Award Shows Really Don’t Matter To Me ,Azfar Rehman

0

Azfar Rehman recently appeared in Ahsan Khan’s show Bol Nights along with Sadaf Kanwal. On a question related to Award shows Ahsan Khan Asked, “do awards really matter or change the game of actor?”. Azfar said, “to me, awards really do not matter as I have always been nominated for my hit dramas like I was nominated for Nazar e bad but I didn’t go to Toronto and in LSA 2019 I was supposed to do hosting alongside Mehwish Hayat but on the last moment I refused.
Screenshot 20190907 032446
He said that ” I am a party person, I would rather go to a friend’s party comfortably instead of attending award show sitting in a stiff manner and asking the one closest buddies Hey what’s up? In a pretentious tone. He said knowing the reality of those people in real, I can’t sit in pretense in such shows as I am who I am.
Screenshot 20190907 032457
He said most of the people are fake in such shows whereas in reality they just say to others like
“Oye chaey laao ” and in formal gatherings, they are simply different people.
Screenshot 20190907 032426

He elaborated the whole award shows in a comic way and Ahsan was laughing hard at his satire, also once in same show Faysal Quraishi has opened up about hypocrisy of award shows where ” fresh of the boats ” sit in front rows and the veteran and senior actors sit in third and fourth row. He said I and Humayun have sat at the back.
Screenshot 20190907 025519
So yes, we agree that nowadays awards are hyped and overrated but it is actually the talent that breaks all the ratings and Azfar’s Aatish proved to be hit.

Auss, new drama by PTV Home

Pakistan television is the state run television network funded by tax payers money. Like other government run agencies financial condition of PTV is quite bad despite recieving billions in the name of PTV License Fee every year. Despite huge staff, equipment and buildings the news channels of PTV are worst when it comes to credibility. The production quality of PTV’s news and current affair programs is at lowest as well.
PTV Home is the most watched terrestrial channel in Pakistan and it is a family entertainment channel. Despite the largest channel it is not much active on social media and seldom bothers to promote its programs which could result in further revenue. Perhaps this overstaffed institution doesn’t have any staff member to look into this aspect. The official page of PTV Home is not updated since August 2014.

However the most valueable effort by PTV is its regional channels like PTV National, PTV Bolan and Azad Jammu Kashmir Television. Despite having a huge army of directors who are full time employee of PTV enjoying all the perks available in a government institution, PTV seldom produces its own entertainment content mainly drama and relies on private productions.

AUSS (اوس) is one such drama being aired from 1st December 2014. Written by Wasi Shah, Sania Saeed, Faisal Qureshi, Babar Ali, Zainab Qayoom, Shamoon Abbassi are in the lead roles while it is shot on scenic locations of Murree.

Aur Kitna Intezaar?! – Episode 16

0

Ever been stuck in an infuriating board game where you take one step forward and then two backwards and despite the small movements, seems like you have been pretty much stuck in the same place forever? Same is the feeling I get watching Intezaar. Zoya has come back home and all is forgiven and forgotten apparently. Shariq asks Zoya’s parents for her hand in marriage and you would think they would say yes (remember we know of Saba’s existence, they do not) but throw in Naimat Chacha’s demand and Zoya refuses to marry Shariq – again. Next week’s preview shows that this obstacle is apparently dealt with and the path is clear for Shariq and Zoya – when another twist is thrown in.

I did not understand Zoya’s father’s hesitation over Shariq’s proposal. Zoya’s mother seemed to talk sense for the first time when she said Shariq had taken care of Zoya and been there for her when none of them had. On the face of it all, he does seem like the perfect ‘rishta’. However, he warms to the idea and speaks to his brother. Naimat’s reaction did not surprise me although the lengths this man is going to to keep his grandson in his home is not commendable in the least. Why was nobody able to point out to him that he could no way, by law, keep Sameer away from Zoya? I really wish we were not shown that Zoya is an educated and confident woman at the start for seems like Azmeer took all her intelligence with him to the grave! I understand shock, helplessness etc right after his death. Did not understand the inertia that was the stay at Shariq’s house. But I truly do not understand this mazloom helplessness. If she wants to marry Shariq – how can Naimat keep Sameer away from her? If she does not want to marry anyone at all then – why does she need to? Surely with her parents and Azmeer’s parents around to help with Sameer, she could go back to work and provide a life for herself and her son? Alas – Zoya’s mind does not seem to be headed in that direction at all!

Yeh ultay seedhay TV kay dramay na dekha karo, damaagh kharaab ho raha hai. Naila (the ever scheming Bhabhi – her name often skips me by) is truly one of those cunning bhabhis in our dramas and if it is the dramas that have made her that way then I am with Shahnawaz on this one, ha! Naila is beginning to get a taste of her own medicine. Her expressions are rather comical at times, such as when she eavesdrops on Shariq and Zoya’s conversation. Despite the whole suggestion being selfish and insane, for a fleeting moment I wondered whether Naimat wanted Shahnawaz to marry Zoya only to keep Sameer close or to finally have one point over Naila, LOL! A small part of me did feel great satisfaction to see Naila shocked and squirm. Naila demands that Shahnawaz divorce her if he marries Zoya – I did not see that coming! She is not wrong to want to have children but the tactless way she attacked Shahnawaz left a bad taste in my mouth. He has not agreed to marry Zoya and when a woman is unable to conceive, for a man to throw that in her face is in bad form and I felt that it should have been no different when the tables are turned. It just made Naila look worse at the end of that confrontation.

Saba was pretty much missing in today’s episode. Except for the scene when she is struggling to build a ‘home’ and is met with her mother in law’s disapproving stare at the end. What was she expecting anyway when she pressurized Shariq into this marriage? What were Mamu and Maami also expecting? That the nikkah would serve as a magic wand and all would be well? Oh well, I will not waste my breath on them in this review for Shariq seems to have forgotten about Saba for now while he continues to mope around about Zoya.

Naimat’s wife gives Naimat a much needed piece of her mind. What she said was so true – he has not changed. ‘Zabardasti kay rishtay khushiyan nahin laatay, khushiyon ka galla ghoat daitay hain’ and when she said she thought the grief of losing his own child would make him sensitive to other’s grief, it made me sad for her. She has always been a nice, reasonable woman and she only wants the best for Zoya. Her resentment and sorrow all came pouring out and the way she would bat away Shahnawaz showed how she had really been wanting to let it all out. Naimat’s expressions gave me the impression that her words have made some sense to him – I think. But we will have to wait and see.

pic2

The story has moved a bit away from Saba’s track focusing more on Shariq and Zoya. I think I watch this drama only because I started watching it and am curious to see how it ends and especially how Saba’s track is dealt with eventually. I am still struggling with understanding Saba’s mental state where she seems to be someone who acts her age generally except when she is given to moments when her past comes to haunt her and then there are moments when she seems like she possesses the mind of a 5 year old. The same goes for the dialogues – some conversations and dialogues make me pause and ponder but then like in today’s episode if I heard the phrase ‘pahaar jaisi zindagi’ one more time I thought I would go jump off a ‘pahaar’ myself!!

Shariq ki shaadi koi karwaaday please Zoya se. And poor Sameer – not once have I heard him cry, bawl or fidget and Zoya claims he has done her head in. Taubah! Is it just me or is anyone else curious what Shamsu is like? Also, is there anyone else besides myself who watches this show? Any thoughts on tonight’s episode? Would love to hear them!

Aunn Zara got immense popularity due to its light hearted romantic comedy and interesting story line.

Additionally Aunn Zara is currently airing on UK based Indian Channel “Lamhe” every Sunday. It is a very positive step indeed as our own dramas are now hitting Indian soil. Aunn Zara Episode 14 – Satyanaas.

So it was that ‘manhoos nashta’ that made Aunn’s imagination rolling & that’s how he got hold of stirring the trouble around in his home just because he saw Husna understand the misunderstanding & over-reacted on that. Whatever she felt was justified just because she didn’t think things through but unfortunately Aunn understood how he can distant Zara from the others.

I least expected to see Jamshed act so unreasonably. At one side he has shared how he feels for Nighat with his friend yet he just insulted Nighat which she didn’t deserve. Even though Jamshed was caught off-guard because of a sudden ring ceremony which was about to take place but his fault was trying to make it look like he hates his name being affiliated with ‘mohtarmma’ whereas completely denying that has given this relation a thought of possibility quite sometimes on his own. Where Daadi was ecstatic enough to show off her ‘chaar chaar angootiyaan’ to Daada Jaan, they all just didn’t see the chaos coming.

I must say Aunn has played his cards really well but the sad part is that everyone has started to take him seriously. Daadi, Husna & Zara, all three of them have fallen prey to his tactics. I think they were better off when they extended everything towards Aunn but the attention. Zara was wise enough to never follow his lead & because of that carelessness of hers, she rocked as a bahu all this while. But now when she has started to do what Aunn’s telling her to, she is in deep trouble & no one is ready to understand her.

Even though Zara did owe an explanation to the whole family & especially to Nighat for how she thought things through, she just couldn’t come to terms of understanding how the things went wrong. I laughed where at one scene Aunn was making fun of Zara hilariously and in the next he was fighting with his Daadi & mother like a ‘faffay kuttni’. Such a close knit family can scatter like that in a jiffy was actually heart-wrenching to see.

I think Aunn has tackled the situation very selfishly & he is taking all the wrong decisions. I though to myself that in normal situations it’s always the mother-in-law who creates issues between the couple because she hates sharing her son but here it’s the son who is creating hideous issues between his mother and his wife. But even during all the mayhem & even though Husna was hurt, she still managed to convey her feelings & honest advice to Zara with a kiss on her forehead, telling her that things will be alright and showing actually how dear Zara is to her.

