Nobody seems happy with Iman Aly’s recent interview, where she not only made a lot of revelations but also made a number of blunt and distasteful remarks about a number of people from the industry.

Iman not only ridiculed fellow actors Mahira and Fawad who have been immensely successful in Pakistan and across the border but also called out models for not speaking English.

However, Iman’s interview didn’t go down well with a lot of people. Ex model and now PR queen Frieha Altaf called out Iman for her distasteful comments, saying she was surprised at the publicity stunt Iman pulled.

“Im extremely surprised in Iman Ali’s behavior. She demeans not just models but criticized Mahira khan & Fawad Khan.A cheap publicity stunt as she has a movie coming up.Shame on anyone who ridicules success with condescension,” wrote Frieha on her Twitter.

Frieha’s comments were backed by top designer Maheen Khan, who said Iman had revealed her true calibre.

“In the end Iman Ali will be the looser as she has revealed her true calibre. Very very sad,” she wrote.

Frieha also stated that she had been surprised because she knew Iman.

When someone said Iman had the freedom to express her opinion, Frieha added that it wasn’t in good taste to pass such absurd comments especially on fellow actors who had been more successful. She said it was unclassy of Iman and showed insecurity and lack of tact.

Asma Abbas in an interview shared the story of her daughter Zara Noor Abbas. As her daughter, never had the permission to work in showbiz and she struggled for it.

However, Zara Noor Abbas had a keen interest to work in dramas and films but her father never allowed her.

Later, Asad Siddiqui came in her life and everything completely changed for her. Asma Abbas shared the story of how Zara Noor Abbas and Asad Siddiqui got married.

Asma Abbas shared, “Zara went for an audition in Karachi and that was the time when she met Asad. When she came back home she asked for my permission whether she can talk to Asad on the phone or not? so, I allowed her.”

“Later on, she told me Asad proposed her and without delaying he came with his family to ask for Zara’s hand.”

Nausheen Shah in her interview talked about how in Pakistan there is no respect for artists.

She said, “One thing which hurts me is that our famous and respectable artists when they are alive nobody gives them any work.”

“But when they die people earn money from it by making programs on them on news channels, morning shows, why?”

She gave the example of Qandeel Baloch because when she was alive nobody offered her any work but as soon as she died a drama named ‘Baaghi’ was produced on her life journey.

“When Qandeel Baloch was alive you abused her but when she died you made a drama on her,” she said.

Nausheen Shah further added, “It’s extremely sad and alarming. In foreign countries they don’t do this they provide enough facilities to their artists.”

“Our artists are even begging on the streets because they don’t have any work.”

About Raees not releasing in Pakistan, Mahira shared, “I believe if Raees had released on a different time, it wouldn’t have been banned in Pakistan because there are only a handful of people deciding it and sometimes they take decisions on issues that are not directly linked with the film as well.”

Famous Pakistani actress Ayesha Omar opened up about how she still has not paid for many of her past projects by leading media houses.

The Bulbulay actress worked in a drama serial for Geo TV Network but she still received no payment for her work.

She said, “A lot of people have big amounts of money stuck with major organisations. The problem is, if we make too much noise, we are termed as ‘difficult’.”

“The Geo Network owes me a huge amount for a soap that I acted in for them ages ago.”

The Kaaf Kangna actress further said, “Indus Music is yet to pay me a large chunk of money. I wasted three years of my life on the film Yalghaar and I still haven’t been paid in full for it.”

This is not the first time that she had to struggle for her own money but recently she was also not paid for anything at PISA Awards 2020.

According to Ayesha Omar, the PISA organizers promised to pay for everything but in the end, they didn’t pay for anything even for her meal and return ticket.

Ayesha Omar approached the PISA organizers again and again for her money but they didn’t respond at all.

Salman Shaikh who is known as Mani talked about the secret behind the success of his second marriage with Hira. In an interview, he talked about his first marriage as well.

She said, “We all are talking about lockdown but we have to prepare for reopening.”

“In the mosques, walk-through disinfectants must be installed from now so that people get prepared for reopening.”

Nadia Hussain added, “We are not getting prepared for reopening we are only enforcing lockdown which I would say wrong. We need to enforce lockdown but in the meantime, we need to focus on extremely stringent measures which we need to enforce”.

Hina Khan jumped in the conversation and said, “Mera jism meri marzi means if I don’t want to talk to any person I will not. If I am not saying yes for any work it’s my own choice, nobody can force it.”

She further added and said, “I think its a long debate and it will go on.”

Nimra Khan added another point in the debate and said, “I think its fight for equality and women have the option to go out or not to earn money but it is compulsory for men to earn. So, they are struggling and they have their journey.”
