Drama serial Meray Paas Tum Ho has broken all records when it comes to any television play getting the most ratings ever. The drama, has had record breaking viewership and now with its impending finale to be screened in cinemas across Pakistan, people are going berserk purchasing tickets for the drama, more than the sale of any film tickets in the recent months.
What makes Meray Paas Tum Ho more special for the audience is the treatment given to the characters of the drama by the playwright Khalil ur Rehman Qamar. Talking about the last episode of Meray Paas Tum Ho and speculations about killing off Danish’s character, Khalil ur Rehman Qamar recently told EPK that there might just be a happy ending for Meray Paas Tum Ho.
“Pray that this time I do a happy ending. I was in airport yesterday where a group of girls stopped me and said Khalil sir, we heard you are killing the character of Danish, please do not kill him! I said, Fear God what are you talking about, this is only a story, and you should treat it like a story! However it seemed like they will start crying if I say Danish will die,” stated KRQ.
“This time, I want my record to break. I hope no character dies. However, I can confirm this, when I last said that Danish will be murdered, I was only messing with you people! There will be no murder, Danish will live. I have written a very soft play this time so if God wills things will go as you want them to go,” said the writer further giving the audience some hopes of having a happy ending for Danish.
However, on an ending note, Khalil ur Rehman Qamar did add that the viewers should keep their medications by their side because whatever happened wouldn’t be his responsibility, igniting the curiosity of the audience once again.
The last episode of Meray Paas Tum Ho airs on 25th January and until then, we keep our fingers crossed for a happy ending.

Faisal Rehman is an actor who made a mark for himself even when Pakistani film and television industry was barely thriving. The actor has a number of challenging roles to his credit from the past and now has resumed performing on television, delivering commendable performances in a number of projects. In fact Faisal’s recent performance alongside Hina Altaf in Gumrah was appreciated by the masses, where Faisal received a lot of hate because of his character.
Recently, Faisal appeared on Iffat Omar’s digital talk show and talked about a number of things, amongst which he expressed how he found every actress overrated, be it from Lollywood or Bollywood.

We Pakistani actors, because we haven’t learnt from a method or pattern, because we don’t set Amitabh Bachchan or Dilip Kumar as our benchmark, we have versatility because we self learn,” said Faisal.
“I can challenge or compete with anyone in acting and I would definitely win with big margins,” Faisal added stating that Pakistani actors including him were better than Indian actors because they had self learned the art of acting.
On a lighter side, Faisal quipped but confidently stated, “If the Kashmir Issue would have to be resolved over acting, Pakistan would win Kashmir any day because of its talented actors.”

The second last episode of the cult classic Meray Paas Tum Ho didn’t give away any hint. In fact the episode didn’t offer anything at all; just showed Mehwish possessing loads and loads of regret.
However, now, that we have the promo of the last episode, we’re certain, we’ll all have our hearts broken by the end of the episode. The promo of Meray Paas Tum Ho’s last episode dropped only recently and we’re shown Danish speaking the formidable words, “Wahan jaon ga tu mujh se wapas nahi aaya jai ga,” which roughly translates to I won’t be able to come back if I go there.