Even Daadi who was hurt just because of the embarrassment Nighat had to face, she went back to being the old Daadi when Zara came to have a conversation with her, proving that she just can not ignore her grand-bahu. Zara is trying hard to undo the mess Aunn has created but I wonder how everyone will react once they’ll find that Aunn was the mastermind behind these uneasy situations. It was – after a long long time, refreshing to see females making peace & being considerate towards each other, even though Daadi & Husna did feel bad & betrayed because of Zara but still just couldn’t ignore her completely.

I loved the fact that even though from the outside, these things may look petty & not worth paying attention to, but those who are facing the situations tend to forget what others mean to them. They have highlighted the bitter reality in such a nice way because when the drama began I read the writer’s comment which stated that this story will not be all comical through out. I now understand that these things happen in real life just as shown because at one point where the whole family laughs at a dinner table, ends up not seeing each other’s faces due to some emotional turbulence. Right now it’s just so easy for Nighat to go & speak to Zara about how she conceived of such an idea but in stead she is choosing the otherwise. Similarly, Husna can talk things with Zara too but she thinks it’s better to ignore because she is getting hurt. Such are the minor issues that grow big over the years & hats off to the writer to show what smallest misunderstandings can lead to, in such a nice way. For sure, it is a reality check to those who don’t want to let go.

Anyways, Aunn thinks by doing all this he will be able to seclude Zara for himself but sadly for now he just can not see how depressed Zara is. I hate to see anything bad happening to this family, because we love them they way they are. I want Aunn to go through another round of ‘chappairs’ & ‘chittars’, because he for sure deserves all this. ;)

Aunn Zara Episode 13 – Attention Seeking Much?

0

At last, Husna brain-stormed a little more to get the meaning right of Zara’s subliminal messages & then Zara found herself at comfort to let the secret go in front of Husna. Loved how Husna has gotten more candid with Zara now, seems like she speaks to her ‘bahu’ by coming to her level so that she can connect well with her. Zara succeeded in convincing Husna about Nighat & Jamshed but the funny & usual thing is they both still have to know that their fates have been sealed.

Our ‘be-hidayata’  & ‘athra’ Aunn has finally understood what he wants & how he wants it. That is for sure that he is the attention seeker, I mean in a sense that he has always been showered with undivided attention that even when he finally got rid of everybody else’s attention, he has certainly started to have a million issues. He wants the attention his way. Is it just me or everyone else found him comical even when he was trying his best to show all the tantrums? He hates ‘bajray di laatthi’ & even the thought of it that Zara is dissing her ‘mahiya’. When Aunn bangs the door, Husna says ‘Aunn a gaya’, it shows how much everyone has gotten hold of his attitude but no one is bothered to pay attention to him because they’re too busy praising Zara.

The hell apparently broke loose when Daadi felt ‘ona de chattay tay kisi ne sua’a paa dita’. She was just not amused with the thought of Nighat getting in a relationship with Jamshed when her own daughters have grown taller till her shoulders. Obviously, what made it more funny is that Nighat herself doesn’t know anything about it, in fact she doesn’t even has a hint of any such feelings that Zara feels Jamshed has towards her. I loved Daadi’s ‘wawela’ & how she hid herself behind her see-through dupatta just so that she can protect herself from being embarrassed in front of Husna. I feel that bit was definitely something Daadi did on her own because it came out as so natural & looked like a perfect move at the spur of a moment. She is such a brilliant Punjabi daadi & I love her.

Aunn for sure has been thinking through the situation thoroughly & he feels there’s a dire need to steal Zara away from everyone so that he can actually get his marital life grooving. Even though Manzar dissed the ‘bhaandh’, Aunn is persistent & knows what he is doing because without any help & support, he has his plan ready. I feel everyone is underestimating Aunn’s intelligence & his trouble stirring prowess. The whole ‘Haw Haye’ scene at the table by Daadi was such an enjoyable one where Husna felt she was being targeting & things got out of Aunn’s hands just because Zara chose to stay silent. Aunn for sure is trying to snatch Zara away but then he is so considerate that he felt bad seeing Zara frowning because of her awkwardness. No matter what Zara does, Aunn will be Aunn for every single member of the family & that was proved just because he posed having a stomach ache & what topped his sympathy more was ‘chai mai biscuit dubo dubo k kha loonga’, I mean a married guy eating biscuits…Whoa! That’s a no no in front of everyone.

On Nighat & Jamshed situation only one quote fits well right now i-e ‘the funny thing about rumor is that you get to know things which you don’t even know about yourself’. That’s the case here with both of them, where they both were gone to meet their friends, Zara still found her ways to confirm things which Nighat didn’t know about because as per Husna ‘larka larki akele nahi hote, unke beech shaitaan hota hai’. Zara could have died of a stroke when she thought Nighat was at Jamshed’s place all alone but Nighat made things a bit more explanatory & too difficult for Zara to grasp when she sang ‘hum tum ek kamre mai band hon’. LOL!

Over all & as usual the episode was amazing & I am glad that Aunn just didn’t stoop to negativity which I thought he would. He is for sure getting furious day by day but still his character is too cute to feel bad about. I loved how he hid behind the pillow when he taunted Zara for not being a Cinderella. That was a perfect end to yet another perfect episode. I just can’t wait to see Nighat’s reaction when Daada Jaan would come asking for her proposal for Jamshed. :)

Aunn Zara Episode 12 – The Best One!

0

Not because of those tummy tickling humorous moments but because of some over whelming, heart to heart conversations between Husna & Zara, which broke the ice and showed how bitter a reality can be behind a smiling face, those fears which no one can relate to, this episode for me was the best one so far.

Didn’t know the episode that started at such a comical note would end leaving us absolutely gutted about the sufferings of Aun’s mother. Aun Zara just couldn’t imagine a little we-time of theirs would lead them to such a deep pit. The leader of the ‘Anti-Aun Gang’ Nighat showed up at exactly the right time when apparently Aun & Zara were in a fist fight. No one actually noticed Aunn lying on the ground too but all they could see was Zara’s frowning face. Where Daadi thought she had to be all ‘waari jawan’ on ‘peeli patak’  Zara, Zara just couldn’t relate how & exactly why the things were being blown out of proportion. During the course of the drama, Daadi always had some issues in bonding with Nighat but this time Daadi actually took a leap of faith blindly by depending on wherever would Daadi’s ‘Nigho’ lead her to. I actually loved how Daadi strengthen her bond with her partner-in-crime by calling her daughter Nigho. It was just so interesting how Nighat spoke about Jamshed’s feelings towards Zara, actually showing she knows & thinks a bit more about him & she actually is considerate towards his feelings.

Aunn who thought it was a high time for returning a favor to Manzar by getting him hooked with Zara’s friend, came up with a brilliant plan of a dual-date. Nighat has to be appreciated for always swooping in at the right time and taking the eavesdropping to another level. Husna who at first was hesitant later actually didn’t hold back & let Daadi & Nighat on the loose knowing whatever they intended & were upto meant saving the relation of Zara. Daadi had to insult the ‘talangri & mashoomri’  Shehna because of her she knew Aunn & her whole family was in ‘ishq da sayappa’

From restaurant to their home, from the clarification of the misunderstandings to Zara’s laughter fit, I felt the whole series of events were absolutely perfect not only in terms of acting but also in terms of timing, in terms of direction & everything else. No one could ever imagine the emotional & abusive drone attack Daadi & Nighat would open at their ‘iklota laadla, ankhon ka taara’ Aun. I must admit that I appreciate Daadi for her spontaneity & honesty because during all such chaos, she didn’t forget teaching Husna as to how she should slap Aunn, as Daadi actually outdone herself in all those ‘chands’ (slaps) she awarded Aunn with. I actually feel bad for what Shehna had to go through just because the poor thing fell into the trap set by Aunn for her marriage. I think this would be the last thing on anyone’s mind in regards to the marriage proposal. The funniest thing to me was that Manzar still had guts to propose her up front for the first time knowing but simply ignoring the humility she went through. The way Aunn was dragged to the home & how Zara took responsibility in telling what actually happened was spot on because I think a further delay about this confusion would make things a bit dragged.

I absolutely loved the intelligent choices of word which lead to some delicately well-knit confusions where Zara’s unspecific ‘unhain’  forced Husna to lead her think-tank to the wrong path. Zara who actually came to terms with Jamshed & Nighat’s love flick didn’t know on what lines Husna was taking her permission as. Jamshed handing over THE RING to Nighat & Zara arriving at the ‘moqa-e-wardaat’ made it just perfect. Loved that uncomfortable grin on Jamshed’s face because he knew what he was thinking but actually spoke the opposite. How Nighat’s daughters have become Zara’s look-alike to Jamshed speaks volume as to how much he wants ‘mohtarma & her rehmat’s’ to be a part of him now.

Last but not the least the way Husna yearned and convinced Zara in making a promise about never shattering & staying strong actually showed her fears & those years which she spent in negativity herself. It was absolutely heart-wrenching to see Husna relating to Zara & admitting why she became so possessive about Aunn because she didn’t want to fail in her upbringing as Aunn was her only asset. She just couldn’t tolerate Aunn failing her values which she taught him as a mother. For this very reason Husna apologized to Zara out of no where because she thought she just couldn’t make Aunn the man she wanted him to be & she hated seeing his father’s reflection in him. Zara has for sure earned the respect & love everyone extends towards her because she has given everything she had to her family & for this Husna has opened up those deep secrets which she carried with her all these years. During the first conversation I thought Husna was a victim of domestic violence but thank god Daadi made it clear in her spat with Aunn that at least his father never hit Husna. Phew!

