hope. I do hope that Saba’s parents at least hear her out & let her complete before lecturing her about Ammar & his rights as a husband. Let’s see if that happens. Oh, another interesting scene was Saba & Nida’s confrontation. Saba couldn’t really connect the dots about what Nida was trying to say but she was shocked. Saba obviously does not even think about the things that people perceive about her that is why she ends up finding herself in a spotlight over & over again. Definitely looking forward to the next episode. Please share your thoughts about this episode of Khaas.

On 14 August, Independence Day is being celebrated with traditional zeal and enthusiasm across the country and nationwide. This marks the first time that Pakistan’s Independence Day is also being solemnly being held as Kashmir’s solidarity day.
Just like all of us, Pakistani celebrities are equally enthusiastic regarding what today represents. Different celebrities took to their social media handles to congratulate the nation on this special occasion. They are celebrating Independence Day in their own style, either appearing on the TV screen or by wearing designer dresses specially designed for this important event.

Javeria Saud is a Pakistani actress, producer, singer and host. She is known for her protagonist role as Jameela in drama series ’Yeh Zindagi Hai’ in 2008 which was produced by JJS Production. Her acting was appreciated by the audience and gained her a massive fan following. She got married to a film and television actor Saud with whom she owns a production house JJS Productions since 2006 in Pakistan entertainment industry. She took a break in 2001 and made a come back in 2006 after her marriage. In 2016, she co-produced the most romantic drama ’Khuda Aur Muhabbat’.

The team of Superstar has left no stone unturned to ensure that people buy the tickets and watch the film. From interviews to promises that this film will deliver, the team has done everything in its power to make this film a hit in the cinemas. While it is their right to do whatever they can to convince the audience to watch their films, it is highly unethical how the audience are being lied to as far as the actual figures are concerned.
Bilal Ashraf, who is playing the lead alongside Mahira Khan in the film posted IMDb’s rating on his Instagram story. This rating was 9/10 which would mean that IMDb highly recommends the movie. A lot of people read the reviews and check these ratings on IMDb before deciding whether they want to watch a movie or not.
Now, if you actually check the IMDb’s website the rating is completely different.
This basically shows how desperate the team Superstar are to sell their film! The rating has been falling ever since the film premiered for the general public.
It seems like the team Superstar has taken the competition a little too seriously and are now resorting to tactics which are highly unethical.
Now, after Mehwish spoke about Pakistan on international event in Oslo, Norway, Alot of celebrities and our people praised her. Shaneira Akram praised her she posted that Acting gave her limelight and popularity but her National award has given her a padestal that she needed, she said its not our achievements that we need but what do we do after that, has a meaning and Mehwish is definitely doing justice to it.
Ayesha Omar, Azfer Rehman, Faryal Mehmood, Qasim Yar Tiwana, Mehreen Syed, Zara Noor Abbas, Amna Ilyas, Nadeem Baig and Nausheen Shah also praised her on her speech and commented there.
Mehwish clearly said in speech that, “Pakistan was depicted wrong by bollywood and Hollywood as a propaganda campaign where they talked cliched opinions and didn’t get into what people are?, what is the region really famous for?, they only shown us with guns. Come on, the reality is different and now we have decided to make films about Pakistan so you can see the real image of pakistan”. Now people think that she is way better than Mahira and many others who don’t represent Pakistan instead just talk about bring friends with Indian who are hostile towards Pakistan. Most of the people now admits that she rightly deserved the Tamgha e Imtiaz and yes she is proving it.
Superstar Movie has been the most talked-about film releasing this Eid and the producers went out of their way to promote it. Pakistani films most often are disappointing in terms of screenplay and script therefore if a film delivers in these two departments then it is definitely a must-watch but then there are also films which might have a done-to-death storyline but the visuals and the dialogues are so stunning that you enjoy watching them. Then there are those films which have the perfect comic element and that is what keeps you hooked. Superstar is definitely not the kind of film that keeps you hooked or looking forward to more. It does not have a single moment which completely blows you away. Superstar tries to achieve too much but ends up showing quite a few clichéd scenarios ‘interrupted’ by some really good songs.

