Ohkay so it was another fast paced episode with so much happening & next to zero room for boredom. I enjoyed watching this episode but had my fair share of giggles too.

Zara has finally decided that she wants out of this marriage & I feel that’s the right thing she’s doing because she just couldn’t earn the respect of her husband so why waste her life for a man like that? Very conveniently Jazib didn’t even try to talk her out of her decision & then easily blamed Zara in front of Khala that she was the one at fault. Why didn’t Jazib tell her how he used to belittle her & underestimate her? Khala Masooma very easily told Dua that whatever happened was destined to happen & it didn’t happen because of Dua so she isn’t at fault but then whenever she got the opportunity to make a point, she told Jazib how bechari Dua was & how her name was being pulled in their own marital problems. Khala kept on saying ‘log kya kahainge, log kya kahainge’ & I kept on wondering where were the ‘log’ she is so worried about? I didn’t see anyone else ever intrude in their issues?

I am not too sure but looks like Khala Masooma is two faced. I don’t know what her name is but I am going to name her Khala Masooma because she portrays herself as soooo masoom that even an innocent baby might feel ashamed, so yes, for that, Khala Masooma is the right name for Khala Masooma.

I actually felt for the kids a lot when Zara tells them she is getting separated from Jazib. The kids took it pretty well but later on spoke to each other how much they missed their mother. It was actually very touchy & goes to show the effect these sort of issues have on the kids. I feel Saba Qamar acted really well in this whole episode & she has been actually successful in making us all feel a thing for the character of Zara more than anybody else’s.

I lol’ed when Zara tells Dua ‘tum Jazib k liye rotiyaan pakao’ & then Dua scurries to her mother telling her how ungrateful Zara is. I mean Khala Masooma knows that Dua’s entry in Jazib & Zara’s life hit the last nail on the coffin so why is she persistent in stating & then believing the otherwise. Even Dua keeps on telling her mother that nothing happened because of her & it’s like they know they have played an important part in the separation of Zara & Jazib but they are choosing to ignore the fact completely & they are pep-talking themselves that they ain’t responsible.

I didn’t even like when Khala Masooma told Jazib ‘Dua se shadi kaun karega?’. I mean please, she knows Jazib has called his dibs on Dua so why is she masoomiyat-ly posing a question to him? Even now when she knows that her husband has asked her to come back, she doesn’t want to go, which she should’ve done the moment she found out that Zara has left & Jazib has become a khulla sandh once again. Later when Jazib told her she must leave she goes like ‘Allah ki zameen bari hai’ & I was like there she goes again, Khala masooma with her masoomiyat that she even knows how to mend the situation in her favor by emo-blackmailing her damaad-to-be. I know she is sweet & masoom & what-not but she is unreal, lol!

Jazib’s last words in the episode had me rolling my eyes. He moved on a tinsy bit quickly then we thought. It was like he was awaiting this to happen & since it happened, he ceased the opportunity & grabbed the best available short order cook he had in his sights. I am dreading that the story which has been fast paced ever since it began might derail & lose the pace but if that doesn’t happen, I am sure we’d remain entertained  by the bunch of masoom people. Let’s see what happens next.

Aha! I’ve got news for my regular readers, I’ve got a naim-o-badal for Mujhe Khuda Pe Yakeen Hai in the form of Izteraab. Can’t wait to share some therapeutic laughing fits with you all.

Jazib is a cocky prude who finds it really hard if a roti has thick corners & is rolled a bit thinly in the middle. He can’t do without Imli ki chutney even if it costs him his molar (tooth). Sorry, but I find Jazib more annoying. I agree that he has told Zara a lot of times that she doesn’t need to go out of the house to earn a living but I think it’s his duty to make her realize it that too gently & politely. He needs to make it all worth giving a shot & needs to make it appealing that if she stays at home, it would benefit them both. But the way he shoots her with tauntful arrows, any girl would run away & would find peace in the hours away from home. He is one of those annoying husbands who are not only glutton & foody but are also annoying eaters who find it really hard to appreciate what they are served with at the dining table. He must be sleeping when his parents & teachers were teaching him ethics all his life.

What’s with Dua’s fixation to J for Jazib & J for Jee. If they want to throw reality on us then Dua should’ve addressed him as Jazib Bhai because I have seen so many girls who in their wildest dreams had never thought they’d get married to their cousins who they had all their life referred to as XYZ BHAI but the moment the wedding was fixed, Bhai word was thrown out of the window. I feel it would’ve looked more realistic to show that Dua had no intention of that sorts but it was Jazib who started getting swayed by her cooking command but right now it looks that Khala has very tactfully trained her bholi Dua to impress the bhukkar Jazib.

I think we are going to see a lot of conversations in this drama happening around the dining table where the point of discussion would start off with parathas, then go on to gulabi chai, then allu k pakore then imli ki chutney. Ohkay fine, we get it! Zara ain’t a good cook & Dua can cook everything she can even evaporate a married man’s relationship with his wife, she is that good of a cook but what’s the point of making a point again & again where Jazib mentions a single thing & Dua scurries to the kitchen as a short order cook. If she is so passionate about it, why not just stay in the kitchen then!

They may want to establish the fact that Zara is falling short on her responsibilities but I feel she is trying really hard to keep everything intact. They have shown a fact brilliantly that people take career-oriented women as heartless & emotionless whereas despite the fact that they are strong headed, they need moral & emotional support too. They long for some appreciative words but here seems like Jazib prefers Paratha over Partner. They may want to show that working women are weak & are a bad mother & wife but sorry I side with Zara completely. Jazib’s being a pain & why does he always think that by openly taunting & comparing Zara to Dua, he can getaway from the mess by giving it a name of a joke. Whatever he said about Dua wasn’t just a mere joke but it was coming straight from his heart. He didn’t even have a courtesy to keep his feelings to himself but blurted everything out in front of Naani & even his Khala. Khala waisay to bari samajhdaar banti hain but in baton pe gugu kyu ban jati hain? Can’t she see Dua’s being over attentive towards Jazib & even if she scolded her, Dua’s frowning face was enough of an evidence to show Khala what her real feelings for Jazib are. Sorry, I am not buying this bhola-pan of Dua that she herself doesn’t know what her feelings are, no one in this date is such a gaye (except Romaisa of Mohabbat Subha Ka Sitara Hai, of course)!!!

