She complained that Fawad Khan has never shown an ounce of respect towards the senior actors of Pakistani Entertainment Industry. She pointed out her behaviour towards her senior actors when she was younger saying, “When we were new to the industry, our seniors — legends such as Shamim Ara, Babra Sharif, Mahesh Bhatt and Subhash Ghai — taught us to go and acknowledge older actors.”
She doesn’t seem happy with entire generation of young actors saying, “Today’s young actors haven’t done much work but they still consider themselves to be superstars. They may have strong followings on social media or they may have acted in a few movies but they are yet to build a body of work for themselves.”
Further talking about respecting senior artists to ‘Daily Pakistan’, the masala queen made a statement in regards to Fawad Khan saying, “Fawad Khan is a good actor but is very disrespectful. He has never come up to me and said salaam to me. I am a senior, I have won many awards and worked in 155 films and 15 TV serials. And yet, I have appreciated his work. Why can’t he reciprocate by at least greeting me? He has never approached me and said ‘Meera, let’s work on a project together for Pakistan.’ These attitude problems need to be corrected.”

Fawad Khan is once again rumoured to be working with Vaani Kapoor in an Indian film that will be shot in London. He is also working on another web series for an Indian platform. His work in Ms Marvel was also because of his Pakistani work, just like his co-star Mehwish Hayat. Fawad is a big star but he needs to start looking inwards and make projects that common Pakistanis will watch who made him a star and not just Barzakhs which are not just controversial but made for a very limited audience.
As for international work, Humayun Saeed, Mehwish Hayat, Saba Qamar, Mahira Khan and Sajal Aly have all done projects internationally and they have still managed to work in Pakistan and in some really good dramas and films. Disregarding your own fans and aiming only for a specific country’s approval and audience is not the approach a star like Fawad should be taking. Making more Maula Jatts and even Khuda Ke Liyes should be the star’s goal.

Fawad Khan is hot commodity in India nowadays. The fact that this young actor has graced the cover of FilmFare Magazine and the cover reads “Fawad Khan – The Cross Border Turk who is giving our heroes sleepless nights” shows that Fawad Khan has made a name for himself in the Bollywood film industry. Fawad Khan has always made it very clear that he is not going to do any intimate scenes in his film. That is why he is asked again and again why he is against doing such scenes, in the interview to FilmFare he said, “Doing intimate scenes is something I’m uncomfortable with . Because it will not appeal to the sensibilities of my audience back home. I have to go back and work there. I won’t be a girgit (chameleon) and change my colours just because I am working here.”

All I can say is that I am pleasantly surprised that people are watching Pakistani television with so much interest. I’m here because of the viewers. I’m honoured to be a representative of them.
You have explored almost all genres of performing arts from singing to acting tomodeling. Which one is your favourite? I’d have to say that I’m not a very serious worker. I still have a long way to go. I can’t decide which one is my favourite line of work. I just do what I enjoy.
How is your married life treating you? It’s the greatest feeling in the world if you’re married to a person who means everything to you. I know it may sound clichéd but it is fantastic to be able to find such a person. Whatever good I have in me, is because of the influence of my wife, family and my son. I’m having a ball.
Is there any album coming up for your fans out there? We are a lazy bunch; especially me.There is a lot of material but picking what we want to do out of it is a difficult task.I’ve always tried to do something different.Music may now be what it has never been.It’s something I feel I have total control over while making.But I have the habit of dwelling over it.
Pakistani satellite television channels have revived dramas in Pakistan. What do you havto say about that? The increasing number of viewers is satisfying. If the viewers has had a good time and says something genuinely nice, it’s all the gratification one could ask for.
Your biggest aspiration? To be a good human being and to have a good .To be called educated and responsible.
Your biggest fear? Not being able to fulill that aspiration.
Any message to your fans out there? You can be whatever you want to be. Don’t let discouragement take you down. I could use that advice myself as well.

Ms. Marvel is an upcoming American television miniseries created by Bisha K. Ali for the streaming service Disney+, based on the Marvel Comics character Kamala Khan / Ms. Marvel. Marvel’s first Pakistani Muslim woman superhero will be played by Iman Vellani. She will take on the role of Kamala Khan, a Pakistani-American teen based in New Jersey. Another talented Pakistani working on the project is filmmaker Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, who will join Meera Menon, Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fa.
Earlier, rumors were making rounds on social media that Fawad Khan will be the part of upcoming series. Recently, Fawad Khan has confirmed his role in the upcoming Ms Marvel series, laying to rest months of speculation around the same. In a recent interview with Indian publication Film Companion, Fawad addressed questions about whether he was a part of the Marvel show to which he replied, “Yeah, I am.” He further reiterated, “I can’t deny that or lie about it because they have put out the news themselves.”
