Hamayun Saeed was severely injured in a car accident while he was in Bangkok shooting for one of his upcoming films. His car collided with a double decker bus and everyone in the car was injured. The good news is that Hamayun Saeed is fine now, he gave a brief interview to Express Tribune in which he said that it was due to the prayers of his fans that he was alive today. “It (the accident) was so bad that I couldn’t have even imagined coming out [of it] alive. It’s probably because of all my fans and their prayers that I was able to survive”, said Hamyun Saeed while talking to Express Tribune.
While talking about how he felt when the accident took place he said, “I don’t remember what happened right after the bus hit our car, but the picture that my friends drew of how my legs were jammed and body twisted was quite horrible.”
Talking about his upcoming film Hamayun Saeed said, “It will be an out-and-out comedy and the audience won’t have to think a lot to get entertained.”He said that the shooting of the film had started and it will release on Eid next year. The cast of the film consists of Humayun Saeed, Hamza Ali Abbasi, Ahmed Ali Butt, Vasay Chaudhry, Javed Sheikh, Bushra Ansari, Mehwish Hayat and Ayesha Khan.
We wish Hamayun Saeed all the success for his future endeavours.
Hamayun Saeed has been away from television for many years now because he has been busy running his own production house and now that he has stepped into the film industry many people were thinking that he may not be seen on TV again. Hamayun Saeed has found the kind of project he would like to work in and will making a comeback on television very soon. He will be seen in drama serial “Dillagi” which has been written by the very talented Faiza Iftikhar and directed by Nadeem Baig. Nadeem Baig also directed the hit film “Jawani Phir Nahi Aani” which broke all previous records.
Hamayun Saeed thinks that Dillagi is one of the best scripts written by Faiza Iftikhar who already has a lot of hit serials to her credit. He said,
“It is one of the best scripts I have come across in a very long time. Faiza Iftikhar has written it very well; in fact it wouldn’t be wrong to say this is one of her best works till date.”
Hamayun Saeed was waiting for the perfect serial to work in and Dillagi according to him is the kind of serial which is perfect for a comeback after 4 long years. He is very sure that he made a good choice. According to him,
“Then of course Nadeem is directing it. I have always preferred to do projects that have very well put together teams, which is why Dillagi felt like the perfect serial to do after a break of four years.”
Mehwish Hayat will be playing the lead role opposite Hamayun Saeed in the play. Mehwish Hayat had the best time filming with Hamayun Saeed for the film “Jawani Phir Nahi Aani”. She posted on instagram,
“This guy right here is an incredible human being and a fantastic co-star. Had a lovely time working with him.”
Six Sigma Plus which is Hamayun Saeed’s own production house will be producing the drama.
Hamayun Saeed has done a lot for the Pakistani drama industry not only by acting in the dramas but by making a production house which has given the Pakistani viewers some unforgettable dramas. Recently Hamayun Saeed talked to a newspaper about his film Bin Roye among other things. Many people are criticizing Hamayun Saeed playing the lead with Mahira Khan because he is so much older than her. Hamayun explained, “Age makes absolutely no difference. If Aamir Khan could do 3 Idiots at his age then anything is possible; one just has to work on his character and appearance to make it appear real. Mahira and I both had to look ten years younger in Bin Roye and I think we’ve done a convincing job.”
He also said something that will come as a surprise to many, “Ironically the film’s requirement was that we NOT have chemistry……….The film is very real where relationships are concerned.”
The film Bon Roye did really well on the box office. Hamayun Saeed believes that happened because it was a female centric film unlike many of the other films that were not based on such stories.
Hamayun Saeed started his career as an actor and now after so many years he owns and runs one of the biggest production houses in the country. Hamayun Saeed’s name has been associated with many actresses he has worked with. He is one of those actors who people spread a lot of rumors about.
Hamayun Saeed was invited as a guest in HUM Sitaray’s show Tonight With HSY in which he revealed why people were always busy spreading rumors about him. He said that the reason for this was that people love “masala”, they love to gossip about others especially when the gossip is of this nature. He also said that another reason for this was that most of the roles he played with his heroines were romantic in nature so people confuse his real life with reel life. He also explained that he is always friendly with his heroines on set that is also why people get the wrong impression. People will never say that they are good friends or colleagues but they will say that they are having an affair. “People confuse on-screen chemistry with something else,” explained Hamayun Saeed.
At the same time Hamayun said that he has never said that he is very pious or that he has never liked anyone. “I am not as much of a romantic as people make it look like. Some of it is true but most of it isn’t,” said the actor. Hamayun Saeed also said that his wife was very uncomfortable with all the “admirers” he has but she is used to it now and it is not that big an issue between them anymore.