Let’s wait for the next episode to find out what else does Jazib like to eat & what else can Dua cook for her Jazib JEEEEE!!!

Oh god! Even though I don’t want to sound to rude but I really think it’s about time that the character of Zara dies peacefully. There’s no need to linger on the hope of her life because it’s unbeneficial after all. The story has become stagnant & seems like the team is in no mood to pack up. Finally & sluggishly they have managed to cross the mark of 20+ episodes, which for them might be some sort of a milestone but for us; the viewers, it nothing short of a punishment to be honest!

Jazib Jee now wishes that none of it should’ve happened between him & Zara as he has fallen in love with his first wife all over again, but I guess he is forgetting that a mean guy like him wouldn’t know how to survive alone on his own & take care of kids & for that reason he needed Dua in his life. Now that Jazib knows that he has Dua who is taking care of his kids & his home & just because she is sharing his burdens & responsibilities, he is tension free & has a free mind to focus on rekindling his love for his strong-headed, determined wife; whose determination was something that he hated the most as she was too determined to be wasting her time in making garam garam rotis for him.

Dua has started to feel alienated obviously because even though she took Jazib’s kids & his home as her responsibility, she still feels that she is falling short because Jazib is completely overlooking her efforts & her contribution in his life. To him, all what matters is Zara & that’s it & in this scenario Dua is politely absorbing it all, which she shouldn’t because she isn’t entitled to it.

Seems like the writer is so in love with Zara that she doesn’t want her to die (so why did she bring in the whole disease issue in the first place) because after wasting 7 – 8 episodes, Jazib is now going for second or third opinions for Zara’s case. I think they should’ve dealt with it ages ago when they were wasting episodes on Sofia’s rebellion & her love-flick. They should’ve dealt with it way before rather than wasting time on the forced negativity & hatred that Zara was feeling for Dua & the time she was wasting in insulting her. Now that everything’s done & dusted & Zara is ready to die, Jazib swooped in with some miraculous news of a Japanese drug that a Japanese company is preparing for those patients who have a certain type of c~~~~~ that Zara is suffering from.

At first Zara feels she has given up every single hope & now wants to depart but Jazib is hell bent on making her agree for the trial. As per the doctor, Zara & Jazib need to submit an application to the company so that they can hand over some drug to Zara as she has no other option left which means that there’s still some scope of drama left before Zara actually breathes her last breath.

As shown in the preview, Zara feels she wants to live & now will also have an issue with Dua because she feels she can’t share her boring husband with Dua anymore. How convenient right? I feel they should’ve named her as Tissue/Toilet Paper instead of Dua as everybody seems to be using her just so casually & now when they’ve used her pretty much, they’re ready to dump her out of their lives.

For the love of dramas, I wish this petty drama comes to an end because it’s just a mood spoiler & nothing else. To be honest, I don’t care if Zara lives or dies, I just want a Wednesday prime slot free of this crap so that it can be filled with at least something tad bit tolerable & watchable. Share your feelings & your wishes of how much you want to see her or Jazib dead!

I remember watching ‘We’re Family’ while I was doing household chores & that movie seemed boring & never-ending. The reason for why I am talking about the Bollywood movie here is that a story which was told in 2 hours had a capability of looking dull & dragged, so just imagine how puuuurfect would’ve been the idea of stretching it till 18+ episodes.

I am really not understanding the point of not ending this drama at a izzat-able note. To be honest, I was expecting that this would be the last episode but the moment I saw a numbering to it in the beginning, it just ruined my whole mood. Practically & honestly, they are left with nothing, absolutely nothing to show but they are just now torturing us to tell us how attentively they’ve copied the story of Step Mom & We’re Family. They’re punishing us for the sin we haven’t committed. They’re bothering us so that we can’t sleep peacefully at night just because we all, in a manhoos-ghari thought of giving this play a go.

I mean, to be honest, I never thought any such dialogue would seem to be a riddle to me in this plain & dull drama, but Khala Masooma has proved me wrong. Honestly, I confess & I surrender that I never understand what she says, why she says it & what does she mean? For once, she is trying to make Dua understand that she’s a soteli ma to Jazib’s kids, then she is reminding her of her duties, then she is trying to make Dua realize that she will always be like an external entity to this family & then she is telling Jazib to understand Zara’s perspective? My only question is, what is Khala Masooma doing in this drama apart from pulling off this hawas-bakhta expression on her face? & why is she so important?

Zara has accepted Dua ages ago & sorry to say even now I am waiting for her to leave this family & world alone. She is actually losing all the sympathy votes, which she might’ve earned, one by one. Zara has accepted Dua & as a gesture, she gifted her a suit, added her in a family photo, so what’s left to be settled?

On Khala Masooma’s not so Masoom ghuzarish, Jazib thought he’d shower the unnecessary love on Zara & now when that’s settled, can someone ask Khala Masooma why’s she hell-bent on making her daughter’s life miserable? Dua seems pretty happy & settled in her life, but seems like Khala Masooma has got nothing better to do, so she is just passing her time with the constant nagging reminders of an unseen complexity of Dua & Jazib’s relation. Dua has proven herself to be a very wise & mature young girl & she definitely doesn’t take it after her mother because Khala Masooma is….

In the next episode’s preview, Zara demands spending time with Dua? Hasn’t she done that already? She has been with her ever since she moved to Jazib’s place, so what was she doing all this while? Hasn’t Zara spent enough time with Dua at home already that now she feels spending a time in a restaurant will solve all the non-existent mysteries of her life? Please, I request Hum TV to cut this drama, chop out the scenes, edit the ending & end this drama ASAP or else I’ll pray that Khala Masooma haunts you all in your dreams.

What I ain’t getting about the story of this drama is the unnecessary delay in Zara’s death & the final episode? I think they’ve sorted out every single detail so far, so why aren’t we seeing the ending of this play? I find it absolutely pointless that now when they’ve got nothing left, they’re revisiting all the emotions of hatred, jealousy & all that jazz Zara felt for Dua in the beginning.

I mean I find it pointless that now when they’re left with nothing they are making the kids a focal point of the worry for Zara too. I know it’s realistic,  any mother would be worried about her kids but then we have already seen Zara entrusting the responsibility of her kids to Dua, so what’s with the unnecessary procrastination?

