Some dramas always get a lot of hype before they are even aired and Hum kahan Ke sachay Thay was one of them. We had Mahira Khan making a comeback, Usman Mukhtar back as a solo hero while Kubra Khan was gong to be seen in a negative role in a story written by Umera Ahmed. The hype was real and the OST further intensified the love for the drama. But one thing that came for the male lead was backlash and a lot of it.

Usman Mukhtar played the lead Aswad in teh drama and Aswad was very harsh on the female lead Mehreen which was played by Mahira Khan. People were not happy with Aswad at all and Usman actually made the character very believable. there was a lot of backlash then and people were criticizing UUsman aka Aswad a lot on the internet.

Usman was a guest on Mazaaq Raat and revealed that he knew there would be backlash for Aswad when he read the script and as the story was good, he had no qualms about the story focusing on the two female characters much more. But he did not know that the magnitude of this backlash will be this big.

Here is what he shared:

The accomplished and versatile Pakistani actor Usman Mukhtar was recently spotted in an interview with “Gloss ETC By Maliha Rehman”.

Usman Mukhtar while sharing the story behind stealing Mahira Khan’s EarPods, mentioned that “I stole Mahira’s AirPods. Basically I had the same AirPods as hers, so I didn’t knew that they were Mahira’s AirPods not mine and Mahira always forgets her things here and there on set.”

“I was packing my stuff when I saw those AirPods lying on the bed, I thought they are mine so I picked them up and putted them in my bag. Next day I got a call that Mahira’s AirPods are missing and you have similar one’s so we just wanted to ask you. I said no I don’t have them with me”, added Usman Mukhtar.

Usman further said that “After two three days during a break in between shooting I just thought to put my AirPods on charge. When I put my hand in the bag, I got another AirPod which was obviously not mine because mine were already in my hands. I immediately called Mahira and apologized saying that I didn’t knew that these were yours I thought these were mine. This is all what happened”.

Usman Mukhtar has had a long career behind the camera. He has directed and acted in many short films before he entered the commercial side of the industry with his film debut in Janaan. Usman Mukhtar had a small role in Janaan. He made his television debut with Anaa where he played Altamash.

Altamash and Izza were the characters played by Usman Mukhtar and Naimal Khawar and people just fell in love with the two. What people thought is interesting was the popularity of Usman and Naimal’s pair as compared to leads Hania and Shehzad. Usman Mukhtar went to Tony, Tea and Company show on Youtube where he revealed some interesting facts. He told that Altamash and Izza were never supporting characters but parallel leads. He said that is how he was pitched the show and how they shot it. It was just that it was his debut drama, so people mistook him playing a supporting character He also went on to reveal that Naimal’s character originally was going to be played by Urwa Hocane while Naimal was supposed to play Hania’s character. Things however, changed later on.

Here is a clip of Usman Mukhtar indulging the interesting details:

Once she came up with a head set and VR and gave it to me to wear it, it was a virtual building top, she sent me on the plank and then she pushed me, I thought I was falling from the height, she filmed it too and sent me on my birthday. Also, I had a height phobia, so, it was really terrible. Kubra Khan is a very dear friend of mine but I will not work with her”. Here’s the link to the video:

The most anticipated drama has been in news since a while and the teasers are captivating enough to have us glued to our TV screens once the drama is out. The latest teaser shows a conversation between Saba and Usman Khalid Butt in which they discuss their love life and the aftereffects of their union.

Reassuring Qandeel of his love, Usman tells her that he does not care about her past or about her previous marriage and the kids she has. He assures her that he does not even care about her Facebook videos because he is madly in love with her. Definitely adds a new twist in the story!

Qandeel, on the other hand, is determined not to accept his proposals because she seems afraid that the class divide might prove to be a hurdle in their love life and that her past will haunt her forever.
