Best Characters From Pakistani Dramas Right Now

Characterizations in dramas can make all the difference. Apart from the storyline, different shades of the characters in a drama attract the attention of the viewers. Even a negative character can stand out and leave a mark if it is etched out well. Similarly, a well-etched-out supporting character can sometimes have more of an impact than a leading character. In order for a character to stand out, it should be layered and logical. The best dramas are obviously those in which the leading and the supporting characters hold the interest of the viewers and keep them intrigued. Also, the journey of these characters plays a crucial role in making them more appealing. Every year, Pakistani drama writers give us so many unforgettable characters that leave a lasting impression. Right now there are so many dramas that have the most amazing characters, both positive and negative.

Here is a list of the best characters from Pakistani dramas right now:

[lwptoc]

Moosa (Raqse Bismil)

Moosa has to be one of the most unusual leading men in Pakistani dramas. He is a flawed character but his definite appeal makes him the top candidate for this list. The character has been penned down convincingly throughout. The writer showed the uncultured, emotional, impulsive, and rigid side of Moosa in the first few episodes. Once he fell in love and found out the truth about Zohra his character development started. Gradually, Moosa learned so much which he never thought he would have to learn, ever! He has completely changed in these 18 weeks and his journey continues to be the most engaging element of the drama. This character has the viewers’ undivided attention because Moosa’s strengths and weaknesses have been penned down beautifully by the writer. The fact that Imran Ashraf has owned this character throughout and has never hesitated to translate different shades of his personality on screen has made all the difference. The success of the drama rests largely on this character.

Best Characters From Pakistani Dramas Right Now

Jalal (Aulaad)

Jalal is the head of the family in Aulaad who is constantly tested by his sons. He is a father who dedicated his entire life to educate his sons and make them independent, yet when it was time for them to help him out financially they refused to take responsibility. Jalal made some grave mistakes throughout to hold his family together and as a result ended up losing his house and daughter. Through this character, the writer has intelligently shown that parents should not depend on their children wholly. His mistakes serve as a lesson for all the parents out there. It is rarely ever that the premise of the entire story in Pakistani dramas rests on an older protagonist therefore Aulaad’s main protagonist is one-of-a-kind. Muhammad Ahmed is a phenomenal actor who always adds intensity to all the characters he plays. His performance coupled with how beautifully this character has been penned down makes this character one of the best this season.

Best Characters From Pakistani Dramas Right Now

Afreen (Aulaad)

Afreen is a breath of fresh air in the drama serial Aulaad which has many selfish and negative characters. Afreen is a woman who is caring and loving, even though her husband does not support his parents but she always tries her best to make her husband understand that he is not being fair. She has some really positive traits but she has not been able to ‘help’ her husband and his family the way she would have wanted to. Even though she disagrees with her husband on so many things but she goes along with whatever he decides and does so without coming across as a bechari. The writer has shown through this character that sometimes the daughters-in-law can give the kind of love to their parents-in-law which the sons do not. Since there are two other daughters-in-law in the drama who are selfish and manipulative, Afreen balances out this negativity and keeps the portrayals from being stereotypical. Sunita Marshal has pulled off this character elegantly throughout hence making it stand out.

Best Characters From Pakistani Dramas Right Now

Mooni (Aulaad)

We are genuinely pleased to see an accurate representation of people with special needs in Aulaad. Mooni is one such character who has certain challenges because of which her parents have to constantly struggle to keep her situation from getting worse. Since every character in this drama serves a bigger purpose, we feel that Mooni also served the purpose of making people see that such people need unconditional love. They are also sensitive and loving individuals who are easily disturbed if they are met with challenges that are incredibly overwhelming. Through this character, the writer has also shown how important the support of the entire family is in order to keep such family members from feeling alienated. Qudsia Ali’s effortless portrayal made the viewers fall in love with her character. Mooni’s exit from the drama proved to be a turning point for many characters in the drama.

Best Characters From Pakistani Dramas Right Now

Adnan (Aulaad)

Adnan is one of the three sons in the drama serial Aulaad who disappoint their parents and even hurts them repeatedly. Even though his character is not likable, we truly appreciate how it has been penned down and translated on screen. Adnan has a weak personality which is why he is easily convinced by his wife who keeps on telling him to be more ‘selfish’. There is a good side to him but he does not care about his parents enough to put his foot down. This character shows how important it is for men to maintain a balance in relationships. Although Adnan is a sensible and intelligent man, he failed to keep this balance and therefore failed his parents. Furqan Qureshi has made sure that this character comes alive on screen in a way that the viewers do not have a problem connecting to it.

Best Characters From Pakistani Dramas Right Now

Aslam (Pehli Si Mohabbat)

Aslam from the drama serial Pehli Si Mohabbat is turning out to be such an interesting character as the story progresses. In the beginning, he came across as an immature and emotional young man but through his interactions with his family members who he holds dear, the viewers got to see a side of his personality that is likable and endearing. He is much more than a nakaam ashiq, he is a brother who witnessed his sister go through the worse, and that has shaped up his personality. As a grown man he is sensitive and does not want Rakhshi to go through what his sister went through. Even the careless element of his personality is never annoying but interesting addition to the character. Sheheryar Munawar has truly embraced this character and given it his best.

Best Characters From Pakistani Dramas Right Now

Sumbul (Dil Na Umeed Toh Nahin)

Sumbul is the main lead in drama serial Dil Na Umeed Toh Nahin. Despite of everything that happened to her, she never gave up and even now continues fighting for her freedom. Her backstory was presented on screen in such a way that the viewers had no difficulty relating to who Sumbul was and what shaped up her personality from the start. She was sold to Surraya auntie at a young age and even though she has been living this life for so long, she does not only wish to be free herself one day but she has a bigger objective of freeing all the other girls as well. Strong, sensitive, and wise, Sumbul is the kind of leading lady who reaffirms our faith in Pakistani dramas. Yumna Zaidi’s brilliant performance has definitely added more intensity to this character.

Best Characters From Pakistani Dramas Right Now

Najma (Dil Na Umeed Toh Nahin)

Najma is a mother who supports her daughters even though it requires going against her husband’s will. She is not a rebel but an intelligent woman who is making a difference bit by bit. The character has been written down logically and translated on screen convincingly. She is a caring and nurturing woman who fights against all odds and is wise enough to know the challenges she faces. Samiya Mumtaz makes Najma’s character a treat to watch because she brings out her gentle and caring nature superbly on screen.

Best Characters From Pakistani Dramas Right Now

Naeem Sherwani (Dil Na Umeed Toh Nahin)

Naeem Sherwani is a negative character yet he made it to this list because through this character the writer has intelligently highlighted the hypocrisy of our society. His sick mentality and his need to control women, unfortunately, represent the mentality of so many such men who blame women and want them to cover up because they are actually the ones with a dirty mind! He has a ‘fan following’ because a lot of people agree with his agenda and then there are others such as Qazi sahib who do not necessarily agree but go along with everything simply to be part of the ‘group’. Kashif Mehmood has done complete justice to this character.

Best Characters From Pakistani Dramas Right Now

Surraya (Dil Na Umeed Toh Nahin)

Surraya auntie runs a brothel and she was once a young girl who was sold just like all the other girls who work for her now. She lacks empathy; she is also highly manipulative and materialistic. This is another character that aptly represents a vicious circle. Even though she was once a victim of human trafficking, she does not think twice before putting the girls’ lives in danger. She learned to be cruel at a young age therefore all she cares about is material gains. The way she exploits girls and manipulates them has been presented so well on screen. Navid Shehzad is phenomenal in this role.

Best Characters From Pakistani Dramas Right Now

Haider’s Mother (Fitoor)

In the drama serial Fitoor, it won’t be wrong to say that the only wise and rational character is of Haider’s mother played beautifully by Ismat Zaidi. She has seen how hard her only child has struggled and how long it took him to move past the heartbreak, therefore now more than ever, she is adamant to turn things around. She is the kind of mother who understands and adores her son but is also not afraid to call him out when she feels he is losing sight of rationality. She has done what it takes to make her daughter-in-law Dilnasheen feel welcomed and a part of the family. She realizes that because Haider is still preoccupied with the thoughts of Mehmal, it is affecting his relationship with Dilnasheen and for that, she is being the voice of reason and calling spade a spade. In Pakistani dramas, it is a rarity to find such mothers-in-law who do not turn a blind eye to the faults of their own sons, therefore this character is not only refreshing but the best one from the drama serial Fitoor.

Best Characters From Pakistani Dramas Right Now

Ifrah (Qayamat)

Neelam Munir Khan has yet again done a character like Ifrah which probably happens to be the best thing about drama serial Qayamat. Ifrah is a strong-headed, emotionally independent, and intelligent girl who is sorted and knows what she wants out of life. Although things didn’t turn out to be quite favorable for her because she was forced into a marriage that she was not happy about, she sacrificed her happiness for the sake of her niece but still, she decided to approach it on her own terms. This is what sets her character apart. Ifrah was also intelligent enough to turn her parent’s condition around because she was able to figure out how her father was being treated unfairly. The best aspect about her character is that she doesn’t really bother about what others think about her, especially when she knows that she is in the right.

Best Characters From Pakistani Dramas Right Now

Meerab (Shehnai)

In Pakistani dramas, where all the men are known to be cold, indifferent, and flawed, Meerab’s character is the complete opposite and a breath of fresh air. He is emotional, he is sensitive and very much in touch with his feelings. The best part about him is that he is a people’s pleaser in a nice way and because he himself is so kind and nice, he sees those traits in others and often gets into trouble because he just can not say no. Meerab is not at all judgmental and believes in accepting everyone with their flaws and shortcomings. In Pakistani dramas, such characters are never really seen, this is why Meerab stands out so much and for all the right reasons. Affan Waheed should definitely do more roles like these, it is nice to see him experimenting and playing such characters to perfection.

Best Characters From Pakistani Dramas Right Now

Absar (Shehnai)

Absar is the head of the family in the drama serial Shehnai and what makes him so special and different is the fact that he is not just the head of the family because he happens to be the eldest son. He is actually someone who likes to keep the family ties intact, despite seeing how his family members often become a part of the family politics, he steers clear from it all and makes sure that these petty issues are not blown out of proportion in a way that may result in severing the ties. He keeps his whole family together while making sure that they all practice forgiveness, kindness, and respect while dealing with each other. Another aspect that is endearing about Absar is the relationship that he shares with his daughter, he trusts her completely and has given her enough freedom to confide in him.

Best Characters From Pakistani Dramas Right Now

Sami (Safar Tamam Hua)

Ali Rehman is one such actor who makes sure to take such characters who have a lot of layers and substance to them. The character of Sami is no different because he is the kind-hearted and compassionate person in the family who values his relationships even if it means he has to give up on what he loves the most. Sami has been neglected but as he grew older, he realized that even in the background, he has enough responsibility as it is to maintain the balance in the family. He is the one who listens to everyone’s problems and tries to find a solution. Sami would hardly complain about what is bothering him and because he is not so vocal about his issues, he often gets ignored. The way Ali Rehman has portrayed this character makes you feel for him and root for him that one day, he too will find his happiness and a way out from the traps that are holding him back.

Best Characters From Pakistani Dramas Right Now

Qifayat (Shehnai)

Qifayat is the problematic one, but because of the way this character has been written by Radain Shah and performed by Saleem Mairaj, it makes it one-of-a-kind. It is so interesting to see his antics where he uses his energies in creating one problem after another. Qifayat is well aware of the fact that no one in the family likes him but he continues to push his agendas without even paying heed to it. He is one such character who despite being negative and a trouble maker doesn’t really get on your nerves and makes it enjoyable seeing what he is upto.

Best Characters From Pakistani Dramas Right Now

Hajra (Raqeeb Se)

In the drama serial Raqeeb Se, the writer Bee Gul has brought forth such a situation which has probably not seen before in any other Pakistani drama. Through the character of Hajra, the writer has shown how big-hearted a woman can be, how selfless she can be and when she puts her mind to it, how nurturing she can be for everyone around her. Hajra has loved her husband and justfied it every step of the way and this is why she puts everyone around her in perplexity when they see her calmness and selflessness. Hajra’s love for Maqsood is her strength, which makes her selfless to accept the fact that her husband can share his life with a woman he has loved all his life. Hajra is like the binding force of this entire family and although she never gives herself enough credit, she is an integral part of Maqsood’s life who has provided him the home, the comfort he needed after all that he went through. Sania Saeed has breathed life into this character and made it a lot more special.

Best Characters From Pakistani Dramas Right Now

Sakina (Raqeeb Se)

Sakina has had a tough life, she knew that she won’t be able to find the happiness in her life but she chose to pay the price in order to ensure the safety and life of the man she loved. Sakina is full of secrets but she chooses silence over everything because she has come to terms with what her life has offered her. She has loved Maqsood all her life but just because she realizes that he has a life of his own, she feels burdened being around him. Sakina has never denied loving Maqsood yet at this stage of her life, she is still in a denial. Hadiqa Kiyani’s portrayal of Sakina is so measured that actually makes you feel her pain.

Best Characters From Pakistani Dramas Right Now

Nargis (Pehli Si Mohabbat)

Nargis is fierce, she is confident and she is sorted. Nargis has had her fair shares of heartbreak and has seen the ugliest side of life upclose, therefore she has come to this point that whatever her life has offered her, she has to cherish and value it. This is exactly why she has turned out to be such a dutiful and sincere wife and has accepted her step daughter with all her heart. Nargis is the kind of person who likes to empower others around her even if it means she has to give and nurture it by sacrificing a great deal. Nargis’ character is so layered but the best part about her is that she treats people the way they deserve to be treated – she can be your absolute best friend or your total nightmare, given what you want her to be.

Best Characters From Pakistani Dramas Right Now

Zainab (Pehli Si Mohabbat)

Zainab has faced rejection, sadness and heartbreak, and although she has come to terms with it, she is still recovering. The sad part is that because her own family, especially her brother and her mother chose not to hear her out and trust her, she finds it hard to move on. Zainab is a depiction of helpless and hopeless women in the society who could have had a better chance at life but were ripped off of their happiness. It is beautiful how despite not having much to give, she at least understands what her younger brother is facing and is always there to support him. Zainab comes up with some of the most profound advices for Aslam and the relationship she shares with him is simply beautiful. Uzma Hassan is at her finest in Pehli Si Mohabbat.

Best Characters From Ertugrul Ghazi Season 1

Ertugrul Ghazi’s inspiring and positive characters have played a major role in making it the most-watched drama series in Pakistan right now. It won’t be wrong to say that the main plot of this series revolves around the fight between good and evil. The writer has done an outstanding job of fleshing out some of the most impressive characters which offer variety. There are those characters that have been likable throughout these 18 episodes. Then there are those which keep you guessing. As the story is progressing, we are being introduced to new characters, good and evil. All these characters have plenty of room for growth which keeps the viewers guessing. Some of these characters are perfect, others have their flaws. All of them have a definite screen presence.

The superb performances also play an important role in making these characters some of the best we have seen on Pakistani television. Although Ertugrul Ghazi is a Turkish series, it is not difficult for Pakistani viewers to relate to it. The reasons for that are many. The number one reason is that the series is essentially about the heroes of Islam therefore there is an obvious connection right there. Secondly, much of the family interactions and relationships we see in the series are more human than Turkish! This means that any human no matter what part of the globe they live in who shares the same values will easily be able to relate to them.

Those of the viewers who are watching the series will agree with me that the connection you feel to some of the characters in Ertugrul Ghazi is almost instant. Unlike many of our dramas, this one doesn’t have a single negative character which would even slightly be appealing in any way. The writer, therefore, has ensured that he draws a big line between good and evil. You only root for the characters working for the promotion of the right values and you want to see those plotting against them punished.

Here is a list of the best characters from the popular series Ertugrul Ghazi.

Ertugrul

There is a good reason why the main protagonist Ertugrul is on top of this list. He is a worthy hero who at times gets frustrated but never gives up. He is upright and never gets confused about his main objective in life. Unlike his brother, he is welcoming of all the decisions his father takes. Ertugrul is brave, fearless, just, wise, caring, and romantic. He is often misunderstood by his brother but he never holds that against him. Even with all the opposition and obstacles, he never loses sight of what really matters.