It’s absolutely getting ridiculous to see Zara worrying about her kids thinking they aren’t being taken care of but t I think she has already seen Dua taking care of them & she is doing a better job as a step-mom than Zara; a bio-mom, so why’s Zara worried now? She herself admitted that she sees Dua as a very strong person & she feels she can rest in peace knowing her kids are lucky that they found a mom like Dua, so bas abb ankhain band bhi kar lo? Zara got enough assurance from Jazib, from Dua, from her nameless friend & also from Khala Masooma, so I find it absurd that they are once again revolving the whole story around kids for no good reason.

I think the unnecessary drag in the story will force everyone to snap out of the sympathy they once had or felt for the character of Zara or even this whole family because to be honest, I am getting irritated by the slowness of this drama. I saw no point in the arrival of Khala Masooma because what’s good left in there for her? All those mind-boggling & annoying confessions of Khala Masooma weren’t doing anything to add more to the experience of this drama. Yes, the only thing that made sense was when she tried to make Zara understand that she herself has lead a life without her parents, so her worry seems pointless as The Creator will take care of her kids. With this I hope Zara finds some peace & stops worrying about her kids.

I was hoping that next would be the last episode of this drama but I still see no signs of it. Somebody please tell me that next episode marks the end of this play because it is actually getting tedious to tune into this play as they’ve got literally nothing left to cover that too especially after Khala Masooma’s lecture to Zara. I hope they had edited & cut-short some of the scenes because each & every scene of this drama seems never-ending, it actually puts you to sleep because everything seems just so slow as if they’re living in a slow-motion, phew! Hmmm, actually nothing much happened in this episode but they still managed to move the story forward. I am not sure why but the slow approach in every episode is kind of putting me off. I know the scenario that they’re dealing with can’t be shown in a happening way but even the needless pauses & slow coach conversations force me to forward some of the scenes & I can’t help it.

Jazib has found out that Zara’s disease has taken a bad turn & she hasn’t got much time left. He speak to Dua about it while making sure he made her feel needed & important too. That was the only good thing Jazib must’ve done for Dua. Even though Dua is young & a newly wedded but still she is dealing with everything with perfection. She takes care of Zara & her tantrums, she has connected well with Sofia. It’s like now Zara can’t speak to Sofia about what she feels but Dua can be very open with her.

Through Sofia, Zara has pretty much understood that she has got a few days left but just when I thought she’d throw a hissy fit on Dua especially for sharing unnecessary details with her daughter, she surprised me by completely ignoring it because she knows whatever Dua said was not intended to make Sofia or Zara hurt but she was just trying to prepare Sofia to face the reality. Zara has clearly gone weak but she thought she could manage a day-out with her daughter. It was sad to see that a person who was so independent is now actually dependent on the people around her & she can’t even do things on her own.

Dua’s plan of surprising Zara to make her happy was another heartfelt gesture. Zara is getting all the love she couldn’t even imagine of because not only Jazib but even Dua is concerned for her. It was good to see that Zara has actually pretty much understood that now her whole family is dependent on Dua & she is actually doing her part really well because Zara can clearly see the bonding her kids share with Dua & how Jazib is relaxed because he knows he has someone responsible to lean on in regards to his family.

I thought next episode would mark the ending of this drama but going by the preview, I don’t think so. I am dreading seeing a couple of more episodes of this drama because practically they’re left with nothing in the story to show us except Zara’s death & how her family copes up with it & leads a life without her. I hope this drama ends soon without a further a due. Share your thoughts on this.

Ohkay, even though I found this episode very slow in terms of pace but the conversations by the end of the episode & those honest confessions of Zara were a perfect compensation for it. Seems like they asked us to invest our time in this episode so in return they gave us something to feel for the female characters at least.

In the beginning of the episode, I didn’t really get why Jazib was just so upset that just like a faffay kuttni, he reminded Dua of being a sautan to Zara? That just wasn’t appropriate especially coming from someone who knows how much Zara felt uncomfortable in Dua’s presence & how Dua was constantly being insulted by Zara. I think at least they should’ve shown Jazib as a rational person rather than just being someone who was responsible for getting these two ladies in one house. I wish he was sane enough to understand what each one of them was going through emotionally. For now, his priority is Zara; for the obvious reasons of course but that doesn’t mean that he can force Dua to do things out of the way to please his first wife? Dua has been patient & has taken care of everything pretty wisely but that doesn’t give him a right to misunderstand his 2nd wife just so easily.

Dua at least tried to bring a smile to Zara’s face but Zara’s phone call to Khala was just so odd. Zara has always been so upfront about what she felt for Khala but now all of a sudden she sighted the mood to thank Khala for calling Dua to Sialkot so that Zara can spend some time with her family? As far as what I know about Zara, she is someone who doesn’t really bother much about what others are thinking & doing so the whole calling-khala scene seemed quite pointless to be honest. Anyways, she found out about Dua & her supposed jhoot, but the way she reacted was once again annoying. I mean who stays so confrontational all the time? Is it really so important not to just be calm about any situation & literally be upset about every single thing? I feel as much as Zara has disliked Dua, she should’ve been satisfied for not seeing her face for the whole day but still she made sure she spent some time in reminding Dua about how jhooti she was.

Finally, Sofia made sure she clarified Dua’s image & made Zara understand that whatever Dua did was to make her happy & I am glad that the conversation with Sofia gave Zara an idea about Dua’s sincere feelings. Zara’s conversation with Jazib made me think that it would’ve been a lot better if Jazib & Zara had spoken on these lines before they rushed out of each other’s lives. It was actually just so easy all this while too given the history of them being totally in love with each other. Zara & Jazib could’ve sorted out their issues but seems like no one was bothered & there was a communication gap that too pretty unconvincing.

Anyways, the ordeal has made Zara understand that her family is in safe hands because Dua is a selfless person. Zara has learnt it the hard way but she now knows that she wasn’t there for her kids as much as she should’ve been but just because Dua’s always going to be there. She now understands how important it is to acknowledge her efforts & appreciate her for all the things she is doing for her family. The last conversation of Zara & Dua actually reminded me of the conversation Kajol has with Kareena, even though I don’t remember it clearly but I do know it was on the same lines as this one, so yeah to all those readers who make sure to remind me about Izteraab being a copy of We’re Family/Step Mom, I already know so now all you have to do is share your views on this episode without sharing the already known secret. ;)

ps: On a personal note I feel Saba Qamar should’ve gone for some different & classy scarves because the one’s she’s wearing actually seem really tacky.