Aunn’s deep thoughts gave a negative vibe for a moment. I think he will get into that state of mind where he will dislike everyone’s shift of attitude towards him because of Zara. I hope she doesn’t pay the price because every now & then it did occur to Aunn how everyone treated him differently than before, I think even though he wanted things to change & the attention of everyone towards him getting a notch lower, he still won’t be able to keep up with it as he is used to being the center of attention.

& finally a little in fact a louder shout out for the best acting of the best cast brought out by the best director for the sake of best writing piece from the best writer. I loved every single expression, every single ‘haye’ every single detail of this episode, hence, it was THE BEST EPISODE. PERIOD! :)

Aunn Zara Episode 11 – Assumptions In The Air.

0

So that was another exciting episode with so much happenings. So much has transpired & no one knows how wrong they have been in their assumptions.

Aunn Zara, finally have broken the ice & have fallen completely for each other. Zara has left her rigidness & has given Aunn the edge to shower her with his love. She doesn’t mind it finally & Aunn is over the moon. I must say the bond is shown beautifully, not only between Aunn & Zara but also among all the other family members.

Jamshed Sahab has melted a bit too much in regards to ‘mohtarmma’. Flowers, chocolates & a personal visit. I loved how easily he opened up a little bit in front of Nighat & shared how he wanted only to be Zara’s father all these years. It’s a right time now when Zara is happily married & way too well-settled in her life & family, Jamshed has gotten an empty space & a void in his heart which he must fill. Nighat is the right choice for sure because they are opposites hence, the attraction.

Through out the drama, no doubt they have not left even a single relation to brag about it’s positivity but here they have taken a friendship to another level as well. Even though Manzar lacks intelligence but what’s commendable is how readily he is always there for Aunn & similarly, I like Jamshed’s friend too. He is always poking him about Nighat & telling him to do the right thing. I think Jamshed needs that push from someone on whom he relies emotionally. Like when Dada Jaan spoke to him about ‘mohtarmma’, he easily denied & backed out so to ease him at this matter specifically, his friend is the right person.

Ohkay, Aunn frustration got exposed a bit too loudly in front of every single lady of the family. Daadi is always in jitters whenever he yells. Husna was disgusted & disturbed at what she saw & Nighat has her solid reasons to be all antsy at Aunn. By the way before talking about anything else, I loved how Zara’s hair looked after they both were in a fist fight & the moment Husna came, I for sure laughed out loud at that moment. The whole scene was epic & has become the threshold point for everyone to notice/hate/detest/negate/discuss Aunn & his behavior.

Where Zara is fluttering like a butterfly & Aunn is putting forward his feelings with ease, where they both are enjoying each other & their relation as a bliss, they both are unaware of what has instigated behind their backs. There’s this thing called ‘Communication Gap’ & the whole scenario is depicting it like anything. I loved the scene where Aunn had to listen to each & every one’s frustration & had to go through rounds of ‘beizzati’. Loved the dialogues & how intelligently the confusion has been put together. It’s too good.

I absolutely enjoyed the whole episode like always but the best scene for me was that at a table where all the ladies were united & stood against Aunn & degraded him just because he hates ‘allu’. Mentioning that don’t hold yourself too high as you are one of Zara’s choices was such a cute notion discussed by Nighat. I loved the originality & the leg-pulling plus showing how everyone has easily forgotten what Aunn meant for them. For a change, it’s brilliant to see the female dominance in the house & especially how positive any female can be, how considerate a ‘saas‘ can be for her ‘bahu’. It was just so touching seeing Husna actually cry by the thought of what abuse Zara was going through. Zara has sur-passed Aunn in all the matters. So where Aunn has shared his years of glory, finally it’s Zara’s time now. Loved how bluntly Daadi & Ammi showed him his place…a big fat AWWW for him but never-mind. hehe!

Nighat should’ve been the last person to speak to Zara about ‘aurat’ ‘uske huqooq’ ‘mard ko qabu’ & ‘pyaar badal jata hai’. All those things fitted perfectly on Nighat herself but I just loved how they both were victims of strong assumptions along with communication gap & yet they both thought that they could benefit each-other by some sort of advises.

I loved this episode as it was the most happening one of all, after quite a few episodes. Story has progressed a bit but loved how nicely everything was put in it’s place. I enjoyed the dialogues & all those conversations, that ‘muh pairhaa hoye te gall changi karya kar’ & ‘Zara sungarh gai aye’. What a treat. Like always a huge round of applause to the whole team. They’re the best.

Aunn Zara Episode 10 – Date Mai Kuch Kaala.

0

Finally, some impressive progress in the story & I couldn’t have asked for anything better. I enjoyed the whole episode like anything & shared quite a few laughs with my mother. :) This episode as compared to the previous two was much more happening & again it had me thinking, it ended way too fast.

Aunn has finally become a person Zara wanted him to be & he has also succeeded in impressing Jamshed by becoming how he wished to see his son-in-law as. Aunn seemed actually really happy doing whatever Zara asked him to because he thinks by actually fulfilling Zara’s needs he’d be able to woo her. All their scenes were done perfectly but the favorite one for me was their first date. Wow! What an idea of actually being the first one for your husband/wife to go out on a date with. Their chemistry is just amazing & yeah, officially, they’re the cutest & the best couple on-screen for me. Osman Khalid Butt’s zillion expressions in the date scene were just perfect & I couldn’t take my eyes off, of them both. Both Maya Ali & Osman Khalid Butt nailed the scene by actually showing how conscious they were but at the same time happy too. Aunn’s ‘pehli baar’ was actually evident on his face & Zara’s ‘biwi hoon tumhari’ was well-executed by Maya Ali. They both for sure deserve an applaud for this.

The fact that I love about Zara’s character is the ability to understand and cope with everyone, that too according to their temperaments. Zara seems care-free in front of Husna because she knows Husna is easy-going when it comes to Zara. She is the most attentive towards Daadi because she knows she has reached at the age where she longs for it. Zara doesn’t take Pupho seriously because Nighat herself doesn’t know what to expect from herself or her life, where Zara is just like a baby best friend to Nighat’s daughters she bonds equally good with Chachi as well. I actually love these shades of Zara’s character for just because she always wanted love & female figures in her life, now that she has gotten everything she wished for, she is not taking even a single one of them for granted.

Now, as far as Aunn is concerned, she is coping up with his demands perfectly. She knows Aunn wants to get a bit independent, therefore she made it possible for him to drive to his office. Zara actually kept her promise of paying more attention to Aunn once he gets a job & BANG! She shows up for lunch on his first day at office. What a sweet gesture it was.

I am impressed how ‘daal-mai-kuch-kala’ round has started that too on the day of their first date, where Aunn thought ‘ye hamari zindagi ka sab se khoobsurat din hoga’ . What a brilliant memories for them to commemorate on their special day when all the misunderstandings arose. Pupho thinks Aunn is going out with someone else, Zara thinks Pupho’s going out with her Father. Aunn thinks Pupho knew who he was with & lastly Daada Jaan actually believes Jamshed is interested in Nighat. All these misunderstandings for sure will create havoc in the Punjabi family. The funniest thing is, no one in the family starting from Daadi to Zara take Nighat seriously but when they will find how serious Jamshed will eventually be – it’s going to get so much interesting. Jamshed’s SMS actually shed a light on the soft corner he has in his heart for the ‘mohtarma’ & ‘mohtarma’ is too thick-headed to actually see his feelings develop for her. If she gets a heed, she will stop treating him like her personal chauffeur because she made her point way too clear that she can go for meaningless rides with him but can not even tolerate the idea of going to a cafe with him for a coffee, lol. She is such a colorful personality & adorable at that too.

I love how the things are unfolding but still, no signs of the reason of Husna’s misery! I think it’s a high time we should get to know our Aunn’s mother a bit too better. But nevertheless, the show is a MAJOR TIME HIT! ;)

Aunn Zara Episode 08 – Head Over Heels.

0

So, it was more like a musical that echoed pleasantly in our ears. Everyone channeled out their feelings through melodies. A few were amazing but the others were innocently hideous. Haha!

Before saying anything, I must say I am enjoying everyone’s time to time ‘kiyafay’ about Zara & her health. Aunn Zara both are in their very early stages of falling in love where you just smile to yourself & as a recorded history you lose you appetite, you take those timely glances that make your heart flutter & those little gestures that can make your heart skip a beat. That growing longing for each other that they portrayed was adorable. It was so much like a typical newly wedded couple where one of them wants to spend sometime with the spouse & the other is hesitant as they’re too engaged in the huge family chores. What makes it more interesting is Zara being unaware about what sort of messages even her expression send to her in-laws, haha!

In the middle of all these events Aunn definitely found peace after he blurted everything out in front of Manzar. I guess Aunn should know that he can not completely rely on Manzar’s intelligence because he skips some common sense at times too, lol! His song list was amazing I must say.

I find the idea of sooooo many ladies sharing such a strong & nice bond as a breath of fresh air. Each one of them pays utmost attention to the other & all the arguments are solely seen where someone is convincing the other. Husna & Daadi have such a nice relation & Zara is enjoying the benefits of their healthy relation too. Husna is equally caring towards Zara because she herself found a nice ‘saas’.

Zara wanted to celebrate the wedding anniversary but even though Daadi knew how Husna would feel, she tried to talk Husna into it because she knew Zara meant something good & expected the whole family to have a good time. Husna’s sacrifice means a lot where she put her ‘bahu’s’ feelings ahead of her own & subtly enjoyed the eve of her anniversary.