The most likable personality trait of Ertugrul personality is how he values relationships and keeps his word. He is not insecure like his brother. Even when his father prefers to send his brother to Al-Aziz, he accepts the decision whole-heartedly. Ertugrul is a hero with his heart and head at the right place, definitely someone who gives you so much to admire.

The actor Engin Altan Düzyatan has definitely done an outstanding job of portraying this amazing character on screen. This must have been a daunting task since the battle scenes required great skill and strength. Apart from that Engin Altan Düzyatan has ensured that he brings out the romantic and sensitive side of his character come alive on screen as his strength.

Best Characters From Ertugrul Ghazi Season 1

Suleyman Shah

Suleyman Shah is different from his son Ertugrul. He is definitely the wisest character in the play. He knows that his children and tribe look up to him therefore no matter how hurt he is with the betrayal of his brother, he always takes the higher road. You understand why Ertugrul has such strong values looking at how resilient Suleyman Shah is when faced with hardship. He never lets his anger gets the best of him.

Suleyman Shah sense that his younger son Gundogdu felt insecure and unworthy, instead of giving him a lecture, he decided to give him responsibilities which he would usually trust Ertugrul with. He made him feel secure and loved even though he was clearly disappointed in him. There are times when you wish that Suleyman Shah wouldn’t be so forgiving especially when it comes to his brother. But then that is what makes him a better person, someone you truly end up looking up to.

While watching the series Suleyman Shah continues to be the most impressive character. His wisdom often surprises you and you understand how he managed to rule for all these years while keeping his values intact. Serdar Gokhan has played this multilayered character in the best way possible. The soft and gentle expressions on his face always make you root for Suleyman Shah and side with him even when you feel that he is being a little too flexible.

Best Characters From Ertugrul Ghazi Season 1

Hayma Khatun

Hayma Khatun is a strong and balanced female character. She has a gentle side but at the same time, there have been so many times when she has been able to see through people the way her husband Suleman Shah couldn’t. A really wise ruler, courageous leader, a supporting wife with a vision, and a supportive mother, Hayma Khatun continues to be a powerful character in the series.

Just like the men in her tribe, she is shown taking up many different roles and excelling in all of them. Apart from all her other duties, she also manages the business run by women in the tribe. She also motivates her people and guides them in times when Suleman Shah is not well. Hülya Darcan has translated the strengths of her character so wonderfully on-screen.

Best Characters From Ertugrul Ghazi Season 1

Deli Dameer

Dameer’s role in the series has been vital right from the beginning. He is not just a goldsmith who makes the best weapons but most importantly, he is a loyal friend to Suleman Shah, a mentor to the alps and also someone who is there to guide Suleman Shah’s sons whenever they feel disillusioned. Dameer is also a really wise character. He is sensitive at the same time. His back story is being revealed as the story progresses. This back story definitely makes you fall in love with his character even more.

Dameer’s constant support for Suleman Shah is one of the best aspects of his personality and character. His relationship with his daughter shows what a caring and loving father he is. Dameer has a big heart and a human side which makes him even more appealing. He knows how to differentiate between friends and foes. With years of experience behind him, the advice he gives those he wants to guide sometimes prove to be game-changing.

Mehmet Çevik’s superb performance throughout definitely adds to the appeal of a character which is truly marvelous in more ways than one.

Best Characters From Ertugrul Ghazi Season 1

Ibn Arabi

Ibn Arabi is the kind of character which guides not only the characters in the series but in many ways the viewers too. The writer and the actor have done complete justice to this epic character which represents the actual personality of Ibn Arabi with utmost precision. Ibn Arabi’s character shows the actual role of religious figures and Sufis in society. His philosophies are both insightful and enlightening.

Ibn Arabi is someone who can literally look into people by just interacting with them. He has been there for those walking on the right path right from the beginning. When Shahabuddin went to him for advice, everything he said to him was such a good way of letting the audience know that leaving your worldly duties behind to walk on the path of Allah isn’t the best choice. Balancing the two is the best way to live your life.

Osman Soykut, the actor who is playing Ibn Arabi’s character in the drama, has an off-screen persona which is quite different from the way he translated his character on-screen. He looks perfect for the role and he has definitely succeeded in earning the kind of respect which this character truly deserves. Translating a historic character like this one must have been a huge responsibility and he has proven that he was most suitable for doing so.

Best Characters From Ertugrul Ghazi Season 1

Halima Sultan

Halima Sultan is even more likable because Esra Bilgiç’s on-screen persona is really appealing. Halima Sultan proved from the beginning that even in captivity she was not afraid of questioning her captors. She is brave as well as skilled in many ways. Without her character, we wouldn’t have seen the romantic side of Ertugrul. Even though she loves Ertugrul but she refuses to leave her brother and father to live a comfortable life with someone she loves. This goes to show that she is a really strong woman who is not afraid of fighting battles alongside the men.

Halima Sultan saved Ertugrul’s life and for now, it remains to be seen where her track will go from here. You root for Halima and Ertugrul and want to see them together.

Best Characters From Ertugrul Ghazi Season 1

Bamsi

Bamsi is one of Ertugrul’s three alps. Although all these three alps are extremely likable because they are fearless, experts at what they do and completely loyal to Ertugrul but Bamsi’s character is especially interesting since he adds a comic element to the series. He is the strongest of all the alps, he fights with not one but two swords. But, most of the time he does not even need a sword to kill his enemies but at the same time, he has a child-like personality. He loves to fight and when he finds no one else to fight with Dogan is the one who is always willing to help him practice his fighting skills. Their fights add light-heartedness to even the most serious scenes.

Nurettin Sönmez is so well-suited for Bamsi’s character. He brings out Bamsi’s strength and also his angry outbursts brilliantly on screen. He does especially well with highlighting Bamsi’s innocent side.

Best Characters From Ertugrul Ghazi Season 1

Shahabuddin

Shahabuddin joined the series after a few episodes had already gone on air and he is not faultless but there are many reasons why he is likable. He tries his best to guide his nephew and even after getting tired of doing so, he returns to his duties when Ibn Arabi asks him to do so. He makes a few mistakes because of which he is lured into a trap and he ends up paying a price for it. As the story progresses, he becomes more aware of the mistakes he has made and he does not bow down to all the pressure.

Even with his flaws, you find yourself rooting for Shahabuddin and hope that one day he will be out of prison. His track is interesting since it keeps you intrigued and wondering if Al-Aziz will ever see things for what they are. Gökhan Atalay owns these characters completely. Most of the viewers won’t even recognize him if they see him in real life, that is how well he has changed his appearance for looking suitable for the role.

Best Characters From Ertugrul Ghazi Season 1

Shehzade Nauman

Shehzade Nauman did not get a lot of screen time but he has shown many of his talents in these past few episodes. He is someone who is upright and even though he has ruled for so long, he is really down-to-earth. Even though he has been struggling for years but he does not believe in giving up. He is also someone who has always been so grateful to the Kayi tribe for giving them protection but he decides to carry on his mission. He is also brave, someone who knows how to protect his family.

Best Characters From Ertugrul Ghazi Season 1

Aykiz

Aykis is another positive and strong character in the drama. She is the only one among the leading women from the Kayi tribe, other than Hyma Khatun, who is truly loyal. She welcomed Halima Khatun when she came to the tribe. She loves Turgut and is not afraid to be with someone who is constantly under threat. Her memories help Turgut stay strong while in captivity. Aykis also has a great deal of respect for Ertugrul and is one of the few people who want to see Ertugrul and Halima Sultan together. She also has a playful and fun side. Her character has tons of potential.

Best Celebrity Insta Accounts

Gone are the days when you needed hard work and actual talent and loads of luck to make it and survive in the entertainment industry if you had no contacts or enough money but not anymore. In today’s world internet is the only power we bow to, it is the only language we speak and understand these days. We have seen internet make chai walas celebrities we have also seen internet turn Patari’s CEO’s stardom to dust. The point being your social media presence is everything these days.

Having a social media presence is as important for celebrities these days as having an agent once was. Though anyone with a fair amount of followers can call themselves a celebrity these days and that paves way for mediocrity to be bred but it has also opened a gateway to an industry of dreams that once seemed far away. Just take that phone of yours make a video, write a script, make a web series, write a book, make a blog and gain audience and you will make it, it is not as painstakingly arduous as it once was. The ball is now in the common man’s court make your move.

As it is with power that comes huge responsibility so is the case with stardom, the more influence you have over people the more you need to be careful as to how you use that influence. That being said today we talk about some of the Pakistani celebrity Instagram accounts that I find super interesting and you should definitely follow them if you don’t already.

8: Sheheryar Munawar

https://www.instagram.com/p/Bh_CPomn5Pm/?taken-by=sheheryarmunawar

I have always liked Sheheryar apart from the fact he is an amazing actor and is super hot he also has a very interesting Instagram presence or I should say social media presence. I have never seen him get involved in controversies, he keeps his political views to himself which is a rare spectacle these days. My favorite Sheheryar is vacation Sheheryar, when this dude is on his vacations it is the best time for his Instagram, amazing pictures with hilarious captions. The world could be falling and this dude would be talking about how focus is needed to squeeze a lemon. Basically if you follow him he will always put a smile on your face always.

7: Ahmad Ali Butt

Everyone knows Ahmad is a funny guy but more than that he is a selfie guy, a selfie here a selfie there, a selfie with Karachi Kings a selfie with team JPNA 2 basically if Ahmad is there a selfie can’t be far behind. Once in a while uses his influence to voice his opinions as well but mostly maintains a light mood hilarious persona. A random clip of him dancing can help forget for a nano-second that you were having a bad day I believe that accounts for something.

6: Saba Qamar

https://www.instagram.com/p/Bh01HdDnXTD/?taken-by=sabaqamarzaman

She is talented she is gorgeous and she is strong headed. From her beautiful face that you get to see if you follow her to her strong opinions on gender equality this woman earns her followers. Also she has a gorgeous cat so all the cat people go show that cat some love. Once in while she shares her family moments as well which are precious. She can be so sassy at times and I love that also did I mention the cat? So yeah cat, opinions and beauty go hit that follow button already.

5: Osman Khalid Butt

https://www.instagram.com/p/BhW9hxyjr3x/?taken-by=aclockworkobi

Gorgeous, sassy and opinionated no I am not describing a diva it’s good ol’ OKB we are talking about tho he is not less than any diva. Personally not a huge fan of his acting but a huge fan of his Instagram. Let controversy come this man is never quiet, a strong supporter of women empowerment and very vocal about his other political views as well. Hilarious, classy and knows how the social media game works. Also just look at his username who doesn’t love A CLOCKWORK ORANGE!

4: Armeena Khan

https://www.instagram.com/p/Bh3a7HoHo1K/?taken-by=armeenakhanofficial

Armeena is more of a kabhi neem neem kabhi shahad shahad deal. There are days when she is as wise as an old oak tree who can talk and there are days when she is downright teen queen of only seventeen either way qualifies for interesting social media presence. Vocal but a little too vocal sometimes but her Instagram is mostly sunny, good vibes and positivity all the way, 10/10 will recommend.

3: Sanam Saeed

https://www.instagram.com/p/Bg02oTLlO2g/?taken-by=sanammody

Sanam is downright my favorite woman in our entertainment industry right now, talented, strong and beautiful. Now adays her Instagram is mostly about Cake promotions and damn it she looks breathtakingly gorgeous at every event. Shares pictures of things she finds interesting be it a vintage store in London or Karachi’s night view from the sky, one of the very few aesthetically pleasing accounts.

2: Ali Kazmi

https://www.instagram.com/p/BgkVWHPFtEE/?taken-by=thealikazmi

Ali Kazmi in the houseeeee guyssss. One of my only three favorite Instagramers first one being Tom Hardy of course and the second one you will find out shortly. Ali is a family guy I mean just look at the man’s dp. He is vocal and he captures the moment. One of the very few celebrities who step out of their own stardom and look around and capture whatever looks beautiful. The kinda soul that finds time to appreciate the moon and the sealing of a museum. If that doesn’t work for you he just happens to be very hot as well, go follow.

1: Adeel Hussain

https://www.instagram.com/p/BhQhFfKFc2V/?taken-by=vizorkaneda

Adeel Hussain ladies and germs, the man, the myth. It is like that famous quote goes I too fall in love with people who show me a little bit of their soul. In this world so perfectly guarded I appreciate rawness. Following Adeel feels like following any other friend, he shares his pictures from his college days to his childhood to his artwork from his teenage years WHO DOES THAT! Captures so many beautiful things, random people, random places and even shows the other side of the story by capturing his other colleagues from entertainment industry in the light he himself sees them. Such a a kindled spirit with the soul of a true artist. Don’t miss out on this dude’s insta folks.

That sums up my list which is totally based on my preferences, if you have your own list of favorite celebrity Instagram accounts do share it with me I don’t want to miss out on any cool insta accounts.

Best Bridal Looks From Bridal Couture Week 2021

0

The 18th edition of Bridal Couture Week was extravagantly held last week despite COVID restrictions. Bridal Couture Week is the biggest bridal event held in Pakistan which gives the designers a chance to showcase their talent on a grand scale. The top models of the country are picked to walk on the ramp and since the leading television channel of the country HUM is also one of the main sponsors and organizers, the actors are also often seen on the ramp. Just like every other year, most of the designers chose these actors to be the showstoppers. Since actors are more popular among the masses therefore they are always preferred as show stoppers even though most often they cannot carry the heavy outfits the way models who regularly walk on the ramp do. Quite interestingly, even though these actors were the show stoppers this year, the dresses they wore were some of the most ill-fitted and horrendously designed ones, which was definitely really odd. There were of course those show stoppers as well who were seen carrying some of the most beautiful Bridal Looks at Bridal Couture Week 2021. However, it can safely be stated that we expected much better from a bridal week of this magnitude.

Here are the best bridal looks from Bridal Couture Week 2021.

Mawra Hocane Royal Bridal Look For TABYA

Mawra Hocane looked stunning in a traditional handcrafted bridal outfit by the designer Tabya. This outfit was from her collection titled “Khaas Mahal” and was one of the many gorgeous pieces from this collection. This was the most beautiful traditional bridal collection at the event. Mawra’s make-up and accessories made this look flawless. Unlike many other actresses who walked on the ramp, Mawra carried this look with elegance, grace, and utmost confidence. The designer did an outstanding job of using dabka work and showed that it was still as relevant today as ever.

Sunita Marshall In “Parihaan”

Sunita Marshall proved that she is the queen of the ramp by sporting a bridal look which would be perfect for all those real-life brides who want to opt for the classic heavy bridal look. Sunita Marshall walked on the ramp with utmost confidence and looked stunning in this look. Everything from the designer wear to her jewelry and make-up was perfect for this look. This was the only impressive look from Kashees collection which stood out. We are wondering why Sunita Marshall was not chosen as the showstopper by the designer. Oddly enough the designer did not even share Sunita Marshall’s picture on his page!

Yumna Zaidi In Elegantly Designed Bridal Wear

Yumna Zaidi is the most loved Pakistani actress who is rarely seen on a ramp yet she carried off this regal and graceful bridal outfit by Umsha’s collection “Zeenat” so elegantly. This was another one of those bridal looks which were perfect in every way. This look would be ideal for valima brides or all those brides who do not want to wear a dark color on their big day but want a look fit for a bride. The detailed sequins work on this dress makes it the most well-crafted bridal outfit from this collection.

Sunita Marshal was not seen in just one but many stunning bridal looks at the couture week. This exquisite coral bridal outfit paired with the most stunning emeralds was the best one since it was a different colored piece intricately designed and the fabric was gorgeous. The designer added a modern twist by giving it cold shoulder sleeves and keeping the blouse relatively shorter. The lehnga was beautifully designed and stitched as well.

Sonya Hussyn In “Rashk-e-Qamar”

Zaha Couture is a leading designer brand owned by the Khadija Shah whose brand Elan is already considered one of the best in the country. Sonya Hussyn was another one of those few actresses at the Bridal Couture Week this year who did not only look stunning on the ramp but she also carried a heavy outfit and look elegantly. The kundun jewelry and the stunning make-up made this look complete. This was another traditional wedding outfit with detailed work and design. The bridal grandiose of this entire look makes it perfect for this list.