I think it’s about time that the viewers are set free from this izteraab ASAP. They’ve pretty much done everything they could & have told us everything related to this dysfunctional family, so yes, we totally understand how things are going to roll, so it would be better if the camera rolled quickly & the drama ends because there’s no point in stretching the play.

It was good to see Jazib in this episode, just as a reminder that it’s his family who’s going through all this. I just didn’t really get how they made the surroundings of a potentially dead person so easy going like people especially Jazib doesn’t seem really bothered about Zara. Dua is just focusing more on serving juices to Zara & Zara’s main focus is on making Dua’s life hell till she lasts. Sorry to say but if we look at the bigger picture, it’s about time that we should be feeling sympathy for Zara’s character but sadly her scenes are nothing but a pain to watch.

Once again, I am kind of questioning the approach of the script because seems like Sofia was the lead actress & every actor around her was playing a supporting role because this kid has gotten a lot more coverage than required. They pretty much showed that Dua has won the kids over so there was no need to convince us with some more drama related to the questionable choices made by Sofia. Dua helped her & Sofia has become a fan. Not that it was necessary but if they showed how Dua helped Sofia, then they should’ve stopped right there. I just don’t get that a woman who is dying & is pretty much aware of it is not doing anything to subside her anger & agitation. Very conveniently Zara blames Dua for all the wrong things that have happened in her life & to her kids, so I think considering the few days Zara’s left with, she must reflect on the choices she made through out her life rather than just bursting out in anger every single time at Dua for the things she ain’t even responsible for.

It’s a high time that Zara should in literal sense start picking up the pieces & do what she can to spend some time with her family but all that we see her doing is spending some time with her friend & then watching some TV programs. She’s lethargic, we get it but from where does she get all the energy to shout at Dua? Zara already knew that Sofia got involved in something big so why didn’t she take hold of the situation straight away? Now when Dua seems to have tackled the issue perfectly, Zara still has found another reason to bring her down.

I feel the drama should end because it’s like they’re just beating around the bush without coming to a proper ending. Going by the preview, Dua still has some wits & time left to make Zara happy which she clearly can not, so in stead of trying to show that Dua made some efforts, they should wrap the story nicely by showing the efforts made by Zara to help Dua bond well with her kids as she’s going to live with them from now on rather than becoming a seemingly painful liability on them till her last breath. Ohkay, finally I can sense that this drama is on it’s way to an end & I hope it happens in another couple of episodes because I see no point in dragging such a story.

As much as I have been irritated by the boldness of Sofia’s character & the choices the writer has made in regards to her role, I wish where they have shown a 12 y/o being involved in a questionable flick, I hope they also had shown someone smacking her face, either Jazib, Zara or Dua so that her batameezi could subside. I am sorry but this little lady is a pain to watch & I will make sure I don’t follow any of the dramas in which she has a role to play. I know she’s playing a character of a girl who comes from a broken family but this just does not justify that a girl resorts to such stuff at such a young age. If the writer had nothing better to show then she should’ve opted for a girl who was at least in high-school or let’s say was 16 years of age because that still makes some sense but to show a girl who hasn’t even stepped into teenage years & is worried more about some guy thinking she can do whatever she wants, is a sick mentality & I feel the writer should reflect on the choices she makes while writing the scripts & should definitely be ashamed of giving such a twist to Sofia’s character.

Jazib is also a depiction of those weak men that frequent our TV screens every single day. I think he was having pre-withdrawal symptoms of Zara therefore he managed to overlook the past & was amazed at how amazing Zara was. It’s kind of upsetting to see such men having a win-win situation in the most nastiest of the circumstances. He has a young wife who takes care of his family & food & home, so that he gets the time to rekindle the feelings that he omce had for his first wife. A little sympathy does make some sense but those glances & gasps, that speechlessness because of Zara’s beauty was uncalled for.

Good for Zara that she is getting the attention that she wanted but it was ridiculous that she snatched that sweet moment & turned it into a complaint box regarding Dua. I even got to hear Jazib say that Zara has brought up their kids well & I am questioning the judgment of Jazib because we can clearly see how much of a good job Zara has done with Sofia especially. One thing I just couldn’t understand was the turn that Zara’s character took because the same day when Sofia was planning to hang out with her friends, Zara & Jazib were gone for dinner but the same night when Sofia went & confessed her feelings, Zara had a scarf wrapped around her head? That just didn’t make any sense but then it shows that the director is in a rush to end the drama so it comes as a good sign!

This time around I actually felt bad for Dua that no matter how hard she tries, she can never earn the respect of Zara but then after watching next episode’s preview, I think Zara will finally surrender & will confess her fears to Dua which for her sake I hope happens soon. Over all this has been a very average drama which makes me feel that if this drama wasn’t produced, we weren’t missing out on something big. Share your views on this episode.

Hmmm, this drama is now getting stretched & I feel the drama makers should start wrapping it up because I think 15 episodes would be more than enough for this story. It’s still watchable & I hope with this much happening in every episode, they wind it up nicely where we can follow it till the end with some interest on our hands.

Zara is obviously suffering but she is making sure to make Dua suffer with her too. Jazib as usual has no role to play because he’s too busy making money for his 2 wives that’s why it comes down to Zara & Dua now where Dua tries to keep things smooth, Zara finds one way or the other to insult her.

Zara; being a mother can’t see her kids mingling with Dua & getting candid with her therefore she is trying to over-take the affection they might have started to feel for their step-mother. These kids have not seen a mother figure of such sort who’d take care of the house as Zara was always busy with her job & no doubt she paid utmost attention to them but as she had a shared responsibility of her work, that resulted in the kids getting comfortable with Dua in no time as she is always there for them & the kids do not have to wait for someone to listen to them, they can share whatever & whenever they want to with Dua which is now making Zara uncomfortable.