Aunn’s songs were so funny & what’s funnier was that he actually sang those songs thinking he’d prove a point to Zara. He’d be able to convey his feelings to her. Zara, obviously was too excited about her own little party plan that she didn’t bother paying a heed to him. His ‘kabhi kabhi mere dil mai’ was a decent choice of a song but again couldn’t help him convey his feelings. I loveeed how he sang it. lol!

Finally, Zara has admitted falling in love with him too which is equally sweet. This episode focused more on their growing feelings towards each other which I thoroughly enjoyed & obviously felt that it ended too quickly. Can’t wait to see more of their chemistry & how they put their egos aside & confess how madly they have started to fall in love with each other. Can’t wait to see more of their love roller-coaster.

Aunn Zara Episode 07 – The Apology.

0

So, there it was. Another complete package from Aunn Zara’s team. But this time I must say it was good to see the focus shift to the seriousness of their relation & expectations the two have from one & other. It dealt with the issues Zara is facing because of Aunn’s ego. I; like always, enjoyed the whole episode but did find a few things over the top. Plus I feel the comic touch has subsided tinsyyyy bit but I am hoping we get to share more laughs ahead & for that I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Finally Manzar & Shella have begun their mission to help their two friends in distress, however, Shella has no idea where Manzar’s intentions are progressing. Shella may seem to ignore a lot of his gibberish but will eventually understand his hits on her. I like how they both are trying to eradicate the problems of their friends & want to fill in the gaps they think Aunn Zara have in terms of communication. At times, I find Manzar’s flirt a lot more cheeky but always love Shella’s ‘not-bothered’ attitude towards him.

At this moment, Zara’s father is just not getting the point that Zara loves the new turn in her life & she is completely happy with everything she is experiencing, I feel it is his upbringing which has made her so stern in what she wants, which for sure is a good thing. Jamshed being the ‘Army wala’ always wanted his daughter to be focused, disciplined & someone who can make the right decisions & stick to them. Well, there he has it. All his values paid off & he has done his job perfectly as a father because Zara has taken everything good from her only parent. At this point, where Jamshed still feels Zara is a young little girl who can’t handle the Zoo-like in-laws, he is mistaking her endurance & the capability to extend & grab the love she had, all her life, longed for. I admired how Zara clearly reminded Jamshed of what she always wanted & how content she it. Even though, Jamshed had his own idea planned for Zara’s life & is kind of taken aback by what Zara has to go through but eventually he will get hold of the reality.

It was interesting how the scenario of an accident was unfolded just in order to make them draw more closer to each other. Aunn’s lifelong supervision by the women has made him incapable of understanding the needs & wants of every lady related to him. To Aunn, every woman of his family is either there to boss him over, is there to be ignored by him or is there to be in a competition with. In Zara’s case, unwillingly he formed some prejudices too. He is seen competing with Zara or always was on his own trip where he wanted to get rid of all the attention & used Zara as a shield to hide behind. He never really took her seriously (vice versa) & never really understood her position.

What made the situation more tangled was when he just tried to prove a point to Zara, which was unnecessary on his part, leading to the accident just because he couldn’t take how Husna trusted Zara more than him with her car. At first, he wanted Zara to take all the attention but now when she is happily doing that he has started to have certain issues. Zara’s cover up for him once again did make a few things clear to him & he was seen sympathizing with her & restless because he then understood what actually he did. I liked that he understood the whole situation & was willing to fix it with an apology.

The whole ‘naraz’ case was a treat & each & everyone’s idea of ‘narazgi’ & ‘manana’ was worth a laugh. Nighat, being too thick headed couldn’t really help him. Chacha tried to show how hard it was but he had his own ideas because you just can’t get away without apologizing & then Parveen Bano pe to narazgi hi khatam thi. Aunn’s response ‘kahin appko Dada manatay manatay hi to nahi khatam ho gaye’ was such a thigh-slapper. I think it has to be my favorite conversation rather the whole ‘kisi ko manatay kaisay hain’? issue was funny. I feel that the utmost attention & limitations of Aunn has made him a bit more sensitive then he would’ve been & for that reason he was being so considerate towards Zara, which I totally enjoyed. The flower gesture was way too cute & was probably the best way to prove a point of apology but alas! Zara’s allergy, her not being able to get the right picture & her misapprehension took it a whole new level of misery for them both. :)

I like the pace of the drama for sure & how they are making the characters grow each & every time. I feel it’s a high time that we get to see more of Husna as well because she has gone in the background & needs to be brought forth a little bit. I really want to see what hardships she had to go through after Aunn’s father left & what ‘bharam’ she spoke about when Aunn got married. Her character is so peacefully mysterious that I just want to know more about her.

I was wondering, was it just me who found the ‘Sahir Lodhi’ thing a bit un-necessary? I think Osman Khalid Butt has some dislikes towards him (like all of us) because even in one of his advert’s he spoke about the guy too. I know all the sane Pakistanis get creeps from him but to openly pin point Mr. Loathe-ee is like giving him the undivided attention (which he yearns for), isn’t it? I feel if you don’t like anyone, never give them the pleasure of your attention even – be it in a negative way or in your even in your critique. But yeah I agree, because of SRK people dislike SL or vice versa, but yeah, you just can’t ignore him, haha!

Ohkay, the thing which I found a bit over the top was a lot of comfortable skin-ship in the episode. I feel the story is so strong, the characters & actors are strong as well & by keeping this sole reason in mind they could have skipped the whole ‘raat wali harkat’, ‘subha wali harkat’, ‘koi aisi waisi harkat’  flick easily, because it seemed unnecessary. I feel even if this whole thought wasn’t stirred in the first place, my mind wouldn’t have even gone there because they are too innocent & I love the story & the show irrespective of all this as well. I feel everyone knows the beauty of a relation that the husband & wife share, so there’s definitely no need of any such constant reminder. I must say I was never really a fan of ‘Humsafar’ but what I appreciate the most about the drama is the strong chemistry which spoke volumes where they didn’t have to rely on any such meaningless contact between the couple. I know, I am talking about two completely different dramas with the different genres but let’s keep in mind the newly wedded couple for this instance. Aunn Zara, ever since it started, has an innocence etched in it & if they’d maintain it, I feel people would still love it – in fact a bit more. I would for sure.

Anyhow, I love the show & how the director has taken out the best in every actor. Every single thing is awe-inspiring & I love how our realities & the beauty of our culture is portrayed so nicely without any negativity as well. There have been so many moments where you can relate to each one of them by absolutely enjoying them in a whole new perspective & light. That’s the beauty of this drama & for this I give them all a ‘THUMBS UP’.

Aunn Zara Episode 06 – Going Strong!

0

Ohkay so it goes without saying that I thoroughly enjoyed this episode of Aunn Zara too. For me the best thing about the whole drama is the growth in the story every time. Ever since it has started we have moved on so much & have for sure fallen in love with all the characters because we have been exposed to each one of them appropriately, plus one thing that I’ve noticed is the mood of every episode. Seems like they have decided a certain standard & the mood for each one of them on which, in particular they work.

This time the main focus was on Aunn Zara & how they are working on their relationship. Manzar has extended his help perfectly this time & the good thing is that Aunn has understood the intricacy of the situation. He has started to understand the importance Zara carries in his life & he is longing for a companionship too. All his life Aunn has seen so many female figures & he’s loaded with the motherly affections & attentions. Hence, he doesn’t want Zara to boss him over especially even if she is showing some love towards him. It was sweet when he admitted that he has started to like Zara a lot but he hates it obviously when she tries to act like some lady. He has accepted her like a girl she is with her tom-boyish traits & her carelessness & hence, he needs her to be like that in front of him. He might nag at how she treats him badly but eventually has fallen for all of that.

Zara on the other hand has started to feel butterflies at the thought of being with him as his wife but it still too egoistic & naive at the same time where she doesn’t want to repeat anything she does or says for him. She wants him to understand her subliminal feelings as well, which Aunn is at the moment incapable of because he has not had been in contact with any girl that way before. I absolutely adored the ‘mailay kapre’ thing because no matter who the girl is, any wife would smile to herself while doing anything small related to her husband. That’s the beauty of this relationship & they portrayed it perfectly & realistically.

I am sure no one could’ve been happier as I was when I heard Jamshed’s friend uttering the I word (Ishq). I like so many others sussed it way before that Jamshed & Nighat have the ability to be together (being the complete opposites like Aunn Zara) & therefore, Jamshed revealed being worried about Zara because of Nighat. I think the best option for him & for the well-being of his daughter would be to take Nighat to his home by marrying her, so then Zara would be in peace. Haha! I must say Adnan Jaffar has acted so so sooo well as Jamshed, he seems so uncomfortable at the sight of Nighat but still is hesitant in letting his feelings surface. What a decent man he is.

Manzar’s ‘garaj nahi, baras ja’ & Aunn’s ‘Ammi mai barasna chahta hoon’ was way too funny. I’m glad that the guy who seemed handicapped intelligently is giving out amazing pointers to his poor friend in need. Therefore, Aunn actually found himself putting up what he wants in front of his family with ease. Whereas, Zara who puts everyone ahead of Aunn can not understand the privacy Aunn wanted for them both. She tagged along everyone with her because she is far more considerate towards her in-laws than Aunn actually is. I liked how she grasped Aunn’s inconsideration towards his family & tried to cover his bad mood. I like Zara’s character for this because where she has a child-like innocence still she is capable of tackling situations with ease & maturity at the same time too. It clearly showed that she couldn’t relate to Aunn being sad at the attention his family members extend towards him because she has longed for that all her life. That’s why she is walking an extra mile for her in-laws because she wants the love & care too.