Stylish and Unique Bridal Dresses

While most designers did not experiment with style and designing a great deal, Uzma Babar definitely set the bar high with these unique bridal dresses which are perfect for all those modern brides who do not want to sport the lehnga look on their big day. The attention to detail and the designs are stunning. We also love the choice of colors since all of them have a certain degree of shimmer to them which makes them stand out even though they are pastel colors. The overall looks of the models sporting these dresses were perfect for giving inspiration to all those women who want to keep their bridal look chic and classy.

Best and Worst Makeovers of Actors!

0

Makeovers are very important for any actor or actress. They need to keep experimenting with their look to look fresh on screen as people get tired of seeing them in the same look over and over again. Many actors have attempted to change their appearance by changing their hairstyle, hair color, makeup and even weight if the script demands it. The change has suited many people as they are able to carry it but it has even turned into a disaster at times.

Here is a list of people who have been able to look good with the change:

syra

First in my list is Syra Yousuf. She is the popular actress of shows like Mera Naseeb and the recently ended Tanhaiyaan- Naye Silsilay. She has experimented with her hair style and now can been seen sporting short hair and I must say it suits her immensely. The short hairdo is all the rage nowadays but few people are able to carry it. Syra has the most innocent and charming face and this haircut makes her look even younger. (She already looks so young!)

Amina sheikh

Second in my list would be Amna Sheikh. The popular actress who is seen in many hit shows like Main Abdul Qadir Hoon, Daam and Maat as is currently seen in the show, Mirat Ul Uroos. She was also seen with a new hairstyle which suited her a lot. The bangs and the change in her hair color did wonders to her face and her face looked fresher on screen. The bangs suit her a lot because she has a wide forehead and the bangs complement it as they hide it completely.

nadia khan

The third in my list would be Nadia Khan, the actor and the long time morning host. She is back with a bang this year as is seen as a host on Geo TV on weekends. She is now seen sporting a shorter hairstyle which suits her immensely. She has just the right face cut to carry off this hairstyle and she looks even younger now. Everyone has appreciated her new hairstyle so far.

Sarwat Gillani

The fourth in my list is Sarwat Gilani. She is seen in shows like Malaal, Tishnagi and Mata e Jaan and is currently seen in the show Dil e Muzter. I always found her curly looks to be pretty but I was tired of seeing in the same curly hair look. She is now seen in straight hair and usually with plaited hair which suits her a lot. Her straight hair look in Mere Dard Ko Zuban Mile and Mata e Jaan suited her a lot. Her face is petite and the straight hair adds a new dimension to her face. I would love to see her with fringes sometime as I personally think it will suit her a lot. We have already seen her with bangs which complemented her face.

 Saba hameed

The fifth person in my list is Saba Hameed. Saba is seen in shows like Aik Tamanna Lahasil Si, Aks and The Baraat Series. I always thought she needed a makeover as she sported the same look in almost all her serials. But her new look in her currently airing show Dil e Muzter changed my opinion. She has been given a complete makeover which is suiting her a lot. The new hairstyle and cut has decreased at least 10 years from her age. The new hairstyle with the right amount of makeup is making her look extremely young and fresh.

Faisal qureshi

The sixth person in my list would be Faisal Qureshi. Faisal Qureshi is seen in hit shows like Meri Zaat Zara e Benishaan, Qaid e Tanhai and Mere Pehla Pyar. Faisal Qureshi is one actor who keeps on experimenting with his look. He changes his appearance according to what the script demands. He was seen in three completely different looks in his show Meri Unsuni Kahani. I still wonder how he managed to change his weight for each look! He is one dedicated actor.

Here are a few people who looked disastrous with the changes:

sanam baloch

Sanam Baloch who was seen in shows like Dastaan, Akhbari Asghari and Dur e Shahwar would be the first person in my list. Sanam’s hairstyle in her show Kuch Pyaar Ka Pagal Pan Bhi Tha was the worst hairstyle ever! Her beautiful hair was plaited completely into small plaits. It made me wonder how long it must have taken the hairstylist to make so many plaits as Sanam’s hair are pretty long and thick. She even sported fringes in Akhbari Asghari which did suit her but I personally like her more in bangs with her long straight hair. If she really wants to change her hairstyle, she can opt for curls in any of her upcoming serials.

Ayesha Khan

The second in my list is Ayesha Khan. She was seen in serials like Vasl, Kaafir and Maney Na Yeh Dil. Her look in Kaafir did not suit her at all. Her hair color made me cringe and even her clothes in the initial episodes were not suiting her. I would really like to see her in curls in future.

mOHIB

The third actor in my list would be Mohib Mirza. He was seen in shows like Shehr e Zaat and Mere Dard Ko Zuba Mile and is currently seen in Kaash Aisa Ho. His hairstyle in his new show Kaash Aisa Ho is not suiting him at all. When I saw the promo of the show, the first thing which I noticed was his long straightened hair. He has been given this look so that he would look more like the artist he is shown in the serial which is acceptable, but I still do not approve of his hairstyle. Well, this is my personal preference!

Few actors are seen experimenting with their look in fear of being criticized, but it is always pleasant to see actors in a new look from time to time.

Mariam Shafiq.

Best Ads of the Recent Years!

Every now and then an advert comes on that you just can’t get out of your mind. The reason for it can be the heart-touching message, the catchy background song or maybe the actors/models starring in it.

Every year, companies spend millions of dollars for just a few seconds of airtime in hopes of getting consumers attention—and then, maybe, their money. Here are some of the commercials that came out in the recent years that managed to capture our attention:

Shan Foods

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jXMsSm3liQI

The message that this commercial tries to deliver is just beautiful and quite truthful. When someone is living in a foreign country – like the Chinese couple in this ad- it is hard to blend in because of the racial, cultural, and traditional differences. However, food is definitely an incredible ingredient to bond over. It is human nature to crave interaction, intimacy, friendship – as depicted by the Chinese wife- and she needs some common ground to be able to bond with her neighbours and get accepted into the new community she became a part of. In short, food acts an an icebreaker of sorts here! Also, doesn’t the Chinese actress look really cute in a dupatta?

Lemon Max Bar

The reason for the pick being – Biryani…and Sheharyar. Sheharyar Munawaar does an amazing job in this ad. The script too is great and brings a smile on the audience’s face (the first time they watch it at least). This ‘Lemon Max Bar’ commercial came out very recently and has managed to win people’s hearts if social media statistics are anything to go by. The couple sneaking food to enjoy their ‘date’ is just adorable. I love the fact that this advertisement showed our Eastern culture too, where parents are given utmost respect and have the most authority. The son and daughter-in-law don’t want to upset the mother by making her feel that home-made food isn’t much appreciated by her children or that they prefer to dine alone. These little acts of kindness capture people’s heart. The best part about the commercial is the end when the mother basically tells the couple that she is aware of their “biryani parties”. All in all, biryani + cute couple gets an A+ for the adorableness. It also imparts a very important lesson : if you ever sneak in Biryani to your house and want no one to call out for a share, eat it quietly and erase the evidence by the use of the magic dishwash bar- Lemon Max Bar!

Ariel

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sS0ftVwHnwI&t=38s

Straight up one of the best commercials to be ever made. This ad focuses on one of the biggest problems of our society; assuming before learning the facts, judging before understanding, hurting before feeling and speaking before thinking. We never know what someone is going through because we are not in their shoes. We tend to judge people on their outer appearances and behaviors without being aware of their inner struggles and problems; without being aware of their story. Exactly the same is depicted in this commercial when our girl is asked to retrieve some papers from the director of the company she works for by her boss. She portrays our general society’s behaviour as she takes in the house and comments that she (director) must be doing so well for being way too nice to the boss. Her impression is proven wrong when the mother of the director defends her daughter by telling her that she’s a very hard working girl who supports her disabled mother. This advertisement clearly says not to judge a book by its cover and we love it.

Dettol

Oh God, the sass! The sassy kids and the super catchy ‘dettol hath dho’ song is what makes this commercial special. Yes, having to listen to this song again and again can be annoying but look at the positive message it is delivering. It is a norm in our society to not say anything to what people older than you tell you and while that is really a commendable and respectable quality in an individual, our children need to be taught how to disagree with someone older than you without being disrespectful. The way children in this commercial spread the message of cleanliness to not only the elders but their peers is amazing! And the song replaying in your head definitely helps Dettol in their sales when you visit a grocery store!

Tapal

What do all women want? A loving and caring husband who loves tea like you, yet doesn’t ask you to make tea for him, cup after cup. In the span of 1 minute, Sanam Saeed and Adeel Hussain show you what an ideal family looks like. This ad triggers couple intimacy by encouraging men to play a role in developing their relationship with their wives by performing small acts such as making tea for the missus to strengthen their bond. Making tea is just an example as after making tea, Adeel goes to look after their on-screen, unseen child that tries to call his/her parents by crying to its fullest level. The smile on Sanam’s face as she witnesses this is just breathtaking. Take notes, hubbies! Learn how to share responsibilities with your spouse as the on-screen couple did in the ad!

Pepsi

Pepsi Liter of Light is Pepsi’s new international campaign that gives light using electricity by reusing cheap plastic bottles. The campaign is about providing light to remote and dark areas where there is little or no electricity. The story that is portrayed in this heart touching ad is of a little girl who doesn’t want her father to get lost in the darkness of the forest he has to cross everyday to get back to the little angel. The girl tries to illuminate the dark pathway by various techniques that her little mind comes up with but doesn’t find any success until people from Pepsi approach her with the litter of light bottles. The smile that graces her face is enough to even thaw a frozen heart. The magical vocals of Abida Parveen and Atif Aslam further make you fall in love with the advertisement. This ad features Naumaan Ijaz and Mansha Pasha along with an adorable little girl who managed to steal the hearts of every Pakistani by her charismatic innocence.

Jazz

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WI3jaeTm8jU

Indian cricket fans had been teasing the Pakistan cricket team and its fans on the basis of the ‘Mauka Mauka’ video ahead of every match between the arch-rivals since the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015. After Pakistan thrashed an off-colour India by 180 runs to lift the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 title at the jam-packed Kennington Oval, Pakistani cricketers gave  their fans a chance to have a go at the Indians. As a result, Jazz’s commercial, more commonly known as “No Issue, Lelo Tissue” was born. This advertisement resonated with the excited nation after their well awaited victory very well and made this ad one of the most viral ads on social media by making it one of the most shared commercials on facebook. #NoIssueLeloTissue trended on twitter the day Pakistan won the match and it made us smile whenever we visited the site.

Zameen.com

Few commercials have touched my heart as much as this one. This Fawad Khan starrer advertisement is a reminder to not forget your roots no matter what. Our parents provide us with their level best in the sectors of education, security, health and any other of our needs. Thanks to all of their love, care and support when we manage to become independent and able enough to survive on our own, we should not forget them. Monetary help is one thing but physical care and presence are very vital too. Infact, these are what our parents crave the most. This commercial portrays exactly this notion in a brilliant and heart-warming way. When Yusuf (Fawad Khan) ends the call of his family in favour of some other important call, our heart breaks. Only later to be mended when we find out that he was doing it all to give his family the gift of a new home and visiting them after a period of 5 years.

Surf Excel

Surf Excel is known to make really good, thought provoking, meaningful commercials. Their commercial for Ramadan 2017 didn’t disappoint either. The message was clear : spread kindness and encourage your children to do so too. Children are innocent beings with hearts pure as gold. The goodness in their hearts is either increased by the society they live in or dimmed by their environment. Sometimes we stop stop them from doing a good deed for our own convenience. This advertisement teaches us the opposite. When the boy returns after performing a good deed-waking up the hearing impaired uncle- he is covered in dirt and his white attire is turned to brown. The mom doesn’t discourage him from the act of kindness that he just performed on account of the mess he made, rather supports his decision and asks him to invite that uncle for iftaar!

Wall’s

There were tears in my eyes the first time I watched this advertisement. I believe most of us can relate to this commercial; whether to the mother’s role or the children’s. Social media has stolen our life, our family, our relations from us. We have become closer to the people far from us and far from the people in our vacinity. These days, appearances are everything.People are more concerned with proving to the rest of the world that they’re having the time of their lives than actually enjoying themselves. We are more concerned with what the world will think of the things we post than whether we personally like it or not. The same happens in this heart wrenching ad when a mother resorts to social media to interact with her kids because they no longer have time to have a ‘live conversation’ with her.

He got noticed and he looked good. Urwa Hocane wore a royal blue angrakha that many could think looks a bit like shaadi wear. But Urwa is a new mom and she is still on her fitness journey thus she chose what she will feel comfortable in. They also revealed Baby Aara’s face and this family looked gorgeous.

Sami Khan

Best & Worst Dressed Pakistani Celebrities At Hum Awards 2024

Sami Khan went out of his comfort zone this time. He chose to wear all black but not a simple suit. A black suit is what generally all men opt for and it becomes difficult to tell them apart sometimes. Sami chose to wear a coat style achkin paired with tailored slacks. With the visuals that have come out, the fit may have been a bit better but he was definitely one of the best dressed celebrities at this Hum Awards.

Javed Sheikh

Best & Worst Dressed Pakistani Celebrities At Hum Awards 2024

Javed Sheikh is a veteran of Pakistani entertainment industry. He has always been known for wearing the best outfits, something that his brother-in-law and closest friend Behroze Sabzwari always talks about and he once again showed that he is among the most dapper men of tgis industry even if you gather all the nation’s heartthrobs under one roof.

Bushra Ansari

Bushra Ansari loves to dress up and she always says that she wears what she likes. People have judged her style sense in the past but she never gets bothered and does her thing. Ramsha Khan-Saree Look

Best & Worst Dressed Pakistani Celebrities At Hum Awards 2024

Ramsha Khan chose to wear a silver saaree for one of her looks on stage and she looked fabulous. With no jewellery and glamorous hair and makeup, Ramsha is definitely winning in this one. Her other look was not up to par but this one manages to get an applause.

Though Hum Awards 2024 did not see many disasters fashion-wise, some still managed to land on the Worst Dressed List.

Hiba Bukhari

Best & Worst Dressed Pakistani Celebrities At Hum Awards 2024

Hiba Bukhari is expecting and it is her choice to wear what she wants. So, after getting this out of the way, Hiba is also one of the biggest stars in the country and her stylist did her dirty. She was wearing a gown with a middle cut-out which obviously looked ill-fitted as Hiba is expecting. It also looked bunched up from back and side and the fitting as well as the colour did nothing for Hiba. She is gorgeous and she has that glow about her right now. A star as big as Hiba should have been given better options to choose from especially while she made such a big announcement.

Mamya Shajaffar

Best & Worst Dressed Pakistani Celebrities At Hum Awards 2024

Mamya Shajaffar is a new entrant in the industry and she is already making waves. She is not just beautiful but also confident. She can probably make a burlap sack work but this gown is doing nothing for her. It just looked incomplete and the colour is not complimenting her either.

Ramsha Khan

Best & Worst Dressed Pakistani Celebrities At Hum Awards 2024

Ramsha won with the saaree but this gown did not do much for her. It just looked like something pulled off a rack and a lot too costume-like and not very red-carpet worthy.

Mawra Hocane

Best & Worst Dressed Pakistani Celebrities At Hum Awards 2024

Mawra Hocane took home the biggest trophy of the night but she did not do much for her look at Hum Awards. In a white outfit with hair and makeup that did not suit her at all, Mawra unfortunately landed on the worst dressed list. She is a beautiful woman and she looks way better without makeup than she did in this full glam.

Besharam Last Episode Review – Definitely a Unique Love Story! <3

Ohkay so, tonight our favorite drama came to an end & I am really happy with the overall journey of Besharam. It is actually quite good to know that we still have such drama makers who believe in keeping things short & to the point. Isn’t is refreshing to see such an approach of the drama-makers who when feel that they have covered everything, they decide to end the drama at the right time despite all the ratings that they are getting? I will commend ARY Digital for changing how things used to work when it came to their dramas because the unnecessary dragging ruined a lot of good dramas so this thing has definitely improved & may I add, for the better definitely. This drama actually conveyed everything & I guess it was for the first time in years when I felt that the last episode was slow because they didn’t have so much left to be wrapped up & chipped in the very last episode. They gave this drama a complete ending by revolving the last episode around the main characters only, which is a bonus!