The way Dua styled Sofia was because of the performance she was chosen for in the school but I saw no weight in Zara’s concern for how Dua was spoiling her daughter as that was just for a character she had to play in the school & it’s a norm that too at Sofia’s age. But to do more for her daughter so that she can lessen the charm of Dua, Zara tried to fulfil Sofia’s demands which had nothing to do with the school play at all. Zara easily blamed Dua for all the changes she felt in Sofia thinking she has been idealizing Dua which according to Zara was a bad influence on her & I think Zara needs to understand that if she had given her kids enough time to idealize their mother, then Sofia wouldn’t have deviated away so easily.

As much as I was concerned for the girl playing the character of Sofia, I think they have kind of crossed the limits by showing a girl of her age involving herself into some questionable activities & easily portraying the trend of dating. I know this is what’s prevalent in the society these days & dating has become a much accepted norm but to show it on the TV screen & that too by involving KIDS (who don’t even know how to speak) into it for the sake of a drama is ridiculous. I think enough attention has been given to Sofia & her problems, so the story could’ve moved forward without this bit too.

As much as Dua is being considerate & how she has invited Zara to stay at the place Dua owns now, she is being put up with a lot of blaming for no good reason. Once again Zara found an easy way out & held Dua responsible for Sofia’s dating because it made no sense whatsoever. Even though Zara knows that she has a very little time left to spend with her family, she is still not focusing on her kids & is hell-bent in giving Dua a tough time. If Zara snaps out of the sheer fixation of belittling Dua then I feel she’ll be able to give her kids some good memories of her to cling onto before she parts with them. Share your say on this.

So this episode was based on what’s Zara’s going through & what’s she feeling. I think Dua’s character has definitely taken a nice turn & she is making some sense right now. I think the treatment Dua’s character has gotten is worth an appreciation because finally, they showed a supposed dumb & shallow girl taking right decisions & even standing up for her rights but politely by literally not rubbing her position into other’s faces. All points to Dua!

Obviously, Jazib was oblivious of what he should’ve done but just because Dua showed him the right direction, he understood that Zara needs to feel welcomed because she is not well. The last thing I want to see was Jazib rekindling his feelings for Zara because he is seeing her with an eye of sympathy. If he feels so much & now thinks he can be vocal about his thoughts, then he must take care of Dua’s feelings because she allowed Zara to come to their home for Jazib’s sake. Dua is tolerating all the criticism & those glances just because she loves Jazib & wants to see him happy & unburdened. She has never taken advantage of him & has never once exploited his love to earn something but sadly Zara is unable to see that.

I think to show her suffering was enough instead of letting the kids know about it as well where they took the name of that disease like 10 times & succeeding in making me cringe. I think this drama has exposed the kids to a lot of things like first a broken marriage then the concept of polygamy & now the reaction to a certain disease. The drama makers need to understand that whenever they hire a child artist, they are catering to the young & immature viewers too because they can relate to their age-fellows seen on the TV, so they need to rethink what sort of material they want the kids to be exposed to.

Zara dreads seeing her kids getting derailed because of Dua’s negligence but I think Zara needs to understand that Dua might not have played such a major role in spoiling them as much as Zara’s decision of moving out from their home did. The kids are shattered so they’re resorting to things they deem fit because their mother’s away & father’s too busy in his work & business trips. Also, Dua gets a leeway as she can’t be too stern with the kids to earn herself a label of being a bad step mother. She tries to deal with them with as much affection & care as she can extend but just because Zara’s kids give Dua a hard-time, Zara should first teach them some manners & then in return expect Dua to fulfill her duty properly.

I liked the ending scene where Dua managed to make a subtle point of her notifying her presence in Jazib’s life. Even though she doesn’t say much but she knows when’s the right time to react which makes her character a lot more likable & real as this is her right too. She moved into this mess just because she loved Jazib & not only him but the baggage that came with him as well, so for that she had every right to protect herself & stand up for herself.

I am kind of concerned about the seriousness of Zara’s disease because her shiny curled locks & rosy pink lips aren’t giving away much about her illness & to add more to it her energy with which she shuns Dua away is making things seem a bit unrealistic. Let’s see what happens next.

Last thing I wanted to see in this drama was the quivering lips of some uncle we don’t even know nor even have sympathy with. Do they really think that by throwing in some more characters they’ll be able to pull off a well-packaged drama? I say they’re mistaken because what would be better is them concentrating more on the main characters of the drama & etching them out appropriately that by the end of the episode or even the drama we feel a thing or two for them.

Dua has finally taken responsibility of the kids & she is doing her part really well. Khala Masooma had a say in this episode too where she goes like ‘hum damaad pe bojh to nahi ban saktay’, whereas Dua only asked about what her future plans was seeing the physical condition of her father. Khala Masooma knows how to toss things in her favour because she gave clear hints to Dua in a hope that very open-heartedly she’ll invite her mother to stay with her. I feel this is why Khala Masooma spoke about her son-in-law or else why would she do that? I kind of feel that Khala Masooma is a bipolar patient because one thing she says pretty much doesn’t match the other.

Sofia has started to open up a bit & she is seeing Dua past the facade of she being a step-mom. Dua has played her part really well in making the kids love her because she understands their mind frame as she herself has experienced what the kids go through when their father get married to someone else. Luckily for Dua, this lesson helped her in cracking the code of how she can connect with Sofia & Tabrez. Tabrez being too young was already smitten by her but it was Sofia who needed to be worked upon. This little getaway to Sialkot has does a trick & Sofia is now relying on Dua & also has a shift of tone too.

Zara finally had a procedure & I am not sure if a patient feels really so well to chuck on a red lipstick & some shimmery eye shadows just the very next day. Zara has opened up to Dua because she has understood the reality & is now facing the facts. She knows that time’s slipping away & she has no other option except of relying on Dua because Dua has time & again reassured her of how much she loves Jazib’s kids. I think the ending scene of the phone conversation between the two ladies was done really well & Dua’s confession helped in easing the pain of Zara which she might feel in a concern of her kids. Jazib Jee was definitely missing while so much was happening but I think now the secret’s out & he will go into a shell where he’ll detest himself for not taking care of Zara, or that might never even happen because that’s Jazib Jee we’re talking about.

The characters of both the ladies in this drama are definitely good, they aren’t like the typical ones we’re coming across these days. Very easily they could’ve turned Dua’s character into that of a young snot who is taking advantage of her husband’s love but I am glad they showed Dua as someone who understands the complexity of the circumstances around her, acts accordingly & responsibly without demanding anything in return. No doubt at first, her character seemed annoying but I think her wisdom is appreciable. Share what you felt about tonight’s episode.