Hamayun Saeed has served Pakistani entertainment industry in more ways than one. This talented artist is a true asset for our industry. Hamayun Saeed is in Bangkok nowadays where he is busy shooting for his next film. Hamayum Saeed had a terrible road accident when his car collided with a double decker bus. Hamayun Saeed was not alone but many of his team members were with him too.
The news is that although Hamayun Saeed was severely injured but he is out of danger. He is currently admitted in a hospital in Thailand.
Hamayun Saeed and Yasir Nawaz celebrated their birthdays in a private birthday bash which was attended by close friends who enjoyed the party a lot. Ayesha Omer, Angeline Malik, Bilal Lashari, Mahira Khan and many other prominent actors, directors and producers were seen at the party.
Earlier we had reported that Neray Aa singer Hamayun Farhad was diagnosed with a brain tumor. He had confirmed the news saying, “It was about two weeks ago that I was diagnosed with a brain tumour due to which I suffered a seizure. I have been lucky to find the greatest surgeon in the world to operate on me but it has not been easy,” he earlier wrote on social media. I thank you for your prayers and messages of love. I have had little or no symptoms until very recently – I am told by my doctor, my active and healthy lifestyle and general attitude of positivity have enabled me to stay strong underneath and I am recovering quickly.”
But the singer shared a good news on his Instagram that he has had a successful brain surgery which he labelled as life changing. The Overload frontman made his first ever public appearance after the surgery and he shared a picture of it on Instagram. The caption read, “I made my first public appearance in months last night – since my life changing surgery. Thanks to the powers that be and all my friends and fans for the love, energy, hugs, cheers and prayers.”

Halloween, also known as All Saints’ Eve, is celebrated around the world on 31st October every year. It’s origin traces back to the eighth century when people would light bonfires and wear costumes to ward off ghosts. It also incorporates celebrations such as trick or treating, pumpkin carving, lighting lanterns and gatherings to enjoy the holiday. In recent times, Halloween has lost it beliefs and connotations behind the holiday and is only celebrated as a fun event. If you’re one of those celebrating this holiday just for fun and laughs, here’s a few costume ideas for your Halloween party:
Joker
One of the most popular characters these days, dressing up as Joker is relatively easy. Get someone to paint your face and wear a red, orange and blue suit complete with a green wig.
Harley Quinn
Sassy and sexy, Harley Quinn is quite popular with the girls. She’s gorgeous, peppy and not to be messed with. Use hair chalks to color your hair blue and pink. For the face, just use tons of foundation, make a heart on the side of the face and put red lipstick on for your ultimate Harley Quinn look.
A pizza
Because why not? Everyone loves pizza. It’s hot, cheesy and delicious.
Adams Family
The coolest horror family to have ever existed, if your favorite color is black, you need to dress up as one of the members of this family.
An iPhone
Because it’s the digital age and no one really cares about anyone except for being on their phones 24/7. Dressing up as an iPhone is the smartest choice to make this Halloween.
Cat in the hat
Black, red and white is all you need for this outfit. If you’re not too keen on getting the whole outfit or possibly can’t find it, wear black clothes, paint a moustache on you and wrap a scarf around your neck. Get white and red chartpaper, cut strips and circles and paste or staple them together to make your hat.
Maleficent
A little tricky but don’t we all just love thise cheekbones and the makeup is to die for. If you’re really good at makeup and want to experiment, then you surely need to go for this look.
Chandelier
Of course it’s not easy donning such an outfit, so why not pop into your most sparkly dress with the shiniest jewels and lots of glittery and sparkly makeup.
Serial killer
An easy outfit, buy one of those scary ghost masks from the shops, grab a knife and you’re good to go to spook people around.
Count Dracula
A much loved choice for people of all age groups, Count Dracula is an easy look to sport for Halloween. All you need is a cape and fangs over your formal look. Classy and scary at the same time.
Simba
Dress up your little ones as a lion (preferably Simba). Don’t we all just love him since we were younger as kids too? Just so adorable, isn’t he?
Halloween is an annual holiday celebrated each year on October 31. It occurred on Wednesday, October 31 this year. It originated with the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain, when people would light bonfires and wear costumes to ward off ghosts. This time, like last year, it was celebrated with a bang by celebrities in Pakistan.
Ayesha Omer shared a picture on her Instagram teasing fans with her Halloween look. She looked scary and gorgeous at the same time. Another celebrity who shared her look was Sajal Ali. She did try to look her dreadful best but she still looks very cute.
Hania Amir has been a reigning queen on Instagram because of her Dubsmash videos. So, how could she not make the most of Halloween. She too went on to share her Halloween look with her fans.
