Humayun Saeed Talks About The Success Of Mere Paas Tum Ho

Humayun Saeed has received praise for his work in this drama. In an interview, he talks about what made this serial successful and his upcoming projects.
“Initially when anyone would ask me about my opinion of the serial, I’d say that ‘I don’t know about the ratings but the entire country will talk about it’ and now that is actually happening,” Humayun said.
“When I said the entire country would talk about it, I knew part of it was because of the criticism it is going to face. But that’s what made it so successful – the way the script is written is more interesting than the storyline,” said Humayun Saeed.
He also talked about how each and every timing was perfect in the drama. “Another thing was the timing – the time it took for Mehwish to leave Danish, and Danish to recover and retaliate, all of it kept the audience on its toes. When I finally slapped the character the whole country loved it! How one slap brought relief to the Pakistani audience because that was also something they were waiting for.”
“Upcoming episodes will have similar shockers, as for Sawera’s role in the serial is concerned, we wanted her because we wanted someone with dominating expressions,” Humayun shared.
Humayun also shared that it is pretty difficult for him to manage both TV and film. “If I’ve done this after three years then I might do another after two years.”
He concluded and said, “Since we can’t rely on Indian movies anymore, we need to produce more of ours and this is the opportunity we should capitalize on.”
Humayun Saeed Talks About Pride Of Performance And Future Plans
Humayun Saeed is the superstar of the entertainment industry who has been conferred with the Pride of Performance for his contribution to the industry.
In a recent interview, he talked about Pride of Performance and his feelings on getting this honour.
Humayun Saeed shared, “I think I am still learning and trust me I am not saying this just to show off. Still, when I am shooting a new film I am so nervous on the first day and it feels like I am acting for the first time. I am not acting this is the reality. So I am still learning.”
“If people say I did good work in Punjab Nahi Jaungi or in Mere Paas Tum Ho I would say that was my experience and I am progressing in my work. I am thankful to God and all the people who have worked with me and the audience who is still bearing me.”
He further said, “I never thought about Pride of Performance and I believed that I will get this award at an old age but when I got this I realized its value.”
Talking about criticism on Pride of Performance he said, “You are right that there is always criticism but in my case, I received lots of love and people were genuinely happy. Many actors called me and it felt like they wanted me to get this award and they were happy. Nobody said that I received this award at an early age however many said that I should have received this award earlier but I think I got this at the right time. If I have received this award at an early age then there must be lots of criticism.”
“I have seen success in the last 5-6 years and due to my drama Mere Paas Tum Ho I received lots of appreciation and people are happy for me. I feel like Mere Paas Tum Ho has played a great role in getting me this award”, he added.
Humayun Saeed also talked about his upcoming project London Nahi Jaungi and said, “We have to shoot another part of the film in London but we have no idea when we will resume the shooting. As soon as the conditions are better we will be back to shooting.”
“The first half of the film is very nice due to its scripts. It has the same feel like Punjab Nahi Jaungi. You can call it a sequel of Punjab Nahi Jaungi but the story is different. The characters are similar and yet very different in this film.”
Humayun Saeed wants people to support Pakistani movies and visit cinemas while following all the sops.

Humayun Saeed Talks About Much Awaited ‘Punjab Nahi Jaungi’
The collaboration of Six Sigma Plus, ARY Films, and Nadeem Baig has always done wonders. Projects like Pyaray Afzal, Jawani Phir Nahi Aani, Dil lagi were blockbusters and now the makers are all set to give us Punjab Nahi Jaungi. PNJ is currently under production, the shooting started in November and will end in three days in Hyderabad.
Somethinghaute got in touch with the male lead Humayun Saeed and here’s what he had to say. “Punjab Nahi Jaungi has been shot across Pakistan and is the polar opposite of JPNA. It’s completely different and is a pure Pakistani film,” Humayun says.
“PNJ is actually very much like Dillagi. Not story-wise, perhaps, but in the sense that it has the same aura, chemistry and the hero is very similar in that he’s a simple yet strong man,” he added.
When asked who plays the villain, the negative role?
“There is no negative role, no villain in the film,” he replied,
The teaser of the film will be out soon, Humayun reassured, adding that it really does look very good. “I can’t say whether the film will be a success and I am nervous but the teaser looks fantastic, I have to say. Anyone who has seen it has loved it. I hope the audience will love it too,” said Humayun.

“After my marriage, I moved to another house, leaving my parents behind. They were not happy with my decision at all but at that time I didn’t have much resources to run a house, I just bought a small apartment for ourselves”, said Humayun.

First, I made a place into the top five, then I made the place in to top two. I took help from Nadir, he taught me things and approved my audition. I also gave an audition with Elizabeth Debicki. I got excited but still they didn’t call me, they called me when I stopped waiting for it, I stopped it”.

The set of Selahaddin Eyyubi is grand and huge, and I think it’s the biggest collaboration that pakistan has ever done with any other industry or international media, it is huge, a few pakistani actors will also work in it so that people can connect that it’s a collaboration of Pakistan, I can’t say anything about working in the drama because of language barrier, it is being shot in Turkish language, maybe I would do a short character. The world is celebrating International Women’s Day to celebrate the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.
On this day, Humayun Saeed has come up with a special message for girls education.
In a video message, he shared the importance of girls education. Taking to Twitter he captioned his video, “13 million or the majority of the out-of-school children in Pakistan are girls. Together we can change this!”
Humayun Saeed shared that the majority of children in Pakistan are deprived of education and most of them are girls.
He requested Government and public representatives to make primary and secondary school accessible for all children.
The Mere Paas Tum Ho starlet advised parents to send their daughters to school in order to secure their future.

Love Guru is an upcoming Pakistani romantic comedy film which is releasing on this Eid ul Azha 2025.