There were few really funny moments especially the one where Zara tagged her Daada with Aunn’s Daadi. Nighat’s self-assumed cafe date at the signal. ‘Chai ya Paani’ debate & the car scene where Husna can rely on a girl as a driver but is too scared of seeing her son take a driver’s seat. I loved the episode for sure & I am enjoying how Aunn & Zara are taking steps in order to get close to each other. Zara’s still oblivious but has her feelings growing deep inside. Can’t wait to see their good patch together.

Please share what you feel & bring it on once again please!

Aunn Zara Episode 05 – CUTE!

0

What a fulfilling episode hit our screens last night. It is just getting better & better as the episodes are progressing. The story seems to get more stronger & I am loving the fact that every single time they have something new to reveal. Everything about this drama is nothing less than just awesome.

Apart from the humor, revelations to both Aunn & Zara about their pre-wedding feelings for one-another was superbly done. Those conversations were written so well that just in a flow it was expressed which gave them a new dimension as well as to the feelings they have for one another. I loved that at that very moment they were touched & ecstatic by the idea but whenever they came across each other they just had zero tolerance level. It was really cute to see them bickering continuously because that’s how they are going to understand each other well. It’s actually really enjoyable to see them taking each other so lightly & innocently that they are actually not understanding the needs they have to fulfill of each other, because they are too busy in their own agendas & this definitely makes it better.

I actually find it commendable that during the course of the comedy, the drama doesn’t miss a chance to give you those moments where you can say ‘aweeeeeeeeeeee’. The drama sheds a light on those never-ending emotions one feels normally as well. Zara’s father, who looks so stiff is actually finding it hard to accept the fact that she has left his home for good. Aun, who dreads his FIL’s presence could actually yearn for his hug seeing the emotional moment. It was sweet but what made it better was Aunn’s childish expression & his self-uttered thought that his FIL would actually ‘koochi koo’ him. LOL! That scene had me laugh so hard.

Another thing I love about this drama is that all the characters get to share the screen time as well. Even though the main focus is on Aunn & Zara but all the characters are not left out. They all share their moments & never fail to leave an impact. I must say I sympathized with Nighat &  how sad her divorce story was. :( lol. Chachi’s imagination rolled really quick in regards to Zara’s health & her ice-cream havoc was way too funny. But the best one in this episode for me was ‘Lanat Joga’, ‘Manhoos Mara’ & obviously the ‘2 Kilo Doodh’. I just can’t imagine how do they make things appear so funny to us which we actually experience in our personal lives too. Trust me if you’re a true Urdu/Punjabi lover, you have used these words a hundred times too.

Seeing Manzar back was great. He did try to help Aunn once again as usual but this time his idea was a hit in stead of a miss. Aunn has actually started working on the new project Manzar has assigned to him & Zara on her own is working unknowingly in that direction too, whereas Manzar has set a new goal for himself & she is Zara’s friend. ;) Aunn wants to get away with all the attention & Zara, being the only girl in her family without a mother-figure just can’t tolerate how her husband gets pampered all the time. She is being innocently selfish but is for sure spreading lots of smiles there. Husna seems to enjoy the relation Aunn & Zara share because Zara has no stopping & she is ready to take things in her hands.

The cockroach thing was the funniest because I can relate to Aunn in that matter too. The moment a cockroach walks in, I am sure me & so many out there try to reach to the highest point in their rooms because it’s just so creepy. The ‘bewa cockroachni’ was something which I never thought of but from now on I sure am going to give it some consideration too before I become a cockroach ‘kaatil’ like Zara. Haha.

This episode seemed more calm & quiet because now that Aunn has returned everyone is at peace & they are done with Zaras’ father’s deal too. Daadi can see the ‘apple of her eye’ all day long & the added bonus for the whole family is proving to be Zara now. Nighat Pupho & Chachi are scheming something because they just can’t tolerate a few seconds of Aunn not being in the limelight. I am sure they are going to give Zara a tough time in getting smitten by her tactics. It for sure is such an experience which you just don’t want to enjoy alone. I always tag my family along & we watch it together because it’s just something I don’t want anyone to miss. I must say the star of today’s episode undoubtedly for me was Osman Khalid Butt as Aunn. I must admit he is really cute & has done a marvelous job in giving out those millions expressions each in micro-seconds. His eye popping, his gulp, his awe, his disgust, his anxiety, his frustration – every thing is just praise-worthy. WELL DONE OKB, YOU ROCK!

Applause once again to the whole team for giving us another brilliant episode. I must say I love the quick scenes hence the editor has his job well done & every time it ends I just feel it wasn’t enough. I just can’t wait for more. Bring it on ASAP please. :)

Aunn Zara Episode 04 – Getting To Know Eachother.

0

Ohkay so those were a few minutes compiled as a complete package full of laughter & some really amusingly awkward moments. But before I proceed I must admit that I couldn’t do justice to the play by completely forgetting about the protagonists. It’s a norm that you usually tend to ignore the obvious & this is what I did by not talking at all about Osman Khalid Butt & Maya Ali. That’s only because they have done such a great job & without them Aunn Zara wouldn’t have been possible, I mean in literal sense NOT POSSIBLE, with which I put forward my confession of ignoring their characters or acting because I was like ‘c’mon we all know what they mean to us as Aunn Zara’ so I just focused on the characters other than the main ones. I hope I ain’t too late in admitting what I just realized. :D

I must say the whole episode kept me wanting for more because I can not get enough of the goofiness that too by the end of the day where you just have to relax & watch something that makes you laugh out loud actually. To me this drama is more than just that because I have always liked my entertainment a bit more on a lighter side & now when all we see is a heavy baggage of emotional roller coaster rides, this one seems really off the hook.

At first, where both the families looked really flexible & awe-inspiring in terms of their marriage & everything related to it, now look really rigid because they have moved onto the phase of ‘ghar ki murghi daal barabar‘. Zara is now their daughter-in-law & daughter who can be just ignored because no matter who she is, nothing can replace Aunn for them all, because by the end of the day Zara is a female & they have a bunch of them already but Aunn still remains the ‘iklota larka’.  During all the chaos, it’s only Husna who reads between the lines & understands the intricacies of all these new found relationships. After all, the Urdu Speaking Background & the ‘rakh rakhao’ does the trick because she has carried that all as her values, where as all the Punjabis are a bit too laid-back in this matter because they just can not pretend & can’t keep up with the courtesy Zara’s father in particular expects. I kind of find it really funny where they are so laid-back in extending any gratitude or courtesy to Jamshed Sahab, yet they are equally in fact a bit more cautious & attentive towards Aunn.

I must say it’s only OKB who makes Aunn so soo sooo cute. His expressions while resting his head on Daadi’s shoulder & telling ‘mai bathroom mai gir gaya thaw’, his ‘Ammi mujhe nahi janawwww’ is something that I just can not imagine anyone else doing it on-screen for us all. He just makes it all so real, may be because I have seen him in his candid mode & I am like so glad he kept that face on while performing Aunn for us because it just looks like he actually is Aunn & is so effortless in playing the character. There were so many moments where I just couldn’t stop laughing at how ‘nazuk’ a guy can be.

Like we all know, it’s a win win situation where the two opposites meet & here’s another story which proves it right. Zara’s all tom-boyish & is just blunt where as Aunn, no doubt being such an innocent guy, who doesn’t know how to act or react in certain (actually, most of the) matters expects Zara to treat him like a husband & his typicality makes him absolutely adorable. I believe it’s Zara’s care-free attitude which will bring Aunn out of his shell or make him grow out of getting pampered all the time. With her for sure he will understand the true meanings of independence whereas for now he believes he has fallen into another trap. Maya Ali has outdone herself as Zara because once again like others, she is effortless in portraying Zara to us too. For sure she has reached that level of comfort because you can just see-through that & it is doing the magic.

Like they say ‘a marriage doesn’t only bind two people in a relationship, it’s a relation of two clans’. Similarly, Aun Zara did get married but seems like they have taken a back-seat even when they are just ‘naye nawele dulha dulhan’ who share just a 1 day old marriage, who’re still getting to know each other but seems like it’s their families who have to settle things up way before the bride & groom because they just can not tolerate anything happening against their will.

Zara’s father is disgusted at how in-disciplined his son-in-law is whereas Daadi seems to get agitated every time Jamshed tries to swoop in trying to take Aun away from them. The whole motorbike scene & where Zara asks ‘Pupho akhir hua kya hai’ was spot on because she is still trying to understand how things related to Aunn roll in her in-laws. & one thing for sure made my head high was when Aunn enjoyed watching Tom & Jerry, another thing which I found common apart from ‘Chawwal’. I mean we all still love our Tom & Jerry & now we have gotten another reason to love it. ;) Haha!

Of all the people today, I must say it was Husna who caught my eye. She is just keeping herself busy or as we can say trying to fulfill her duties but is so welcoming to the change where she can understand the situation & takes a firm hand where needed. I kind of missed Daadi’s presence in the last episode but I am glad she was back in action. I just keep on learning that Punjabi from her & Husna’s Urdu puts me to shame. :/ That stance, that accent, that ‘thehrao’ in her dialogue delivery is just amazing.

Who actually missed Manzar this time? I must say, I did! At such a time where Aunn is completely surrounded by all these mishaps, he definitely needs Manzar to back him up & make him take a stand against his father-in-law who just wants to change everything about him. I must say I just can not wait for the next Thursday because I want to see what happens ahead. I don’t know if it’s just me or what but I feel every time I see them – Nighat & Jamshed will end up together. I know it’s too early to jump up & make such predictions but it could be just a silly guess or something spot on. Once again, it goes without saying, the direction, the screenplay, the story, the acting & all those bits & bobs that make Aunn Zara such a incredible piece deserve an applause.

