Insensitivity is very common about minority communities in Pakistan and same is the case for disabled people. Disabilities are either looked down upon or pitied majorly in the society therefore we have not progressed a lot for the community with disabilities economically or socially. Working for the progress of disabled people, creating awareness and creating opportunities for them to get more jobs and get access to every area of life is important. Shabbir Jan a brilliant Pakistani actor who has been working in the industry for many years. He has gotten multiple national awards. The critically acclaimed actor is also famous for his anger issues and strict behaviour. He admitted that he’s short tempered.
Recently, Shabbir Jan revealed the name of the actor with whom he would never work and he also revealed that he didn’t work with her. Talking about a person he won’t work with, he said, “I would not work with Sadia Imam ever in my life because of some issues, actually, there was a time when I felt that things are messing up between us and now it will damage my home, she was getting too much into our family, we were very good friends and we went to northern areas for the shooting of our dramas when she came inside the room and hugged me infront of my wife, it was not a decent gesture from her when my wife already had an idea that we are not this much closer, she didn’t hug my wife and just hugged me, these are the kind of things which always create problems and wives don’t understand things”. He clarified that he had a close friendship with Sadia Imam and there was no affair between them but he took the decision of not working with her as a gesture of respect for his wife. Come, let me give you an award or I can take you to Canada’, I don’t get the criterion, I’m not fond of awards , our award is public. Betiyaan is an Ary Digital’s soap serial which daily aired at 7:00 pm. The serial Betiyaan is a story of daughters who dealt with marital issues. The drama went popular among the audiences and they loved it. The story of the drama has been brought to life by Asma Sayani. The drama is directed by Meesam Naqvi. Shagufta Ejaz has been a big name of the drama industry since the golden days of PTV. She has reigned on harts f millions and she is still as relevant as she was years ago. Shagufta Ejaz is a big name in dramas and now a huge social media star as well with her presence on YouTube where she has come close to her fans and shares her daily routine, her family life and things she has been through in her life.
Shagufta took to her YouTube and shared a very painful condition she has been through. Shagufta said that she has suffered from a skin condition for years where her dry patches would form on her skin and no one was able to diagnose it for ages. It became very difficult for her in her last pregnancy when she had to stop taking an anti-allergy tablet that she used to take to control it.
When everything failed she found a doctor that helped her in that phase and she made a DIY remedy that proved to be a miracle for her. Shagufta shared that she mixed half part olive oil with half part vaseline. This makes a liquid slurry that is a miracle for skin condition, normal dry skin and even chapped lips. Shagufta Ejaz swears by this remedy and has been using it for 14-15 years now.

She added that they have both known each other for over 7 years now and she has taken many flights with her now husband as the pilot.
Maryam shared that it was during one flight when her then future husband proposed to her as he performed a dangerous maneuver. Maryam said yes but her husband thought she was probably scared and upset so he said that he proposed as a joke to make the situation light. That is when Maryam said that she had seriously agreed that he told her that it was a serious proposal after all.
Durrefishan Saleem has recently appeared in “Haute Talk with Amna Isani” in which she talked in detail about her drama serial Kaisi Teri Khudgarzi, she revealed the hidden facts and stories about the most talked about drama. She also talked about difficulties while portraying Mehek’s character.
Talking about script selection, Durrefishan said, “The director Ahmad Bhatti told me synopsis that the story is inspired from a popular drama, it’s a story of innocent girl, people like such stories, he also told that the guy is violently in love with a girl and she’s showing the resentment, I read first 10 episode and I was foreseeing the criticism also it was executed larger than life that’s why it became bigger from what was written. We shot it last year, last year, I had little knowledge about choosing scripts but I knew what I was stepping in”. Here is what she talked about selection of such a script :
Talking about doing Mehek’s character she said that she had difficulty in portraying a simple girl’s character because she’s different in her real life she’s modern, she doesn’t wear duppattas and Shalwar Qameez. She said that the director trained her properly for Mehek. She said she added the little detailings to the character with the help of her director:
Talking about her difficulty playing Mehek with big co-stars, she said, “Mehek was difficult character because I had to do it with expressions and eyes, I had difficulty doing the scene with Nauman Ijaz in last episode because a monologue with Nauman Ijaz was difficult, his one stare can destroy your skills but he’s chill person, he’s helpful. Well, Nauman Ijaz was cool to work with. Working with Danish was difficult, he’s serious with his work, we used to discuss scenes, I also loved working with Danish, when we did the famous candle light scene, we were quite easy with each other, we did that one scene in a whole day. It was difficult. The director took shots from all sides, it went well. We don’t know the little details about what would look good on screen but our director Ahmad Bhatti was intelligent enough and it turned out perfect.”
Talking about the story and playing such a character in future, Durrefishan Saleem said, “I agree that this is the kind of story which should not be told but let me tell you it was a real story, the producer knew the guy who did that and he died, it wasn’t mentioned anywhere but you can ask the details about it from the director, he might be knowing exactly about it, yes I can say that I won’t do such a drama in future but I can’t regret it because I signed the script which wasn’t by force”
Talking about execution of controversial scenes, she said that the directors, actors and team are bound to perform as the production decides the execution on its own, actor and directors have to follow them. In Kaisi Teri Khudgarzi, the cast knew each and every thing about the scenes and execution and the cast questioned it and changed it as well, like Ateeqa Odho didn’t slap on screen. We used to raise question as well but ended up doing scenes.
Talking about the last scene Durrefishan Saleem revealed that the last scene was shot four days prior to the airing of last episode of Kaisi Teri Khudgarzi. She further said that the last monologue was actually satisfying for her as a person. Here is link:
Aamir Liaquat Hussain married three times in his life. He was a politician, scholar as well as a host. His last few years were marred with controversies and his divorces had a huge impact on him mentally and then later on professionally. His brief marriage to his third wife Dania Maliki or Dania Shah ended on a very painful note for the host. Aamir Liaquat’s private videos were leaked on the internet and he was deeply effected by it. Dania at that time had filed for divorce and leaked Aamir’s videos as she called him out on social media. After his death, Dania however, claimed that she was still his wife and should get a share from his property and also became a party to a case filed for exhumation and postmortem of Aamir Liaquat’s body. Syeda Bushra Iqbal has finally spoken up that why she is fighting for Aamir. She said that she is Aamir’s ex-wife and she has nothing to do with his money. However, she wants justice for him as there were many people who were his fans and were hurt by what happened to him. Durrefishan also said, “a lot of people used to ask me after Dilruba, ‘did you get whitening injections?’, just because I was given a tanner look in order to look less beautiful but I was okay with it”.