While, some of the celebrities just gave a glimpse of their looks on Halloween this year, Nabila took Halloween celebrations to another level this year by throwing a bash called The Fantasy Pop Up. Different models were given different looks. Fauzia Aman and Sadaf Kanwal pulled their looks with utmost ease. No doubt, why they are supermodels. One person who rocked the look was Nabila herself.
Nabila dressed herself as Willy Wonka. Sadaf Kanwal’s selfie with Tabish Khoja is all things scary.
Fauzia Aman as the snap chat princess.
When everybody is so busy celebrating Halloween, how could Nadia Khan stay behind.

The film’s tagline is Pakistan’s First Solid Entertainment Film. As evident from the name and tagline it is a light commercial entertainment film with relatively new faces. Asim Mehmood has worked in films and television, who played the role of Deewar-e-Teen in film Main Hoon Shahid Afridi. Muneeb Butt is also working on television dramas mostly in second lead roles like the one in Shanakht on Hum Tv.
The film is planned to release in first half of 2015.

It is the story of Saahil (Asim Mehmood) who is the son of the a Don named Golden Bhai played by Javed Sheikh. The second hero Udaas (Muneeb Butt) is stuck in a problem which is the cliched theme of two weddings (do shadiyan), both his wives (Zara Gul and Jasmeen) are unaware of each other’s presence and thus Udaas is getting more udaas (sad) due to this. Both heroes are linked via the heroine of Saahil (Asim Mehmood), Muskarahat (Sidraa Batool) who is the sister of Udaas (Muneeb Butt). The tussles and friendship of Udaas and Saahil and settling of their issues is the whole story of the film. In between their are also sizeable performances from veterans Javed Sheikh and Asim Mehmood.
The film has a total of five songs. Out of these four are item cum dance numbers. Infact all four can be classified as item numbers. All the four songs are filmed on a different artists. The film starts with a steamy performance, ‘Zero Meter‘ shot on artist Rubab. Apart from zero meter the other item/dance number are filmed on Mahnoor (song: Thumka), Rachel Gill (song: Halla Gulla) and Mariam Ansari (Ishq Kamla). The dance of all the artists was mostly in sync with the music.
The only soft song is Suroor De in the voices of Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Afshan Jawwad is filmed on the heroine Muskarahat (Sidrah Batool) and Saahil (Asim Mehmood). Suroor De though pleasant to ears, is the most weak song in terms of performance in this film.
Seeing this film reminded of Urdu films made in 1990’s like Munda Bigra Jaye, Muamla Garbar Hai, Miss Istanbul. The Urdu cinema declined in 1980’s while Punjabi and Pashto cinema progressed quite steadily. Thus the majority of few Urdu films made in 1990’s were made by the producers of Punjabi films and the Punjabi touch or influence of Punjabi cinema was also reflected in these films be it dressing or dances. Till 1980’s Urdu cinema had a clear distinction from Punjabi cinema. Even the actors of Urdu and Punjabi cinema were separate. While Sultan Rahi/Anjuman were hit in Punjabi films, Nadeem/Shabnam and Babra Sharif were the leading stars of Urdu cinema. Films of both language have visible differences in songs, dressing, story, dances (Urdu films have very few dances) and performance.
But in 1990’s the distinction gradually faded, the artists of Punjabi films started working in Urdu cinema like Neeli, Reema, Saima, Shaan. So in many Urdu films of 1990’s it was common to see the daughter of an urban Seth wearing traditional punjabi laacha kurta. Also dances of Urdu films became more and more sleazy like Punjabi films, while acting got louder and louder like Punjabi films. But that was a memory of the past which has passed a decade ago. Seeing Halla Gulla reminded me of the same feel of the Urdu cinema of the 1990’s which infact was the lowest point of Urdu cinema in our cinema history. Despite produced in Karachi, the film has a feel of Urdu film produced in Lahore in the 90’s.
Though I watched the film in a multiplex, the film suits more for the audience of traditional single screen cinemas. So it might do well in the single screen cinemas, as compared to Multiplexes.
Here are the high and low points of the film.
Highs
The picture quality or the production quality of the film is quite good. Different locations of Karachi are shot skillfully.
The music of the film is also a plus and consists of five songs. Suroor De in the voices of Rahat Fateh Ali is soft and pleasant to ears. While the rest of the four songs which all are dance numbers are also well composed.
The film has four item/dance numbers, and dances on these songs is another highlight of the film. Anyone fond of loud dances on silver screen will like these performances. (Especially the followers of dance perfomances in Punjabi stage shows). Also as compared to the item/dance numbers released this year like Selfiyan (in Wrong Number shot on Sohai Ali Aabro), Tooti Frooti (in Karachi Se Lahore shot on Ayesha Omar), Jawaani (in Jalebi shot on Zhalay Sarhadi), dances here are in sync with music.
