Today Jang group has published a formal apology in their Urdu Daily Jang.  Being  a forum where point of view of all parties in a matter is presented, the apology published in today’s Jang paper is added here to post the Jang/Geo’s stance.

The matter is also in courts and under consideration by PEMRA the regulatory authority to see the affairs of channels.

Urdu writer Anwar Maqsood, who has given us some super hit theatre productions in recent times (Pawney 14 August, Sawa 14 August, Siachen) is gearing up to write two films this year. He recently revealed that one of the scripts he’s currently working on is for a film that will be made by well known businessman, Asim Jofa.

When Instep contacted Jofa to confirm the news and find out about the film, he responded in the affirmative.

“Yes, I’m making a film and Anwar sahab is writing it.”

However he refrained from revealing any details regarding the film and said that he wants to keep it under wraps at the moment, given the uncertainty of events in the country.

“I don’t want to disclose it right now as I’m not sure how things turn out to be,” Jofa shared. “I can just tell you that Anwar sahab is writing the first film of his life for me and you’ll love it. It’s going to be a masterpiece.”

It was a dream fairy tale debut for Anwar Ali, making headlines every where but life has not been so kind to him always. Anwar belongs from a troubled and impoverished area of Karachi – Orangi Town. His father passed away when he was quite young, due to which he has to work at young age to share the burden of house. He used to press socks in a factory at that time. Anwar told, he used to earn 200 daily at that time which was insufficient for his family. His mother cannot even spare Rs 50 for him. But still he managed to spare time for his passion the game of cricket.

Anwar’s dream came true when he was selected for trials of Under-19 team of Zone 5. He told, on the demand for regular practice I informed the coach that I do double job so its not possible for me. On that coach Azam Khan and Zafar Ahmed agreed to pay me 4600 rupees monthly and he never turned back afterwards. His consistent performance at zonal and regional level earned him a spot in national under-19. In final of World Under-19 Cup in 2006, his five wickets helped Pakistan to be champion.