Recently, the Punjab Nahi Jaungi actress schooled Pakistani-Canadian columnist Tarek Fatah for misrepresenting a scene from her film Load Wedding.
Tarek Fatah, is known for his Twitter presence against Pakistan and Islam. The troll recently posted a video on his Twitter in which a woman is seen refusing a polio worker’s request to inoculate her child.
Upon finding the tweet, Mehwish Hayat was quick enough to point out and school Fatah for the blunder he had caused.
“Thank u for giving ur 2 cents on this but pls first verify the source b4 posting next time. It’s a scene frm my movie”loadwedding”,the polio worker is me & that woman an actress.Through the film we were raising awareness of the issue.Glad 2 see our performances were so convincing,” wrote Mehwish on her Twitter.
Although it turned out to be a rather embarrassing moment for Fatah, he didn’t acknowledge his error nor Mehwish’s correction. But what is interesting is the fact that the tweet was deleted around midday.
Good going Mehwish, keep calling out these trolls and embarrassing them for trying to tarnish Pakistan’s image. Hats off to you and your efforts.
Famous host and actor Ahsan Khan is going to appear in a new project named Bandhay Aik Dor Say. The star-studded drama serial will air in March. It stars Ahsan Khan, Ushan Shah, Hina Altaf, Saba Faisal, Saba Hameed, and Madiha Rizvi.
In an interview, Ahsan Khan revealed details about his coming project. He said, “The serial is a family drama centered around the life of a single-family with eight to 10 members.”
The drama revolves around many characters, not just a hero and heroine. He revealed, “It’s not just centered around a guy and a girl; there’s a love track, of course, but that’s not all it’s about. It includes the character of my dadi, played by Samina Ahmed, as well as my taee, played by Saba Hameed and my mother, played by Saba Faisal.”
He further revealed the story of his play and said, “It’s a nice family play. I would call it a simple story, with well-knitted small moments, small gestures in [the lives of] a middle-class joint family.”
The show is going to have a story of a typical joint family and the happy moments they have in spite of having family issues.

Furqan Qureshi is playing an important role in the drama serial Mere Paas Tum Ho. Furqan Qureshi is playing the role of Salman who is a close and a mutual friend of Danish and Mehwish.
Furqan Qureshi talked about his working experience in MPTH and how he got the role and much more in an interview.
He shared about how he got the role and said, “The director Nadeem Baig was exercising with me in the gym so I used to say to him lets do some work together and finally one day he told me that he is doing a play. I said yes to it instantly because of his projects are always good. He called me in his office and told me tho whole story and I was really excited but a little bit reluctant too.”
He talked about this experience of working with Rehmat Ajmal who is playing the role Ayesha. He shared, “She was not an experienced actor because she is a model. I used to say to her on set and I am saying it again that she did great work. She did really well and I am impressed.”
He also talked about why he is interfering in the personal lives of Mehwish and Danish. Furqan said, “In the drama, we are interfering in the lives of Danish and Mehwish because Mehwish asked us to do so. We four are university friends and we are just helping Danish and Mehwish and keeping up with the friendship.”
This drama has touched Furqan personally and he shared, “Yes, appreciation and love you receive in any form then you accept it. Like I am recognized as a stock exchange guy this is also an appreciation. Its the love that is coming in. I am becoming humble because when you get love and acceptance it makes you happy.”
On asking upon if he had the choice to do the role of Danish and Shehwaar? He said, “I would have done Shehwaar’s character because I would have enjoyed it more.”
He also talks about the ending of drama and said, “I am telling the end is not for soft-hearted people. I f you have a weak heart don’t watch it just ask from someone. The ending is going to be dangerous. You will remember the ending.”

Currently awaiting the release of Sarmad Khoosat’s Kamli, seems like Saba Qamar has gone on to signing her next cinematic outing for the year 2020.
According to Galaxy Lollywood, Saba Qamar will next be seen in a mass entertainer being produced by Jamil Baig and Hassan Zia under the banners of JB Films & Mastermind Films. The yet to be titled film will be penned down by Mohsin Ali and directed by Saqib Khan of Hazaar Dastaan Films. Saba Qamar has expressed her excitement about the project stating how it will be very different, “hatkay” as its quoted.
Talking to Galaxy Lollywood, Saba stated that the film is a complete mass entertainer with lots of commercial elements in it. This happens to be the very same project which had Bilal Ashraf in talks with Hassan Zia. With Imran Abbas and Sadia Khan in the lead, drama serial Khuda Aur Mohabbat aired back in 2011. The drama gained a cult following with its first season thanks to Hashim Nadeem’s engaging story and how the actors brought the narrative to life.

