On Wednesday the Supreme Court of Pakistan took notice of “objectionable content” being shared on YouTube. The top court also hinted at shutting down YouTube in Pakistan and issued notices to the Attorney General of Pakistan and the Foreign Ministry.

It was during the hearing of a case against suspect Shaukat Ali, involved in a sectarian crime that Justice Qazi Muhammad Amin and Justice Mushir Alam stated that YouTube and social media users were targeting our their families after certain decisions by the court. It was also said that masses were provoked against judiciary and other state institutions of the country through objectionable content on YouTube.

Alright the court hinted at a Youtube ban and the hearing was adjourned for an indefinite period of time, Pakistanis celebrities came out voicing their concerns regarding an impending ban on the world’s biggest video platform.

Dania Malik was the third wife of popular host Dr Aamir Liaquat Hussain who came into news after coming into his life, she married to Dr. Aamir liaquat a few months ago. Soon after marrying Dr Aamir Liaquat, Dania filed for divorce. In this situation, both parties hurled grime on each other through words but Dania went one step ahead and leaked a few private images and videos of Dr Aamir Liaquat Hussain after which he went into deep depression and left all his friends and hid himself at his native house where he eventually died.

After his sad and tragic death, Dania kept on coming back and saying that she was thinking to reconcile with Dr Aamir Liaquat. Now, her mother claimed that Dr Aamir Liaquat’s property belongs to Dania Malik.

All these developments are unbearable for public and celebrities. Only a few celebrities are vocal about it. Humaima Malick, Feroze Khan, Mohisn Abbas, Ahmed Ali Butt and many are repetitively talking on the issue. JDC’s CEO Zafar Abbas also talked on it. Anchor Salman Mirza has also posted a vlog in which he talked against Dania. Sahir Lodhi, Waseem Badami, Ushna Shah, Faysal Quraishi and many others are in grief.

Humaima Malick is one of the most vocal celebrities. She said that she wanted to ask a few questions from government and authorities.

1- in Pakistan,cyber crime laws have been formulated, have they been implemented?
2- Have any punishments been defined as per such laws?
3- Aurat March Clan lays an importance on Ladies’ rights, do we have any rights for humans in this society.

4- Whatever has happened to Dr Aamir Liaquat Hussain, had it been done to a B or C class lady, the whole country would have come out in the streets (when anything happens with a woman, whole society comes out for her).

5- Isn’t it a worst form of cruelty that happened to Dr Aamir Liaquat Hussain, was it justified that a person shared all his private things while she was in a pious relationship with him.

6- Has any institution questioned those culprits, why have they done that?

7 – Has anyone raised this voice or one has to loose his life in order to be proven innocent.

She further gave example and said that we live in a society where everyone speak for women but don’t talk when anyone does injustice to men. Here is what she said.

Ahmed Ali Butt called out the statement given by Dania’s mother which says, “Dr Aamir Liaquat claimed that whatever he has, belongs to Dania”. To this statement, Ahmed Ali Butt said, “Unfortunately the vultures are circling”. He wrote it on the picture of Dania’s mother’s statement.

Actor Mohsin Abbas Haider once again spoken on the issue and said that he was a man and that’s why no one bothered the crime she committed, no one held that girl accountable, had it been done by a man, the ‘Aurat March’ clan would have protested on the roads for the woman.

News analyst and host Salman Mirza said that one can easily judge Dania by her cruel act, soon after the death of host, his so called wife Dania came up with her fake condolences in a well maintained getup and started paving ways to get her share in the economy. He blatantly called out the act of Dania Shah / Malik.

JDC’s CEO Zafar Iqbal said that he has a clear stance that the one who has leaked the (nude) videos or pictures has the responsibility of putting Dr. Aamir Liaquat’s life at stake and this is not the way to do it. It is to be remembered that Dania Malik, despite being in Nikkah of the host, leaked a private video of televangelist after which he left meeting people and cut all of his contacts. Khalil-ur-Rehman is a renowned writer and director. In a recent interview, he shared his views about women. He talked about how he considers those women as pious who are loyal to their husbands or else they are not women. He kept on sharing his misogynistic views and said women should rape men if they want equality.