Keep pouring your feedback & yes ‘RAMADAN KAREEM’.

Cheers,

Aunn Zara – Last Episode! :/

0

Finally the moment that we all dreaded was here & we had to see the last episode of Aunn Zara. Of all the dramas that I have reviewed, I have enjoyed this one the most because I myself am a fan of this drama. Things winded up perfectly but it did leave me feeling that it ended up way too quickly. Thursday’s are going to be empty from now on.

I loved how Jamshed brought up the conversation of him being alone & Nighat for the first time had no considerable answer. She ran out of words before too when Jamshed rejected her on her face in front of the whole family but this time he once again caught her off-guard with the sudden proposal, which left our Nigho speechless. I thought that Jamshed would ask Zara for it but to make things a bit more perfect, he did the honours himself.

It was just so natural that Husna & Daadi didn’t quite understand when Nighat herself testified in front of them about Aunn being the culprit because none of them thought of their ladla being the actual (excuse my words) kamina. Loved how they continued to complain about Zara but Aunn tried to twist their words once again just to show that he ain’t going to care for her any more, which was his way of dusting off the grudges.

There were a few very nicely done moments, one of them was Zara-Jamshed’s conversation, he looked adorable when he sheepishly told her of the proposal he had extended to Nighat, the other one was seeing them all re-unite & how the elders showed their wisdom was commendable by ignoring Zara’s try of exposing Aunn then & there. At first I did find it unfair because I was expecting wawela from Daadi & Husna’s salees Urdu ke tanay but Nighat & Zara’s conversation afterwards made things perfect because it was another good reality check for Aunn to know how much Daadi & Husna cared for him & didn’t want to make things awkward for already-awkward Aunn but personally I do think he got away with his kartoot way too easily. ;)

Ohkay, I must say, I loved the way Jamshed looked at Ansa Nighat Parveen & what’s more cute was how she left the biggest chunk of laddu & settled on a smaller piece of mithai, t’was enough of a clear notification of her consciousness & her flourishing feelings which she had for her husband-to-be. Finally, Jamshed’s Mohtarmma & Nighat’s Kharoos are going to be together. I know things would’ve become too explanatory but I did expect to see them together like may be a small ceremony or just both of them happily ever after!

I missed Daadi a bit in this episode but it was justified because there were a lot of other aspects which had to be covered & especially Aunn had to be exposed. Accha, who would’ve thought that Aunn will ever stand up for his family? I think the whole Father thing had a perfect closure & the way Daadi supported Aunn & encouraged Husna to see the brighter side was brilliant. Finally, Aunn accha wala bacha ban hi gaya. :)

Lastly, a shout out to the whole team – from writer to the director to the actors & every single person involved, THANK YOU all for giving us a masterpiece with the name of Aunn Zara. Hope to see another venture of all of you together & special thanks to Osman Khalid Butt for making Aunn our special ladla. :D

Aunn Zara – Honeymoon in Pindh.

I loved, I loved, I loved just so many things in the whole episode. I wonder how do they come up with everything so nicely all the time. Even though the story is not moving forward lately but I like the fact that they are taking their sweet time by just focusing on the relationship of Aunn & Zara. They both are our eye-candies & for sure, I don’t get bored of the details. I like how their relationship is evolving & how Zara is working stealthily on her ulterior motive which she has set for her husband Aunn. Her character is a true inspiration I must say!

Well, I didn’t expect Jamshed to act so rudely especially with Nighat, then I didn’t either expect him realizing & rectifying his mistake so quickly & the I least I could expect was Jamshed actually taking Nighat for her shopping spree. Nighat mentioned a tiff with her Bhabhi in front of Jamshed & then went out for a retail therapy, that too with Jamshed Sahab. It was a sight. I love how their paths are crossing again & again even though when she thinks he’s a ‘kharus’ & Jamshed himself feels that the ‘mohtarma’ is a sorry excuse of a human being. lol. For me, the best thing was Jamshed acting all ruthlessly & then even though he was rigid & believed firmly at what he said, he was sorry on his part. Their timely encounters for sure are going to drive them towards each other & I just can’t wait for that. Having said that, I find Adnan Jaffer perrrrfeccctttt for this role. He has justified the character of Jamshed by all means & I absolutely respect his acting skills & on the other hand I love Sabreen Hisbani’s voice. She sounds just as sweet as she looks.

Aunn wanted to spend some time off the routine & Voila! His prayers were answered but with a little catch & some awesome strings attached. He wanted to spend some quality time with Zara, which he thought he got to but Zara was too busy figuring out the relation of ‘ta’u’ & ‘mausi’. I felt that Zara has gradually started to understand Aunn as well. She wants the best for him therefore, she is getting a little flexible for him, because she knows this will make Aunn the person she wants him to be. Even though the couple was flocked with the relatives who were in an awe of the ‘sohni wotti’ yet they both managed to steal some time & have a heart to heart with each other. Aunn has started to get more vocal about his feelings for Zara & Zara has started to give a listen to what he wants to say every time.

For Zara, Aunn should be the one taking care of all the members of the family, not in terms of finance but in terms of emotions. He should be strong enough to extend some emotional security to his mother. He should understand what someone around him is feeling & fortunately Zara has started working on it. I find it really sweet how Zara keeps on reminding him about what he should have done or said to his elders. For now, Aunn might not understand what Zara wants because he’s too blinded by the idea of getting pampered by his wife but eventually will get the picture clearly.

The ‘bakras’ getting more privacy than Aunn & Zara was spot-on. No doubt they have highlighted this issue so nicely where generally in our households in Pakistan, husband & wife do get everything, in literal sense everything BUT the privacy. What makes it more cute is that in the foreground Zara’s enjoying everyone’s attention & at the background Aunn’s sulking alone feeling attention deprived. He at first wanted Zara to divert everyone’s attention from him & now when she has done it, he wants more from her. Like he said ‘dunya dene aur lene k asool pe chalti hai’. So finally they have come to terms with the give & take. Their deal was another thing worth a praise. Zara has started making Aunn understand his responsibilities & Aunn has started to do what Zara wants because in return he wants her attention & love. Which is acceptable & perfect.

Glad they didn’t miss out Daadi this time too. The conversation between her & Husna about Nighat was hilarious where Daadi stated she wanted to see some human face. LOL! Husna, who may have carried a facade all these years, deep down, does get hurt by the lack of attention of Aunn’s father. It was really gutting to see Husna sad. Hope Aunn & Zara can fade out all of her worries & make her smile from deep inside again.

All the conversations were amazing this time. I loved Aunn & Zara’s especially. No matter how long their scenes were or even on the same lines but I loved watching them again & again. That goes without saying but like always amazing episode of an amazing drama.

Aunn Zara – Episode 18.

Ohkay, that was ONE sweet episode that I was waiting for since ages. Even though the flashbacks – as a filler, were shown for quite some time but I didn’t regret watching them as a re-cap & especially when they had a lot of Daadi’s Theth Punjabi. It looked like a journey that we’ve spent with Aunn Zara & was a reminder of those amazing moments we’ve experienced.

Finally & finally, Jamshed Sahab has decided to break the ice. Well, I actually never knew that he was a stammerer or may be & like always, it was his hesitation that hindered his words from going out to Mohtarmma. I absolutely adore Jamshed for fending for his mistakes whenever he commits some. Now he can not deny the fact that he has fallen for Mohtarmma but he’s too occupied by worrying about Zara that he is just letting the appropriate opportunities pass.

I am just so glad that Zara got hold of the situation & like I expected our typical Zara to react, she thinks it’s more than necessary to make him realize his mistakes & for that she’s ready to pull her sword out of the scabbard. Accha, all this while, watching Aunn Zara, I never sided with either one of them, I found Zara rational where she was so I raised my opinion that way & when I found Aunn irrational which obviously he was, I stated that too, but this time, on an official note, I’m with Zara on her ‘Project-Aunn-Pays-The-Price’.

I loved how Nighat has gotten involved in the whole scenario & heard what Shehna had to say. This is what I have always enjoyed about Aunn Zara that misunderstandings or clarifications establish without either of the party being aware about it. Nighat just sough the mood of taunting Zara for her flee with Aunn but that proved to be an eye-opener for Zara herself. Hina Bayat has acted out Husna at her best but this time her curiosity came through so relate-able. The way she questioned Nighat about Aunn’s home sweet home, she made it look like k har MA aik jaisi hoti hai. She was just so honest about her longing to know more about how her ladla was doing but yet she didn’t want to make an eye contact with a fear of her feelings being revealed. Such minute expressions which definitely spoke volumes & for that, Star of the episode crown is for Husna. :)

Daadi & her caterwauling was adorable obviously. She still wants Aunn’s attention but even when she was getting some, she used that prime time in taunting him about Zara Jee. Loved her wawela & the way she told him to shoo away, as if even a sight of his was unbearable for Daadi. Husna’s instincts are right about some glad tiding coming to her way, being a Daadi-to-be, her heart has already sent messages to her but in this time of distress she is keeping her hopes low.