The drama, based on the novel of the same name by Hashim Nadeem, was divided in two parts, with the second season bringing in actress Kubra Khan alongside Imran Abbas as the main lead.
It was then reported that a third season for Khuda Aur Mohabbat was under consideration but that it wouldn’t star Imran Abbas as the lead. Moreover, a new director would replace the last one for the new season. However, the project faced delays as Babar Javed was replaced by Abdullah Kadwani as the head of Geo TV putting Khuda Aur Mohabbat on hold.
But now, everything has been resolved and we have the final cast and crew of Khuda Aur Mohabbat season three which has also started filming in royal locations of Bahawalpur.
The new season, director by Syed Wajahat Hussain will star Iqra Aziz, Feroze Khan and Junaid Khan in the lead. It seems like actor Javed Sheikh and Sunita Marshall will also be playing some roles in the drama.

Recently the grapevine was ripe with the news of veteran actress Bushra Ansari tying the knot with Ghughi famed director Iqbal Hussain. Although nobody knows what caused the rumors to spring, it did spread like wildfire, causing a huge uproar.
Later Iqbal Hussain himself came forward and denied the rumors stating, “This is a baseless rumor and people should not pay heed to such false news! Such news should be verified before being published but sadly it is not the case.”
Bushra Ansari, was previously married to renowned director producer Iqbal Ansari. The duo had tied the knot back in 1978 and continued with a long and successful marriage before finally opting for a divorce.

The renowned writer Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar is often in the news for his controversial statements. Recently, the rumor of his second marriage with Kaaf Kangna actress Eshal Fayyaz went viral on social media.
Actress and model Eshal Fayyaz came out and denied all the rumors regarding her marriage with Khalil-ur-Rehman. The Mere Paas Tum Ho writer also in an interview with Express Tribune denied all the rumors and said that this is propaganda to associate him with ‘such girls’.
Qamar said, “I strongly reject all such rumors as sheer propaganda. I am happy and satisfied in my life and also request everyone spreading these claims to not associate my name with such second-rate women.”

There is bad news for the fans of Mere Paas Tum Ho that the final episode of MPTH will not be aired this week. The finale episode will be grand and it will air on 25th January from 8 pm to 10 pm.
ARY has decided to make the experience of the audience more exciting, it has decided to screen the finale in all major cinemas in Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad.
The special screening will be attended by the cast of MPTH at Neuplex cinema, Karachi. The episode will be screened in cinemas and will be aired on TV simultaneously.

If there was one person in the Pakistani entertainment industry that we’d have to refer to as a creative genius, it would be none other than Sarmad Sultan Khoosat. Khoosat has redefined the term entertainment in Pakistan by bringing across high quality and valuable content for the Pakistani audience, giving them something they can not only relate too, but feel as well.
Sarmad’s film Manto, has been a big hit and so have his dramas, starting right from Humsafar that will complete a decade next year. For someone, who appears to be deeply immersed in his work, having created something as beautiful and as deeply romantic as Humsafar, isn’t really a big deal if it happens to be someone like Sarmad Khoosat.
And since, because he himself was deeply in love at that time, Humsafar got the best treatment from Khoosat, as he himself expressed in a recent interview with Samina Peerzada.
But that’s not the only thing Khoosat talked about. The ace director and actor also opened up about his marriage and divorce to Samina Peerzada telling her how he had been only nikkahfied at the age of 27.
“We have a relative who keeps budging me to get married again since I’ll soon be 40,” said the Manto actor.
Adding further, Khoosat stated, “Well I did get married (only nikkah) at the age of 27 because I felt it was right at that time. But then later on I felt it wasn’t right and I wasn’t cut out of that so we decided to call it quits.”
Mentioning that it was only a nikkah and nothing had gone wrong yet, Sarmad said he told his family it wouldn’t really work out for him. “I told her “I’m done with you,” thrice in front of my family. But since I had given my wife the right of divorce as well so the divorce deed that we have is filed from her side,” said Sarmad.
Currently, Sarmad states he’s in a relationship and has been enjoying all its phases. On the work front, the director awaits the release of his next film, Zindagi Tamasha, while he works on the other, titled Kamli, with ace actress Saba Qamar in the lead.