His interview sparked great controversy and many people condemned his views. People even questioned ‘how can such a man write dramas for us which is absolutely cancer for our society.’

Pakistan is not having a great time in the World Cup and we have seen the team perform not so consistently which has disappointed many but the spirit is still strong. The movie which has already dragged a considerable audience before a month of its release, will soon be making its way to the cinemas this eid. ‘Main hoon Shahid Afridi’ is an upcoming movie which is based on the life of Shahid Afridi,revolving around the life of pitch and the fact that how difficult it normally is for the newcomers to achieve their dreams. Been produced by Humayun Saeed and Shahzad Nasib under the banner of Six Sigma, the movie is directed by Syed Ali Raza.  It was only last Sunday, that is July  7th 2013, that Atrium mall held a dedicated session where a press conference was held regarding this upcoming movie. The conference was attended by a large number of celebrities who made their appearance showing their dedication towards the team of ‘Main hun Shahid Afridi’.

The event was covered by almost all channels and newspapers where Dawn news even published a detailed column about the ceremony. Here are a few words from the share:

“Main Hoon Shahid Afridi” is about an underdog youngster (Noman Habib) who dreams of becoming the next Shahid Afridi, and his improvised rag-tag team, as they take on undefeated well-heeled rivals and behind the scenes politics of regional cricket. Leading the team is Akbar Deen (Mr. Saeed), an ex-cricketer still suffering from a professionally damaged past.

Apart from Mr. Saeed, the film stars Nadeem Baig, Javed Sheikh, Mahnoor Baloch, Noman Habib, Shahzad Sheikh, Ismail Tara, Shafqat Cheema, Humza Ali Abbasi, Gohar Rasheed and Ainy Jaffry, with cameos by Faisal Qureishi, Aijaz Aslam, and cricketers Sikandar Bux and, of course, Shahid Afridi.

Several variations of the movie’s theatrical trailer, including a few songs (two of which we were told are directed by Suhail Javed and Saqib Malik), were interjected between the introductions hosted by Vasay Chaudhry, who is also the film’s writer.

Speaking at the event were Nadeem Mandviwalla, of Mandviwalla Entertainment, actors Mr. Baig and Mr. Sheikh – each recalling different perspectives of Pakistani cinema’s recent history, the dire need and expansion of the multiplexes and emergence of a new generation of filmmakers.

Jarjees Seja, CEO of ARY Films, by karmic coincidence recollected the television network’s long association with Mr. Saeed, whose every “first” endeavor they have been a part of. Mr. Saeed, the center of the project, though was the first to bow out with a short introduction, saying that he “isn’t that good of a public speaker”.

The real stars at the podium however, were host Mr. Chaudhry, Mr. Tara (in his glibbest), and Mr. Cheema at his self-congratulating best.

The film is set to release on Eid-ul-Fitr, amongst other local titles and a pre-dictated absence of international releases.

 

It is, therefore, expected that the movie will be doing a good business all over the country where Shahid Afiridi’s label attached to the venture will play a vital role.

Directed by Qasim Ali Mureed and produced by Urwa Hocane, Jerjees Seja and Salman Iqbal, Tich Button is slated for release on Eid ul Fitr 2020. The film stars Farhan Saeed, Feroze Khan, Sonya Hussyn and Iman Aly in lead roles and is already being highly anticipated by the audience owing to its colorful and interesting teaser.

Junaid Jamshed was attacked by a person who has been identified now when he was at the Islamabad airport. There were other people with him who chanted slogans in which they said that Junaid Jamshed should be killed because he had said all those things against Hazrat Ayesha. Junaid Jamshed was very disturbed afer this sad incident and he expressed his feeling through a tweet.

Fathers are a blessing who cannot be replaced by anything else in the world. 14th February marks Valentine’s Day around the world; a day when everyone in the world celebrates love, especially with their significant others, their partners.

However, offering an alternative, leading online publication, Something Haute, questioned Pakistani celebrities about celebrating Valentine’s Day with someone other than their partners and our celebrities gave a variety of answers.