Mahira Khan is phenomenal as the superstar but there is absolutely nothing new or grand about her portrayal of a simple girl trying to make it big. Bilal Ashraf has a definite screen presence, he looks great on screen, his acting has improved but there definitely were times when you wished the director had made him retake those scenes. Bilal Ashraf and Mahira Khan’s romantic interactions in the film are powerful but there are very few of those. Their characters keep you confused and the changes in their characters have definitely not been given enough screen time. The songs were the best part of the film but there were too many of them and not all of them were choreographed as well as they could have been. This film could easily have been a musical. As a musician, Azaan Sami Khan did wonders because there were a variety of songs and each one of them were beautifully sung. Alizeh Shah was phenomenal as Chutki, she was the most entertaining part of the first half before the interval. She looked great on screen, gave a solid performance and made Chutki’s character more entertaining than annoying.
Superstar’s trailers promised something more than just a love story – a star’s journey, the sacrifices, and the ups and downs. Well, the movie does cover that but completely fails to highlight this aspect properly because there was more telling than showing. Superstar could conveniently be just another love story without adding the ‘Superstar’ bit. personally, I did not feel for Noori or Sameer Khan as actors/stars for a single second and there was nothing new about their struggles.
Superstar is a simple love story about two people coming from completely different backgrounds who meet, fall in love, there is heartbreak and betrayal, one is at fault and then eventually that person is forgiven and we get a happy ending! I am still wondering why the film is titled Superstar! I was honestly wishing I could have fallen in love with Noori just as easily as Sameer Khan did. This love story seemed quite forced, which is why it took me a while to warm up to it. Sameer’s betrayal was very forced and his efforts to win Noori back, in the beginning especially even more so! Sameer Khan’s betrayal did not go well with his overall personality, the lack of communication even though he was madly in love with Noori was impossible to relate to.
Like every other Pakistani film, this one too has a specific track which highlighted Pakistan/India ties, showed how patriotic the hero was and the pressures which Pakistani actors face when they work in Bollywood. Although, the falling from grace scenario was completely true but was it really needed? Why did Sameer Khan even go back to India for that Press Conference with all the riots and threats?
The cinematography of the film is not as grand and impressive as Punjab Nahi Jaungi and Balu Mahi, I was expecting better. The story is all over the place, the screenplay is dodgy but the songs keep the film from getting too dull. Bilal Ashraf looks great on the big screen and Mahira Khan is stunning in the superstar role. Mahira Khan, however, needs to experiment more because in the first half of the film her overall look and demeanor is a lot like the one she had in Saat Din Mohabbat In. The dialogues reminded me of drama serial Aangan, heavy-duty but at times out of context and hence not too meaningful. The timing of some of the jokes in the film is so bad, it’s unbelievable. The film gets better after the interval, I found it difficult to sit through it in the first half. I wish our filmmakers would invest more on original, well-thought-out and quality scripts than promotions and marketing.

Judge Frank Caprio is an American Municipal Court judge who is known for his compassion more than anything else. He is known for giving verdicts which have won him millions of fans around the world. He often shows how a judge’s job is not only to punish the criminals but also to judge whether some people simply should be given more leverage because the law they have broken is nothing compared to the hardships they face in real life.
For the first time a Pakistani student came to the court because he had three parking tickets which he had not paid for. The student told Judge Frank Caprio that he was from Pakistan and how much people loved him in Pakistan. Although Judge Frank laughed his statement off as buttering but gave him a leverage because he was a student and wished him the best for his future life.
He also gave the examples of people pressing in his court and himself and said that they too were not natives but had made a great life for themselves in America. Judge Frank shared how honored he felt to know that people all around the globe recognized his work and loved him for it.
Armeena Rana Khan, being most vocal about Priyanka ‘s violations of peace, has written an open letter to United Nations to tell them how badly she has disrepute the core value of the organization itself that is love, care, respect and integrity.
She has written a long note mentioning the time when india conducted Air strike on Pakistan, the lady Priyanka chanted, hail India #indianarmedforces to support war loudly and clearly.
The lady was lashed out by a pakistani girl Ayesha Malik on an international event where she was a guest, the girl asked to her, “you hold a position at UN and supported war…, on which reporters snatched mic from girl while she was completing her question and on the other hand,the lady Priyanka also couldn’t provide a logical answer to that.
Armeena wrote a detailed letter to the United Nations and we want it to be responded well, only by taking Mrs Priyanka Chopra – Jonas away from being ambassador of UNICEF.
The letter is attached here which she wrote along with her Fiance Fesi Khan who is also vocal about Kashmiris. We salute both of them on speaking about peace and sanity.
Federal human rights minister Shireen Mazari stated on her twitter I’d in the reply of a tweet of The dawn’s journalist that UNICEF should take her away from being a UN Ambassador for her warlike mindset she said ” UNICEF needs to take action immed or it will make a mockery of all such positions!”