Zara has taken perfect measures to make Aunn realize the garbage he has spread & now some exfoliating is necessary. Aunn’s thought of Boot-Camp by Jamshed was enough of a shiver in his spine & a laughter package for us & so for that I’m hoping he blurts it out right away at what he has instigated himself. I want Zara to torture him verbally a bit more & tell him to make some more Omlettes & Chai’s, which may compel him to run back to AMMMIIIIIIIIIIIII, lol.

ps; I’ve never loved the song ‘latthay di chaadar’ as much, but Aunn Zara’s happy-mood soundtrack made me love it a bit more too, so I want to hear it once again & for that I hope the happiness comes back to the Punjabi Family ASAP! ;)

Aunn Zara – Episode 17

That was one beautifully directed episode which conveyed the emotions right, every single time. I wish that the story would’ve moved forward & there was less emphasis on the depression everyone is going through. I know the pace is right & everything is perfect but still a little shift from sad times to the happy ones please!

I loved the conversations, everyone’s bigheartedness & acceptance to Aunn’s decision. Even when deep inside they wanted to stop Aunn from moving out of their blessed home, they have stopped themselves, not only themselves but others as well who wanted to burden both Aunn & Zara with the wrongness of the decision they’ve taken. Husna cries on her own, Daadi cries to the point where she is hurt so badly but still they maintain the dignity & show their caliber by quietly being submissive. It was heart-wrenching to see them so much used to the fact that Aunn was still there & called him whenever they felt like. Daadi wanted to ‘phookofy’ after she recited Holy Qur’an & Husna wanted to make sure Aunn eats a freshly cooked meal.

A few bits & bobs did show the progress in the story where everyone on their own took some steps. Shehna has backed out obviously because she is dreading the whole marriage thing in her life considering what her best friend has gone through. I still respect Manzar for staying quiet at first because he didn’t want to reveal the true face of Aunn in front of his prospect wife. He did act like a true friend even when he felt his dream wedding was falling apart but he chose to secure the dignity & respect of his best friend.

Nighat did her bit by visiting Jamshed which might open another way for them to speak to each-other but right now Nighat’s concern was about Zara’s decision which she found out was materialized on Jamshed’s wish. Another chapter of misunderstanding opened but I am sure Jamshed will do everything to take care of the things & especially to clear his name in front of ‘mohtarma’.

I must say that Aunn has crossed all the limits of selfishness. At first he wanted to snatch Zara away from the whole family because he thought he’d do everything to draw her closer to him but just after their first day in their personal space when Zara asked for a cup of tea, Aunn was disgusted but sadly he had no other option left then to tend to Zara because she ain’t well. I think what we predicted is wrong, she might not be expecting but may be due to mental pressures, tensions & no considerate diet she has gone weak. May be she doesn’t say but she is taking things too seriously & over-thinking the situations & for that she is facing a decline in her health.

Ohkay, who respects Manzar even more for all the reality checks he gave to Aunn? I DO. Not only he clarified Sheha’s misunderstandings but also checked Aunn’s shape left right & centre because he is just frustrated by the negativity Aunn has been upto lately as it has effected not only his family but now his friend in some way too. Just a few words from him & Aunn lost it completely because he is so used to the sugar coated, flowery words but all of a sudden when he was exposed to some thorns, he just couldn’t take it. Even though I know nothing can part these bro-like friends but it was only Manzar who could talk to him clearly to set his mind right.

It is sad to see that Aunn has become so selfish that he just can not tolerate anything going against his will & way. A guy who was showered with so much love could stoop to this level is quite frustrating to see. Even now he found it difficult to tend to Zara & that too in just a few hours he had a reality stroke that living away from his family is not going to be easy. Daadi’s conversation reflected how Aunn has taken every thing from his father which she just couldn’t believe herself.

Now I am kind of relieved that Zara will find out about Aunn soon enough & will make things right but I wish she regains her health & spark to tackle Aunn her way. One of the most beautiful scenes was when Husna reminisced of her conversation with Daadi after her husband left. It spoke volumes of what a sane & wise woman can do, how can a woman make or break her home & how many sacrifices one does to earn this level of respect which she has now in the eyes of Daadi & everyone else. What a beautifully etched character.

Loved the episode in bits & pieces but over all I am waiting for the revelations soon & dear Aunn please be ready to face the women avengers.

Aunn Zara – Episode 16

0

Ohkay, Aunn has crossed all the limits to a point where it isn’t even funny anymore. I don’t know how could he muster up the courage to divide his family to this extent where they are just bluntly shedding tears. I know there’s nothing to be getting worked up for & things will get better but the current situation of our favorite Punjabi family is just depressing.

I know the writer has stirred a perfect thought for all those out there who think that only the ‘bahu’s’ are the evil ones. Normally, it is said that the nicest families get the worst bahu’s, but I think Aunn being a son doesn’t deserve a family like this. I remember in the review of the 2nd episode I mentioned that even though this family is always attentive towards Aunn – attentive to the point where he gets irritated, they are sweet to the core because no matter what preferences they had in their minds regarding Aunn’s wife, they dropped it all & settled it on Zara happily because they knew that she was Aunn’s choice. Similarly, the feelings are the same this time too but the situation is different. Even though Daadi is crying her heart out, Husna is depressed, Nighat is speechless & Chachi thinks being child-less is just the right thing, still they are all agreeing on what Aunn has demanded because they just can not see him unhappy. What a perfect family in fact what a bunch of perfect ladies. *touchwood*

I just love how nicely the writer has pointed out the evil hidden in our society where the sons get away with everything & daughters-in-law have to put up with each & everything irrespective of them being at fault or not. No one cares what the daughter-in-law thinks or does & all they see is their sons being right. Currently the Punjabi family thinks it is Zara who is at fault yet they don’t forget to blame Aunn every now & then too. This is just like setting a whole new mind-set for so many ladies out there that, just for once, they should give a thought that their son’s can be wrong too which clearly this time a son, a grandson & a husband – Aunn is. No husband leaves a house of his parents if he doesn’t wish for it himself but conveniently the bahu’s get burdened by the taunts of ‘hamare larke ko le uri’. I commend the writer for pointing such heavy mistakes of MEN of our society by initially showing all the positives of what our females are capable of.

I hated seeing those frowning faces but the beauty of the direction & the flawless acting created a magic & where they have given us every reason to laugh, they made us cry too. I hated seeing Daadi hurt & Nighat trying to convince everyone to change their decisions by raising her voice, thinking it will help. I do find the communication gap another issue because even if Zara’s trying to start a conversation, she is blindsided by everyone. They are doubting her for all the wrong reasons just because they trust their Aunn so much that they can not even imagine him lying to them.

As far as I think, Shehna has backed out of getting married to Manzar & later when she will be questioned, she will give him all the reasons basing on Zara’s current situations that she is herself a witness of, I feel it will be a breaking point of Aunn’s secret mission & Shehna after hearing it from Manzar will pass it on to Zara & then Zara will get hold of the whole situation & finally Aunn after being exposed will beg for forgiveness. I loved how Aunn told Manzar for not becoming his conscience, because deep down he himself knows what he has started but is still blinded by his selfishness. There were a few moments where Aunn gulped in guilt & worried for his mother but still didn’t let it cloud his decisions. I know, privacy is nothing much to ask for but it does come with a huge price tag & here every single person is paying for it.

I think enough of the episodes have been dedicated to what Aunn wants & how he wants it, I feel it’s the right time to move on. I hope what I predicted is right & Zara gets to know from the reliable sources that it is Aunn behind all this chaos. Can’t wait to see those bright smiling faces again & Daadi’s ‘lakh diyan la’antaan’ on her ‘mashoom’ & ‘beeba’ Aunn soon. :)

Aunn Zara – Episode 15

Voila! My star of the show; Daadi’s back. Even though Daadi’s presence was felt all this while but I thought that her character shifted to the back-seat in few of the previous episodes. So glad she had an appropriate screen-time & I absolutely loved seeing her. She just looked so adorable with a disbelief in her eyes & innocence on her face when Aunn confronted her. Even though the whole episode was based on the hard-times this Punjabi family is facing but still some really heart-touching moments came up, filling us with compassion.

Daadi & Husna’s conversation about Zara was so inspirational. Daadi who endears Zara equally like her own grand-son Aunn thought it was just fine if Zara was showing tantrums. A whole new thought was provoked by saying that no daughter-in-law is evil, what actually wrong is that the men often forget how to maintain a balance between their family & then the wife. What Aunn’s doing is just a perfect example of the notion. He is just not strong enough to fend what he wants for himself therefore, he is stirring things up & even resorting to the most dangerous sleeping pills.

Even after Nighat’s glass found wings & while practicing it’s first flight, it hit Zara, even though such a huge mess was created – Nighat still found her time & ways for socializing. I just love this about her that even though she has two girls to take care of, she always finds her me-time in the middle of everything. She does retail therapy, loves visiting her friends & also has found a personal chauffeur aka Jamshed. It was just so like Jamshed who first blurted out things which he didn’t mean but then came to make up for it. I loved the strong point that Nighat put forward saying ‘mai kaunsi ghalat fehmi ko khush fehmi bana k dil mai chuppa k bethi hoon’. To-the-point & spot-on dialogues are what makes this whole experience a lot more better. Aunn & Nighat’s encounter was just so funny but I commend Osman Khalid Butt for switching his moods & expressions just so easily when he changes rooms & I must say that OKB makes the evil look good & effortless too.

Zara has gone into the shell of misunderstandings & is not willing to come out because even when she tried, Aunn used it & twisted it to turn Zara against his family. Daadi who thinks no one in her 7 generations has been ‘Mashoom’ just couldn’t believe her ears when Aunn told her everything that Zara Jee has said. Even thought Aunn apologized to Allah for everything that he is doing, I still want to see the ‘kutt’ he will get once he will be exposed, because he deserves it. That was rather clever & sweet at the same time that Aunn saw Daadi’s restlessness so he came to compensate for it & told her things which made her believe that her Aunn is ‘beeba’ & ‘chann’. Poor Daadi doesn’t know that her ‘Chann’ Aunn is actually personifying ‘Chandaal’ these days.