My goodness! This episode was just not ending. I was whatsapping in between, surfing the internet but still it seemed never-ending. Finally! A sigh of relief that it got over & now I get to have my say on this for a week.

Jazib has pretty much understood that he was half responsible for the rift between him & Zara so now he doesn’t want to repeat those mistakes again. If Jazib was ready to start afresh where he understood that a wife needs a me-time too & she has to have a life of her own where she can be whatever she wants to be, so why didn’t he give that chance to Zara for once? It’s like Jazib was tired of her & wanted to get rid of her that’s why he took the plunge of re-marrying when he saw that Zara herself parted ways. He didn’t even bother reconciling with her which definitely shows that he wanted to get over with that relation & now when he did, he thinks he can save the day by confessing his faults out of nowhere. All of a sudden Jazib now wants to see a domesticative girl turn into a career woman, so when he already had one, why was he hell-bent on making her a kitchen ki chipkali? It looks like Jazib is someone who just can’t be happy with whatever he gets. When he had Zara, a career-oriented woman, he was fascinated by the idea of a young lass who was good at making rotis & now when he has gotten the roti-maker, kinoo-peeler & a baby-sitter; he wants to see her as someone else. Bored Jazib ki boring kahaniyaan!

As much as I liked that the girl playing the character of Sofia was a flawless actress, I am actually concerned at such mature & pakkay hue dialogues she has to deliver. Her conversation with Jazib in the car was no doubt realistic but I feel a little too much to digest seeing it coming from a girl her age. She’s good I mean the character but is now getting unbearable seeing how rude she is. Tabrez was in a back-seat all this while, he was like a cutie who’s a huge fan of peter pan but in this episode I saw him as a son of Jazib because of the obvious fixation to acha khana. It looked like he was on a loop saying ‘Dua acha khana banati hai’, ‘Dua itna acha khana banati hai’. He certainly took that after his father & ta-da it’s proven.

As much as I thought that they had given this story a very realistic execution, things started to get a little unrealistic when we were told that Zara managed to hide her illness from her husband all these years Ohkay, that’s still digestible but what’s not is she undergoing a procedure & very easily telling her husband that he can fetch the kids from school, as if that’s all there’s to it. Jazib himself knows that she has left the job so Zara posing to be busy is definitely an excuse no one would buy & no one should buy. Plus if they think that now Jazib after finding out about Zara’s illness would have a sudden realization which will make us believe that he loved her, they’re sadly mistaken because till now he seems pretty much settled with Dua & without Zara, so I think it would be a better idea to still show him staying indifferent because he has been good at it.

One dialogue that caught my attention was ‘Abbu ki dusri biwi bhaag gain’. I am glad that in such a heavy-hearted episode they managed to make us giggle because I grabbed the opportunity & laughed a lot. Seems like we’ll be seeing Khala Masooma in the next episode & a lot of her at that too. Not that anyone was missing her & her hard-hitting stories which were so hard to understand but yeah, don’t want to see what she has to say. Anyways, I hope & wish that they switch to PTV’s policy of a 13-episode-drama, because I see no reason for Izteraab exceeding the number. Share your views about the episode.

Ohkay, kind of a slow episode but still better in terms of a progress in the story. Actors have played their parts really well but I am kind of concerned for the young girl playing the character of Sofia. I know she is just acting but I am concerned as to what she is learning during this whole experience of acting in a drama. As one of the dear readers raised a question & a valid one that we’ve started to see a lot of child artists being involved in the dramas, where they are a part of the family issues too no matter how big or complex. Even though the kids are just doing their bits in acting but other than that, they are real people with innocent minds who are open to all sort of things that come their way. The way the director has made Sofia act like an angry girl who’s upset all the time, I hope she ain’t taking anything related to this role with her. I think it’s a high time that the kids are left out of these so-called ‘family dramas’ & are not involved into all this because even then the young viewers get attracted to seeing their age fellows in the dramas & that starts another cycle of bad influence.

Coming onto the drama, Jazid has finally understood that his kids are not Dua’s responsibility. Finally we can see Dua ke parathay burps k saath saath rang bhi la rahay hain. He was clear about this fact that he & Zara need to sort out their issues to think better for the kids. Jazib showed a lot of concern for Dua & her career as a teacher. Wasn’t Jazib always upset with Zara because of her being so career-oriented? So, why all of a sudden he reminded Dua worriedly that this is just a beginning of her career & she needs to focus more on it. Just because he heard Dua say that this job is not her priority, he is happy that the moment he will wave a flag, she’ll leave the job & run towards him & just because he didn’t get this edge from Zara that he was her priority & her career wasn’t, he was seen upset & complained about thick edges of the roti all the time.

I don’t really know why but I feel Zara’s character in the beginning was better. It is definitely appreciable that she tries to talk Sofia out of hatred that she feels for Dua but on the other hand Zara needs to understand that Sofia is under the clear impression of how Zara herself treats Dua, how she misbehaves & looks down at her, that’s why this is exactly what Sofia does with Dua too. Zara needs to understand that the change in her attitude will allow the kids to look past the hatred & they will then accept Dua as well. I felt the way Dua stood up for herself was something good. She now has to make sure that she isn’t run over or bossed around by anyone because she has a self-respect too.

Zara has finally found out that the tumour which she was ignoring has now taken a form of a lethal disease. Zara told her friend that she found out about the tumour when Tabrez was 6 months old & I am assuming back then Zara & Jazib must’ve had a pretty healthy relationship because they had just welcomed their baby boy, so was it really possible that Zara hid her condition from Jazib, & if she actually did, what was she thinking? Weren’t they so much in love that Jazib was oblivious of what his wife was going through, despite it being a minor thing? I think the way they have ignored the part of showing us how & WHY they actually grew out of each other, raises a lot of question & makes certain things a lot more blurry. We get to see Jazib & Zara holding hands, strolling like a happy couple whenever Zara goes into her past, so when she has good memories, what actually was the reason that they both ended up separated? I think it must be Jazib’s fixation to patli roti then which made Zara detest & loathe him because other than that I don’t see any valid reason for them being so unhappy with each other?

Let’s find out what happens next.