Check out how, Ayesha Omar, Ahsan Khan and Shaniera Akram amongst others would love to celebrate their Valentine’s Day, if not with their partners.

Ayesha Omar said she would love to spend her Valentine’s Day with her mother and close friends, thanking them for their unconditional support.

Shaniera Akram shared that it had to be Wasim Akram for her because the couple has usually been apart on Valentine’s Day ever since their marriage. Shaniera also added that if there would be anyone else than Wasim, it would be her best friend from Australia, Brooke.

For Emaad Irfani, it has to be his son Zaviyar, about whom Emaad says he can understand his silence as well.

Mansha Pasha would love to hang out with her sister Hannah on Valentine’s Day and dress up in pink while they roam around for lunch and watch a movie together.

Ahsan Khan added that he would love to spend his Valentine’s Day with his parents as he considers them his real blessings.

Pakistan is home and home is where Eid is. Pretty straightforward.. but throw in work commitments, appearances, promotions and shoots, and you cannot always be home for eid. Such is celebrity life but that doesn’t mean they don’t miss their families and hometowns. So they have spoked to HIP online magazine  about how it feels on Eid when they are away from Pakistan.

Bilal Ashraf misses going to Eid prayers with his father the most

Last year, he was not with his loved ones to share the joys of Eid. This is how he explains the experience,

I was actually promoting Janaan. I think I was either in Dubai or London and even though it was amazing internationally representing our cinema, Eid was just not complete,” I think spending quality time with one’s friends and family and above all, offering the Eid prayers with my father early morning is what made me feel so alone. I think all of this is simply irreplaceable.”

Sanam Saeed believes you can enjoy Eid anywhere with the right ingredients 

“Work is work and Eid is Eid. And I feel if there’s sheer khorma, new clothes and Eid Mubaraks (wishes), it makes no difference,” the actress tells HIP, who celebrated Eid up-north two years ago, shooting for Diyar-e-Dil. “When you’re not at home, your work-family becomes your family and I think it isn’t too bad celebrating Eid with people who care for you.”

Madiha Imam thinks everyone goes out of their way to please you on Eid when you are working away

“Last year only, I was in India shooting for my film, Dear Maya in India. It was slightly off since I wasn’t with my family and actually working, but my team was kind enough to make me feel at home and brought a cake for my on the sets,” Imam revealed. “And once I was actually shooting in Thailand on Eid as well, so I have had such experiences and I can honestly say that it doesn’t feel like Eid at all.”

Junaid Khan does not think anything can ever compensate not being with family on Eid 

“I try my best to celebrate Eid in Lahore with my family. But if I am away for some reason, everything feels really empty,” Junaid shares. “I think the whole point of Eid is to be with one’s loved ones and share the festivities with them. You really miss out on all these personal, family rituals.”

Mohsin Abbas Haider is thankful that now he can afford to go home whether it’s Eid or not 

“Well I try to avoid that now, but when I was struggling, I’d spend my entire Eid in my room in Karachi. I wouldn’t have enough money to buy myself a ticket to Faisalabad where my family would be,” Haider opened up about his inspiring journey. “It was really upsetting for the most obvious of reasons, but later when I would have enjoy money to travel, I would often surprise my family. The joy I saw in my mother and sisters’ eyes is simply priceless.”

Eid Milad-Un-Nabi, also known as Mawlid and Eid-e-Milad is the day dedicated to the teachings of Prophet Mohammad and is celebrated across the country. The occasion is believed to be the birthday of the prophet Mohammad (P.B.U.H).

The prophet was born on the twelfth day of Rabee-ul-Awwal (third month of the Islamic lunar calendar) in Mecca in 570 CE, and this day is marked as a national holiday in many countries with Muslim population. Muslim celebrated this day with high spirits. Houses, streets and markets are decorated with lights, Milads are arranges in houses and food is distributed among people.

He was also part of the Australia team that won the World Cup in 1987, beating England in a thrilling final. In his 164 one-day internationals, Jones averaged 44.61. He is perhaps best remembered for his innings of 210 in the tied match between Australia and India in 1986.