“I have stopped working with Hum TV and the reason is when in an award show they replaced seat of Badoo Apa with Fawad Khan. From that day I have stopped working with Hum TV.”

Mazaaqraat is on air after the newly recorded shows with out Mohsin Abbas Haider and Qaiser Pia, both were integral part of the show. Qaiser Pia is absent from show because he was off to Saudia Arab to perform Hajj but Mohsin was fired from Duniya TV, after the controversy, the first show of eid was aired and people didn’t like the show without Mohsin Abbass Haider and Qaiser Pia, the new guy is failing to grab attention or maybe people are so attached with Mohsin Abbas Haider, that they are not accepting him at all, it seems that comedians are hardly bringing laughter because the show’s routine has been disturbed by two of main people.
The way Mohsin used to narrate the poems were sarcastically perfect, the new presenter is too normal or expression less. Mohsin ‘s command on singing is missed and we are not just fabricating a story, here we are attaching most of the comments where people are saying that without Mohsin show should be turned off or show seems fake without Mohsin and bring Dj back.
Well we hope and wish Mohsin to be back soon.

Our top famous and undisputed best actor of the times Noman Ijaz recently appeared in Iffat Omar’s show say it all where he talked about the recent two controversies, Mohsin Abbas and Firdous Jamal’s opinion, he said our problem is we are not tolerant, as a society we want to give death sentence to the one, who commits theft which isn’t just and acceptable, we start assasinating charachter of that particular person as if I talk about Mohsin, he started career with me and people want to give him hard punishment of taking his bread and butter what if he get into trauma or commit suicide, only then who is responsible. Hira Mani has posted a video on her Instagram in which she along with her family got stuck in water, she said we just came in car and but our car slowed down due to heavy water on roads, she had to ride on rickshaw and had to complete the ride through rickshaws, she asked from her kids are they enjoying the ride but they were not feeling too happy. Feroze Khan, Atif Aslam, Hamza Ali Abbasi, Danish Taimoor, Ayzah Khan and Rubina Ashraf shared the good news on their social media account in order to inform their fans. Hamza Ali, Atif Aslam, and Feroze Khan were spotted together in Makkah while sitting on the footpath along with other friends in front of a shop.

She addressed guests at an event related to films there, talking about films she said, ” I was honored to address distinguished guests in Oslo & talk abt film & peace.Also spoke about how films from Hollywood & our neighbors have vilified Pakistan to a point that even I don’t recognize the country that they show. Why is nobody showing the sacrifices we have made war on terror?
She further added that ” Bollywood could have used cinema to promote mutual understanding instead of vilifying us as they do. They need to decide which is more important – nationalistic fervor or peaceful future ”

Mehwish said our neighbors portrayed us wrong, in that time they could bridge the gap between Us and world by showing right picture, they did propaganda and showed us with gun culture whereas we focused on our audiences, probably its the time we should make movies about Pakistan and for international audiences not for only pakistan. Mehwish said there is much more to talk about, not only nationalism and Extreamism that India always show.
Mehwish raised a valid point where world doesn’t know about what Pakistan really is and we have to show the real picture and instant way could be done is through actors as they our our cultural ambassadors.