Ohkay, I must say this episode reminded me so much of what the principal said to Jazib & Zara in the previous episode & that is the need of their issues being sorted by themselves. It looks like in their battle, Dua is getting dragged, beaten & is suffering unnecessarily.

I must say I couldn’t help feeling sorry for Dua because of the position she gets to, as from one side she gets blamed by Zara & on the other Jazib burdens her with more responsibilities. Jazib straight away told Dua that she is lacking in taking care of the kids which was totally unreasonable because it’s like now he even expects her to check if the screws of the window grills are intact every night before she sleeps. Jazib loves telling her how irresponsible she is but I want someone to pose the same question to him asking how much has he done for the kids himself? He loves tossing away his responsibilities & then sleeping but what he can’t do is take care of ‘his’ own kids who stay in ‘his’ home. He certainly found a quick substitute for Zara seeing how she was ignoring his needs, so why can’t he replace Dua with a bit more younger, a bit more domesticated third wife, who’d take care of his kids on his behalf?

The whole thief issue could’ve been avoided IF Jazib had sent the kids to Zara or if Zara herself had taken the kids with her knowing that Jazib was going out on a business trip. The way she reminded Dua that she was falling short on her responsibility was irrational too. It wasn’t that Dua gave an invitation to the theif because her responsibility stops at the door step & it doesn’t mean that she had to do a night patrolling just because she is taking care of someone else’s kids. Zara blamed everything on Dua that she is spoiling her kids & what not, so when she herself knows that Dua is a simpleton who teaches nothing but bad stuff to her kids, then why rely so much on her in the very first place?

Jazib met Zara & the way he threw a tantrum on Dua was once again uncalled for. He missed a lunch (which, by the way, is a big deal) just because the kids refused to come with him & chose to stay with Zara. Jazib was unhappy with Dua because he thought she was the culprit but why didn’t he ask himself if he was being a good father or not? Even after eating home-made Jalebis, Jazib is now having second thoughts that he should’ve waited till Nano’s death so that Zara could’ve left the job & they had stayed together because the main reason of bone of contention between Jazib & Zara was Zara’s job, but now when she has left it, Jazib was looking at her in an awe of how perfect she is. I think of all the characters in this drama, the award for the worst character goes to Jazib, yes, no surprises there.

Zara certainly has ego issues, I never knew that I’d say that about her but the way she is being negative is definitely giving me the reason to. She never left job because she didn’t want to give this satisfaction of winning to Jazib & she never wanted to be bossed around by him, but now when she has left it based on her own decision, she still dragged Jazib’s name in between. Leaving a job was her own choice, she decided to compromise on her marriage but never let go of her job in the first place but now when she has done it, she should accept it solely & gracefully that too without any regrets because she is doing it for her kids who are her priority & no one else.

Seeing how Jazib & Zara both rely on Dua & then belittle her is annoying. Dua was being annoying initially but that’s how she is, they have molded her character like that but just because is domesticated, Zara thinks she is incapable of doing anything & just because unforeseeable things happen, Jazib ends up blaming her too, which I feel is a lot demeaning & they are actually bashing the girls who believe in being good housewives. I think they both need to sit down & decide what they want to do, keeping Dua aside. Zara in the end obviously had to ask Dua for a favor so I am thinking how did she depend on her, how did she think that Dua was capable enough that she’d be able to pick the right kids from the right school? As per Zara, she has no brains right?

Anyways, Jazib’s little story reading gave away the future of this play. In a few lines he read the script but I must say that the way they have tackled the script so far, no one could’ve guessed what was about to happen. I feel that people tried to unveil the story by publishing articles & commenting about it way too early which spoiled the charm of the story because I feel if that wouldn’t have happened, we might as well have felt for the characters a lot more because now it has just become a normal detail that we all are waiting for to happen. Phew! It was such a slow & boring episode plus a lot louder & negative than required. I know they have tried to tell how the break up between parents can affect the whole family but I guess the loudness could’ve been lowered a couple of notches down to make it tolerable.

I am having serious issues in understanding Jazib’s character & what exactly he wants. He tells Dua to be like a mother to Sofia & Tabrez but the very next moment he sets his record on a loop telling Dua that Zara is the actual mother of those kids, so when he knows it & clearly he seems least bothered about them, why can’t he once & for all tell Zara to take & keep them with her?

Very conveniently Jazib took an off from the whole fiasco & went to Dubai to make Dua suffer & without a doubt Jazib himself knows that kids are giving her a tough time so why not take her along? I feel for Zara a lot especially how she has been left alone but I found her a bit unnecessarily loud & unreasonable in this particular episode. It’s like at first she doesn’t trust Jazib & Dua both with her kids but now when Jazib’s gone & Dua is on her own, Zara still agreed that the kids must stay at Jazib’s place that too when she knew Tabrez thought an intruder broke into his room? I feel it’s a huge flaw in the execution of the story. Zara scurries back to the kids & longs to keep them with her but now when she had a good opportunity of doing so, she actually wasted it. She clearly dislikes Dua & thinks she can’t do anything right related to kids, so was it that necessary that kids actually spend the night at Jazib’s home because for the rest of the day they were with their mother? They could’ve easily stayed with her, at her place like they usually do on the weekends!

This episode focused more on how Sofia is getting affected by her parent’s separation & how bitter she is becoming but I feel both Jazib & Zara are being too lenient & ignoring the root cause. It’s like they never sat together again & told the kids how they need to cope up to the change. Jazib is clearly disinterested in what his kids are feeling but Zara takes care of the tiniest details, so I guess she needs to be vocal about the issue & encourage them that she’s there for them, rather than just performing her duties of a driver all day long.  The teacher was spot on when he said that both the parents need to come out of their own misery to deal with the kids properly.

When the episode began & Sofia spoke ill of Dua, I thought Zara tackled it brilliantly by stopping her straight away but she isn’t understanding that no matter how much she tells the kids to be nice, she herself has to be nice to Dua so that the kids can pick that thing up & treat them as something. Zara herself treats her miserably & then expects that the kids would come to terms with the fact that Dua has filled the spot next to Jazib which was empty.

I really like Sofia’s acting but I feel the poor kid was yelling irritatingly. I just couldn’t handle the shrieks & the shrills at the lower volume too. I hope they can do better because for now it looks like they lack the substance in the story so they’re trying to drag the drama on the basis of the kids, their attitude & their sufferings which is now becoming repetitive.