I actually awed at the conversation Sara had with Mishi. It was like they saved the best for the last because all the viewers were waiting to see Sara’s change of heart & she proved it that it was her children who taught her the importance of relationships & how one should value them. I loved how the writer subtly touched on the fact that the parents can be wrong too & when they realize it, they can be dignified enough to gracefully accept their mistakes. The writer also hinted a lot on the fact that the children do learn from their parents mistakes, that is why while Sara was the one who miserably failed at 3 marriages & some relationships, all her kids stayed true to their commitment to their partners. Even though Sofia & Wahab were poles apart, Sofia ended up accepting Wahab with all his flaws & shortcomings, which is actually a very sweet message that the writer put forward. Wahab definitely didn’t fit the bill of an ideal husband personality wise, but Sofia was the center of his universe & he loved his wife to bits, which is why Sofia also chose to stay with him. Similarly, despite knowing that Haider might not be able to afford the lifestyle that Mishi was used to, Mishi chose to stay with him to prove to herself, to her mother & the entire world that despite being a model, she can make her marriage work. Then came Manan, who without even bothering about his mother’s objection & disapproval, chose Humna & made sure to have everyone accept her. This was definitely the best message that the writer saved for the last which once again reinforced the importance of valuing your relationships, against all the odds. It also reinforced the fact that one should have a confidence in oneself because then everything starts falling into its right place!

Finally, Mishi got to share the moment with her mother that she waited for all her life. It was actually quite beautiful how this time around, it was Sara who was reminding Mishi about Haider & everything that he has done for her. Sara was right, she was a depressed soul because she chose such a fate for herself thinking that she will be able to survive but it was actually quite heart-warming to see her warning her daughter Mishi using her experiences as an example, to stop her from committing such a mistake that Sara herself committed when she was young & still hopeful that she will find that someone special. Sara could see that Haider was Mishi’s someone special & he was her Mr. Right, that is why she stopped Mishi from ruining something so beautiful!

Finally, Haider learned the truth about Asfand Sultan. Asfand himself had to admit that his optimism, his drive to bring a change didn’t do any good to him & his party, that is why he tweaked with his ideology a little & voila, there he was, a very successful & powerful politician. Asfand thought he will keep on manipulating Haider by using money as a bait but little did he know that the model he was looking down upon had completely won Haider over. Being a very judgmental outsider, Asfand actually underestimated the strength of Mishi & Haider’s relationship, but Haider didn’t take much time in letting Asfand know how wrong he was & what his wife meant to him. Haider finally left Asfand’s party with a promise that he won’t allow the people of his locality to commit a mistake that Haider did by trusting a corrupt politician like Asfand Sultan.

Mishi forcefully accepted the modelling offer & Haider decided to bring her back in his life. Mishi realized that she couldn’t go back to her old life & Haider realized that he was nothing without Mishi & they both had a happy ending!

Overall, the last episode was great but I wish that in stead of leaving it on the viewer’s imagination, they had covered a little bit about the professional lives of Mishi & Haider after they got back togther, because even though it is obvious that they both will make a living for themselves, it would’ve still been nice to see something at least. Also, I wish they had also showed that Wahab Sunyara realized his mistake & chose to return the shop to Haider & Sikandar because now he had no reason to hold a grudge against Haider. Well well well, I am actually falling short of the words of praises for the entire team of Besharam. When I decided to review it, I had no idea what I was getting into & I had no idea that it will end up becoming one of my favorite dramas of all times. Besharam has become one such drama that I actually find myself recommending to all those who ask me which drama they should watch next because it is that good. I will commend Sarwat Nazir for coming up with such a unique yet simple plot which she made sure to fill with positive messages without making it look preachy. In an era where we only get star-studded disasters with no story-line, zero entertainment value & such dramas which are aired only to generate the revenue, Besharam was a breath of fresh air, it actually was because of being absolutely simple yet so different.

The writer Sarwat Nazeer told everyone that showing a marital relationship in a drama does not mean that all the negatives of that relationship have to be highlighted. We saw a daughter in law (Mishi), a sister in law (Humna) & a mother in law (Khadija) who actually changed the perspective of the viewers & forced them to see things differently. Sarwat Nazeer also showed how being emotionally strong, level headed & independent doesn’t mean that one should not & can not budge or compromise for the sake of their spouses. The entire journey of Mishi & Haider revolved around trust, love & respect & most importantly, some space & time that they both gave each other to understand each other over the period of time & when they did, they couldn’t live without each other, which is actually a rarity in our dramas. How often do we get to see such husbands who trust their wives blindly while they themselves are learning more & more about them? How often do we get to see such wives who happily sacrifice everything for their husbands because they want to nurture & strengthen their relationship? It is actually quite amusing that we as viewers alwayssss were scared that something bad will happen. We as viewers were always waiting for a storm to take over Mishi & Haider’s lives because sadly, our drama writers have gotten us used to the idea of ‘sazishi’ & ‘negativity ridden’ dramas so much, due to which we were unable to grasp that we were actually getting to see a drama which had honest & straight forward characters & we were getting to see a drama where things got sorted before turning into ugly misunderstandings! Besharam always took the viewers by surprise because they got to see such characters who actually ‘talked’ to each other like normal people do, they actually got see a couple doing all those things that normal couples do, like discuss the happenings of an entire day, share a cup of coffee, motivate each other & most importantly, empower each other! I loved loved loved how the writer gave us such a beautiful & unique love story which will be remembered for a long long time.

I will thank the director for directing such a brilliant script beautifully. This drama didn’t have any loopholes in terms of direction & everything was conveyed brilliantly. The OST was beautiful & what made it even better was the appropriate usage of it to add more depth to the situations. All the actors, irrespective of the coverage their characters got did a wonderful wonderful job. I thank the writer for introducing us to Wahab Sunyara, where just his presence in the frame made things light-hearted. Malik Raza elevated the level of Wahab Sunyara & I am sure no one else could’ve portrayed this character with such flawlessness like he did & undoubtedly Malik Raza made Wahab Sunyara a memorable character too! I absolutely enjoyed watching Mehmood Akhtar on screen, he was brilliant as a selfish Uncle who also had some niceness in him & occasionally felt bad for his late brother’s family. Atiqa Odho, Fia, Sundus Tariq, Shahista Jabeen, Farah Nadeem, Ghana Ali, each & every actor did a wonderful job & gave their best shot. I must say, I love the fact that the writer didn’t make all the characters completely black & white because of which they seemed quite relateable & admirable as well. I will also thank the writer for the subtle humor which she added in the drama through the dialogues, which actually made Besharam a complete package which had some filminess, some drama, some family politics, some heart-warming moments, a lot of emotional moments & a comic relief as well. Now, talking about the Stars of the show; Saba Qamar & Zahid Ahmed, I am sure if it wasn’t for them, Mishi & Haider might not have made a place in our hearts. Both Saba & Zahid are the reason why the interest of the viewers never faltered in this drama & it was their acting & their beautiful chemistry on-screen which actually forced the viewers to tune to this drama every single week. It is amazing that the credit for the success of this drama goes to both Saba Qamar & Zahid Ahmed because it was their joint effort & both of them gave a 100% in their performances. Thank you so so so so much Team Besharam for giving us such a beautiful drama, sadly our Tuesdays won’t be the same anymore but all good things come to an end. Thank you so much once again.

I thank all my wonderful Readers ‘Jaan’ for keeping the discussions so happening, alive & fun under Besharam’s reviews. You guys made it worthwhile & enjoyable. Please share your final thoughts about the beautiful journey that we all experienced named Besharam!

Keep Supporting,
Cheers,
Zahra Mirza.

Besharam Episode 23 Review – Putting Things Into Perspective!

Ohkay so, honestly speaking, I think it is quite interesting that Mishi & Haider as a couple have hit the rock bottom because it makes things real. As we know that every relationship goes through some sort of trials & turbulence in order to last longer & strengthen, that is why after watching tonight’s episode, despite feeling bad, I was kind of excited to see how Mishi & especially Haider will deal with this messy situation & come out of it. I think the entire responsibility now lies on Haider to make things right as he is solely responsible for causing heartache to his wife.

I think the writer or may be the director at this point have started to leave things on the viewer’s imagination a bit more because where there are a few things that need coverage, I feel the team doesn’t put much effort into conveying it. Even though it was a pleasant surprise to see Mishi talking to Hamna about Manan with an approval from her side, I think the director should have established the fact that what made Mishi change her mind? If they had shown that Mishi eavesdropped on the conversation that Manan & Hamna had, I guess that would have sufficed, or may be if they had omitted Mishi’s disapproval in the first place, things wouldn’t have seem so out of the blue at this stage. Similarly, in the very next scene, we got to know that it was Sara who initiated this proposal of Hamna for Manan, so I was once again left wondering as to what made Sara change her mind too? Throughout the journey of this drama, I have always appreciated the precise approach of the director but I feel few things were taken a bit too casually by him, which actually needed some coverage at least. Anyways, Hamna & Manan got engaged & things sailed smoothly for both of them. I don’t know why but I like watching both of them together, so I hope they do give us some nice moments of Manan & Hamna as well.

So, Haider ended up following the orders of Asfand & despite knowing that Mishi will not appreciate any of that, Haider ended up spilling the beans. Mishi definitely didn’t have any issues with what Haider told to the media about CM hitting on her, but what pinched her the most was the fact that Haider endorsed the notion that Mishi was an indecent model who was on a low level of morals, but it was only because of Haider’s perseverance that she changed. I think it was absolutely wrong of Haider to say that because it was like he was taking the entire credit for something that he was not responsible for in the first place. Mishi on her own, despite being a model was a very different person with very different agendas in life. Mishi was a part of the glamour world but she never gave it so much of importance because of which she left it the day Haider told her to & her morals & ethics didn’t allow her to fall into a deep pit of this glamour world too. Just one statement of Haider literally ruined all the efforts that Mishi had made till date to adjust in his lifestyle & he literally took everything away from Mishi citing politics as an excuse.

I think Haider needs to remind himself that the day he got married to Mishi was the day when Asfand fired him & told him that he won’t be needing him anymore, so now what has changed that Asfand is being a bit too generous when it comes to Haider? I think even though Haider feels it is because of his fearlessness & ruthless approach in politics that Asfand needs him, he is missing the point that he is getting all these favors by Asfand because of Mishi only. Asfand knew that CM’s proposal to Mishi was the best way to malign his image & probably defeat his party in the elections, that is why he started taking Haider in confidence, started giving him unnecessary favors & the moment he learned that he has Haider wrapped around his finger, he started coaxing his agenda to make Haider spill the beans & sadly, Haider obliged. I wish Haider does some reflection on himself & on Asfand too, that is when he will realize that it is only because of Mishi that Asfand has given him so much of power & money & without Mishi’s presence in his life, Haider would have never meant anything to a conniving politician like Asfand Sultan.

I am totally with Mishi on this, she has literally changed her entire life for Haider, she has given up on so much & has turned down so many opportunities, because she respected the promise she made to Haider & I think more than Haider she has fulfilled her duties & has put in more efforts to make this marriage work. Mishi had all the right to walk out on Haider because there was only one thing that Mishi demanded from Haider & it was respect but sadly, Haider went blind in his urge to become a politician that he literally destroyed their relationship & betrayed Mishi’s trust. What was even more sad was that Haider was not apologetic for his mistake & he was trying to cover it up & justify it by saying he had no other option & it didn’t mean anything. I think the choice that Mishi has put in front of Haider is completely justified. Haider needs to leave Asfand’s party because it isn’t bringing any good to him, in fact it is ruining the relationships that he has held closer to his heart all his life.

I must say, I loved Khadija’s stance in this episode. ‘Mwashray ko badalnay nikla tha, khud badalta ja raha hai’, how often do we see such mothers in our dramas who blame their sons for their mistakes? It would have been so easier for Khadija to put the entire blame on Mishi saying that she must have forced Haider to earn such a lifestyle but no, she has spent enough time with Mishi to know that she is not materialistic & her priorities in life are simple & different. Khadija earned my respect even more when she fought with Haider for the sake of Mishi, she surely is a one of a kind mother in law who knows her son better but also knows her daughter in law to be fighting for her right. Khadija knew that in this situation, Haider was at fault, so in stead of sugarcoating things, she set him straight. Haider has started to lose the plot I believe because he not only misunderstood Mishi, but he also misjudged Khadija saying that she must be taking sides with Mishi to save Hamna’s engagement with Manan. Oh dear, I feel Haider has to make a lot of amends & it would be interesting to see how he will do that.

Overall, this entire episode was done really really well & all the situations are so convincing. I have always said this & I will say it again that Besharam is an intelligent piece of writing & I thank Sarwat Nazeer for coming up with such a simple but unique plot. The director & the actors have literally added life to this screenplay & no wonder why it has become a favorite drama for all the right reasons. I think it is actually quite good that the writer added some problems in Mishi & Haider’s relationship because now Haider will realize his mistakes & it will put things in perspective where he will learn about what & who is more important in his life. All of a sudden, I feel things have become even more realistic because every relationship has its highs & lows & I am sure like how they have given so many good messages throughout this journey, they will end this with a positive message too. Please share your thoughts about this amazing episode of Besharam, even though I am a little sad that Wahab Sunyara didn’t have any dialogue in this episode, but chalo, koi nahi! :/

Besharam Episode 22 Review – Slow But Interesting!

Ohkay so, this episode of Besharam was interesting too with some little developments to its credit. They have considerably slowed down the pace of the drama but I guess it doesn’t matter because they gave us happening episodes back to back for probably 20 weeks. I also feel they needed this time to introduce the turbulence that Haider & Mishi will face in order to emerge from it better & stronger.

Asfand has now started to push his agenda & that is he wants to do so many favors on Haider so that he can never come out of the deep pit he will be entering on Asfand’s orders. Haider is not wrong in feeling the need to access the lifestyle he only dreamt of because he believes he if getting everything based on his hard-work & due to the position he has secured in Asfand’s political party. Haider has always wanted to give Mishi the luxurious lifestyle that she left for him & because of that reason, now when the opportunity has presented itself, Haider is thinking one dimensionally. Haider has never experienced the life that Asfand is introducing him to, that is why right now it is seemingly attractive to him but Mishi on the other hand has lived such a life so she knows that that particular lifestyle comes with a territory & probably has more cons than pros.

I loved the way Mishi tried to explain things to Haider in simple words that she is far more happier & content in living a simple life with him & there is absolutely nothing good about the life Haider is dying to live. I liked the fact that Mishi immediately felt something fishy about the way Asfand was treating Haider. Even Khadija & Hamna didn’t seem too impressed because like Khadija said, it takes a lot of time, patience, perseverance & hard-work in materializing such dreams & these short-cuts never bring prosperity with them. I loved the fact that all three ladies of the house were on the same page & most importantly were right in their stance. Haider definitely doesn’t understand the gravity of the situation but I am sure he will have to fall hard to wake up & realize his mistakes. Haider right now is unable to relate to Khadija’s & Mishi’s feelings because he has tasted the power, so it is imperative that it will cloud his judgment to some extent. For the first time in his life, Haider has started reaping fruits of his supposed hard-work, that is why, he is not too sure why his mother, sister & wife are not being supportive. I wish Haider sees through Asfand’s intentions before it is too late.

Qadeer finally said yes to Shakira’s plea & he seems more than ready to get married to Humna. To be honest, even though Shakira did redeem herself by realizing her mistakes, she proved that she is enslaved to her selfish nature, because of which she ended up telling everyone that Humna was still engaged to Qadeer & they were going to get married soon. It was but natural that Khadija & Haider once again thought that Mishi was the reason why Mrs. Imtiyaz changed her mind about Humna but now when Mishi herself heard what Khadija said about her, I think she should put forth Manan’s proposal for Humna as she knows what Manan feels for her & she has also seen how supportive Khadija is of her despite being worried about her daughter’s marriage, I think Mishi owes them that much.

