Saroj Khan the leading Indian choreographer passed way yesterday.

Saroj Khan had choreographed many iconic songs whose dance steps are still followed.

In her career of over 40 years Saroj Khan choreographed more than 2000 songs.

Saroj Khan’s family migrated from NWFP to Mumbai during partition times. Saroj Khan got married to a dance choreographer B. Sohanlal at the age of 13 whereas her husband was 43 years old at that time. Later she got separated and re-married a Muslim businessman Sardar Roshan Khan in 1975. Together they have a daughter.

In an interview Saroj Khan shared how she converted to Islam. She said: “My original name was Saroj Kishanchand Sadhu Singh Nagpal, I met my husband, fell in love and we got married. I got converted to Islam not because of my husband’s love but because I love Islam.”

“I used to see kids praying which Hinduism was lagging. I myself went to Jammia Masjid and converted to Islam, they even asked my whether your are converting because of any pressure or free will”

Coronavirus has locked everyone inside their homes. People are requested to stay in isolation for some days until the situation gets better. China has controlled the death rate, and people are recovering from the disease. 

Pakistani celebrities are in quarantine. They keep on posting their pictures and videos on social media about how they are spending their time in isolation. Sarwat Gilani is keeping her kids busy with art and craft activities, Hira Mani and Maya Ali are busy packing rations for the needy families, Saba Faisal is doing the home chores to keep herself busy. 

Sarah Khan recently gave a quick interview to Subah Sa Agay over Skype. The host asked about her daily schedule these days to which she replied that she is actually enjoying the time with her family. Being an artist, it’s not possible to spend a lot of time at home, so, it’s a good chance to enjoy some quality time. She further added that she is keeping herself busy with all the home chores: cleaning every corner, washing dishes to washing clothes, and cooking delicious food for all the family members. She was a guest on Mazaq Raat and shared how she was able to win her very first lead role while Maria Wasti was present for an audition.

Resham revealed that she used to go to audition with her brother and she had done supporting characters when she was able to bag her first lead on PTV. She was present at the studios and there were big names of today auditioning for that role. Resham said that she saw Maria Wasti there and she was speaking in perfect English with everyone while her own Urdu even had problems. This made her think that she will not get the character.

Resham however won that role as makers thought that Maria’s English was too much while they can work with Resham on her Urdu. That is the drama where she was first introduced as Resham as her original name Saima was dropped by her sister as Saima Khan was already a big star.

His character has several layers and despite Ammar being a criminal, he is still gaining sympathy from millions. Nameer Khan was a guest on Maliha Rehman’s show and he spoke about how his craft has improved after Qarz e Jaan. He gave his 100% and learnt everything from everyone to make the character look real. The hard work paid off as people have loved Ammar despite him being a criminal due to a convincing performance.