The film has many new faces, introducing young blood in the films is a couragous act which should be appreciated. It is the first films for Sidrah Batool, Muneeb Butt, Marium Ansari, Rachel Gill, Hina Rizvi and many others.
Veterans Javed Sheikh and Ismail Tara have performed well as usual and tried to add life to the film, despite weak script.
Lows
The backbone of a film is its script, and it is the weakest point of Halla Gulla. The plot of the film is supported by a disjointed and crippled script which in turn badly impacted the performance of the artists as well. The dialogues are also lifeless not providing the desired comic feel.
Major attention or budget of the film is spent on filming the songs, similar attention on the script and screenplay could have also provided a better cinema experience to the viewers.
There are far too many characters in the film, which appear and disappear without leaving any impact. At times even the leading characters feel as side characters.
The dances which I have mentioned as a high point of the film are also a low point of the film for anyone not a fan of Punjabi cinema styled dances. As the songs Zero Meter and Thumka have the influence of traditional Punjabi film. The latka, jhatka and thumka a signature trademark of Punjabi cinema and stage shows is also in these songs.
Performance wise, all the new comers despite their efforts are not able to leave any impact. The moment your are out of cinema, their performance is also out of your mind like the money you spent on the ticket is now out of your pocket.
Conclusion
On the whole Halla Gulla, is a weak and unimpressive effort from Kamran Akbar Khan. Advertised as Pakistan’s First Solid Entertainer it is neither solid nor much entertainig. After Dekh Magar Pyaar Se (released on 14th August 2015), Halla Gulla is another disappointment. The claimed budget of the film was 5 crore, which is enough to make a quality entertainer, but Halla Gulla has not justified its budget. The film might attract viewership at single screen cinemas, but will surely face a hard time at the multiplexes.
Rehaai has finally ended and replacing it, we have ‘Halki si Khalish’ going on air on Hum TV. The drama which is written by Attiya Dawood and directed by Adnan Wai Qureshi. The drama seems to have an unusual story where we see Javed Sheikh, Mawra Hocane, Mehreen Raheal, Shehzad sheikh, Adnan Jilani, Rubina Ashraf in lead roles.
The story of the drama revolves around two families where one belongs to Waheed who lives with her two daughters Rania and Rabia. Rania is in a relationship with Behzad who sends a proposal for Rania with his mother where some misunderstanding changes the entire story and she asks for Rabia’ s hand inspite of Rania’s. This turns into a real issue among the two sisters where Behzad too finds himself helpless to tackle the situation.
Before the family could deal with it, another issue is been raised. Javed Sheikh, who is a man of rules lands up with Mehreen Raheal who will be seen in a different role from what she has been doing so far.
Here are a few clicks of the celebrities, have a look!
Shah Rukh Khan had recently revealed that a romantic number was chopped from Raees due to the film’s length. Although the film already has a romantic number, that is, Zaalima, sung by Arijit Singh and even Udi Udi Jaye by Sukhwinder Singh. But there’s one more track featuring Mahira and Shah Rukh that didn’t make it to the silver screens but has been released online.
The song titled ‘Halka Halka’ has been sung by Sonu Nigam and Shreya Ghoshal, while composed by Ram Sampath. It has been penned by the evergreen artist Javed Akhtar. It’s a romantic song with a rain sequence, and yes, the leads are yet again romancing like never before. From dancing in the rain to stealing shy touches, SRK and Mahira created magic on screen. They certainly looked beautiful as a couple.
Coming to the release of Raees in Pakistan, well the release date is still uncertain. There are speculations that it has been delayed because the Central Censor Board has put a hold on it and others say that it is yet to be reviewed by the censor board.
The living legend Rahat Fateh Ali Khan who is ruling hearts not just in Pakistan or India but the whole worlds has giving huge hits till date. His songs are always mesmerizing and loved all over the world. The romantic classic rendition ‘Halka Halka Suroor’ by the veteran Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan has been covered by several singers over the years. But the recently released song’s music video by Rahat Fateh Khan is magical as ever! This Bollywood version of ‘Halka Halka Suroor’ is dazzling and the music video has already crossed 7 million views.
However, the original version by Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan is still unbeatable.

A 40-episode drama set in Texas and SF/peninsula that depicted people working together in the tech industry during the cradle of its kickoff through 1980 to 1995, with drama centered on the holy grail of “making the thing that is the thing.” Romances are thoughtfully described, but these are secondary to the friendships in this show, particularly those friendships that manage to recement after bonds are broken. The main characters stay constant throughout and the storyline is tightly knit Taken together, these reasons may explain why the characters are constantly well acted.