Everything that Humna said to Manan was actually quite sweet & even though I am not a fan of eavesdropping, I actually wished that Mishi had eavesdropped on that particular conversation because it would’ve been enough for her to get convinced that Humna was Ms. Right for Manan. I hope Sara snaps out of her depression, curbs her persistence & supports Manan in his decision of marrying Humna only in a hope to find some happiness by making her only son happy. Sara has lived her entire life on her own terms that too in search of happiness through true love but now when she doesn’t have a partner, she has her children who she should live selflessly for. Sara forced Sofia to marry Wahab despite knowing that their mental wavelength doesn’t match, she didn’t accept Haider despite seeing how happy Mishi is with Haider & now once again, she only wants to prove her authority to Manan by rejecting his wish to get married to Humna, so I guess it is about time that Sara realizes her mistakes & understands thsat even though she has destroyed her own life herself, she can not & she should not destroy her children’s lives too.

Overall, this episode was a little slow but I still had a good time getting the dose of my favorite drama after 2 weeks. The precap of the next episode suggested that Haider & Mishi’s relationship will suffer because of Asfand’s ulterior motives & Haider’s stupidity. Haider is being irrational to not see how Asfand is using him for his personal gains. I am sure Haider will soon realize his mistakes & he will bid good bye to Asfand & more than that I am looking forward to see how he will learn the value & importance of Mishi in his life when she will walk away. The effortless acting & the flawless direction makes this drama a treat to watch. Saba Qamar & Zahid Ahmed’s chemistry has made the couple of Mishi & Haider memorable. I can’t wait to see the next episode already. Please share your thoughts about this episode of Besharam.

Besharam Episode 21 Review – Strong Personalities Galore!

Ohkay so, this episode of Besharam was amazing but a little on the slower side, but I am sure things are about to spice up because a lot is going to happen in the upcoming episodes, that is why this episode just slightly touched on those aspects & established the grounds for what is yet to come.

Mishi got to know that Manan was interested in Humna. To be honest, I thought she’d jump with joy & will fully support Manan’s decision of marrying Humna, but her reservations considering Sara’s attitude were even though understandable but weren’t necessary. Manan is an independent guy who has made all the important decisions of his life himself, that is why even though he has made up his mind, he was just giving Sara some respect as a mother but sadly, she chose to show that she’s still the same person who doesn’t believe in looking beyond the false standards that do not matter to Manan. Sara herself admitted that Humna was a nice girl, so then I don’t really understand what was stopping her from approving Manan’s choice? Probably her ego! Mishi on the other hand told Manan that no one in Sara’s house will accept Humna but then again, like he said, Humna’ll end up going to the US with him, therefore Mishi’s disapproval was not only unexpected but was unjustified too.

Sikandar & Shakira can see what mistake Qadeer was about to make by getting married to Neelam, that is why they not only talked to him about their concerns but also convinced him that Humna was the right choice for him. Now that Sakira & Sikandar have admitted their mistakes, I think especially Shakira is being selfish, because she has seen what can happen to her & her husband if a girl like Neelam becomes their daughter-in-law, they are ready to put a lid on the past & opt for Humna again.

I like how Haider balances between his mother, his wife & his sister. When he spent enough time with Mishi, he then came to his mother to listen to what she had to say & later sat with Humna to know what was running through her mind as well. I guess Humna’s forlorn face would’ve gotten some context if they had shown that she spotted Qadeer & Neelam together, because that would’ve given us a closer look into what her reaction was & how deeply she was hurt. Even though Khadija touched on the fact that Humna was sad because of Qadeer, I wish they hadn’t deprived us of those scenes because it would’ve added more weight to Humna’s predicament.

besharamepisode21bes101

Mishi got to know what sort of articles were being published about her. Even though Mishi wasn’t hurt for herself, she was more concerned about what Haider must be going through & the pressures he must be facing. Mishi knows that even on the surface Haider might diss all these lies, but in the sub-conscious he might end up paying attention to what was being said about her, that is why once again Mishi tried to assure herself by asking her husband if he will always love & support her. I love the way they have shown how both the husband & wife console each other when one of them feels vulnerable.

The episode ended at a very depressing note, Haider’s car was attacked & Mishi found out about it. Even though in the beginning they showed a conversation that Haider was having with his colleague about what his heart was telling him to do & what Asfand Sultan was suggesting him, they didn’t cover much after that because if they had, this attack would’ve had a context too that just because Haider exposed the CM, the CM ended up threatening Haider with his life. They didn’t cover what Haider did, as in did he follow his heart or did he follow what Asfand, because that was something important that needed to be addressed to show how Haider was dealing with the entire pressure & if he was falling prey to Asfand’s trap a bit too easily or he was doing everything based on his own intelligence by still protecting Mishi’s name & reputation.

Overall, like always, I had a great time watching this episode. I love love love the fact that all the characters have such strong personalities. Sara is strong in her own accord & even Manan is strong because of which he was quite decisive about Humna. Very rarely we get to see a personality clash done well in our dramas & honestly speaking, I love seeing how all these strong & opinionated people react in different situations. I must say the writer has done a commendable job where she not only showed us two strong main leads, but gave so much of depth & personality to the supporting characters too, which makes the entire journey quite interesting & engaging. I can’t wait to see the next episode because even though the precap curbed the fear that something might happen to Haider, what I am more interested to see is how Mishi will share her inhibitions about Asfand’s generosity & what Haider’s reaction will be. Besharam Episode 20 – Sheer Brilliance!

Ohkay so, another week & another brilliant episode of Besharam. I must thank the writer for balancing everything so nicely in this drama. All the characters that started off with some negativity have now changed because the times have changed. What I love the most about this drama is that the writer didn’t make all the characters purely black & white, in stead she kept them very realistic & showed their transition as their circumstances changed, which is commendable & shows the intelligence of the writer here!

Wahab Sunyara got a lot of screen time in this episode & I thoroughly enjoyed watching him. Malik Raza has really given a new dimension to this character & I don’t think any other actor would’ve done justice to this character like he has. Wahab’s character needed to look as realistic as possible without looking OTT & Malik Raza has done exactly just that, for which I appreciate his phenomenal acting. Wahab doesn’t leave an opportunity to let his in-laws know who he is & what he is capable of. I also love the fact that Wahab calls himself paindu but he endorses that label as a badge of honor because he is honest & he has achieved so much in life that he just doesn’t feel the need to prove anything to anyone & if there’s one thing he doesn’t understand, that is superficiality because Wahab himself is one original piece & I truly respect his originality!

Isn’t it amazing that the writer has shown us such an amazing couple that discusses each & every single detail with each other? Now that Haider’s political career is in full swing, Mishi is feeling a little guilty because she knows that people will be using her name to bring Haider down. I loved the fact that Mishi & Haider, both are at such a comfort level with each other that they don’t mind sharing their insecurities. Mishi felt that may be one day Haider will give up & he will get tired of hearing the same thing again & again he will be done explaining himself, that is why she straight away told him what she was going through. Haider on the other hand also had this insecurity that may be, Mishi will get tired of Haider’s lifestyle & his values, for which she might also leave, but it was such a beautiful thing to see that two people who were feeling a little insecure assured each other that they were going to stay. Haider has already changed & he has started to deal with the insults with a lot more maturity because he knows that this is what people are going to use against him, so in stead of reacting, he has to learn to give them a shutup call!

Manan has already proposed to Humna & it seems that Humna will agree, I am sure Mishi will convince her so yes, the marriage of Humna & Manan is on cards. I like the fact that even though Manan is young, he is independent & he can make such decisions by himself. He liked Humna, so he decided to get married to her & he didn’t care what his mother will think despite knowing exactly what opinion Sara holds about Haider’s entire family.

Well, Qadeer’s girlfriend made an appearance & just an interaction with her was enough for Sikandar & Shakira to know that they were not only wrong in judging Mishi but they also made a huge mistake by calling Humna & Qadeer’s engagement off. This is the main reason why I never really disliked Sikandar & Shakira because they were a very realistic portrayal of those very typical & judgmental relatives who don’t hold back in judging people wrongly & who always take pride in their upbringing. Sikandar & Shakira were just a couple of misapprehended people who thought that their kids were free of faults & they had a full control on destiny but now when things have started to unravel, they don’t mind admitting their mistakes. I think this quality makes them look very genuine that in the past when they didn’t stop from misjudging Khadija’s family, now in the present they are not stopping themselves from accepting their faults as well.

Even though I am excited to see how Haider will make a name for himself in the field of politics, I really hope that Asfand doesn’t exploit Haider’s zest & passion for his personal benefits. Haider’s association with Asfand’s party has already strengthened it a great deal, but somehow the way Asfand used the monetary incentive to divert Haider’s attention made me a little suspicious of his motives. Even though Asfand has guided Haider in the right direction so far, it looks like now he is also ready to use Mishal’s name to cause a dent in CM’s reputation & that is the main reason why he is giving a free-hand to Haider & has given him so much of authority already. I really hope that like all the previous speculations, the writer proves us wrong & shows that Asfand’s intentions were never to use Haider & he is an honest politician who only believes in truth & honesty, but this is what I felt & I can’t wait to see what’s in store for us when it comes to Haider’s political career.

This entire episode was beautiful. I love love love the acting of all the actors & the direction of this drama. The story is so beautifully written that even though it pretty much revolves around reality, it still has shown us everything in such a positive light. I also love the timely humor that has been added in the drama because it makes things a lot more interesting & engaging. I found myself laughing at so many dialogues & reactions, like ‘larki ke shikaar ki party’ & ‘atay hue AC bhi le ana’ & also the way Saba was amused at the way Qadeer’s girlfriend was treating Shakira, haha! What I love about the comedy in this drama is that it seems very effortless & it shows that the dialogue writer has a great sense of humor which always is an added bonus for a viewer like me. I love Mishi & Haider’s relationship & I love seeing them discussing all the minute details with so much of honesty. They are a team & they are a couple who believes in strengthening their relationship, that is why where Mishi shares everything with him about her family, Haider tells her everything about his job too. The ring scene was actually quite sweet, both Saba Qamar & Zahid Ahmed have made the relationship of Mishi & Haider a very memorable aspect of this drama & I can’t praise the entire team of Besharam enough for giving us such a beautiful journey. Besharam Episode 19 – Another Beautiful Episode!

Ohkay so, this was yet another beautiful episode of Besharam. I am so glad & I can’t thank the team of Besharam enough for giving us such a beautiful & brilliant drama that makes us happy with each passing episode. I feel the unpredictability in the story is the strongest point of this drama because just when we predict the situations & when we predict that the certain characters will react a certain way, they actually surprise us pleasantly every single time by showing something totally opposite to what we all are expecting.

Honestly speaking, the very first impression that I had of Manan was completely opposite to what he shown to be in this episode. Manan may look a little unrefined & immature but I was actually quite pleasantly surprised to learn that he is exactly like Mishi, a very mature & wise person who has struggled in life to make things work for him. Manan didn’t get everything on a golden platter & he is proud of the fact that he is a self-made man, that is why he understands that superficial things are not important & this is what he made his mother understand too. I loved how easily Manan connected with Mishi & her in-laws & that was only because of his wisdom & perspective as he knows that it is the warmth & honesty that should be valued which was the epitome of Haider’s family. I found it actually quite sweet that Manan tried to make his mother realize that she was wrong in judging Haider’s family as he already knows what sort of a person Haider is because even though Sara is oblivious, at least Manan knows that he came to Pakistan because it was Haider who requested him to come.

I just like the effortlessness in how the situations unfold & how all the characters react. I actually thought that Haider will won’t take things lightly when he will learn the truth about what Saba did & I also believed that Haider would be shocked to know that Mishi met Qadeer without informing Haider first but once again, I was pleasantly surprised at how Haider behaved. It showed that he has so much of trust in Mishi & her judgment that he didn’t feel like questioning her & without probing further, Haider just knew that everything Mishi did must’ve been a well-thought out decision. Even though in the beginning, Haider made sure to let Mishi know that he will rule her & he won’t let her have her way but after learning more & more about her, he has started trusting her to such an extent that he seems relaxed now as he knows that his beloved wife will never put him down & she will never do anything to upset him!

Haider has finally stepped back into the field of politics & this time around, Asfand seems to be trusting Haider more as he knows about Haider’s strengths. I just loved the conversation Mishi & Haider had when they were in a car, there was something absolutely sweet about that entire scenario where Mishi was calm & relaxed while Haider was happy about how he was successfully taking some steps towards a brighter future that will enable him to give everything to his wife that she deserves & dreams of. Even though it was Haider who got the car but somehow it was a moment of success, as a wife for Mishi too because if he wouldn’t have persuaded Haider & if she hadn’t put faith in him, Haider would’ve never gone back to Asfand Sultan & he definitely would’ve rejected his proposal. I loved the way they showed that a husband & wife can reap the benefits together if they stand by each other’s side in the time of difficulty!

Humna actually left quite an impression on Manan & he seemed attracted to her. Even though the comment that he made on her was a general remark of flattery but I am sure it had more strings attached. I am sure Manan will develop a liking for Humna & Mishi will make Humna realize that Manan is the right choice because Qadeer never deserved her love. I love how Khadija didn’t hold back in admitting that she was completely wrong in judging Mishi. How sweet is that? How often do we find such mother in laws in our dramas that admit their mistakes & appreciate their daughters in law for their efforts? Seems like Wahab Sunyara will be coming back along with Sofie Jaan to meet his Salay Sahab & Saasu Ma. I must say while Wahab was slurping tea I was having some black coffee & I actually tried slurping too, to see if it tasted better or it was enjoyable or not, lol!!!

As expected, this entire episode was beautiful & I appreciated it even more because I was getting my dose of Besharam after a long gap of 2 weeks. I just love how effortlessly & without making everything look preachy, the writer has embedded so many positive messages in this drama. The message that stood out the most for me in this episode was about how we shouldn’t judge people based on how much material they have. What actually define the worth of people are the characteristics like honesty, loyalty, positivity, sincerity & most importantly, warmth & love. In just a single meeting with Haider & his family, Manan knew that Mishi made the right choice. Even though Wahab has all the wealth in the world, but did he ever go out of the way for his Saasu Ma to make things or situations right or to strengthen the bond between the family members. It is Haider, the guy with a humble background & no bank balance that has done that for Sara & I hope she realizes it soon. I loved how Mishi told Haider that she wants respect the most & I am sure she will get plenty because even Haider & his family have realized that Mishi is a completely different person & she is not someone they assumed she would be. Also one thing that stood out the most for me was the mention of writing fashion blogs, it was so amazing that Haider wanted his wife to have a hobby & still stay connected to something that she has a complete knowledge of. How cool is that? How often do we get to see such husbands who appreciate what their wives are good at & tell them to dedicate their time to something that they are passionate about? It was so refreshing & beautiful!!! I just loveddd watching this episode & honestly speaking, I wouldn’t mind if this drama doesn’t end for like another 10 – 12 weeks because it is such an amazing drama with such beautiful moments that I just don’t want it to end! Besharam Episode 18 – Amazinnnggg!!

Ohkay so, like always, this episode of Besharam was interesting too & I am so glad that the director knows what he is doing because every time we expect things to blow out of proportion, the director lets us know the clarity he had in his mind about the script. Also, I will thank Sarwat Nazeer for writing this drama so brilliantly which is filled with nothing but positivity.

Honestly speaking, I never really thought that Qadeer will not only listen to Mishi so keenly but he will believe everything that she will tell him too. I thought that Qadeer will try to defend Saba & will choose not to listen to Mishi because of the opinions his parents had about her, but Qadeer proved that he is not only wise but different from his family too. He knew that everything that Mishi was saying couldn’t be a lie because how would her friend know about Saba, if Saba hadn’t walked into the studio herself for a photo-shoot. I must say, what I liked about the entire conversation was how Mishi tried to tell Qadeer that she wasn’t trying to infuriate him, but in stead, she was only trying to make him cautious so that Saba doesn’t commit more mistakes. I also liked how Qadeer thanked her because all the things that he heard shook his ground but he didn’t forget his manners.

