Morning shows in Pakistan do a million things, from promotions to competitions to celebrations to tributes to wedding renditions. One thing that stood out recently was Sanam Jung’s Jago Pakistan Jago yesterday. It was supposedly a pet show, but the animals that graced the sets were far from our usual concepts of the cuddly playful animals that are usually kept as pets.

There were Ayaz Sammo, Benita David and Amir Alvi as guests but the theme of the show was around Adeel, Ibad and Shehzad from Paradise Pets who brought their most unusual pets on the show.

There was a python and a crocodile, which their owners were handling with an amazing ease.

There was also a peacock who was getting quite excited and even jumped on the camera in the first break.

There was also a mix of exotic birds, including the blue green macaw, the African grey parrot and the white parrot.

There were also two very big dry land tortoises who did not come out of the their shells during the duration of the show.

Amir Alvi brought his own pet grey parrot and talked about the cocks and the dogs that he keeps at home. Benita loved his parrot and kept it on her hand for most of the time.

One of the pet owners, Ibad ur Rehman had brought his young son who kept the python around his neck and was very comfortable like that.

Sanam Jung, however was quite uncomfortable during the whole show. First she was not sitting down due to the peacock’s jumping that it was doing on the sets. She was also on guard from parrots that kept roaming on the floor. When the guests tried to get her to hold the python and the crocodile, she made funny excuses like she is not fearful and that she can easily hold but just does not want to. Also that maybe it is motherhood or something but she is not as brave and adventurous as she was before marriage. Her discomfort around the animals was very obvious and frankly, who can blame her. In fact, we want to salute her courage for being able to complete the show she was sharing with such unusual pets.

We are not big on animals here, but surely animal lovers must have found it quite enjoyable and informative.

The Legends Of Maula Jatt is a Pakistani Punjabi language action drama film directed and written by Bilal Lashari, produced by Ammara Hikmat under production banner of Encyclomedia. Yumna Zaidi has been giving back to back hits with Ishq Zah e Naseeb, Dar Si Jati Hai Sila, Pyar Ke Sadqay, Sinf e Aahan, Dil Na Umeed To Nahi and Parizaad. She is now a days seen in Bakhtawar as the titular character and once again blowing everybody’s minds with her strong presence.

Yumna Zaidi played the beloved Annie in Parizaad and all the fans were routing for Annie and Parizaad specially since Ahmed Ali Akbar and Yumna Zaidi make a hit pair together. She played the role of a blind girl to perfection. Parizaad was a huge phenomena and it became so big that the last episode was screened in cinemas and was trending worldwide.

But Yumna Zaidi was not very happy with the screening of last episode in cinemas. Yumna had to travel and could not attend the premiere as she had to travel to the USA as her mom’s health deteriorated. But she was super nervous that people will watch her on a big screen. Thus, Yumna Zaidi was not at all comfortable.

Nida Yasir recently revealed in an interview that her husband Yasir Nawaz was against her joining morning shows. He thought that the morning shows history was checkered as most anchors on shows had broken marriages which scared him. Anum Fayyaz and her husband Asad shared all the details regarding their relationship and marriage with Sanam Baloch on her morning show. No one knew till now why there was a two year gap between Anum and Asad’s nikkah and rukhsati so Sanam asked them this question. The couple answered all the questions in detail.

Anum told Sanam that her mother was unwell and the nikkah was not planned by the couple themselves, this was not their decision. Anum said that it was Asad’s mother’s wish and her mother’s wish too that nikkah should be done early and that it should be done in Makkah. Anum and Asad shared this amazing experience and how they felt tying the knot in such a blessed place.

Anum said that her mother passed away before her rukhsati but she prepared her for everything beforehand. She said that her mother did all the preparations for the wedding and told her where everything was and how everything should be done. Anum said that they never planned to do the nikkah so early but they were glad that it was done when her mother was still with her. Anum says that her brothers and sisters are younger than her so for them now her house is like a second home.

Kashif Mehmood was a guest on Hasna Mana Hai and shared how being vocal on politics has affected his career. He added that workwise he has not gone through much but he was arrested after he took part in an anti-government protest. He was taken into custody and Sohail Ahmed bailed him out.
