The teaser of Faysal Quraishi and Madiha Imam’s upcoming drama serial has been released. The drama will be aired on Geo Tv under the banner of 7th Sky Entertainment productions. It is one of the big project which was previously named as Dil e Momin, however, now, the new name for the drama is under consideration and will be revealed later on . The drama is written by Jahanzeb Qamar who wrote Uraan as well and it is directed by Sheherzade Sheikh. The cast also includes Momal Sheikh, Javed Sheikh, Haris Waheed, Zoha Rehman, Annie Zaidi and Shabbir Jan.

The drama revolves around the unconventional story in which a man will be facing the charges of harassment and his loved ones will abandon him on fake charges by a girl, while he will be leaving his case in the court of God after failing to prove himself innocent.

One of the most versatile and prominent host of Pakistan, Nida Yasir hosted a special show regarding wedding preparations.

Makeup expert Beenish Parvez while giving useful tips regarding Makeup, mentioned that “I will never recommend any bride to buy such huge makeup pallets because they are of no use, they always get wasted. You should discuss with the bride that what kind of makeup she wants and either she’s a makeup person or not, because if she does not like makeup then there is no use of buying such expensive makeup.”

“You should have a basic makeup kit which includes a concealer, makeup remover, sunblock, moisturizer, BB Cream, eyeshade kit, eyelashes, 2 to 3 makeup brushes, blush on and lipstick. That’s all what you need, it’s more than enough”, added Beenish Parvez.

The Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) on Friday directed local television channels to “stop airing caress and hug scenes” in dramas, as it was receiving several complaints against such content.

PEMRA, in a notification, said a “considerable stratum of the society” believes that dramas are not depicting the “true picture” of the Pakistani society. “Hugs/caress scenes/extramarital relations, vulgar/bold dressing, bed scenes, and intimacy of married couple are being glamorised in utter disregard to Islamic teachings and culture of Pakistani society,” the notification said.

PEMRA directed all Satellite TV channels to refrain from airing caress/hug scenes in dramas and properly review the content of the dramas through in house monitoring committee and edit or amend the same by giving due consideration to the reservations and apprehensions of the viewers.

“Forgoing in view, all satellite TV licensees are required to stop airing such content in dramas, henceforth, and ensure compliance of PEMRA laws in letter and spirit,” it added.

Responding to the development, legal and human rights professional Reema Omer said: “PEMRA finally got something right: Intimacy and affection between married couples isn’t ‘true depiction of Pakistani society’ and must not be ‘glamourised’.”

Usman Mukhtar kicked off his wedding festivities on Wednesday with a mayun nearly seven months after his Nikkah in April. He had tied the knot with Zunaira Inam in a simple ceremony due to coronavirus restrictions in Islamabad. Mina Hassan claims that she was moved to share her thoughts on Ali Azmat’s comments upon her followers’ requests. “I got thousands of you today sending messages of how much you love her & that you want me to say something about what someone had to say about her. To that I share one of my favourite quotes “ What you say about me , says more about you”, she added.

She reminded everyone that the freedom of expression is a privilege that should not be exercised “as a means of indignation for another or others.” Hasan believes that as a society, our social fabric has “withered to the whims of egotistical expressions of nothingness, founded in a misplaced sense of self importance and privilege.”

She rebuked the fact that everyone suddenly feels they have the right to humiliate another person clamorously because “I am allowed to express what I feel”. Hasan reminded everyone that “with every privilege exercised, there is a greater need to observe propriety. With every privilege claimed, there is an overwhelming need to observe caution.”

She asked readers to take a moment to “disagree with disgraceful utterances from an interview conducted with a now faded representative of Pakistan’s music industry.” Referring to Azmat as “this person,” she urged everyone to take into account his “unregulated and greatly unjustified tenor, along with his evident lack of intellectual coherence.”

“Not all primates evolved to become better creatures. Some regressed to lower life forms, faded into irrelevance; invoked cheap theatrics to grapple with the fame lost and lived out their remaining days consumed by their insecurities”, she concluded.

Ali Azmat is a Pakistani singer-songwriter and musician. He is best known as the lead singer for the influential Sufi Rock band Junoon. His first band Jupiters was known for performing covers at small gigs in Lahore. While with them, Azmat wrote his legendary hit song Dosti.