Sara has pretty much accepted Haider wholeheartedly, but she is used to the idea of putting him down, that is why she once again told Mishi how she wasn’t happy that she was going home. I love how every single time Mishi tells her mother about all the positive aspects of her marriage & tries to make sure she doesn’t think much about the things that according to Sara must be negative, like Haider not having enough money or a lavish house. Haider has proved to Sara that he is not going anywhere & he is not only going to take care of Mishi, but he will be extending emotional & moral support to her too because the way he persuaded Mannan to come to Pakistan to meet his mother was another pleasant surprise.

Finally, Sikandar’s family learned the truth about what Saba did & how she was the one who took the amount to give it to the photographer. I loved how without beating around the bush, Qadeer told Saba that he found out what she did. Even though the reactions were natural & the way Shakira beat Saba out of sheer frustration was something that usually happens when girls cross the line, I knew that their decision of getting her married straight away will push Saba further away from all of them. Saba is immature & more than harsh reactions, she needs someone who can make her understand that she is wrong & also make her realize that she is only bringing a bad name to her family & herself as well.

Well, Haider, the hero that he is, saved the day again & brought Saba home. I was actually quite relieved to see how Sikandar not only admitted his mistakes but also realized that it was the karma that he was facing now. Also, the way Khadija found out about the Doctor being Amir Liaqat (meaning fake degree holder) was another positive message that the writer sent across. I love how the writer has brought the fact into the light that all you need is positivity & honesty in your life, because these are the only things that you need to shape your life up & one should try to stay away from scheming & plotting because what goes around comes around too. All this while, like all the parents, Sikandar & Shakira thought that they had an upper-hand because their kids were innocent & better than Khadija’s but the time told them that they were wrong & Khadija’s children were definitely better. I have always liked Sikandar for the fact that even though he is an opportunist & quite selfish, but he is honest in his own way, like he never supports his wife in saying anything bad about Haider & even after finding out about everything that Saba did, he regretted his decision of calling Qadeer & Humna’s relationship quits.

Quite often I come across a lot such comments where the viewers say that they derive lessons from Zara Yaad Kar & I also see them advocating that the writer of Zara Yaad Kar is giving out lessons about relationships but quite humbly, I put forth a request that if they want to derive some lessons from a drama, then it should be this drama; Besharam. This drama is filled with such positive messages in regards to all the relationships & also about how one should lead his life because where the writer showed us the hardships that Sikandar’s family faced because of their selfishness, the writer also showed us how Khadija’s family is at a happy place right now because they are far away from negativity & only believe in living their lives with honesty & simplicity. This drama also gives out a much needed message of how spouses should treat each other with respect & love, but also should give each other a time & space which is necessary to nourish a relationship. Mishi was a model & everyone judged her due to her choice of career, but the writer showed that if a girl finds her Mr. Right, who treats her with love & respect, she will go to any lengths to please him. This is exactly why Mishi & Haider’s relationship stands out the most because even though they react like normal couples do, they look like a unique couple on screen because we hardly get to see such pairs, thanks to our writers who are bent on showing these twisted people who have no respect for this sacred union called marriage. I thank Sarwat Nazeer for bringing us such an amazing drama which is free from all the clichés & is turning out to be a memorable journey.

Oh well, Wahab Sunyanra made an appearance & like everyone, I am his fan too, that’s why I enjoyed watching his scene as well. Wahab finally admitted that he did everything as he wanted his revenge from Haider, but I hope that he backtracks from it & Sofie makes him realize that Mishi is quite happy with him, so there’s no need for him to attack Haider financially. I am sure like all the things the writer & the director have taken care of, they will put an end to this animosity between Wahab & Haider too.

Overall, this episode was amazing & I loved watching it. No doubt when the episode of Besharam ends, it leaves me feeling positive but I also find myself happy while watching the episode as not only all the characters are amazing, but their conversations with each other & their reactions, everything seems very realistic & relate-able as well. I loved the conversation that Humna & Mishi had & also, the scenes between Mishi & Haider were like always, the best part about this episode too. I just love how the writer has written the character of Mishi, where only Haider’s love & attention is enough for her. I also love how the characters have evolved in this drama, where Khadija from being someone who disliked Mishi has turned into someone who can’t stop cherishing her presence in her life. Sikandar has evolved from being a selfish father to an understanding uncle who is now regretting everything that he did. Sara has also evolved from being that mother in law who disapproved of her son in law into someone who now acknowledges everything that Haider does. I am sure I have said it already but I just love love loveee everything about this drama. Saba Qamar looked very pretty throughout the episode but she had this innocence on her face in the scene where she is having a conversation with Humna after offering her prayers. Ah!!! I am feeling positive. Please share your thoughts about this amazing episode of Besharam. :)

Besharam Episode 17 – Intelligent Piece of Writing!

Ohkay so, despite being teensy tiny bit slow, this episode was amazing & power-packed. I love watching this drama & I am so glad that even though so many episodes have gone on-air it is still going strong. I like how situations & all the characters are evolving & every episode brings a new chapter with it.

Haider has pretty much given up on his dream of becoming a politician & because he is feeling burdened by the household expenses, he is forcing himself to do a regular job that will guarantee some fixed income with which he will be able to take care of his family, but little did he know that just when he will stop thinking about everything, Asfand Sultan will appear in his life & ask him to join his party once again. It is amazing how Mishi has not once forced Haider to go out of the way to fend for his responsibilities because she knows that he is trying really hard. If Mishi had wanted, she could’ve easily told Haider to settle for a job but in stead, she chose to tell him to chase his dreams as she knows that politics is something that Haider is most passionate about. I am glad that they introduced this track in Haider’s life once again because things will become even more interesting.

Mishi chose to contact Qadeer because she not only had to talk about Saba but she also wanted to know about his final answer in regards to Humna too. I think it was a wise decision that Mishi made because she know that Saba’s parents would never believe what she will say & Saba will easily persuade them into believing that Mishi was lying, so she knew that if there was one person who’d actually understand the entire situation, it was Qadeer. However, I feel Mishi should have informed Haider about it too, not that it would’ve made much difference because Haider trusts her completely but it wouldn’t have hurt to have Haider’s back in this matter because one way or the other, Haider is linked to this situation because his part of the amount is missing as well.

Haider has made such a good impact on Sara in such a short span of time that even though she still feels uncomfortable at the idea of Mishi living with Haider in his humble abode, she has accepted their relationship. Sara has learned the truth that Haider might not be financially stable, but he knows how to protect Mishi & most importantly, he knows how to make her happy. Sara has seen how determined Haider is & she has also seen how Mishi is at a happy place in this relationship, so she can’t really complain much & that is why she was convinced to go to meet Mishi & Haider’s family with a wedding gift. I am glad that they didn’t cover that scene because they have shown enough of her for us to imagine what she must’ve said & how she must’ve reacted, but it was good to see Sara giving a nod of approval to Mishi & respecting her choices.

I must say, the character that has evolved into a very respectful personality is that of Khadija. It was so nice to see her complimenting Mishi over her smallest of efforts. Also, the way Khadija didn’t pay much heed to what Sara said also goes to show that she isn’t someone who will make a fuss about the facts that she herself is aware of. Khadija isn’t oblivious of the fact that Mishi comes from a very different background, that is why she wasn’t surprised at how Sara reacted & even told Mishi to not worry much about what she must be feeling or thinking. Also, I think it was quite sweet of Khadija when she refused to take the money from Mishi, saying that Haider gave that money to Mishi for her personal use. These are quite a few things that might not matter but actually do stand out in this drama because we rarely get to see such characters, such mothers in law, such husbands, such wives & such daughters in law in our dramas who deal with the situations wisely, who believe in respecting each other, who believe in letting go of the bitter stuff & who are not always on a hunt to makes the matters worse.

I loved loved loved Haider & Mishi’s scenes the most. The way they bicker, the way they taunt each other, the way they compliment each other, it is actually quite refreshing to see a husband & wife behaving like a ‘normal’ couple in the toughest of circumstances, because it shows that the power of love is so strong that they are ready to deal with anything & everything with a smile on their face. Mishi has made her place in Haider’s heart & his home too & Haider has done the same thing because the changes in Sara’s attitude are pretty explanatory. Even though in the initial stages of their marriage, it looked like Haider was quite demanding & believed in having things his way, but as their story progressed, Haider started reciprocating everything that Mishi was doing for him & his family & that is why, he made sure to form cordial terms with Mishi’s mother, as he could see that Sara’s behavior affected Mishi a lot.

So finally, Haider accepted Asfand’s offer because Mishi gave him the validation & push that he needed, but first Haider made sure to let him know that he was pretty much settled with his wife & he won’t be bothered if Asfand will once again have any objections over his marriage. It is good that Asfand doesn’t seem much concerned about Haider’s personal life & only wants his expertise in the field of politics. Mishi finally had a conversation with Qadeer, but she was shocked to know that Qadeer has moved on. I hope now when Humna will get to know this, she will kiss the idea of getting married to him good-bye because she deserves someone better than him for sure. Also, Sikandar got an answer from Wahab that he most certainly wasn’t expecting. I am still not sure if Wahab did this to get back at Haider or he was genuinely interested in Sikandar’s shop, I hope they do uncover the reason behind Wahab’s move as well.

Overall, this episode was amazing & I am so glad we’re getting to see a couple of such individuals who not only believe in supporting each other, but also believe in empowering each other with their validation, with their love & with their trust too. It was for the first time when Mishi also confessed her love for Haider & it was absolutely sweet. All the questions about ‘kangan’ were so filmy & done really well, I can’t thank the writer enough for giving us a couple that behaves normally because this is something that we never get to see in our dramas. The acting of all the actors & the direction of this drama has remained top-notch so far & I am so glad that even at this stage of the drama, the ending of each & every episode leaves us asking for more. Thank you so much team Besharam for giving us an incredibly amazing drama. Please share your thoughts about this episode of Besharam.

Besharam Episode 16 – Loved Loved Loved It!

Ohkay so, don’t you love it when you expect one thing & the drama-makers surprise you with another & oh, did I mention ‘pleasantly’ surprise you with another. I just loved loved loved this episode of Besharam & I can’t explain how happy the thought process of the writer makes me. I actually thank Sarwat Nazeer for coming up with such a brilliant drama & such such amazing characters that are such a breath of fresh air, who are unconventional & have so much of substance. I just love this drama & also, I love how every episode gives me something new to talk about!

I actually expected that Haider won’t take things lightly & what Mishal did will definitely create a rift between them but I was not only surprised but ecstatic at the way Haider handled everything. Yes, he had the right to be angry at her & he did let her know what he was going through as he could see that now his mother won’t sit still & she won’t give Mishi a chance. I loved that on his own, Haider immediately understood that it was only because of Humna that Mishi pushed herself to such an extent in order to help her but he was more concerned about what his mother will say or do. Haider is one of a kind & he is proving to be such a husband who doesn’t only believe in ‘saying’ that he will give time & space to his wife, but proves it with his attitude & behavior. Haider knew what Mishi did wasn’t easy for her as during the time she has spent with him, Mishi has depicted her mind-set & through her conduct she has let him know that she doesn’t fall in a category of those models who society deems as ‘besharam’ & that is why, Haider found it easy to forgive what Mishi did as he understood her perspective & knew that what she did was only to save Humna from a marriage that she most certainly wasn’t ready for.

Not only Haider, but Humna pleasantly surprised me too because she didn’t just become a spectator & let Mishi face the brunt for what she did. Humna made sure to let Haider & also Khadija know that she was the one who asked for Mishi’s help & it was only her helplessness that compelled Mishi to put up such an act. Haider didn’t listen to what she had to say but at least Humna conveyed her message to Khadija, which obviously didn’t calm her down completely but convinced her a tad bit that Mishi wasn’t entirely responsible for everything.

I loved how once again Haider’s entire family came together & walked past this phase too. Being a mother, Khadija’s concerns are rational & understandable. She wants to see her daughter getting settled with a decent life partner & she also understands that Mishi’s presence might become a hindrance but at least, she listened to what Haider had to say & eventually ended up giving Mishi another chance. The thing I like about Khadija the most is that she is a true mother, who shares her frustrations & fury with her children, but also respects them enough to listen to their stance & understand where they are coming from, which is why, Khadija tried to forget what her daughter in law did & ended up having a detailed conversation with her where she made her familiar with the do’s & don’ts of her household. Also, after this entire fiasco, I loved Mishi’s behavior the most, where she didn’t try to prove that what she did was right, rather she understood everyone’s agitation & gave them a fair chance to have their say as she knew that this act of hers saved Humna’s life & that is why she silently accepted everything because her mission was accomplished.

Finally, Haider is on the move now & he has made his career his priority. Haider has understood that his passion for politics won’t earn him bread, that is why he became serious about the job hunt. What pushed him a little further was the confession of Sikandar where he found out that the money that he was relying on was stolen. Haider also found out that Mishi was the one who paid the rent of his office, which was another push that he got that made him even more convinced that he had to make some money so that he could pay Mishi back as soon as possible. Haider obviously didn’t expect that Sikandar will give him such a tragic news but he most certainly is not the one who will let go of everything so easily. I am sure that Haider will make Sikandar pay him by hook or by crook & for that, I hope Sikandar finds the truth about Saba pretty soon.

Even though Kabeer’s confession seemed a bit unrealistic but then I guess he was drunk & had no control over his tongue, therefore he ended up telling Jaani the secret, that eventually Mishal found out about. It was actually beneficial that Haider shared what was on his mind with Mishail, that is why she was able to put two & two together & knew that the money Saba gave to Kabeer partially belonged to Haider too & this was something that was bothering Haider a lot. I really like how slowly & steadily, Mishi has become a part of Haider’s family & his life & now he is at that stage where he easily shares his problems with her like any husband usually would.

I loved the conversation Haider & Mishi had about peaceful sleep that Mishi experiences in Haider’s home. Mishi is definitely at a happy place in this relationship & more than happy, she is content with her decision & that is why she is giving it a 100% & what’s even better is that despite feeling a little insecure, Haider also sees how Mishi has settled herself in this new phase of her life which often leaves him stunned because Mishi is turning out to be like he never really imagined or expected her to be.

Overall, this entire episode was amazing & I was craving for more when it ended. Mishi & Haider are past the stage where they were understanding each other & were hesitant. Now they are a team & more than that, they have understood how things work & what they both expect from each other, that is why they are making things work the best way possible. I am so glad that Haider quickly put everything in the past & forgave Mishi for what she did because that definitely could’ve made things worse but I am so so so glad that the story of this drama is far from being typical & that’s the best part about it, for which I will thank the writer once again for giving us something totally new & different amidst the rough patch where every other drama is either about a divorce or a halala! Obviously, another best part of this drama is the chemistry between Saba Qamar & Zahid Ahmed & their top-notch acting of course. I must say, I love the to-the-point approach of the director the most, he surely has done a brilliant job & I love the editing of this drama as well. The creative team has really done justice to such a powerful script & it is really good to see such an amazing script being dramatized to perfection. Anyways, I can’t wait to see how Mishi will deal with Saba in the episodes to come, I hope she makes her confess her mistakes in front of her parents so that they get a reality check. Please share your thoughts about this amazing amazing amazinggg episode of Besharam. :)

Besharam – Episode 15! (Relationships Done Right)

Ohkay so, after quite a few episodes, I liked this episode of Besharam a lot better because things between Haider & Mishi have started working out but what happened in the last part of the episode does suggest that Mishi will land in deep trouble for what she did. I wish as they are showing us the personal lives of Haider & Mishi, they had shown us their professional lives too. Yes, Mishi has stopped modelling but it would’ve been better if they had shown Haider pursuing his career in politics because to see a man with so much of passion for politics wasting his time just like that doesn’t seem justified.

What I liked the most about this episode was the way it was shown that Mishi is becoming a part of Haider’s family & Haider is making an effort to become a part of Mishi’s family as well. It definitely has taken a lot for Mishi to make her place in Haider’s home & now her efforts are being acknowledged by Haider a lot. It was good to see Khadija sharing a conversation with Mishi too, may be because she was looking forward to Humna’s proposal but other than that, she herself has realized that Mishi is not like what she used to think about her. Haider’s compliments were done well & it shows how a man’s encouragement can bring a positive change in a woman, no matter how level-headed or independent she might be because a woman always needs love & support & that aspect has been covered brilliantly in this drama by showing Haider & Mishi’s relationship. I totally enjoyed the conversation that the entire family of Haider had with each other, it actually made them look like a close-knit family & the timing of all the actors & the chemistry between them was perfect too.