Love the whole Zara Jee drama followed by everybody’s reactions on this. The best came from Chacha Jaan who thought it was Zara’s Khala who had come to visit them because no one expected Aunn to become a ‘zan mureed’ if we put it in Daadi’s words. Zara’s morning sickness & nausea are telling a whole new story. I think this may become the reason for the whole family to re-unite but it’s Aunn Zara I am talking about, things get worst & best in a thin-air which no one can ever predict & I say that in a good sense of course. I loved that even though this episode had some weak moments where Daadi broke so many times, filling our hearts with sadness, they still managed to giggle us with their one-liners. Still found Aunn & his ‘fafay kutni’ attitude amusing but wish to see him suffering for all that he has done. Everybody else was just perfect & glad to see Chacha & Chachi back for more.

Can’t wait for the next episode because things have gotten way too interesting, & like always a shout out for the whole team for their best efforts which are obviously paying off.

Aun Zara Episode 03 – Wedding Ordeal Begins!

0

Hahaha! ‘Shadi pe sab tumhe is liye dekh rahay the kyunki tumne kameez ulti pehni hui thi’. This has to be my favorite one from the whole episode. I am totally hooked to this show & I must say that each & every actor is nailing the character that has been assigned to them. For me, in this whole episode, the one person that shined the most has to be Nighat Pupho, I mean even if she has no dialogues, she is speaking volumes with just her minutely accurate expressions. I guess she has completely enjoyed & lived the character of Nighat & just because of her effort in such an effortless acting, we’re being able to enjoy all her scenes.

Now coming to the progress of the story, Aun & Zara both have started to have funny yet serious realizations in what they have done in a jiffy with their lives. They took a serious decision without thinking & now they’re thinking a bit too much about it (which was required to be done beforehand). That was really amusing at how Aun tried to convince Zara’s father about what sort of a family he belongs to but just because Zara’s father is a man of substance himself, he finds his honesty worth a trust & for the sole reason he is ready to rely on him with his most precious & only daughter.

The ‘Iklota’ part has to be another thing which highlighted perfectly. No doubt the utmost & undivided attention can get you frustrated & Aun has proved it. He just couldn’t think of another person especially a female giving him all the attention so for the same reason he tried hard to call off his wedding. On the other hand, Zara recognized who Aun was & was turned off by the idea of getting married to such a burger boy. No doubt Zara has seen such a prim & proper man through out her life so she for sure will have some issues in adjusting with such a pampered boy. Zara’s father has always wanted her to sparkle in her practical life but he least expected her to step into another phase of a practical life which is ‘marriage’. I kind of find it really interesting that Zara herself has set no such goals in her life & is happily or ignorantly just going with the flow.

Finally, at such a particular moment where they thought they’d be released from the trap of a life-long commitment, to add more to their woes, they get ‘Nikkaofied’. Both of them had some strong reactions & some far-fetched plans but end up politely accepting what fate did to them. Their ‘Rukhsati’, her father’s speech, Aun’s expressions, Zara’s welcome, the ‘Saqda;, all these had me actually laugh out loud as they embodied the essence of our traditional Pakistani weddings yet revealed a humorous sides of it too.

One thing worth mentioning is the presence of Aun’s best buddy. I mean he is just with Aun all the time, when Aun is frustrated, he’s dancing, he’s stirring up some plans, he’s antsy or he’s just down. Manzar is either helping him cheer up or is at times beautifully spoiling the charm of the things Aun is happy about. One thing that really amuses me is his never-ending, ultimate & instant solutions to Aun’s problems that too which he thinks will hit the bullseye. His one liners to shoo Aun away are absolutely hilarious.

I really loved the scene where Aun, just to make her feel comfortable & a part of the family hands over her the ring. He is trying to get into the mood of being a husband, but he will take some time. Zara has surprised Aun with her bluntness, innocence & straightforwardness which has left Aun speechless because he least expected his wife to be that way as he has already dealt with loud women through out his life. So similarly, Zara will fit perfectly in that family but Aun will have to take some steps to get used to another female that has entered his life as a life partner.

Last but not the least, I am actually enjoying the spontaneity of the drama, those twists & turns that have been unfolded perfectly & over all the feel of the drama which gets you in a mood the moment you tune into it. The whole credit goes to the director & the team & off course the actors of Aun Zara because they have done a perfect job in bringing us this package.

So, what were your favorite dialogues or scenes in the Episode 3, do let me know! :)

Aun Zara Episode 02 – Spouse-Hunt Done!

0

Finally after a long long wait, the serial has resumed & I hope we don’t get to see any more breaks in such a nice drama. Before I comment on anything I must have to say that I can not, can not, can not get enough of the Punjabi humor. It’s top-notch, on the spot & what not.

Even though Aun thought that the idea of him getting married will drive his whole family crazy but they have supported him completely. I loved how each one of the female members of the family wanted to find a bride for Aun according to their preferences. The best part which came as a surprise was that how every lady of his family agreed on Zara just by having a look at her picture in Aun’s room. Where they all seemed so difficult at him – now looked like they don’t want to leave any stone un-turned to make Aun happy.

Zara’s part in this whole scenario looked really unusual as compared to what norm prevails these days when it comes to the marriage but is appeasing to see by all means. Zara, who just wants to escape from her monotonous life & disciplined routine found her peace of mind in the idea of getting married. I kind of liked her approach that may be in her innocence or in oblivion she is ready to get married to just any random guy, whose family claims to have liked her at her friends wedding. This for sure is something which has become impossible to just even conceive because every educated girl these days, does have a say in her marriage or in when finding a suitor for her. Zara is kind of laid-back when it comes to knowing more about the guy or his family because to her the idea of getting married & starting a new beginning seems perfect & something that she can easily handle.

I must say that whereas both their families are poles apart in everything comparable – they are equally sweet because they have taken in consideration their feelings & their choices. Zara’s father may be a strict person but in the end he is just as soft in regards to Zara as any father would be.

I absolutely loved all the conversations, those one-liners, those punches & my absolute favorite scenes are those of Daadi’s, her incessant cursing & the scene where they all are ecstatic after getting a phone call from Zara’s father. But the moment that stole the show for me this time was Aun’s dance after getting the proposal accepted & that particular moment when he says ‘Chawwal’ (because this is my favorite word which I use every single time ;)).

Even though Aun thought that after getting married he will have every sort of independence because his family would be least bothered about him – poor thing has forgotten that marriage means more responsibility & an added female in the whole clan which is already filled with soooo many of them. Seems like Aun has already started to have wedding blues. Zara who has never had a chance of living with any such female who could play a pivotal role in life is over-joyed by seeing she’s going to live with so many ladies after marriage. They might think that their marriage will solve many issues that they have – but later, will find out about the new issues that will arise for example ‘The Privacy’. :)

Now we do know what happened between Aun’s mother & his father, but the good thing is that Daadi is more supportive of her Bahu as compared to her own son because she does acknowledge that what he did was completely wrong. One thing that caught my attention & I feel like mentioning it again & again is that how Zara has settled on this marriage issue is really practical & innocent as well. She is for sure relying on her Daada & father’s decision, which is too simple yet sets a nice example as one of a kind.

I can’t wait to see what more is going to happen & how the ladies are going react once they both get married.

Keep Supporting,
Cheers,
Zahra Mirza.

Aun Zara Episode 01 – A Treat!

0

Ohkay, so this is what we call ‘setting a bar high’. The first episode was a treat to watch with a bit more of an insight into every character & for giving us a taste of what we’d be watching ahead. I absolutely enjoyed the beginning & I loved the Punjabi touch added to this, which made it more humorous to watch.

Aun is a pampered baby because he’s the only male child, grandchild & nephew of the whole family. I loved how he had to deal with all the pampering but gets frustrated too. He may want to run away from the routine of his life but all the time he does want to lean on his family whenever he thinks he can not handle the situation. Zara, on the other hand, belongs to an Army background where her whole life is disciplined because of her father. Her father is a person who likes things systematic but Zara does get bored with how her life is.

All the dialogues were written perfectly but a few really made me laugh. I loved how Aun had to spit just because his Daadi thought he had uttered something bad. & all other such incidents added more to it, the morning scene, morning drive, the office scene, the wedding scene & Aun’s call to his mother, the scene where everyone is waiting for him because he was riding a motorbike, the egg – these were the scenes which were done perfectly & were too amusing.

During all this hassle of his life, Aun does have a friend on whom he relies but sadly Aun is so innocent that he just follows the lead of his friend. Aun’s friend has done a great job because he really wants to do good to Aun but just because Aun has always been so pampered & could not make decisions for himself all his life, he blindly follows what his friends says. All the conversations between Aun & his friend were done really well & the best one was when they came to an agreement on how many kids they should have. Aun, all of a sudden plans to get married for the sole reason of getting away with the utmost attention & therefore, wants his family to think about it. After a bit of failed attempts his family does start thinking on this matter as well.

I loved how they have showed the mind-sets of people with different backgrounds, like Aun’s mother being an Urdu-speaker has different expectations & Daadi being a Punjabi wants something else for Aun. They have very subtly touched the matter but definitely not in a bad sense & people can very well relate to it.

The drama may be funny but it does have an emotional baggage to offer. We don’t know why Aun’s Pupho got divorced & where his father is. His mother is too busy in taking care of Aun & pampering him but does have some sadness with her. I just can not wait to see how the drama unfolds because for now & for sure I loved the starting of the drama.

Keep Supporting,
Cheers,