Ohkay, this episode didn’t give much in regards to the story but yes, gave us a lot of reasons to loathe Jazib Jee.

Zara & Nano’s conversation gave us an insight that Zara has been struggling with the responsibilites ever since Sophia was in pre-school. So what was Jazib doing all these years? For a moment I felt that at least Zara might cross Jazib’s mind but seems like he’s pretty much settled with his new wife & doesn’t really care how his kids are dealing with the change. As per him, they are just kids when Dua complains but on the other hand he expects them to act & understand everything maturely which I feel is completely selfish of him.

Very easily Jazib told Dua that she needs to have a firm hand on the kids as they are becoming ill-mannered, so I am guessing, apart from the office hours, he has so much time to spend with the kids, so why doesn’t he teach them what they need to learn because he’s their, uh what’s the word FATHER I guess!!! How very conveniently Jazib labeled his kids as batameez, but when it came down to him, he tossed his share of responsibility on Dua as well that now she needs to look after every single thing, starting from their morning alarms to their upbringing to their garam garam parathas. 

While looking at Dua & listening to the conversations she had with Jazib, I kept on wondering Masterchef Pakistan is starting just at the right time, because now she’d be getting so many ideas as to what she must cook for her Jazib Jee every single day, isn’t it interesting? I know she is having a hard time with the kids & they are giving her a tough time as well but are we ever going to hear her talk about anything other than the kids or the food?

Khala Masooma had a short say in this episode & now looks like she went back to her husband so as to understand how step-moms & second wives roll. That’s how she is learning the art of dealing with the second wife & she gives on the pointers to her daughter Dua because she’s in the same spot & she thinks by relating her experience to Dua’s position she can teach her how to make the kids love her. I am glad Sophia’s doing everything possible to make Dua lose her calm.

I don’t know but I felt there were too many shots of Jazib & Dua resting in their room. I don’t know but I feel that much coziness was unsightly. We know the drill, they both have gotten married & Jazib is now sleeping peacefully after eating a good meal he was waiting for his whole life, but to actually show those shots over & over again was unnecessary. I guess they can only show Dua in the frame but now they even had some conversations on the bed which made me upset, I mean things can be shown out of the bed & out of the room so why so much emphasis on shaneel ki maroon blanket & ruffled up hair?

As always, I felt for Zara a lot more. She was upset & she was thinking about Jazib too. It’s like in this separation, the only person at loss was Zara because Jazib is still in the same home, with his kids & totally happy with his new-found chef/wife/babysitter/kinoo peeler & what not. But the only person who’s suffering the most is Zara. I don’t know if there’s a stop to her miseries but seeing her spend time with her kids was definitely a highlight of the episode topped up with the perfect dialogue that she said to Dua which was ‘ja k khana banao’. Dua’s response was quick & seems like she has started to unwind pretty qucikly too. Let’s see what happens next.

Wallahi, this Jazib guy needs to be imprisoned. I am glad that the episode ended at a funny note & I had a fair share of laughter. Jazib found so much peace & relaxation that he even forgot he had an office to attend & the kids had to go to the school.

I really don’t get why Jazib hurried into the decision of marrying Dua? Why didn’t he prepare his kids for it or why didn’t he pep-talk them into it? It’s like he was actually waiting for Zara to leave so that he can fill in the blank ASAP. I really didn’t even get Khala Masooma’s phulla hua muh? She kept on haunting Dua for how she wronged Zara but was she actually THIS hopeless that she couldn’t prevent this from happening? She couldn’t stop Dua from replacing Zara? She couldn’t stop her only daughter to make such a huge mistake? All her dialogues were repetitive & her frowning face was annoying. I mean if she actually & really regretted what happened & knew all the consequences before-hand, why didn’t she retaliate at all? It’s like she gave her a permission & had a celebratory party within her heart seeing her daughter conquer a rich handsome guy.

I must say the child artists have performed their roles so well & the girl playing the role of Sophia actually portrayed what children in these sorts of situations go through, really well. I still couldn’t help but feel for Zara because she never lagged in her responsibilities & was a really good mother despite being hands full.

I must say I laughed a lot at Jazib, his excuses & his justifications. He goes around saying ‘mujhe Dua jaisi biwi ki hi zaroorat thi’ ‘ye ghar Dua jaisi larki ka hi muntazir tha’. The spark on his face when Dua mentions that she’s going to make breakfast with her own precious hands was worth a watch. It’s like Dua was a hasil of his life & now his life is complete. I was like ‘yeah right’ when Jazib told Khala Masooma that Zara was never the girl he wanted as his wife & whatever he said at the dinner table back then was nothing but a truth. Jazib’s question that ‘Khuda janay is mai kya maslehat thi’ was asked masoomiyat-ly too. Does he really don’t know the answer? Maslehat ye thi k Jazib ko itne garam parathay milain k wo obese ho jaye. I am not sure if this will happen but I do want Jazib to regret his decision & understand the importance of Zara – a headstrong girl in his life who knew how to lead a family & not be someone who is submissive to a point where she herself doesn’t know what she needs to do.

The ending scene where Jazib & Dua fail to wake up was actually really funny. Jazib’s messed up hair made things a bit more humorously real & how easily he told Dua that next time the kids should never be late for their school & she goes like ‘jee’. I mean is he even worth being a father when he keeps tossing his part of the work on his wives? Whatever he said to the kids about Zara was ridiculous. It’s like he is keeping them in a dark & telling them a bunch of lies that Zara left with her own choice & she doesn’t want to reconcile? Did he even try & why didn’t he tell his kids that he is a wuss who got swayed at the sight of garam garam parathas that he decided to throw his marriage out of the window & didn’t even take a split second to think about his family & moved on selfishly.

The ending scene of Khala Masooma was absolutely ridiculous where she tried to make Dua guilty again. I mean what does she want now & does she really think that all her wisdom talk will undo the chaos in Zara’s life? It was Khala Masooma who was worried about her daughter Dua & now all of a sudden, out of a blue moon she is feeling for Zara like she’s unable to breathe? I am glad that Sophia is giving Dua a hard time & Zara is not at all compromising on the things related to her kids because she left them at Dua’s mercy because Jazib assured that Dua can be a better mother, now it’s time for Dua to prove herself. Let’s see what happens next!