Just as much Mishi takes her as her duty to help Haider’s family to the best of her abilities, Haider also feels that same way, that is why without even informing his wife, he went to her home to have a conversation with his mother in law. I guess Haider has realized that Sara is lost & she is emotionally fragile, that is why he went to extend her some emotional support & Haider knows that really well because he has seen the regret & sadness in Mishi’s eyes every time she talks about her mother. Haider has seen that even though Mishi might not say it openly, everything that Sara has done & all her decisions have taken a toll on all her children & this is why Haider tried to make her realize that she still can rectify the situation & amend the broken ties. Even though Manan didn’t make an appearance but looks like he will be showing up in the future episodes. Manan ran away because he was tired of seeing his mother getting involved with one man after another & the way Mishi described that entire situation did actually make me feel for her & I believe Sara is the reason why Mishi despite being a model never went on that path as she knew that all that stuff comes with a baggage which not only affects the person involved but also takes a toll on the people that surround them too. I really liked the way Haider made Sara realize that may be Manan was waiting for her & she needed to break the ice. I am sure it won’t be long when Sara will start depending on Haider emotionally & then she will eventually admit that Haider is Mishi’s Mr. Right.

Saba finally dealt with the situation but I am not convinced that Kabeer won’t bother her again. I am sure he will keep on blackmailing her but for now, Saba did shoo him away. Sikandar found out that a huge amount was missing & it was good to see that he was more worried about the fact that he was answerable to Haider. It shows that at least he does have some conscience in him that made him worried about the fact that he has to fulfill the promise he made to Haider, even if he hasn’t told him the actual amount that he got as an advance payment. I am not sure how Sikandar will find out that Saba is the culprit but I hope he finds out soon before Saba creates an even bigger trouble for the entire family.

Well, Khadija approved the proposal that came for Humna but I will say that the last scene did seem a little unnecessary. They could’ve just shown that after spotting Mishail in the house, the doctor’s sister walked away because that was what Khadija was dreading the most, at least this way Mishi wouldn’t have had to put up an act of ‘besharmi’ in front of the guests. I am not sure how Haider will react to that but I have faith in Humna that she will explain things to Haider that she was the one who asked for Mishi’s help, but not really sure if she will do that because when it comes to Mishi, apart from Haider, no one takes a stand for her. I actually really like Mishi’s selflessness & admire her quality where she always walks an extra mile for the people she’s associated with, like she decided to pay the office rent because she was concerned about the school that Haider allowed that woman to run in his office space. Haider & Mishail are two characters that I genuinely like.

Overall, this episode was quite interesting & I loved seeing the entire family of Haider coming together. I am sure after what Mishi did, Khadija won’t forgive her easily but I hope Humna also defends Mishi like she always does. The acting of all the actors is amazing but for some reason, I really really enjoy watching Mehmood Akhtar’s scenes because he adds such realism to his performance that it becomes a treat to watch him. I really like Saba Qamar & Zahid Ahmed’s chemistry & they both for sure are one of the best on-screen couples that we got to see recently. Please share your thoughts about this episode of Besharam.

Besharam – Episode 14!

Ohkay so, this episode of Besharam was really good. Things are moving forward & they are definitely going to become a lot more interesting as the story will progress. For the first time I felt that the relationship of Haider & Mishi suffered because they both failed to bend & compromise to understand each other but a lot of times it is Haider who makes sure to let Mishi know what he genuinely feels for her & Mishi just brushes it off.

I really felt that Mishi was at fault for not telling Haider the truth about Saba & her desperate attempt of getting into modelling. When Mishi found out that Saba lied to Haider, I think it was unwise of Mishi to keep things from her husband & expect Saba to acknowledge what she has done for her already was a huge favor. Yes, Mishi did tell Saba to deal with her own problems herself but she failed to understand that what Saba said made Haider doubt her a tad bit, which definitely is not something that they both can afford right now especially when Haider was being a little touchy. Mishi ignored explaining herself & that resulted in Haider making some judgmental remarks about her which she most certainly wasn’t expecting. I think the best part about their relationship so far was the fact that they both didn’t let the communication gap grow between them but I hated seeing that emerging a bit because of a stupid & selfish girl like Saba who is conniving enough to lie to save her sorry being but doesn’t have the guts to be strong enough to own her mistake & take the right step to amend it.

Mishi returned & she got the welcome she never expected, even though she didn’t let the meeting of Saba & Haider cause a doubt in her mind but she most certainly was shocked at the way Haider treated her. I really liked the developing relationship between Humna & Mishi where Humna has started acknowledging the fact that Mishi is her brother’s wife & she has to respect her due to her status in the family. Khadija is still being unreasonable & I don’t think she will change any time soon.

Saba ended up stealing the money that Wahab handed over to Sikandar after he gave him the signed papers. Saba really is crossing the lines & I am sure she will land herself in a bigger & deeper trouble because Kabeer won’t stop after this either. Once Kabeer will know that Saba has started to fall under the trap of his blackmailing then he will continue to do that. I am glad that at least Sikandar is going to suffer a bit because he wasn’t honest with Haider & has always made his family suffer too!

Haider leaving the politics came as a shock to me. I thought he was still trying but just after getting dismissed from one party, Haider has pretty much given up on his career that he always dreamed of, which I think is not in line with his character because if there was one thing that Haider was passionate about, it was politics & in the initial episodes, I didn’t think just a dismissal from a single party will bring him down so hard that he will step away from this career path completely. However, the way he helped the teacher was really sweet, despite suffering from a financial crisis at this point, Haider didn’t think twice before lending a helping hand to someone who he thought was doing a good job giving children a free education. I am sure Mishi will try to help him because she attended Muneer’s phone call & got to know about the root cause that was bothering Haider these days, but I really wish that Haider manifests the opportunity for him himself & steps into politics once again because I really am interested to see him pursuing a career that he certainly is made for.

Khadija wants Humna to get married to someone but the way Humna relied on Mishi was really good. I am sure Mishi will start sharing her feelings with Humna too & they boht will end up helping each other. Humna knows that Mishi is reasonable & she is wise, so she knew that she might talk to Haider & convince him to help Humna out. The way Haider took a stand for Mishi in front of his mother was good too, Haider knows when & how to maintain a balance because this time around he knew that his mother was being irrational. Mishi is Haider’s wife & there’s no denying to that, so her demand of Mishi not being present at the time the guests will arrive didn’t really make sense. Haider’s confession that he loved Mishi was really good too but seems like Mishi hasn’t fallen for him just yet. Yes, Mishi does appreciate Haider’s strong-willed personality & she has a lot of admiration for him because he gives words to his feelings about her & takes a stand for her every single time, but right now, Mishi thinks she is putting up with everything due to a commitment that she made to herself but I am sure she will soon realize that she is doing it out of her love for Haider.

Overall, this episode was really good. I really enjoy the way Wahab never misses an opportunity to give Sara a reality check by saying things about her that are nothing but true. I really hope the entire Saba-Kabeer scenario is done & dealt with as soon as possible & she stops pestering Haider & Mishi because she is becoming a bone of contention between the two of them which seems a bit unnecessary, since Haider & Mishi are two mature & wise individuals. Besharam – Episode 13!

Ohkay so, this episode of Besharam was interesting but they have started taking things a bit slow & honestly speaking I am dreading that things are going to become difficult for Haider & Mishail because the external factors are going to affect their relationship & they both will fall prey to the circumstances.

Sikandar told Khadija about his plans of selling the shop but he actually didn’t come clean & didn’t resort to honesty. Sikandar is selfish & mean & unfortunately, he thinks that he will progress in life & this deal of selling the shop will bring him ease & happiness, which he is sadly mistaken about. Sikandar has a few responsibilities to take care of, that is why he isn’t thinking about the future because if he had, he would’ve understood that selling of this shop will take a toll on both the families in the long-run. Sikandar is quite ecstatic to know that Wahab is giving him a good amount but he can’t foresee that this money won’t last him for a life time. Haider could feel that Sikandar had made up his mind that’s why he didn’t retaliate much & went ahead with what his uncle demanded.

It was made clear that Wahab knows that Haider also has an ownership of this shop, that is why he hinted about ruining a deal for someone. I am sure in order to make Haider suffer, Wahab will deceive Sikandar too but I hope Sikandar won’t make Haider face the brunt for it because it is Sikandar who became greedy after getting an offer from Wahab & Haider had no say in this matter whatsoever. The way Wahab kept on convincing Sikandar to hand over the shop to him went to show that Wahab will definitely betray Sikandar’s trust, which he actually deserves but sadly, Haider’s family will end up suffering some loss too but I am hopeful that Haider will take care of his family members himself.

Saba has fallen in a deep pit & she knows that it is only Mishi who can help her in this situation. Honestly, I want Sikandar to find out the truth about his daughter so that he can realize that what he did with Khadija, Humna & Haider was wrong & also, he was at fault for judging Mishail because of her career choices. I want Sikandar to find out that it was Mishi who helped Saba & saved her life from getting ruined. Saba will definitely come in contact with Mishi & then we’ll have to see what solution Mishi will come up with in order to deal with Kabeer!

I really am not happy about the coverage that Sara is getting & I am wondering how long is she going to milk it? When the drama began we saw that Mishail did what she deemed fit so it is hard to absorb that she is letting Sara dominate her without even realizing that Sara has an ulterior motive. Yes, Mishi has grown far more considerate about her mother after her marriage but to see her putting everything on hold for her mother doesn’t go with her personality. Mishi knows that Haider needs her too & he stood by her side & gave her the courage when he found her worried about her mother, so it’s time for Mishi to go back & reciprocate the love & attention Haider showered at her. All the things Haider said to Sara about giving security & protection to Mishi were quite sweet & I hope Mishi goes back ASAP because otherwise this track will end up getting dragged & it might as well ruin the charm too.

Haider saw what Mishi was upto at her mom’s house & he was disappointed, but what hurt him more was the fact that Mishi didn’t stop him from leaving & didn’t bother explaining to him about what he saw her doing with her friends. I think Mishi really needs to return to Haider’s house, work on her marriage in stead of letting Sara take up all her time & attention. I like Humna’s presence in the drama & what makes her character even more likable is the fact that she is honest & blunt & doesn’t hold back from saying the truth, that is why she told her mother to see the good in Mishi & also told Haider that he was agitated because Mishi wasn’t around, haha!

Overall, this episode was pretty decent but things have started to go a bit slow. I hope they revive the aspect of Haider’s political career as well & also open up the truth of Saba on Sikandar as soon as possible because that way Sikandar & Shakira will snap out of the fixation of calling Mishail besharam time & again. As always, the acting of every actor was spot on in this episode & the direction was top-notch too, the only thing I feel is that things need to get moving because it was the fast pace that got us hooked to this drama in the first place & oh, the chemistry between Saba Qamar & Zahid Ahmed was spot on too, they both make a perfect on-screen couple & I hope we get to see them again working together in a love story soon. & yes, there are so many things that work for me & one of it is the dialogue writing & a touch of humor that a few conversations have. I actually lol’ed at the things Sikandar said to Shakira about watching ‘Nagin’, I must say Mehmood Akhtar’s timing & expressions are amazinggg! Besharam – Episode 12!

Ohkay so, this episode of Besharam was good in bits & pieces. A lot of scenes were interesting & a few were good but overall, this episode gave us what we want to see the most & that is, the relationship that Mishi & Haider share but I must say, the pace has slowed down a tad bit & the focus has been shifted on the supporting characters more than the main characters, which I somewhat mind. I hope they bring the focus back on Mishi & Haider ASAP because they’re the main reason why we tune to this drama in the first place. :)

Finally, someone asked Mishail what she likes about being married to Haider & what she finds it in him that she doesn’t mind sacrificing everything for him. I loved the things Mishi said to Sofia about Haider. It’s like in such a short span of time, Haider has given her this sense of security & protection that she has longed for all her life. Even though Mishi & Haider still have a long way to go when it comes to understanding each other but just in the beginning Haider has given her the safety net & he has given her so much of freedom to realize that he is the perfect match for her. Mishail does acknowledge all the little things that Haider say or does for her, which is quite refreshing to see. I find the character of Mishail really nice where she focuses more on the positive side of the things & doesn’t bother much about the shortcomings that Haider according to others might have.

I must say I like the way the relationship between Sofia & Mishail has improved. When Sofie came, Mishi could barely tolerate her & she didn’t even want to share a space with her but ever since she has gotten married, she has seen how Sofie is trying hard to keep things normal between Mishi & Sara. Sofie is acting like a binding force & being the eldest daughter, she is dealing with the situation quite wisely, that is why it was good to see Sofie & Mishi sharing a heart-to-heart conversation with one another. Also, I must say, the way they both take each other’s taunts & sarcasm in good spirit is quite interesting too. It’s like both the sisters know & understand each other well, that is why they don’t get offended & feel comfortable in saying the truth out loud in front of each other.

Sikandar got to say what he wanted to but I am glad that Haider & even Humna defended Mishi in front of Khadija & fortunately, things weren’t blown out of proportion as I as expecting them to. It turned into a favorable situation for Mishi because Khadija got to realize that Humna & Haider don’t see the truth in what Sikandar was saying & also, Mishi didn’t have to face the brunt for anything. I liked that Mishi & Haider spoke to each other & didn’t turn it into an issue of ego where no one was in a mood to break the ice. Haider told Mishi that she should come back & she agreed.

Finally, Jamal bid farewell to Sara & told her that he won’t be in contact with her. I really find it hard to relate to Sara’s character at times because she is a grown up woman, but to see her acting like a teenager doesn’t make sense at times. She is still a hopeless romantic in search of love & she doesn’t realize that her disturbed emotions take a toll on her daughters too. Looks like apart from Sofie & Mishail, Sara has another daughter too named Manal, not sure if she will make an appearance or not though, but I wouldn’t mind if she does.

I enjoyed the scenes of Wahab, Sofie, Haider & Mishail. It was good to see Haider taking a role of a family member & doing what family members do for each other in such difficult situations by extending an emotional support. Mishail & Haider shared a conversation & for the first time, Haider got an insight into what Mishi has gone through all her life because of a mother like Sara. I liked the way Haider didn’t cross the line yet he didn’t let Sara belittle him, he kept on giving back to her & that somehow broke the ice & made it look like they will form a relationship in the near future. Right now, Sara might not be in a mood to see the good in Haider but I am sure she won’t be able to keep up her opinion against him for long.

On Saba’s front, her mother is tired of her & she is looking for proposals. Saba is definitely not in the mood but despite everything that she has done, I like that she sympathizes with her brother & Humna too, she does understand that Humna wasn’t at fault & both Qadeer & Humna are being punished for the wrong no one did. Saba has seen that Mishi is a good person, that is why all the things she said to Qadeer showed that her opinion has changed & may be I hope she convinces her mother & father too that Mishi is a good person & pushes them to allow Qadeer to get married to Humna.

Overall, this episode was good but I hope the shift the focus on Mishi & Haider & their careers again. Everyone has acted brilliantly in this drama but I must say Malik Raza is phenomenal as Wahab, his timing is perfect & all the actors have matched his timing flawlessly too. The chemistry between all the actors & characters has elevated the level of this drama & has made it a treat to tune to. Please share your thoughts about this episode of Besharam. :)

Besharam – Episode 11!

Ohkay so, this episode of Besharam was amaaaaaazing. I loved the note at which it began & like I always say, the note at which it ended left me looking forward to what is yet to come. I am really glad that the writer came up with such a brilliant script but what makes me even happier is the way the director has executed it. Everything in this drama, be it dialogues, acting, scenes, characters, situations, direction & editing is on-point & you just can’t fault it.

Haider actually has started expecting more from Mishail, that is why when she showed up a bit late, he was disappointed. It’s not that he wants her to serve him but it was just a longing that he felt for her presence around him. I love how they both come clean in every single situation, Mishail didn’t think twice before telling him the truth that she wanted to come earlier but it was his mother who didn’t allow that to happen & also she told him about what she heard his mother saying. Haider knows that Mishi is putting up with a lot & for that, he feels thankful & burdened at the same time too because he knows that Mishi doesn’t deserve this but the way she copes up with everything actually shows her determination of making this marriage work.

Haider heard when Mishail spoke to her mother on the phone, that is why, that conversation forced him to say what he didn’t want to. Despite all the efforts that Mishi is making, Haider feels that she is not made for this & he doesn’t understand why she is settling for the life Haider has offered her so far, that is why after thinking things through, he told Mishail to return to her home, her lifestyle where things won’t be so hard on her. The way the writer has developed the understanding between these characters is amazing, it’s like even though they both don’t really talk much, they know exactly what their shortcomings are & what the other person might be feeling or going through because of that.

I am glad that Mishail showed up at the right time & rescued Saba from the evil intentions of that photographer but what made me furious was the way Saba lied in front of her father to save her sorry being. I knew she will stir some trouble for Mishail & that is going to happen now because Sikandar will barge into Khadija’s home with a bag full of accusations on Mishail for being a bad influence on his daughter. If only parents of girls like these would think of taming their own spoiled children before being judgmental about others & blaming them too. I really hope when Sikandar shows up, Mishail is present at that point but I think Mishail will be with her mother & sadly, Sikandar will get to spew the venom against her.

It is actually nice to see how Humna has started showing acceptance towards Mishail & not only that, she has also started acknowledging the fact that Mishail is now their family member & she is Haider’s wife. I know Khadija does sound unreasonable at times but it is good how she often notices the gestures that Mishail does, it makes her reactions seem natural & I am sure it won’t be too long when she will wholeheartedly accept Mishail as a part of her family. I liked how despite knowing that Khadija didn’t want Mishail to be in the hospital, Mishail took charge of the situation, arranged a ride for Humna & Khadija & also decided to stay back with Haider, it would’ve made Khadija realize that Mishail is serious about this relationship & she is not mucking around!

Sophie & Sara’s scenes were fillers & I most certainly don’t mind that but I was surprised when Mishail decided to show up at Sara’s place & not only that, she agreed for an overnight stay too, especially when she knew that Haider might need her. I think this was the time when Mishail should’ve been with Haider as they both could’ve put this time to good use to understand each other even better but not sure how Haider will react to this. It was actually quite nice to see how Haider was regretting what he said to Mishail about leaving & he also knew that if he keeps on insisting, she might actually leave!!!

Overall, this episode was amazing & I am definitely looking forward to more. I must say, Saba Qamar looks absolutely pretty & it is good to see how she has polished herself over these years. I think the makeup artists have done a wonderful job too where they glam her up but keep her look a tad bit natural too. I must say what I love the most about this drama is the way the relationship of Mishail & Haider is developing. All these years when I watched the dramas & saw misunderstandings developing between the couples due to communication gap, I would always think why the characters don’t convey their feelings & cover the events in their words properly, so, I am relieved to see that Mishail & Haider have everything apart from communication gap which is a bonus. I actually feel a sense of relief when I see both of them conversing with each other with honesty & clarity, because it doesn’t leave a room for a misunderstanding to develop. I thank the writer for giving us such amazing characters that are all about honesty & make the straight-forward people look good! Also, I must will thank the director for adding that touch of reality in all the situations because it makes us connect to everything immediately, like the comment that Sikandar passed about Shakira wearing a Lehanga on her way to hospital & also the way Haider looked at Muneer trying to tell him that he only wanted to be with Mishail, these little things somehow complete the situations & make them seem very real, which I love. Anyways, please share your thoughts about this amazing episode of Besharam. :)

Besharam – Episode 10!

Ohkay so, this episode of Besharam, like all the previous episodes was quite interesting too. Finally, we got to see how Haider & Mishal started to behave like normal couples & started to have normal conversations with each other & we were also told what sort of feelings Haider has for Mishal & how Mishal has started to see the positivity in Haider’s attitude, which made me smile throughout this episode because everything related to this duo was amazing & sweet.

Zaman Amir finally told the reasons why he came in contact with Haider. He wanted Haider to divorce Mishal so that the CM could get married to her because according to them, Haider wasn’t suitable for Mishal as he didn’t have to the social status that Mishal had. Haider might not have confessed yet but his possessiveness for Mishal sheds a light on the intense love he feels for his wife, that is why despite telling Zaman Amir off sternly with finality, he was finding it hard to absorb everything that he heard. Before getting married to Mishal, Haider never ever imagined that their marriage would attract such people too where they will test his patience so badly.

It was good to see Mishal taking interest in the family matters of Haider & trying to help the situation. The moment Haider approached Mishal was when I thought that he will tell her off again but it was good to see that he gave Mishal a chance to speak & share her say too. Haider knows that Mishal is opinionated & rightly so, that is why he doesn’t mind her sharing her thoughts but yes, right now he does understand that his mother hasn’t shown a full fledged acceptance to Mishal that is why he told her to not speak about Humna & Qadeer’s scenario as Khadija is quite sensitive about that topic, which was quite wise of Haider I believe.

Haider has started to understand that his wife has some needs too & even though she is independent, doesn’t mean that he can relax & let her fend for herself. The promise that Haider made to Mishal about fulfilling all the duties & responsibilities he had towards her as a husband was actually quite sweet & that is why, Mishal started to see the niceness in him & she has started to develop a faith that her decision of marrying Haider wasn’t wrong. It is actually quite nice that even though most of the time it is Haider who does the talking & gives instructions to Mishal, but when she speaks up for herself, he allows her to speak & doesn’t cut her words short. It actually shows how Haider also knows where to draw a line by understanding that a girl like Mishal will have an opinion & she is allowed to speak up too.

The highlight of this entire episode for me was the conversation that Haider had with Khadija where he tried to make her understand how she can bring a change she wants to see in Mishal by being patient & soft-spoken with her, & that too when Mishal could hear everything that her husband was saying about her to his mother. It was an absolute treat & yes, we need more husbands like Haider in our dramas who know how to maintain a balance between their mothers & wives & who can be authoritative while also knowing how to be accommodating as well. I was actually quite happy to know that Mishal heard everything that Haider said because she knows that she’s already putting in a lot of effort, but finally she got to know that Haider acknowledges everything & doesn’t mind giving her the time she needs to adjust to his lifestyle completely. That was an awww wala moment!!!

Well, sadly, Haider’s refusal landed himself in deep trouble & looks like the CM sent his goons to teach Haider a lesson. Everyone found out & it was sad to know that Khajida once again blamed Mishal for everything. I wish Haider’s friend in stead of only taking Mishal’s name had told the complete story of what Zaman Amir said about CM’s intentions of marrying Mishal, at least that way Khadija would’ve understood that Haider took a stand for his wife so then she wouldn’t have blamed Mishal unnecessarily.

Ummm, not much thrilled about Saba & her scenes though but I am afraid that everything that she’ll do will only bring a bad name to Mishal because Saba’s family will straight away accuse her of being a bad influence on Saba & it won’t take everyone much time to judge Mishal because everyone has seen how Saba has been spending so much time with her. Everything that happened on Sara’s side wasn’t interesting as well. Sara’s now coming across as a spoiled brat who thinks she can rule anyone & everyone, but it is good to know that Mishal isn’t going to fall prey to her tactics. Mishal knows that the only thing that Sara’s concerned about is money, so she gave her what she wanted. It was good to know that at least Sofia had some compassion for her younger sister but she is helpless too as she can not overrule her mother’s orders & can’t stand up for the right like Mishal used to. The tiff between Wahab & Haider was done nicely too, Wahab is funny & what not but he was actually crossing the line & it was good to see that Haider set him straight. I hope Wahab doesn’t take everything seriously & doesn’t turn it into an ego issue because then he will also push Sara’s agenda of parting Mishal with Haider, which will make his character look negative & I don’t want that to happen.

Overall, this episode was quite interesting. I can’t wait for the next episode already. It is so amazing that 10 episodes have gone by & our interest is further developing in the story because each & every episode leaves us asking for more. All the actors have done a brilliant job & I love Saba Qamar’s candidness as Mishal. Zahid Ahmed is phenomenal as Haider as well & to see them both together in such brilliant roles is a treat in itself. Please share your thoughts about this episode of Besharam.

Besharam – Episode 09!

Ohkay so, this episode of Besharam took the story forward & showed a tinsy bit of progress in the story. I must say, I am totally hooked to this show & this is the only drama that I look forward to every week. I love how the personalities of all the characters have been established & each one of them stands apart in their own certain way. However, I wish to see some more scenes of Haider & Mishi together & I want to see them working together to strengthen their relationship with each other.

As much as the character of Saba is interesting, I think she is getting a tad bit more coverage than she deserves. The entire scene of Saba trying to become a part of Mishi’s group seemed unnecessary but yes, one thing that disappointed me was the way Saba first lied to Mishi & then to her mother. I actually thought that Saba was naive, straight forward & adorable but the face that we saw of hers this time around suggested the opposite. It was understandable that she gave those details to her mother in a hope of bagging some suits that she was eyeing, which was realistic & amusing but there was no need for her to say one thing to Mishal & use the same things against her in front of her mother because she had no reasons to do that.

Qadeer finally decided to make a move & call Humna because just like her, even he is finding it hard to move on & he isn’t happy with his parent’s decision. I loved the consistency in Humna’s attitude & character because she first got introduced as someone who wasn’t afraid of putting forth her opinion but in a very respectable manner, that is why even now when Qadeer tried to play a blame game with her, she politely refused to accept that & told him that she wasn’t responsible for what Haider did & the one who was at the wrong side of the fence was Qadeer & not Humna. I liked how she didn’t think twice before making Qadeer realize that he was a weak person who couldn’t stand by her side when things got rough.

As much as I love watching Haider & Mishal’s scenes & as much as I love how Mishal reacts to Haider’s instructions, I wish to see a bit more development in their track where in stead of seeing Haider conveying do’s & don’t to Mishi, he actually talks to her & has a conversation with her over different things, because that will be quite interesting & it will be a perfect way to show a development in their relationship, as so far all we have seen Haider doing is either conveying a message of his mother to Mishal or telling her what she should & shouldn’t do in his house as his wife. It is amazing to see that Mishal is putting up with everything & she is giving Haider, his mind-set, his values & his family a fair bit of chance. It is good to see Mishal being a woman of her word & sticking by the promise she made to Haider. Everything about their scenes & relation is perfect but I need some more meaningful conversations, please.

Haider has finally understood that he has lost his chance in Asfand Sultan’s party that’s why he decided to start from the scratch, which was interesting. It is good to know that Haider believes in self-reliance & is independent enough to make decisions for himself. Haider is an optimistic person that is why the moment one door closed, he started searching for a way to open another door for him in politics. I like how they haven’t made Haider’s career a smooth sailing & a lot of challenges are thrown in which make his journey a lot more realistic. Haider’s exclusion from Asfand’s party has attracted a lot of attention & that’s why Zaman Amir showed up with a plan which was all about using Haider against Asfand’s party. I am sure Haider will not budge & will not accept this offer but it will force him to think & come up with a better plan.

Wahab didn’t get much coverage in this episode but he added life to the one scene that he got. It is hilarious how he puts up with his wife & her tantrums whereas he isn’t oblivious of the fact that he deserves someone who will love him & accept him for the way he is. Wahab’s lecture to the maid was quite interesting, just because he made her refer to him as Wahab Sahab was enough for him to believe that he bossed around at least one person, which was enough of a validation for a man like him who hardly gets any respect from his own family, lol. Sara is thinking about parting Mishi & Haider & I am sure she will devise a plan with the help of Wahab. I wish Jamal keeps her occupied enough that she doesn’t get the time to ruin Mishal & Haider’s relationship & marital life.

Overall, this episode was quite nice & I enjoyed watching it. All the actors are doing such a fine job & the director & the editor deserve a huge round of applause for such a perfect execution of such a brilliant script. I must say I love the OST, it is quite soothing & is being used at the right time. I am loving the fact that this story is all about two strong individuals who’re trying to compromise & understand each other, which is quite refreshing to see. Besharam – Episode 08!

Ohkay so, this episode of Besharam didn’t offer much but it did take the story forward a bit in terms of characters & the changes they are going through & have started to feel in their perspectives. I am so glad that I tuned to this drama because it has a set of strong characters that know how to deal with the pressures in a best way possible & that makes it a very interesting watch.

I loved how Haider tried to convince his mother that Mishi will do everything to please her while looking at his wife with an expression that she should understand & put up an act in front of Khadija. Mishi agreed that she’d say no to modelling only because she wanted to give respect to Haider as he has initiated this aspect in their marriage where he believes in giving Mishi the respect she deserves & Mishi decided to reciprocate that gesture too. The glances that they both shared were so amusing which once again showed the level of understanding both Mishal & Haider have started to develop with each other. Mishal did however confess that she only agreed to the no modelling notion because she didn’t want to let Haider down in front of his mother which was quite considerate of her. It is actually quite nice to see how Mishal has slowly & steadily started to understand that this relationship means something & it deserves the utmost attention & care because they both have made a promise & now it is their duty to nurture it. I found it actually quite sweet that just as much Mishal was trying to compromise, Haider was doing his best to compromise too in order to make Mishal feel comfortable, accommodated & a part of his life & family.

The bits & bobs of Wahab were actually a treat to watch. I know Sofia didn’t laugh at his joke but I most certainly did. He says he is ready to solve their problems but little does he know that he is only adding more fuel to the fire. Wahab changed his stance quickly because he knew that he won’t be able to deal with the wrath of Saasu Ma & Sofie Jaan, that is why he suggested creating problems & misunderstandings between Haider & Mishal to bring Mishal back to their home. It was actually quite funny to see him trying to please everyone where he met Haider wholeheartedly & praised him in order to make Mishal happy & now behind her back, he was saying things that he knew would make Saasu Ma & Sofie Jaan happy too. His comment about becoming 4th Abba of Sofie was hilarious, he may sound or look stupid but even he has read this family quite well & he knows that Sara would do anything for money. Wahab did however say the truth that just because Mishal was a ‘sonay ki chiriya’ Sara was infuriated at her daughter as he knows that his Saasu Ma depended heavily on Mishal & her earnings. It is quite interesting to see Wahab being shown as someone who looks stupid on the surface but has quite an insight. :D

I wish Shakira & Saba didn’t get that much of coverage because their scenes ended up looking like fillers & I wish that screen-time was given to Haider’s political career but never mind, at least they did find out that Haider has brought Mishal back to his home & they both are giving this marriage a chance, which was a reality check that Shakira needed to know that Haider & his family are done following their orders. I was actually dreading seeing Khadija turning into a typical mother in law but I am glad that she has the forgiving bone in her body where when she will see how hard Mishal is trying to gel in their lifestyle, she will accept her & forget how she initially entered their lives. Even though Khadija’s tone was harsh but I liked how she reminded Haider of his responsibilities that he had towards Mishal, where she told him to go out & make some money because he now had a wife to take care of too.

I enjoyed watching the scenes of Mishal & Haider the most where they both were trying to find truce & set limits for each other, where Mishal told him that she is not used to sharing a room with anyone & Haider told her that he wants her to make breakfast for him. The thing he said about respecting Mishal was actually quite sweet, it left Mishal speechless & forced her to agree that she can make tea for him. Saba Qamar & Zahid Ahmed both acted brilliantly in those scenes because the amusement of Haider & irritation of Mishal was portrayed perfectly. I wish Haider’s political career hadn’t come to a halt, I thought Asfand Sultan will be able to differentiate between Haider’s personal & professional life but he is still concerned that just because Haider got married at a live show, people will point fingers at him which will also mean that people will question Asfand Sultan’s choices as a leader of his political party. I hope Haider finds a way back into politics because that is something he is passionate about.

Overall, I had a great time watching this episode & as the episodes are passing by, this drama is turning out to be my favorite & something that I actually look forward to the entire week. Saba Qamar looked beautiful & I loved the chemistry that she & Zahid Ahmed have as Mishal & Haider. The rest of the cast is doing a great job too & it feels that the director has made sure that the actors put a lot of hard work in establishing the relationships between the characters because it shows & completes the entire picture & last but not the least, I thank Malik Raza for portraying the character of Wahab so brilliantly on screen, he is also becoming one of the characters whose scenes I look forward to actually. :) Please share your thoughts about this episode of Besharam.
